They stripped down in a mega church service out in Houston Texas! All I can say is if our small church down here in Georgia had strippers attending our church services we would have a big church too! Why they bother Joel Osteen is beyond me? He is not the gold standard for a warrior in our American culture wars? He never mentions scriptures in our Bible that oppose abortion, homosexuality, lesbianism, gay marriage, cancel culture, sexual change surgeries for children but does write books about “Your Best Life Now”! Forget about heaven? Why go there? I do not hate Joel and he does have a good influence on our culture! It is just it is not reality! The left may be trying to corner him on the abortion issue since he is quiet about it! To be popular we cannot avoid the issues our Bible addresses! No Denial in Philadelphia! Revelation 3:7
“And to the angel (pastor) of the Church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth, and shutteth and no man openeth.” Commentary: If you are holy and true before God and men you will never deny the name of Jesus! You will always confess him and proclaim him before men! Peter had a denial problem but then confessed him even unto his martyrdom. Jesus hates political correctness! No Happy Holidays here but to proclaim the Christ in Christmas! The world will try to silence you about your Christ using intimidation tactics! I do not wear my religion on my sleeve? Jesus if you have him lives on your inside! I would be a Christian were it not for a Christian? Fact is only Jesus can save you no Christian can! Our job is to point people to the Savior! They must come the same way we have come! Whatever is on our inside comes out on the outside! Faith, love, hope, redemption, forgiveness, peace, faithfulness, prophecy, power, judgment and the resurrection from the dead! In America they will tell you he is a white man’s religion? Wrong! Jesus is from the Middle East! His message spread across Europe and finally to America! Jesus is a brown or olive skinned man! Jesus said I knock at the door! If you let me in I will commune with you! I will encourage you and save you from your sin! If you shut the door on me no man will be able to save you! You will be lost forever! Jesus is knocking at your door! Will you answer his call? Are you too busy? Did you hang up on God? If you answer his call your life will be changed in a way you could never do on your own! Church at Sardis! Revelation 3:3
“Remember therefore how thou has received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shall not watch, I will come as a thief, and thou shall not know what hour I will come upon thee.” Commentary: Christ will judge his church! Judgement begins at the House of God! He will come unknown to some! His stealth footsteps unknown to the perishing! Some in the church would not repent! Sin not forsaken with hypocracy and the decay of sterile religion! It was a church in the form of Godliness yet no power! A dead church! Buried but never resurrected! Jesus called them to be watchful against their enemies and to be active and sincere in their duties dependent upon the Holy Spirit to revive and strengthen their faith and affection living for God alone! Jesus did make mention of a few faithful at the Sardis Church! Surely those members are written down in the Book of Life! We are to live for God with all the evil that surrounds us! As Jesus supplies our strength to endure to the end we through his grace snatch the deceived out of the jaws of Satan! Stay faithful in the midst of an unfaithful generation! Choose good over evil! Proclaim his good news in the midst of all the bad news! Proclaim his love for the world that has rejected him without cause! Stay faithful and true to Christ and his church! Listen Church! Revelation 2:7
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit sayeth unto the churches; to him that overcometh will I give to eat of the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” Commentary: Jesus is speaking to his church not the world! Sometimes we are hard of hearing? How shall we hear without a preacher? Listen to the Word of God! Faith cometh by hearing the Word! The written and then spoken Word of God! The Trinity spoke the worlds into existence! So what must we overcome to receive the fruit of eternal life? Sin authored by Satan! Jesus overcame our sin by taking it to a cruel Cross and paid the price of death and judgment for you! However it does you no good unless you trust Jesus with the miracle he has done for you! Jesus is in the midst of the paradise of God! He was also being the Tree of Life present in the Garden of Eden! Yet Satan took their gift of free choice and deceived them into eating fruit from the wrong tree casting death and disease upon the human race! Jesus conquered death for you but you have to receive the sacrifice by faith and trust him with the promises he has given us! Without faith it is impossible to please God! Not by our works but his works on the Cross! The only sacrifice acceptable to God! Jesus raised from the dead on the third day! How many days have you lived trusting yourself rather than trusting God with your present and eternal life? Are you eating from the wrong tree? Time to put your ears on church! Christ Loves His Church! Revelation 1:20
