Dreams!

I shared with you earlier an article about dreams. I want to continue with you about visions and dreams. Visions and dreams are promised to God’s children! God imparts these into His own for encouragement! My people perish for a lack of knowledge! The natural man dreams and you might call them nightmares! The dreams of the natural man look back! The dreams of the spiritual man will always look forward! The Bible is a forward looking book! The Bible is a living book! Satan will always try to get you to look back because he hates his future! Satan will always try to remind you of your past to enslave you in sin today! The Bible says Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever! That is why I can quote you a scripture out of the old testament written thousands of years ago or a theologian who lived a thousand years ago and it applies today and tomorrow! Looking forward for the believer leads to joy! Pharaoh had a dream but only troubled him until Joseph came along! Satan will try to convince you do not have a future! If you believe him then you have no future just like him! During World War II Stalin had a military and political advisor named Nakita Khrushchev. After Russia had lost 2 million men in battle with Hitler Stalin told Nakita that like his other General’s that failed him it was time for you to commit suicide so you could be a good example to the living if they fail me! Nakita told Stalin that this war was not your fault or my fault and even though it looks hopeless we will prevail and win this war! God always has us looking forward! Our youth in America have no hope because of betrayal by their leaders! The Bible has been removed from their lives through public education, popular culture and a host of other venues! Anti-Zionism is Alive and Well!

What are the three most hated nations in the world? They are Iran, North Korea and Israel! Israel? How can this be? They say the only thing man has learned from history is that he has not learned from history! Jesus said you will be persecuted because of me! Usually our political views are shaped by our religious views or lack of them. As in the case of Islam this continues and then the political views become militarized! This is what happened to Nazi Germany. However here in America things are not so simple! Culturally America is discounting the Bible as it is being pushed out of our schools and public places. It is being replaced with other world views. Anti-Zion and Anti-Christian thought are linked together. Popular culture is abandoning Christ! It is interesting that in any culture when the Holy scriptures are abandoned or rejected then a world view or philosophy develop that opposes scripture! Notice they do not run parallel to each other but oppose each other! So our popular culture enforces movements politically like abortion, gays, lesbians, drug use, gambling, ect. Yes promotion of evil that the scriptures oppose! Simply a war between good and evil! Sadly in church history the church has not been a supporter of Israel either! There are a small minority of Christians in America who actively support Israel. Today the Jews in Europe are fleeing back to Israel under persecution from Islam. The Christians in Europe are perplexed on how to deal Muslims living in their communities? During Hitler’s purge the Jews had no homeland to escape too! A Jewish chemist helped England win World War I against Germany. This helped set up a return to their homeland. What has happened to American support to Israel under President Obama? Sadly he has a contempt for Israel! He being a Muslim I understand that. In his book “Audacity of Hope”, he explains that when push comes to shove he will side with Islam! Right now as Benjamin Netanyahu runs for re-election rich Obama supporters are spending millions of dollars trying to defeat him! Jesus is a Jew as all the writers of scripture. The cell phone was invented in Israel! About 80 percent of all inventions come through the Jews! Hitler kicked Albert Einstein out of Germany in the 1930’s. He came to America through the Manhattan Project developed the Atomic bomb which helped win World War II. We have been so Blessed by the Jews yet the world hates them? I have learned through many years of Bible Study that God loves the Jews, Christians and women! Satan hates the Jews, Christians and women! The seed of the woman shall bruise the head of the serpent! Sharing Your Faith With Others! Matthew 7:6

I love the balance the scriptures provide to us! We are commanded by Christ to go our into all the world to preach the Gospel or good news! However Jesus did not send us out to get blind sided by Satan! Jesus said in Matthew 7:6, “Give not that which is Holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and rend you!” The word Holy here means someone physically pure or a moral person. The word rend means to tear in pieces. Jesus is reminding us to be wise with the beauty He has given us. We know that the world is one third Christian. If the entire world has heard about Christ and made a decision for Him or have rejected Him then one out of three has accepted Him and two out of three have rejected Him. I wish our evangelism programs were this good! Bottom line is we need the whole council of God and the entire Bible both Old and New Testament gives us an important balance to our Faith as we live for Him! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. Snake Bit Pastor Dies!

