Revelation 4:1 “After this I looked, and behold, a door was opened up in heaven; and the first voice was like a trumpet talking with me, which said, come up hither; and I will show you things which must be hereafter.” Commentary” Revelation chapter four is not the only place heaven is described in your Bible but a beautiful show here! Verse one is an introduction! A trumpet is used to announce a King! It is also used to announce judgments as in the 7 plagues upon the earth found in this same Book of Revelation! John is invited to heaven! Some of his reward for suffering under Caesar! What is the hereafter? Heaven and also the end times signs! Remember the Feast of the Trumpet in the Old Testament? The end times will bring the end of human rule and the absolute rule of Christ on earth after his second coming! History has shown us the rule of men has not gone well! Plagues! Wars! Famines! Death! Destruction! Persecutions of God’s elect! We can either trust God or man! Man will betray you but not God! He is faithful to deliver you out of all your troubles! When we are wounded by the sin of men we better understand the wounds taken on by Christ at the Cross for our sin! He was wounded for our transgressions! When these wounds were given to Christ for us he can promote us into his Kingdom! Forgive and love your enemies! Wounds inflicted by ourselves and others humble us! The Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation while in prison! A prisoner on a remote Isle of Patmos working as a slave laborer in a stone quarry! He was placed on a rock pile! His night job was writing the Book of Revelation! John by vision was able to look into the future! We must do the same when the present days are so perplexing! God holds your future! Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you and I am coming again! There is a purpose in suffering! The Kingdom of God is a sacrificial system beginning with the suffering of God on a Cross for you! Either God or sin will control you! You can reject your sin and choose Christ or you can reject Christ and miss heaven defaulting to hell! It is up to you! Your future depends on one choice! Why a High Wall in Heaven? Revelation 21:12,14,17,18,19,27.
Commentary: There are 12 gates attached to the walls in the New Heaven and the New earth! Why? These are controlled entry points screening people for what? The Democrats say we do not need borders for our nation yet they themselves have high walls surrounding their million dollar mansions? They will just let illegals pour into your neighborhood with diseases, poverty and crime by the millions? A wall is good for them but not for you? Life must have boundaries! Sin is going past the boundaries God has established for our safety! Did you know our lips are boundaries in regards to what we say! Do you praise God with your lips? Verse 27 explains the reason for the walls and the gates! “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie, but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” You can only get into heaven the legal way! No illegal immigrants in heaven! You must come by the blood of the Lamb! Jesus fulfills the law by taking your penalty of death upon himself at the Cross! You are pardoned and a legal citizen of heaven! A gate on a wall is a controlled entry point! Twelve gates on the walls of the new heaven and the new earth! They become one as intended in the Garden of Eden! When I get to heaven will I have it made? You can rebel against God in heaven just like Lucifer did! We like the angels are created beings with a free will and choices! How do you get your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life! Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior! How do you get your name blotted out of the Lamb’s Book of Life! Reject Jesus whether on earth or in heaven! These gates are check points where your name is reviewed in the Book of Life to be sure your entry is authorized as a worshiper of Christ and no rebellion has entered into your life against Christ! I wish once saved always saved were true theology but you look at the whole Bible we are saved by grace yet we can reject his grace yet the Holy Spirit keeps us safe from the same mistake Lucifer made! Trinity in Heaven & on Earth!
I John 5:8 “And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water and the blood: and these three agree in one.” Commentary: What scripture in the Old Testament comes to your mind that compliments this scripture in the New Testament? Genesis 1:2 “And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep( water). And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Commentary Continued: So at creation the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters! Then God gave us light and created man! Blood! When Jesus was water baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist the Holy Spirit descended on him! The Father saying this is my beloved Son! At Jesus ascension back to heaven he promised his disciples to send the Holy Spirit! The blood of Jesus witnessed against the blood of men and their sin! No man can comes to the Father but through the blood atonement of his Son! The spirit, blood and the water must be a witness within you and unto the world as a testimony of his truth and faithfulness! The church ordinances of baptism and communion are vehicles for you to be a witness on earth while you are still here! Majority in Heaven?
