Retirement 26 Years!
On my birthday this month of April we have completed 26 years of retirement! So how did I do it? I did not do it! God did it for me! When I came to Christ 47 years ago he sent me on a trajectory never achievable on my own! He supplied all my needs according to his riches in glory! He commissioned me into his ministry ever since I received Christ into my life! He sent the right people into my life beginning with my precious wife Hamsa! Together we serve him! During this pandemic God has reminded me of our blessings! To live is Christ and to die is gain! That verse is in your Bible! Read it and believe it! Whether I live or die I gain! In the world system it is always on you to gain! To trust Christ is freedom! Freedom from the slavery of sin! Because of Christ Martin Luther King Jr. could say, “Free at last.” The freedom in Christ lasts forever! Start your eternity with him on earth here today! General Washington Minuteman Rodney Dangerfield reporting to duty! If you are a minuteman why did it take you a week to get here? Sir, had the Washington Bridge been built I would have been here yesterday! Excuses! Excuses! That is all I hear around here! Did you see any lights in the church tower? Sir, really difficult to tell? First we saw one light then two lights? When we got close to the church tower the church elder in the tower was smoking a cigar! Every time he would drag on the cigar we would see a light! Sometimes one and sometimes two? No discipline in this army! How can we win this war with so many losers? Anyway get your men ready we are going to cross the Delaware tonight! Sir, with all due respect there are rumors among the troops that the reason you want to cross the Delaware is because you want to see Sally over in Jersey! Corona & Crowns!
The word corona is a Spanish word that means crown! The CDC named this virus because it’s covered with crown like spikes. Let us look at our scripture today: Revelation 19:12 “His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns, and he had a name written that no man knew, but he himself.” Comment: Mortal men who succumbed to disease and death nailed Jesus to a Cross with spikes! They put a crown of thorns on his head! So even this coronavirus is a picture that points to the need of a Savior! Science itself reveals the truth of a people who without him evolve into death! Jesus wears a Victor’s Crown! Victory over death, hell and the grave! He rose from the dead and will raise you from the dead! Some into everlasting life and some into everlasting judgment! Creation itself even in it’s death points to life! Points to the remedy for sin! Remember that old hymn? Crown Him With Many Crowns! The Lamb Upon The Thrown! Some things never change! Evolution will never change God! It will never change death! It will only confirm it! The same yesterday, today and forever! Life, death and Redemption is a constant! If on this earth your cannot see the Savior while living you will see him after your death! At the judgment seat of Christ! Either your life here on earth or your life after death will point you to the Savior! Live for him today with joy, peace, and praise for him! Some here on earth praise him and some curse him! What will you do with the breath he has given you? God conquered hate with love! He conquered death with the resurrection from death! By his stripes we are healed! His blood as a sacrifice for our blood! Only he deserves to wear a Crown! The twenty four elders around the throne in Heaven cast their crowns down before him! Only he is worthy! He won a victory for you! The question is will your receive this victory for your life? The crown of the Coronavirus with it’s crowns and spikes reminds us that there is only one crown that will defeat it! Defeat death with life! The Christ that wears the Crown for you in Heaven soon to return to earth! A true picture of the Cross is a Crown of Victory over death demonstrated by a God that loves you so much that he gave himself for you the only sacrifice for sin that is acceptable to him! Creepy Joe mates faster than a Kansas prairie chicken! Between episodes of dementia sleepy Joe has sexual aberrations! However he is the perfect Democrat! If elected President will he pick up where Bill left off? Could you imagine sending your daughter to the White House as an intern? Your grand daughter? Joe wants a woman running mate! How would that work? Could she run faster than Joe? It all depends! Kamala Harris slept with the Mayor of San Francisco for ten years to get her political appointments! Zealous for God?
