Wisdom! Nehemiah 8:10

In this world sorrow comes to all and it often comes with bitter agony! Perfect relief is not possible except with time. You cannot now believe that you will ever feel better. But this is not true. You are sure to be happy again! Knowing this, truly believing it will make you less miserable now! I have had enough experience to make this statement. Abraham Lincoln Comment: Job is one of the best examples in our Bible where he was successful then lost everything including his family! He lost his health also! Then he had his miserable friends who condemned him for surely he must be evil and deserved this outcome! Yet Satan paraded in front of God mocking him and challenging God that if you take away all the blessings you have given him he will then curse you! What Satan could not touch was Job’s faith in God! God restored everything Job had lost and even doubled all he had lost before the calamities! Lincoln lost everything including his life for our nation! Yet he knew the God that raised him up would one day raise him up again! Think these thoughts when you notice whose picture is on the five dollar bill! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Anger & Character!

You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry! Abraham Lincoln   Comment: Lincoln was so angry at the sin of slavery that he did something about it! With the sacrifice of over six hundred thousand casualties and tens of thousands wounded through the civil war the end of slavery appeased Lincoln’s anger! However it was not enough! It required his own assassination and sacrifice to complete the campaign to end slavery! Martin Luther King Jr. gave his life as a sacrifice to battle racial discrimination! Whatever makes God angry should make us angry! In fact God was so angry at sin that he sacrificed his only Son on a Cross for our sin! Sin judged upon himself proves his love for us! He took our judgment of death upon himself! What really tops the list of God’s anger is the rejection of his love and the Savior! The rejection of your love is the hardest thing in the world to endure! That anger is expressed in the future in the Book of Revelation during the seven year tribulation period just before Christ’s second coming back to earth! The rapture of his church just before this event expresses his love! God hates the sin but loves the sinner! We have to be separated from our sin in order to make Heaven! Does abortion make you angry? Does drug trafficking killing tens of thousands of our youth every year make you angry? Do thousands of illegal immigrants killing American citizens make you angry? Did 9-11 make you angry? It made some Americans angry enough to join the military and give their lives and limbs in foreign lands to protect America! Or are you passive with no concern for our nation! I want to get all I can out of America but do not want to give anything to it? Are we complacent when we see evil? We are to love what God loves and hate what God hates! Abraham Lincoln made another famous quote! He said were it not for the Bible we would not know good from evil! Without knowing the difference our culture and nation is doomed for destruction! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