First of all our condolences to the Jamie Coots family! I believe he is in Heaven but I also believe he has misinterpreted scripture! It is an easy thing to do. Our prayers are for his son Cody that he not follow this same path. It is not easy to tell any son his father is wrong! Let me explain why I think he was wrong. Luke 10:19. A snake is a physical manifestation of the spirit of Satan! Jesus gives us power over Satan. This power is not proven by picking up snakes but is demonstrated by victory over sin! When Jesus was tempted or tested by Satan in Luke 4:12 and Matthew 4:7, He said you shall not test the Lord thy God! In Deuteronomy 6:16 it says, “You shall not test or tempt the Lord thy God as you tested Him in Massah.” In Isaiah 7:12 it says, “But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt or test the Lord.” In Matthew 6:13 Jesus said in the Lord’s prayer, “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” The word temptation (Strongs 3986), from the Greek means ; put to the test. In Psalm 26:2 David is praying to God and the word try here means to purify me as gold in the fire. In Psalm 139:23 David is asking God to test him. The word test as used in Malachi 3:10 (Strongs 974) (Bachan), refers to God testing humanity. The point here is we do not test God! When we sin we test God! God will test us and Satan will test us! The victory comes when we are tested and Trust God at His Word! Ed Cole used to say, “Any truth carried to an extreme becomes an untruth!” I can test God if I do something foolish and expect God to rescue me! Let me give you some examples. Lord I want to go to hell so in your name I can cast out demons and get all these people to Heaven! You could not do it but I can! I know a man in Macon Georgia who went into the night clubs to save people. He is a drunk today! Lord let me go and lay with this prostitute so I can save her! Tempting God? Yes! Thankyou. ObamaCare Trick or Treat?

What does the word Halloween mean? The word means a Holy person or Saint. It started as a Christian celebration of the departed Saints. It is followed up the next day called, “All Saints Day.” The problem is over time the event has moved from celebrating life to celebrating death! As Christians we celebrate life and not death! Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave for us! So we celebrate Jesus and not Satan who is the author of death. You have to keep the main thing the main thing! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. Great Distractions Of Worry! Matthew 6:25-28

Radical Jesus! Live out the beatitudes through counter-culture behavior! Jesus gave us a new way of being human! The Kingdom way of being human. Pray with listening ears, seeing eyes and hearts to receive the scriptures by impartation and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a servant. Are you? Distractions such as money, possessions, and inside out language will take your focus off God and make us dysfunctional for the Kingdom. What we focus on is what we worship. Worry cannot add a single hour to our life. Stress which comes from worry can shorten our life. Jesus warned us not to worry about our clothes. Pagan’s run after these things. Jesus must have had the inside track on women’s dress habits. Ladies really dress to impress other ladies. Men do not have a clue about this? Worry distracts us, divides us, wastes time and keeps us from witnessing to others. Seek first the Kingdom and He will add what is needed for you. God can do the math! Luke 10- Martha and Mary. Martha worried about many things? She did not have CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox and other media to help her find worries. She did it all by herself! Mary chose what was better with no distractions. Look at the birds of the air! Be a bird watcher. Doves mate forever. No divorce here. I watched two silver doves that were in my driveway yesterday. So contented! A bird brain may be a good deal? Are they too stupid to worry? No, God has programed them to understand He will take care of their every need. They do not worry about global warming. They rest in the cool of the day. Take a deep breath and relax. The Theology of Heaven is God always has enough! Have God’s world view. People stress out and die trying to get more. Humans are limited but God is unlimited! Father knows your needs. Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness. Definition of God’s Kingdom; God’s Kingdom is Jesus Christ ruling over His people. Ruling ever part of our life. Is Jesus Lord of All? V.34- Each day has enough trouble of it’s own. Worry about yesterday today and tomarrow? Regret Saturday and dread Monday? If so you cannot enjoy Sunday! To worry about yesterday and tomarrow is to worry twice! Worry about nothing? Trust God today and no regrets tomarrow. Cares of today are sufficient. Concern verses worry; Concern is to take issues to prayer and let the peace of God under the Lordship of Christ establish you. Worry comes when Jesus is not the Lord of your life. Worry and fear is not the fruit of the spirit. Love and fear are opposite each other. They come from two different sources. The Lord of Fear is leaving God out of your life and trying to run things on your own. The name Israel means ; “To Rule as God.” Can you do better than to rule as God? Tempted Or Tested? Genesis 22:1, Matthew 6:13, James 1:13

