The Whole Deal!

1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of him ye are in Christ Jesus, who of God is create us [wisdom], [righteousness], and [sanctification], and [redemption].” Commentary: When we are in Christ Jesus in relationship with us he gives us the gifts we need to navigate life here on earth! We need to look at the four words I have bracketed above. The first word is wisdom! The Greek word is Sophia. Wisdom comes from above! Wisdom is not something we can acquire by our own efforts but is a gift from God given to us in relationship to him! Solomon asked God for wisdom not silver or gold! Wisdom brings prudence in our relationships and enables us to properly navigate our circumstances! Joseph in Egypt used wisdom of God to benefit the Jews living there and the Pharaoh and the Egyptians! Job lost everything and his wife told him to curse God and die! Job knew better and ended up with much more than he lost! The fear or reverence of God is the beginning of wisdom! A fool has said in his heart there is no God! Wisdom and fools are opposite each other! Our second word righteousness is probably the most misunderstood word in your Bible! Most people think well this action is on me? The Greek word is Dikalosume. We get our English word justice from this word. Lately we hear the word social justice all the time! To the world this word means rioting, stealing, burning down buildings through criminal activity to right another crime! It is not the justice of men that makes us righteous for all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God but it is the justice of God that makes us righteous! Justice is a claim on a higher authority in which we adopt as our own! Justice had to be meeted out on one for us all for all have sinned! God took the penalty of death for our sin upon himself on the Cross! When we embrace his justice then we are forgiven and justified before him and our righteousness is based on what he has done for us! Not based on our own merit but on his eternal love! We do not deserve it or earn it but a gift from God! Our next word is sanctification. The Greek word is Hagiasmos. The word means to be separated unto God Holy recognizing the rights of God are on my life! Recognizing my life is not my own rendering ownership unto my creator! This is why Darwin and his theory of evolution gets it so wrong! The lies of Darwin saying we are getting better with time when history proves him wrong! That we are evolving into a better species that history refutes! Men without Christ are always getting worse! To their own destruction! When we recognize our rights come from God then our responsibility to God and men is paramount! We belong to God by virtue of creation itself! We are not our own but bought with a price! If we are to be made better then it is by the actions or influence of God over our submitted lives to him! The covenant is God first recognizing you and you recognizing him and his exclusive authority over your life! God makes us holy because he is holy! The unholy cannot make anyone holy! Sanctification benefits those who are also separated unto God abstaining from sin! You benefit others who are sanctified! This is the importance of the Body of Christ! The world will think your holiness is a weakness and you are a fool! They will benefit very little from your good works for they will mock you! Consider all the good works Jesus did while on earth and what did they do with him? They will do the same to you! Ask his 12 disciples! The last word is redemption! The Greek word is Apolutrosis. We get our word ransomed from this word. That is a price was paid by God to free you from your sin! He gave his own life on a cruel instrument of death called the Cross! To give these four words of hope and power to live a victorious life! God sent Jesus into the earth to redeem lost men! We receive him by faith and not by any of our works! The work of God is eternal! To receive this gift we have to receive him! Receive what God has done for you today! Time is running out for all of us! Heaven and Hell weighs in the balance! Christmas & Taxes! Luke 2:1-7

The Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus got up on the wrong side of the bed one morning and decided the whole world should be taxed! This taxing was first made by Cyrenius governor of Syria! They must have been Democrats! So poor Joseph had to get on his donkey (hybred vehicle), along with his pregnant wife Mary and ride down to Bethlehem! Mary was also taxed along with Jesus still in her womb! The politicians played an important role in getting Jesus down to Bethlehem to be born fulfilling many Old Testament prophecies! Then another politician named King Herod who wanted to kill the baby Jesus caused them to flee down to Egypt for a couple years to fulfill more prophecy! Then after Herod died they moved to Nazareth where Jesus became known as the Nazarene! So the good bad and ugly of politicians helped to complete God’s promise of a Savior to the world! Many politicians today here in America try to stop Jesus second coming! Their strategy will help promote his second coming as they play the fool! The best way to celebrate Christmas is to understand no one can or will stop Christ from completing his mission to earth! No one can stop his love for the world even by changing his name to Happy Holidays! Rest in his peace and joy this season knowing all is well because of Christmas and Easter! This is How it will End! Daniel 7:27

“And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High (True God creator of Heaven and earth), whose kingdom, and all dominion and rule, shall serve and intelligently hear and obey him.”

Witness of the Jews! Isaiah 61:9

  1. And their seed, offspring, family and race will be perceived and known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people, nation and tribes: all that see them shall recognize and acknowledge them, that they are the seed that the Lord has blessed.  Comment: Salvation has come to the earth through the Jew! We need to be reminded of this because if forgotten history has shown us that even the church has been guilty of the persecution of the Jews! Yet congregations are very seldom reminded of this? If we are not taught the whole truth and nothing but the truth then error can enter into the church! The world will never have any problem persecuting the Jews! Did you ever observe that a right theology by the church leads to the persecution of the Jews and the church! Bad theology leads to the church  persecuting the Jews! Jesus a Jew was persecuted by the Jews not because he was a Jew but because he claimed to be God! Would the Messiah not be God? The 1st Century Jews knew the scriptures but they believed their Messiah would be a world political leader who would conquer the Romans and the world! Much like the Anti-Christ will do in the future here on earth! The true Messiah conquers through love! A sacrificial love demonstrated on the Cross! So the Jews ignorantly offered up the sacrifice that would save the world! A Jewish sacrifice offered up by the Jews! Many Jews will turn to Christ during the 7 year Tribulation period in history! The Jewish Anti-Christ will set up his world reign from the re-built Jewish Temple at Jerusalem! The False Prophet will set up his co-reign with the Anti-Christ at Rome! The False Prophet will be the one world religious ruler! My guess is it will be Islam! The Church will have been raptured by then! When the Anti-Christ proclaims he is God the Jews recognize their error! Jesus said many false Christ’s will come! A Jew who hates the Jewish Messiah has been deceived! A Jew who loves the Anti-Christ has been deceived! A Jew or a Gentile who loves the Jewish Messiah has found the truth! Your defense against the false Messiah’s of this world is the Word of God! Train Up! Proverbs 22:6