Numbers 25:9-11 “And those that died in the plague were twenty four thousand. And the Lord spake unto Moses saying, Phinehas, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among these, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.” Comment: So what did the priest do to stay the plague? If you read the whole chapter you will find he made an atonement for their sin! Has the 21st Century church been brain washed into believing sin is no big deal? For those that are zealous for God it is a big deal because what matters to God must matter to us! God hates sin! He hated it so much he died for you on a Cross! The most affected States in America by this plague Coronavirus are Blue States! Why? They have rejected Christ and his atonement for them! They have mocked God! They are atheists and their idol is evolution! Evolution a lie masked as science! I see Pastors on TBN where they quote the last part of Deuteronomy for God to heal our land yet leave out the first part that says to repent of our sin? Do we believe what we preach? As long as we remain popular? If I can make you feel good about yourself you will keep sending the money in! The call for repentance nationally is non existent? Where is the church? The States that are supporting abortion, gay marriage, homosexuality, lesbianism, transgenderism are the States suffering the worst from this pandemic! America needs the return of the fire and brimstone preachers of the past! For America to be great again we have to return to the spiritual foundation that has made us great! The worship of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ our High Priest makes the people great free from the guilt and shame of sin! Real freedom is Salvation from the judgments of God on our land! Plague & Cure!
Numbers 16:46 “And Moses said unto Aaron, take a censer and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense and go quickly unto the congregation and make an atonement for them, for there is wrath gone out from the Lord, the plague is begun.” Comment: Let us look at the phrase, “Make an Atonement.” This phrase is one word in the Hebrew. Here is an easy way to remember the word atonement! AT-ONE-MENT. At one moment! The word means to cover, reconcile, forgive, cleanse or cancel. Cancel what? The plague of death for the penalty of sin! Atonement is always connected with the blood of the sacrifice for sin! Aaron took some fire off the altar! Why is this significant? Because the fire was the instrument to consume the sacrifice! The fire produced the heat to burn the sacrifice that the ascending smoke pleased God! Remember Isaiah was given a hot coal off the alter and touched his mouth! He said I am a man of unclean lips! The word atonement also has another Hebrew root word used in Genesis Chapter six where Noah placed pitch on the inside and outside of the ark. The judgment or flood of water could not come into the ark! It protected them from judgment! Are you sealed in the Blood of the Lamb? Sealed from judgment? Remember in Book of Revelation the seals were broken that released the plagues upon the earth! The rejection of Christ by the world broke the seals and released the judgments! By the time Aaron made it to the congregation or church thousands had died! How many Americans have to die before we do repentance as a nation? No call from the churches across America? How stubborn are we? Things will never be as they were before? Our national sins are abortion, gay marriage, lesbianism, homosexuality, transgenderism and these are a result of rejecting the atonement for their sins! The church in America has also been a partner in this by its muted voice on sin! Some States are saying with death all around them that we need more money for more abortion? So how does God take away abortion from our land! Take away our money! Financial collapse! Plagues and famines! No one has ever fought God and won! Rather than accepting the sacrifice for our sin we then become the sacrifice! Our covering is the blood of Christ! The only sacrifice that will please is the one where God became the sacrifice! The strange fire of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism and all man made religions are sacrifices unacceptable to God! They are human sacrifices! Sin being sacrificed for sin will never work! America is stubborn in their pride but God knows how to turn up the heat! They will eventually get it! Either in repentance or judgment!Too late for some but remember God saved Noah and his family and the rest of the world perished! God is cleaning his House! His church! He is cleaning it politically, financially and spiritually! At one moment at the Cross the plague is stayed! At one moment a nation must change! In one moment the sinner is redeemed! This is our moment as the Church! Will we speak up and call for a National repentance? Creation! Evolution! Plagues!