Matthew 7: 13-14 Commentary: Jesus made it clear that a majority will not make it to heaven! Jesus said stait is the gate that leads to eternal life and that few will find it! Let us examine the word “stait” in the Greek! We get our word stenographer from this Greek word! When the trial is going on the stenographer listens to every word that is spoken and records every word! Do you listen to every word God has spoken in your Bible? Do you know every word? The word stenos in the Greek means to abide and continue to be established in his word! This word is closely linked to the word covenant! Do you listen and obey his word or do you like some cherry pick the scriptures to be popular with the majority? Are you going to follow the majority to hell or be one of the few in heaven? The choice today you have already made! Like the thief on the Cross you can repent and change! Today by numbers the earth is one third Christian. This is not a majority! After the rapture of the church to heaven the majority will follow the Anti-Christ during the seven year tribulation period! When i was a teenager about 60 years ago my grandfather spoke some wisdom into me! He said, “Jimmy never follow the crowd! They crucified our Lord!” I have a funny quote made by a famous writer and statesman who lived over 200 years ago! His name is Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe. Quote: “Nothing is more disgusting than the majority; because it consists of a few powerful predecessors, of rogues who adapt themselves, of weak who assimilate themselves, and the masses who imitate them without knowing at all what they want.” When Israel did not have a King they all did what was right in their own eyes! Politics in Heaven! Revelation 12:7
“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels.” Comment: Fallen angels! If we look at the word “War” in the Book of Revelation we find something very interesting in the translation from the Greek to the English! Two of the Greek root words Strong’s #4170 and Strong’s #4171 mean a battle or a war. However both of these words are related to another Greek word Strong’s #4174. The Greek word is “Politeia.” This word means a town, community or citizenship. Do you see our English word politics in this word? So like every war whether in heaven or earth starts as a political war! Lucifer had to use words to get disciples to rebel against God! In fact one third of the angels followed Lucifer! The political war is a war of words! God created the universe with words so Satan opposes God with words! What did he tell Eve using words? Surely God has not said you will surely die if you eat of this tree? Eve God is a liar! He is holding good things back from you! He is selfish! I will give you more than God can! Jesus turn these stones into bread! I will give you all the kingdoms of this world if you will bow down and worship me! Jesus defeated Satan with the Word of God! The ideologies today on planet earth that oppose God are in a political format! Words that slander God and his people! Happy Holidays! Sorry mam but this is Thanksgiving! No this is Christmas! Can you not say Christ? Political correctness is a war on truth using or rather denying the use of words to try to defeat truth! Then eventually the words break out into armed conflict whether World Wars or our own Civil War where blood is shed for truth! Jesus had to shed his blood for truth! Now some in the church say politics does not matter? We have our 501c tax exemption so we cannot say anything! Remember in an earlier post Psalm 11:3 was covered taking the word “Foundation” and looking at the Hebrew word which means a moral and political foundation? If the foundations are broken down what can the righteous do? The battle today in America is a political war between the Democrat and Republican Party! It is a war using words! This war was started in Heaven and continues into the earth! Words to slander the righteous and mock our Christ! To use the same lies to oppose God! To promote abortion! Evil! Murder! To promote sexual perversion in promoting homosexuality! Lesbianism! Transgenderism! To expose our children to gender reversal! To mock creation with evolution! To mock marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman! Jesus used the Word of God to get victory over Satan and we must do the same! Regardless of what the popular culture says I will stay with my Bible the Word of God! God warned us about destruction of drug use! Marking our bodies with ink which poisons our body with chemicals! Not to eat pork which blocks and restricts our blood flow! The list goes on! I bank my eternity on the Word of God! This life is short but eternity is forever! I will not risk my eternity in believing the lies of Satan! I will not join Satan in Hell but separate myself from him with Christ in Heaven! New Heaven! New Earth!
