Tempt the Lord? Old Testament!

Exodus 17:12 “Wherefore the people did chide or argue with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide with me? Wherefore do you [tempt] the Lord?” Commentary: The word “tempt” in the Hebrew means to test! Just like the Greek word for “tempt” the only thing that will tempt or test the Lord is our sin! Unbelief! Unconfessed sin! Unforgiven sin! Under these conditions we fall under judgment! Confess your sin to Christ and come under grace! Remember grace is God doing for you what you cannot do for yourself! There is a scripture that tells us that if we are in sin against God our prayers will not be answered! So even our
prayers can become sin if we have unconfessed sin to Christ! In both the Old and New Testaments the word “tempt” conform to the overall redemption plan of God! So Christ was prophesized in the Old Testament and came to earth in the New Testament as Savior of all men! So what happened to the Old Testament Saints when Christ had not come yet? Remember between the Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross and his Resurrection from the dead where was Jesus for those three days? The scriptures declare he went down to the heart of the earth and preached to the captives! So those Old Testament Saints that were looking for him with a redemptive attitude saw him and received him as Savior! Those that rejected him received his judgment! Are you looking for Jesus? Everyone will one day stand before him! Some to everlasting life and some to eternal judgment! The choice is yours to make! James & Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

First & Last! Isaiah 44:6

Hebrew Translation: “Thus says the King with Divine authority giving statutory laws to frame moral character. This is the King of Israel. I am the Redeemer a deliverer paying a ransom for your sin. I am the Lord of hosts directing my army of troops in Heaven who are in military service to me. I am first in place, time and rank. I am last concluding everything. Beside me there is no God.” Comment: Remember the words of Jesus in Revelation 22:13? I am the Alpha and the Omega! The first and the last! Why is he first? He is the cause of creation! Jesus was before all things! Very opposite to Darwin and evolution where he believed there was no God so with him everything began with man! When Jesus said he is the end it does not mean his extinction! Jesus meant his goal is reached redeeming men from death, Hell and the grave! Jesus is last for the conclusion of everything! He concludes with grace and judgment! You cannot have one without the other! You either let Jesus take your judgment on the Cross or you take your own judgment condemned to Hell.  Remember Matthew 20:16? Jesus said the last shall be first and the first shall be last! Lazarus the beggar was last in this world and the rich man was first! Then after the judgment Lazarus was first and the rich man was last! Jesus being first in time, order and rank will pass out rewards and punishments! If you have ever been in the military service you know the highest ranking military officer determines the rank of the rest of the unit! He will promote who he will. He will demote who he will. One day every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess Jesus Christ is Lord! You will do this from either Heaven or Hell. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Wait Upon The Lord….! Isaiah 40:31

This is a famous scripture that is often quoted! There are even songs written of this verse! So what does “Wait Upon” mean? In a generic sense we all know but if you go to the Hebrew root word you will find some amazing things! The Hebrew root word is “Qavah”, Strongs #6960. The word means to bind together by twisting! Just like a rope is made! A rope becomes strong by binding together small cords! A three strand cord is not easily broken! The Trinity would be a good example! Like the rope they are one but three separate individuals that are unbreakable formed together. They are one because there is no sin in them and they are in perfect agreement! The first symptom of sin is disagreement! Disagreement with the Word of God! Then with family and nation! Our Constitution established by our Founding Father’s three separate branches yet one government! Samson was twisted together with the strength of God! No rope could hold him! Until he was deceived by a woman who cut his hair and his spirit was unraveled from God! I am not blaming the woman here but he consented to her deceit and knew well what he was doing! Then his eyes were put out by the enemy. Sin will blind us to the truth! He repented and used his strength that God had restored to him to bring down the coliseum upon his enemies and himself! The reason we wait upon God is that we do not defeat the enemy Satan by ourselves but by who God is and our close wrapped relationship to him! Jesus could have easily broken the ropes that tied him to the whipping post and the Cross! However he was stranded together in the Trinity and knew his sacrifice was necessary to deliver all men from sin! Paul and Silas were tied together by ropes and chains in the prison! The ropes and chains of sin that put them there could not hold them! The hang man’s rope was broken as the punishment of death for sin was paid at Calvary! The word “Wait Upon” also means to be lifted up and exalted! To be offered up, carried up and elevated from one elevation to another! The Jewish Temple at Jerusalem was elevated up above the city! They call it the Temple Mount! Worshippers had to ascend up from the city to the Temple! Jesus was taken high up above the city at Mount Calvary! He was exalted there! Jesus ascended from Mount Olivet to Heaven! The Rapture of the Church will be an ascension from earth to Heaven! Holiness brings ascension while sin brings descension and death! This word also means to “offer Up.” Jesus was offered up as the only acceptable sacrifice for our sin! God offered up himself for our sin! We trust Christ because no one else or nothing else is trustworthy! We wait upon him in trust and confidence that he will accomplish the promises he has made to us! We offer up sacrifices for others because that is what God did for us! If you would have the patience to wait upon God great things will come to you! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Are You Acceptable? Isaiah 61:2