Hebrew Translation: “Train up; that is initiate, consecrate, dedicate and teach in community, a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Comment: The key here is to teach the child in the totality of the community! So what is the trinity of the community? It is first parents, church and school! The school part is where the rub can come in! If your children attend a public tax funded school here in America the children or young adults will be conflicted! That is they will be taught things there that will contradict what you teach them at home and in the Church! Creation versus evolution is one important example! The children will be taught that homosexual, lesbian and transgender gender is to be celebrated! Loyalty to America will be discouraged! Prayer will not be allowed! No Bibles in school! If your children attend a religious supported school whether Jewish, Catholic or Protestant their chances of confliction are greatly reduced! They will also be exposed to real academic training rather than social engineering! The Democratic Party gets their supporters and voters through the Public education system! Home schooling is an option! One third of all Harvard freshman are home schooled adults! I want to have my children miss out on school shootings, drugs and the violence in public schools! Twenty percent of all public high school graduates cannot read! Raising children is a real challenge but what complicates it is your children being taught atheistic ideologies from Darwin, Engels, Marks and others that oppose your Biblical view of life! Sprinkle the Nations? Isaiah 52:15

Hebrew Translation: “So shall he sprinkle, gush, spatter, startle with the execution of his whole hand the nations to cleanse them from sin! To sprinkle with his blood; the idol Kings shall stop their speech at him for that which they had not celebrated they shall see; and that which they had not heard intelligently with undivided attention they shall perceive and understand intelligently.”

The Shepherd is Smitten! Isaiah 11:10

700 B.C. , Hebrew Translation; “And on a specific day there shall be a root of Jesse (Lineage of David), shall be an ensign of striking, piercing and wounding for the whole human race and the non-Jews shall seek Him and His rest shall be glorious with honor, majesty, abundance, prosperity and wealth.” Comment: The specific day was on a Cross at Calvary in 33 A.D. Jesus the root of Jesse died on the Cross for the whole human race! In history since 33 A.D. billions of gentiles have come to Christ and trusted Him for their salvation! Heaven has come down to earth in God’s only Son to give our world hope! To live in His presence is a choice with immeasurable benefits! He has given us fullness of joy! Cast all your cares upon Him! Your hope is just one breath away! Confess His name with your mouth to Jesus and He will confess your name to the Father! Your name to be written forever in the Lamb’s Book of Life! Made Whole! Luke 8:48-50

Jairus the Temple ruler had one daughter 12 years old who was very sick! Jairus had sent for Jesus but He got delayed when a crowd of sick people thronged Him! A woman in the crowd touched the hem of His garment and got healed! Jesus commended her for her faith! Jairus sent another message to Jesus telling Him not to come for his daughter is dead! You might call this a cold case! Jesus presented two conditions for restoration! Fear not and believe and you will be made whole! So what does the words made whole mean? Elementary Watson! The Greek root word used here is “Sozo.” It is the same word used for our English word “Salvation.” This word means a spiritual and eternal rescue granted immediately by God for those who believe in Christ! It is the current experience of God’s power to those who believe in Christ! It is God’s power to deliver us from sin and death! What death are we talking about here? It is the second death or eternal judgment made by Christ Himself! Remember Jairus daughter and Lazarus were raised from the dead but they died a physical death again! Lightening can strike twice! I was delivered from my death bed in 1973 and have served Christ for the past 44 years but I will experience another physical death! Remember what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 5:5? Remember the congregation member living with his father’s wife? Verse 5: “To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the Spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Remember Physical death is Satan’s work not God’s work! Death is the result of sin! If Salvation was a rescue of our physical bodies here on earth then we would never die again while here on earth! At the resurrection we will receive glorified bodies that will never get sick or die! Remember at the Judgment seat of Christ some Christians will lose their rewards but not their Salvation! When some Christians get to Heaven will they be on probation? Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us! Jesus went back to Heaven to pray for us, send the Holy Spirit and prepare a place for us! He will come again! You cannot go there unless you have Salvation with a new body and a redeemed soul! He can provide that to you because of Calvary! The Easter message is about this hope we have in Him and His promises to those who accept Him as Savior! Our hope is in Him! Our past is in Him! Our present is in Him! Our future is in Him! History and Faith! Joshua 10:12-13

If the Lord did stay the sun for a whole day then this should show up in historical records of other cultures because it would affect the whole earth! The records of the Chinese during the reign of Emperor Yeo, who lived at the same time as Joshua reports a ‘long day’. Heroditus, a Greek historian wrote that an account of a ‘long day’appears in the records of Egyptian priests! Another record in Mexico reports the same standing still for an entire day denoted as ‘seven rabits’, which is the same year as Joshua defeated the Philistines! The historical record of the Aztecs, Peruvians and Babylonians speak of a ‘day of twice natural length’. History and science support our Bible and it is the most dependable literature in existence!