Revelation 21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: and a new earth and the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” Comment: So why a new heaven and a new earth? What was wrong with the old heaven and the old earth? Sin! War started in heaven! Then it was cast down to the earth! Lucifer rebelled against God in heaven and one third of the angels joined him in this betrayal! Did you ever ask God questions? It does not mean a lack of faith but to qualify our faith! Ask and you shall receive! Lord did you create earth as a place or prison where Satan could dwell to get him out of your neighborhood? Did you put Satan on probation hoping he will change? All your questions you will ever have about God are in your Bible! I have searched and studied the scriptures for 45 years yet everyday I find a new answer to an old question! During the millennium rule of Christ here on earth there will be perfect peace because Satan is bound for a thousand years! He can no longer influence men and women to do evil. Jesus defeated Satan on the Cross! If you call out on the name of Jesus Satan will have to flee! After the 1000 year reign of Christ Satan is loosed for a season! Why? For his final judgment into the Lake of Fire! Remember reading in Second Peter the earth will also be destroyed by fire! Things are heating up like global warming! Did you notice the sea will also be dried up! Extreme heat! The sea separates people! What about the New Jerusalem? The old Jerusalem has a history of war just like the old earth! Right now rockets are flying into Israel! Armies wait at her borders to attack her! When heaven and earth become one all things will be new! Jesus prayer was on earth as it is in heaven! We will all have the same address! Jesus said we must be born again! New! The old passed away! Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to re-new your life! To quicken your mortal body while here on earth! After Jesus sent his comforter to me I have peace in the midst of the storm! You cannot find peace in drugs, money, sex or any other earthly pleasure! Jesus dwells in those that call on his name! Once you experience his love and power you cannot be silent! We want the same benefits for others that Christ has given to me! God created the old heaven and earth and he is willing and able to create them both new for you! Are you born again with the new birth? What Way? Mark 1:2
Is there more than one way to skin a cat? Is there more than one way to get to Heaven? Jesus made it clear there is only one way! The word “way” in the Greek means to travel in a manner of life or a method to live by to the revealed will of God for your life! It is the only road leading to Salvation! It is the only road leading to eternal life with God not separated from him! It is an action that keeps you on this road in the direction of his providence trusting him to remove the obstacles in the road that would block your Blessings and Redemption! It is a matter of trust in him to stay on this road! It is a way to detour around death and stay on the road of life! Only those that stay on this highway can stay on this road with a lot of the traffic taking another route to hell! Those that stay on the road to Salvation also proclaim this way to eternal life to others sharing the good news Christ has revealed to us through His Word! Jesus has prepared the way for you going to the Cross for you! By being raised from the dead for you! By preparing a place in Heaven for you! Post Marked for Heaven?
Revelation 7:3 Commentary; Again a true servant is consumed with the will of another! He does not have his own will! Not my will but thy will be done! The word sealed in the Greek means to stamp with a private mark to seal for security and preservation! To keep secret until the right time! Your letter will not make it to heaven unless it has the right stamp! After the Saints are sealed in their foreheads which I believe is the mind of Christ Satan is cut loose in Revelation 9:4 to consume his own! In rebellion against God Satan has always longed to destroy the inhabitants of the earth and has done a pretty good job but now he gets his big chance! To slay 1/3 of men on the earth is a good start! However he recognizes the Saints and to his dismay cannot touch them! Demons have great spiritual awareness! Remember during Jesus ministry they recognized Jesus as the Son of God! Jesus cast out Demons on a regular basis! Satan today knows who you belong to! Satan eats his own kind! He consumes them in sin! Sin is the cancer of the soul! If you are sealed and post-marked for heaven then he cannot touch you! As Easter approaches we have to ask ourselves are we sealed for redemption or judgment? God knows and Satan knows but do you know? Satan’s deception is to get you to believe the lie that it does not matter! The lie there is no heaven and no hell! There is no God! If you find out the truth after death it will be too late! The Romans sealed Jesus tomb but on the third day the stone was rolled away and God conquered death and the sin of humanity that caused it! Satan was defeated and the fear of death that consumes men! He is risen! Are you? Seal your mind with the blood of the Lamb and put on the mind of Christ! Then Satan will know who you belong to and most important you will know you belong to Christ! New House! New Home!