These are two different words in the Hebrew and Greek. God will test us! Satan will tempt us! The sources are different and the outcome is different. Abraham was tested with his son Isaac. Judas was tempted. Jesus was tempted but resisted by quoting scripture to Satan. Jesus was tested by His Father on the Cross. God giving you a test will lead to righteousness. New Life Church Sermon Notes. June 23, 2013

Scripture; Matthew 5; 33-35 1. Mean what you say and say what you mean – Honesty, Integrity. 2. Low Trust = Many Laws. We hear out of Washington everyday the following; “We will write another law so this never happens again!” 3. High Trust = Few Laws. 4. Build trust in our families. 5. Lack of trust causes us to withdraw from relationships. In Jesus day no one could trust the Roman government. They deceived the people with unjust taxes, excess spending, bribes, deception, ect. The religious leaders in Jesus day also wrote more laws as trust declined. 6. Jesus gave us a new way of being human. 7. God is an oath maker and a promise keeper – No double talk. 8. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Five common lies or exaggerations told by Christians; 1. I will pray for you. 2. It is great to see you. 3. I am doing great. 4. I have read all the above and agree with the terms. 5. I love you brother. Three questions arise when we hear one or more of the five statements. 1. Is he or she hyping something? 2. Is he springing something? 3. Is he trying to sell me something? People try to exaggerate and manipulate people. Insecurity causes exaggeration. Would you love me if you saw the real me? Adam and Eve hid from God. Our vulnerabilities project a lifestyle. To manipulate is selfish. Words are used in a deceptive way to try to get a desired outcome. The Bible calls it witchcraft. The witch uses shame, guilt, fear and twists words to get people to believe something that is not true. This is demonic. Powerful but demonic. God is truth and love and not shame. Talk openly to your children about the beauty of God’s creation including sex and the purpose of it. Adolescence who are shamed about sex will have a great difficulty entering into a healthy sexual relationship when they are married. Please see Ephesians 4:14-15. Speak the truth in love. How do we speak the truth in love? Answer the following questions. 1. Have you prayed for them? 2. Do I see good and potential in them? 3. Will I be helpful to them? 4. Am I rested? God made an oath and promises to us. They are as follows; 1. I will be with you always. 2. Nothing can take you from my Father’s hand. 3. I will not leave you as orphans. 4. You Shall Be As Gods! Genesis 3:5

A very fascinating offer! Adam and Eve certainly knew there was only one God. This statement by Satan should have raised a red flag? Satan is suggesting to them there is more than one God and they are missing out on something? To know good and evil is something to be attained! How does one who is not God come to the knowledge of good and evil? Yes, by doing evil. Your good deeds do not offset your evil deeds. Our evil comes from disobeying God which is simply sin. Good is never enough when done out of your own works. Satan and one third of the angels rebelled against God and got a head start on Adam and Eve. Satan, his angels and Adam and Eve got an eviction notice. This whole family made gods unto themselves and opposite in character to God! Satan’s bait here was promotion. Hell is not a promotion. Satan and all humans are created beings. Rebellion against God is to deny the God who created you and set yourself up as God! The Tree of Life was the only remedy but God could not let them partake until His Christ would be manifested in the earth in flesh. Then the curse over man would be broken! Today we have a way God has provided for us through His Son Jesus Christ who paid the penalty(death) for our sin. Any way such as Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddism, ect, is all about making gods unto yourself and then worship yourself is a rejection of the Living God! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse.