“The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” Commentary: Biblical scholars for the most part in commentaries over hundreds of years believe the seven angels are the seven pastors of the seven churches in Asia Minor! The Greek word “angel” can be translated Pastor! The Apostle John imprisoned in a slave labor camp by the Romans on Patmos was given this vision for those churches to communicate to them his will, direction, correction and encouragement to the Body of Christ! Jesus does not name these pastors or churches because Caesar would arrest and imprison them! His letter had to be coded so that the churches would be protected! God by his spirit communicates with those he loves in visions and dreams so that our enemies are confounded! These messages are also to those congregations! Church leaders are very important to God! Whether leading small or large congregations! Pastors are the shepherds of the sheep! Not perfect and neither are we but appointed by God and anointed by God to build his kingdom down here on earth! I want to share a personal experience with you when back in 1983 we were commissioned as missionaries to India for 3 years by the world’s largest church located in Seoul Korea. The Pastor was Paul Yongi Cho and we spent 10 days there in Korea with him and his church which then was about 500 hundred thousand members and today over 1 million members! I was then really green behind the ears and we had our own idea’s how to do the work in India! However after spending about 15 minutes in his office everything changed! Cho told us our primary mission to India was to help local pastors across all denominational lines with our time, money, prayers, encouraging, correcting when necessary, preaching, evangelizing and coming under the authority of those pastors! Why? He told us the way Satan tries to destroy the church is to attack the head or pastors of those local churches! Cho understood the importance of God’s plan of the church to reach the entire world with the Gospel! No lone rangers in the Kingdom of God! Our mission today is still the same! Revelation is to His Church! Revelation 1:18
“I am he that liveth, and was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death.” Commentary: These are the words of Jesus given to the Apostle John. This scripture is in red letters! John is in prison on a slave labor camp on Patmos! A stone quarry! The rock pile! Jesus has given John these revelations to his church! Jesus was telling us he was separated from God in the heart of the earth preaching to the captives between the crucifixion and his resurrection from the dead! He is alive by the quickening of his spirit by his Father! Quickened forever continuing eternally forever! Jesus says he also has the keys to hell of the departed souls separated from God! He also has the keys to death that accompanies their condition and position of separation from me! I can with my keys release you from eternal judgment but you must receive me as Savior in this life now! Jesus is whether in heaven, earth or hell his message is the same! If you will receive the revelation of his Salvation everything else will work out! Then as part of his church revelation will continue to flow to you! All things become new! Old things are passed away! His word en-powers you to do ministry in the earth to reach the lost! His purpose of your life is released in relationship to him! He will give you the power and authority to release the captives that are destined for hell and death! Then you do what Jesus did here while on earth! His purpose is released through his church! Are you involved in the harvest? Are bringing in the sheaves? You are either bringing people to God or you are driving them away! Your life reflects either redemption or judgment! Time is short! Nazi Germany 501c Church Exemption!
A threatening, though initially mainly persecution of the Catholic Church in Germany followed the Nazi takeover with one party rule! The regime agreed to the Reichskonkordat Treaty with the Vatican, which prohibited clergy from participating in politics. Following political moves began to dissolve the Catholic Youth League. Clergy, nuns and lay leaders began to be targeted, leading to thousands of arrests over the ensuing years, often on trumped up charges of currency smuggling or immorality. In the face of this persecution, Pope Pius XI issued his Mit Brennendis Sorge Enachical, which denounced the pagan ideology of Nazism. In response, hundreds more were arrested and sent to concentration camps. The 501c instituted by the Democrats over the past 60 years has slowly chipped away at our liberties as we head to a one party rule here in America! So the silence by the church over decades on important political issues on morality in exchange for money has set us up for tyranny across our nation!