2 Corinthians 5:1 “For we know that, if our earthly house made of dust and dwelling place of our deceased possessions of this temporary dwelling place of our Spirit were dissolved, we have a dwelling place in God’s family, a house not made with hands, eternal with a return of benefits received in God’s resting place.” Comment: At death we all reach the same age as dust! This could be the socialist dream of equal outcome for everyone! Except they will rush this outcome with poverty and misery! A government appointed physician? How long will we last? The same failing public schools! If they are for equal outcome why then kill millions of babies in the womb and prevent the opportunity of life? What about the offspring of those millions of babies also prevented from life? We have a missing generation of our population! God has a better plan! To have a full productive life here on earth and in heaven! A life lived for him! For others! To continue with him in heaven a dwelling place prepared for us there! So what will we look like in heaven? Hopefully better than we look down here! We all start at the same age down here on earth! At birth except for the aborted! We all end up at the same age dust! So what kind of new body will we get in heaven? We have a few clues from our Bible! Jesus was resurrected from the dead at age 33. His material body looked the same even with the scars from the crucifixion! At the transfiguration the disciples recognized Jesus, Moses and Elijah! Enoch and Elijah were translated directly to Heaven! God will give us a new body yet recognizable in Heaven! However this new body will never get sick or die! Those in hell will also be recognizable! Remember the rich man and Lazarus? We are fearfully and wonderfully made! In the image of God! The world will get worse but God has a plan to redeem you from the darkness of this world! Hell is occupied with a belief system of no God and no redemption! By rejecting God they created their own dwelling place called hell! It is a rejection of God! God’s plan is for us to reach our full capacity as he has designed us! To be like God! Created in his image! God did not evolve! Hell evolved from man’s rejection of God their creator and savior! Never sacrifice tomorrow for today! God sacrificed himself today for your future! But you have to seize eternity today in Christ! My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness! Vision of Heaven! Revelation 4
We all need to look forward and not back! Jesus has prepared a mansion for us there! I find the more heavenly minded I am the more earthly good I become! The more we think about heaven and replace thoughts about the cares of this life the more peace we have! When we understand what God has prepared for us his peace will enter us here on earth! Flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of God! We cannot inherit heaven in this corrupted body of sin! We have to leave it in the grave! In fact Jesus will resurrect my body after I leave it in the grave! That is what he did for Lazarus! He will do it for you! Think about our new body in heaven? Never get sick or never get old! No sin in it’s members! The Trinity of my mind, soul and body for the first time is in agreement with each other in redemption, purity and Glory! Time will no longer be my enemy but my friend! The God standard is the gold standard! The streets are paved with the stuff! There is a rainbow in heaven! It surrounds the Throne! To remind us of his covenant with man! Only in heaven will your post it note be a rainbow! A trumpet is blowing in heaven! The sound of music! Announcing the King is here! The reality of heaven does not need a Bud lite to drown out reality! Your high continues in heaven forever! No more war and no more conflict! Swords are turned into plow shares! Not a party to celebrate the last victory but to celebrate that future victories are already won! Victory over death, hell and the grave for all that call on his name! Death was resurrected at Calvary into life forever! The light of Christ! No sun is needed in heaven! The God that created the sun burns brighter! His glory is reflected through the beautiful stones of jasper, sardis and the emerald! The rainbow takes the white light of Christ and through the midst of water from the Thrown gives us a colored light show beyond description! The same midst that watered the earth before rain came to the earth! The twenty four elders have a front row seat in heaven! The twelve disciples of Jesus and the twelve patriarchs of the Old Testament! Those that paid with their lives to promote heaven on earth! They wore golden crowns! They cast them down at the feet of Jesus! The crowns were gifts to them from God! They belong to him! They cried out, “Only you are worthy my Lord and my God!” As we look forward it gets better! Out of his throne comes lightnings, thunder and voices! His power is displayed! No one can stand before him! Every knee shall bow! Every tongue confess! You are worthy to receive glory and honor! Only you have delivered me from my sin! No other name under heaven and earth can deliver me! Redeemed by the blood! Seven lamps of fire representing the seven Spirits of God! Seven means completion! His fire consumes and purifies his church! Can you imagine a sea of glass? Your street is crystal glass under your feet! Complete transparency! Nothing hidden there! No sin! No darkness! No rebellion against God! No war! The door of heaven is open to us! The four beasts of heaven are not caged animals! The lion lays down with the lamb! The white horse prepared for Jesus to ride back to earth leading the saints is saddled and ready! Death has no place in heaven! It was brought to earth by the fall of men into sin! Even the animals in heaven worship Christ! Everything except sin was first in heaven before it came to earth! The beasts sing, “Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty!