Hebrew Translation: “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. The year of delight, favor, love, grace, kindness, as the pleasure of a King blessing his subjects! The year the High Priest’s sacrifices were accepted with the blood sacrifices and death accepted for our sin. The debt is now paid and the petitions or prayer requests are now heard and acted upon. And the day of vengeance when the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies and God’s rage, revenge and jealousy was poured out upon the sacrificial offering and accepted. Now after this the people can be comforted with compassion as the sacrifice for their sin has been accepted and they can take a deep breath and sigh of relief for their trespasses have been atoned for.” Comment: Today when we accept the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for our sin this offering of God for God on  behalf of God is presented before the Father and our sin is forgiven. But what of the fate of those who reject the sacrifice of God’s only Son Jesus Christ for their sin? I would rather be a fallen angel in Hell than an unbeliever in the earth! Why? Because then they themselves become the sacrifice in judgment condemned to an eternity with their leader Satan! The one and only unpardonable sin is the rejection of Jesus Christ as their Savior! While you still have breath you can still chose Jesus Christ! But one day the opportunity in the chapter of your life will end! You are only acceptable to God through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for your sin! Nothing else qualifies you for Heaven! No works or no efforts of your past, present or future will suffice! The Apostle Paul with all his great scholarly abilities said I only know Christ and Him crucified and nothing else! Give Glory to Another? Isaiah 42:8

“I am the Lord; that is my name: and my Glory will I not give to another; neither my praise to graven images.” Comment: His name is Jehovah and he has distinguished himself from idol’s! He will not allow his name to be ascribed to another! No one will take the honor that belongs to me! God’s glory, honor, abundance and all that he is be given to another? No praise to graven images that belong to God? God has distinguished himself from his creation! In the earth throughout history we have one God but many gods created and worshipped by men! Idol worshippers have made gods unto themselves! Earth worshippers, environmentalists, sun worshippers, worship of money, sex, fame, fortune are the gods of men! Satan has always tried to get mortal man to worship him! To steal worship from God! Any ideology that replaces God is self-worship! Atheism and evolution are two good examples! Self-worship is exalting men above God! So how do we reconcile this with the Gifts of the Spirit? The indwelling Holy Spirit? How can God share his nature with mortal men? We were created in the image of God! How can God live in mortal men who are sinners? God became man through his Son Jesus Christ! God is a Trinity! Father, Son and Holy Spirit! One God but yet three distinctions! Each with a specific purpose! The Holy Spirit was the first active agent involved in the creation of the heavens and the earth! Even today the Holy Spirit delivers Israel from her enemies! God’s Son Jesus Christ sacrificed his sinless body as a substitute for our sinful body! So after Salvation we ascribe glory to God through his Son! Now the benefits from God are available to us because Jesus is God! When we give Jesus glory we are giving God glory! God gives his glory to us through his Son! So now we have communion both ways! God to men and men to God! God see’s his Son living in us and it pleases him! He see’s his atoning blood over our lives! The Father gives his glory to the Son and the Son gives his glory to believers! The Holy Spirit see’s God through his Son living in you and he is attracted to dwell in you! The Gift’s of the Spirit such as love, peace and joy are ours! His power is available to us to give victory to believer’s and defeat Satan! Without Christ man can only give God graven images and human sacrifices! God sacrificing himself for you is the only acceptable sacrifice! He was sinless! The praise of men that they give idol’s belong to God! If God saved your life and stepped out in front of a vehicle and took your death who would you be thankful to? The reckless drunk driver? No but yet this is what idol worshippers do! They thank Satan who wants to destroy them and reject God who has saved them! This is the unpardonable sin against God!  James and Hamsa Sasse. Israel Forever! Isaiah 59:21

Hebrew Translation: “As for me this is my league and confederacy with them. This is my covenant between me and them established by a sacrifice. My Spirit is upon thee, and my words which I have put in their mouth, shall not depart out of their mouth, nor out of the mouth of their offspring, nor out of the mouth of following generations said the Lord, from today, tomorrow, and the hidden and concealed things will perpetuate eternally!”

Trump Legacy! Isaiah 59:19

Hebrew Translation: “So shall they have emotional and intellectual fear of harm which motivates them to have reverence and formal worship with Godly living from the west and his honor, majesty, abundance and wealth from the from the rising of the sun (east). When the enemy shall come in like a flood the Lord shall lift up a standard against him (Satan). Comment: The Trump legacy will be a period of history where prosperity, power, peace will reign over the world and America will return to her power and majesty as leader of the free world! Trump will be re-elected in 2020 as President and all the efforts of the enemy to de-throne him will fail! America will also have a spiritual revival beginning in 2020 that will move American’s away from material worship and return them to church on Sunday mornings! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

No Intercessor? Isaiah 59:16

Hebrew Translation: “And the Lord saw that there was no individual man among men and was astonished, appalled and desolated that there was no intercessor; therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness with mercy, honesty, fairness, justice, integrity and truth established a relationship between men and God.” Comment: Isaiah lived about 700 years before the birth of Christ! So here among many other scriptures we have a prophecy of a special event in history planned and executed by God for the redemption of men! This is why it is so serious a sin to reject the Christ that God sent to earth to make a way for redemption of men! In fact it is the unpardonable sin! The only one yet many commit out of rebellion!