Leviticus 26:25 “And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant; and when you are gathered together within my cities, I will send the pestilence among you: and you shall be delivered into the hand of your enemy.” Comment: The world has a quarrel with God’s Covenant! The word “quarrel” in the Hebrew means a vengeance or punishment from God! My Bible tells me that God says vengeance is mine! God is love and he also takes vengeance against the Covenant breakers! How do we know this! He has a special place for them called “Hell.” You say well I thought God had mercy? He did for you on the Cross! Reject the Cross and break the Covenant! There is a world wide purge going on right now! What will it take for people to turn to God? Except for one family Noah the world rejected God! Except one family the homosexuals of Sodom and Gomorrah rejected God! We cannot be in love with this world for it will perish! Now is the time to fall in love with God! If this Corona virus mutates and comes back it will be much more deadly than it is now! If it mutates into many strains then a vaccine will be very difficult to produce! If this epidemic comes back no government on earth has the resources to outlast it! No economic system will last! It will all collapse! Who do you trust right now? Your government? Your money? Do you have a quarrel with God’s Covenant? Jesus said there will come a day when a man will have to work a whole day’s wage to buy a loaf of bread! Famine follows plagues! Do you reject Christ? Jesus said if you are lukewarm I will spew you out of my mouth! Now is the time to be boiling hot for God! Yet I see no National call to repentance from his Church in America? Strange as fiction! Let go of the things that will perish! Let go of self and embrace the Savior! God is cleansing his House! We have ignored God as a nation for too long! The wages of sin is death! As for me and my House we will serve the Lord! Cover yourself and your family in the Blood of Christ! Like in Egypt when the waves of plagues come one after another your judgment will be passed over! Obedience or Plagues?
Leviticus 26:21 “And if you walk contrary to me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.” Comment: What God is telling us in this chapter that we need to keep his Commandments and Statutes! Make no idols! Keep the Sabbath! Revere my Sanctuary! Do not break my Covenant! If you do these things then I will dwell among my people! Blessings will come! Your enemies will not defeat you! One of the plagues listed in this chapter is a burning fever! God will always judge sin! He is righteous and Holy in him there is no sin! He will always punish sin! This is why he took his only begotten Son and put him on a Cross! He took our plagues upon himself! He became our judgment for us! This is the love of God! However if we reject the blood covenant sacrificial work of Christ then judgment is not stayed but loosed on us as a people and a nation! If no sacrifice for your sin then judgment will follow you! Judgment is like a blood hound following your scent of sin! We have no power within ourselves to defeat it! It will defeat us! Sin will consume you! God consumed your sin on a Cross for you! He took your plagues upon himself! If you reject this only sacrifice for your sin then the plagues are not stayed but released on us! No one by themselves has ever beat sin! Sin and death was defeated by God for you! However to reject Christ is to remove his protection over you! To void your eternity in heaven with him! It still gets down to a choice! God chose our sin and death to deliver us from it on the Cross! For you not to choose him is to crucify him again! Then there is no provision for sin and judgment follows you forever! Life is short but eternity is forever! Choose Christ and live! Jesus was obedient even to death on a Cross! It is not our obedience that saves us it is his obedience! James and Hamsa Sasse. Suffering! Luke 24:25-26
“Then Jesus said to his disciples. O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and enter into his glory?” Comment: Sometimes we as believers in Christ will play the fool and listen to the lies of the world too much! Where are the prosperity preachers now here in America? Have they not gone into hiding with the rest of us? The gift of life here on earth is a very short time granted to us by God to prepare us for Heaven! Some will go unprepared! The main event of your life will be after death when we stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ! What will be your defense for rejecting him? Did you play the fool and mock Christ while here on earth? Who really holds your future? Christ does! He judges the living and the dead! So why do you trust your mortality? Why trust in the arm of flesh that will perish? Jesus did not trust his flesh! He was God and man! His divinity raised him from the dead and so will he do with you! If this Coronavirus causes you to trust in Christ this will be the greatest thing that will ever happen to you! My death bed experience was the best thing that ever happened to me! I found the light at the end of the tunnel and it was not a train it was Christ! He was waiting for me! We in Christ do not want to be the slow to believe people! After Jesus was raised from the dead his disciples had a hard time believing the facts? Do you believe the facts of the Holy Scriptures? Do you believe God enough to read and study your Bible daily? Fake news will always oppose the Good News! Which voice will you follow? The truth or a lie? If you listen to the voice of God those mocking Christ today on earth and in Hell have no hold on your future! My future and your future has everything to do with Christ! No success in this world will defer you from the main event! Why? Time will run out! Get off your side show and follow Christ! Wise men still seek him! No mortal on earth can save another mortal! Christ is more than a man! He is God in the flesh! No one cheats death! Your undertaker will not be able to raise you from the dead! He will just lower you into the ground! Only Christ can raise you from the dead! He will raise everyone! Some to everlasting life and some to everlasting judgment! Do not ignore the main event!
