“Delivery thee from the people (Jews), and from the Gentiles, unto whom I send thee.” Commentary: Again the love of God displayed here! Forgive them! First God delivers us from our enemies then he prepares us to go back to our enemies delivering them through redemption through Christ! Jesus said love your enemies! What kind of a world would we have if everyone did that? Heaven on earth! Our human ability is not able to do this but the love of God dwelling in us makes this possible! The same thing happened to Joseph! God delivered him from his brothers who wanted to kill him and sold him into slavery to Egypt! He became Prime Minister of Egypt a Jew and then delivered his brothers and his whole family from the famine and they found safety and food for them in Egypt for 430 years! God delivered baby Moses from Egypt to be raised in the King’s Palace! Later delivered from the Pharoah for 40 years then returned and delivered the Jews out of Egypt! My wife 55 years ago was a captive as a young widow in India with no hope! Then God delivered her to America and then with me went back to India to promote the Gospel to the people in bondage to Hinduism and Islam! The only truth Satan will try to hide from you is that God loves you! Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved! He is no respecter of people! Religion Hates Jesus! Matthew 21:15
“And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that Jesus did, and the children crying in the Temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were sore displeased.” Commentary: So what does the Greek word say for “they were sore displeased”? The word Strong’s #23 means they were greatly afflicted! Why? Their religion was just a side show with no power! No miracles! No power over Satan! So instead of commending Jesus for the wonderful miracles he was doing they began to plot his death! Religion really hates God! Even in churches sometimes religion will raise its ugly head! Spiritual growth will always involve politics and religion! After being a Christian over past 48 years I have accumulated some interesting stories! Some of my best but not all is while we were serving in India as missionaries from 1983-1987. In our second year in India we moved to a village on a mountain named Yercaud in South India. There was a strong presence of Catholics there because of their schools! Our little daughters attended Sacred Heart secondary school while we were living there! Good schools! While doing ministry there and the surrounding villages catholics including nuns and priests would come to us late at night for prayer! I asked them why do you come to us late at night like Nicodemus did? They told us that if the organizational leaders find out they will severly punish us! They will evict us from our houses on Catholic lands and deny us burial in a Catholic owned burial grounds! Organized religion is sometimes ugly! Yet it is necessary to the purposes of God even sometimes when it opposes God! I never viewed them as enemies but as friends in ministry even though they were trusting organization more than God! Housing was difficult to find in Yercaud so the Catholics had a parsonage come available. Most housing there was full of rats, snakes and scorpions! So ten priests interviewed me for the vacancy. Their last question was are you a member of the 10th Order of the Jesuits? I said no! Sorry we cannot help you! In the American church we have had troubles when a Pastor is trying to get along with popular culture such as homosexualism and we confront him with scriptures on the subject! We end up on the bad boy list and political isolation begins! Truth will always divide and separates from lies and deceptions! When you do what Jesus did you will find opposition from within and from without! It comes along with the mission! We try to get along but sometimes separation will come! The last example is a young Catholic priest came to us by night and expressed a need to separate from the Catholic church! He asked for prayer and we advised him to not do this unless God confirms to you to do this! Sometimes we told him we must risk all to follow Jesus! A month later he left the Catholic church and years later became a great evangelist across the State of Tamil Nadu! Jesus on Divorce! Matthew 19:9
“And I say unto you, whosoever shall put away or divorce his wife except it be for fornication (adultery): and shall marry another, commits adultery and whosoever marries her commits adultery.” Commentary: Jesus responded to the question the Pharisees or religious rulers used to try to trick Jesus into some doctrinal error! They asked Jesus is it lawful to divorce a wife for any reason? Jesus replied lawful for only one reason! Adultery which is the 7th Commandment! Marriage is sacred to God! It is the foundation for civilization! Jesus goes on to remind us that God created male and female! Not male and male or female and female but male and female! The gender war is a war on God! Then the two male and female are joined together in marriage and let no man separate! Then they become one producing children to carry on the next generation! Then Jesus called the little children forward to pray for them! The disciples rebuked him but Jesus said such are they represented the Kingdom of God! There is a war on children today and it is called abortion! There is a war on marriage through divorce, homosexuality, lesbianism, transgenderism all opposing God’s creation and the organized system of the Kingdom of God to prosper his people! There is a war on the church! The church is called the bride of Christ where the two become one! The worst divorce is being divorced from God and his Christ! Jesus forgave the woman caught in the act of adultery! He has forgiven you also! To reject his forgiveness is the only sin that will send you to hell! He took your judgment for sin on the Cross! To reject Christ will not make him your savior but your judge! Anyone who falls into the unpardonable sin makes that decision in rebellion against the God who is creator of heaven and earth! Creator of you! Jesus said pure religion is to take care of the widows and orphans! You may consider adopting some children from Ukraine or marrying a widow from Ukraine! What Did Jesus Mean Here? Revelation 1:8
“I am [Alpha] and [Omega], the [beginning] and the [ending], saith the Lord, which is, and was, and is to come, the [Almighty].” Commentary: Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet. However not like our English word “A”, it means something all by itself! That is it can stand alone! Alpha means a private relationship with a sense of union! That is Jesus relationship to his Father and his union with the Trinity! Omega is the last letter in the Greek Alphabet! Like our English letter “Z”. Omega carries the connotation of a finality! What did Jesus mean by saying he is the “Beginning”? This word means the first to rule! He is the outer most point of the beginning! Jesus is the cause of creation! He is before all things and all things were created by him! Just a side note what was the ideology of the 19th Century that opposes Christ and his creation? The Charles Darwin Theory of Evolution which is alive and well in American education today! Doctrines of Devils! Jesus rules with power and authority! All earthly powers will ultimately fail! Jesus is the first to rule by the authority and creative powers of God himself! Jesus was crucified because he claimed to be God! Now let us look at the word “Ending”. This word does not mean the termination of time. Time is used and established by God to achieve his purpose and goals! It is the consummation of the war between good and evil with victory over death, hell and the grave through his Son Jesus Christ! So the ending is for the purposes of time not the termination of time! Our true purpose is only found in Christ! As our relationship to Christ as Jesus relationship to his Father! To the Trinity! Our human ending is consumed at death! Jesus will raise all from the dead! If our purpose while living is found in him then that relationship continues on after death forever! Jesus enemies though they could end his life at his death on the Cross! Not so! They learned he was more than human he was God! Time will confirm whether we are in Christ or not! “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Commentary: Jesus said that these signs precede his second coming along with many other signs! The word pestilence is a plague killing many by disease! Our longest lasting plague was the Black Death plague which lasted 300 years from 1347-1665 coming back every ten years! We have so many plagues listed in our Bible from the Old to New Testament but why are the pulpits silent on this important subject! We cannot pretend they do not exist or have never happened? They are a lesson for us to learn of the frailty of man and the importance of receiving Christ as Savior! Yet so silent on so many scriptures warning us to help prepare us for Christ’s second coming! Remember Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood! She had the plague! Do what you can to be responsible during this pandemic! Isolate yourself as best you can! Trust Jesus for only he holds your eternity! This life is very short if you have not figured that out! Eternity is forever! Do not trust political science! Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man; but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Commentary: So who is the new Jesus on the political left? The new Jesus today started with Charles Darwin! Darwinism, atheism and Marxism are the Trinity of the Anti-Christ! The new Jesus is the ideology of those who do not believe in God! Public education controlled by the Democrats has taught our children for decades about the new Jesus! Now the ideology of death is acted out everyday in the streets and borders across America!
