Comment: Did you ever notice Jesus had his scars on his body after the resurrection! The scars from the Cross! In fact this is the way the disciple Thomas confirmed it was truly Jesus raised from the dead! At Jesus second coming you will see his scars! For those who reject him will see his scars before they are judged by him into everlasting hell! For those who have accepted Jesus at the judgment will also see his scars! The disciples all rejected Christ when he told them on the third day he would be resurrected from the dead! At least they did not believe him! Why was Mary Magdalene the only one who believed Jesus? The disciples witnessed the miracles done by Jesus but Mary experience his power! Jesus cast seven demons out of her! When we are raised from the dead will we carry some scars? People who abused us and others who we have abused? At our resurrection other people will recognize us! Same facial recognition! Same gender! However the guilt of sin and shame will be gone forever! I am talking about believers in Christ! God created us to save us! My sin is there but covered by his blood! Forgiven! God becomes greater than our sin! We forget the scars because he has forgiven us! His love is greater than our sin! When we forgive our enemies the scars are there but no longer hurt! Our sin first is against God yet Jesus will forgive us if we confess our sin! My wounds are healed by his stripes! Those stripes that were laid on his back! He was bruised for my iniquities! He carries those bruises for me! He was beaten beyond recognition for me! For my sin! He was denied a married life with a spouse here on earth so he could become the bride of the church! The war on Christ here in America in the 21st Century is a war on scripture! The gender war is a war on creation replace by evolution! God created male and female! Charles Darwin the Jewish atheist has many disciples! If we could evolve from a monkey anything is possible! We could evolve from a male to a female! From a female to a male! We could evolve to a sexless person! We could evolve from a male female attraction to a male to male attraction! First Resurrection! Revelation 20:4-5
Greek Translation: Verse 4: “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment with a private sentence with no jury was given unto them, and I saw the souls of the immortal immaterial eternal part of men that were beheaded for the witness, declaration and testimony of Jesus, and for the Word or final intelligence of God, which had not worshipped with adoration, kissing and reverence for the beast, neither had received his mark or the representation of him upon their foreheads, or their hands, and they lived spiritually and eternally and reigned and ruled with Christ the Head of the Church for a thousand years.” Verse 5: “But the rest of the natural dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished and the goal completed. This is the first resurrection.” Comment: The martyr’s for Christ are given a special place during the millennium rule of Christ here on earth! They are appointed to judge the wicked! All judgment is given unto the Son! This is fascinating to me! How would you judge the ISIS terrorist who beheaded you for your faith? Would you forgive him or chop his head off? John the Baptist was beheaded by Herod! What about the young girl who provocatively danced before Herod to get John’s head? What if they would have come to Christ after their evil deeds? Do you give them what they deserve or grace? What document would you use to judge them? It goes on in verse 5 and says the rest of the dead that lived on earth will not rise until after the millennium. For final judgment! Remember at this time Jesus releases the devil back into the earth! So what did these dead immediately do? They surrounded Jerusalem with their armies! When you raise the devil from the dead he is still the devil! When you raise the Saints from the dead they are still the Saints! Remember the word judgment means a private judgment with no jury! So how would you do this? If you read the rest of the Chapter you will get the answer! The Book of Life! Right now today your name is either written or not written in the Book of Life! All judgment is based upon God’s Word! Your Bible my friend! That is the gold standard! God’s Word according to the Greek, Strong’s#3056, means the final intelligence of God! Can you read God’s mind? Read his Word! Read his Bible! In the beginning was the Word! Not a tadpole! Not a frog! Not a monkey! His Word! God created everything by his Word! His Word is a seed that brings life! His word was twisted in the Garden of Eden by Satan just as it is today! His Word stands true! His Word will either save you or judge you! Jesus Resurrection! 1 Peter 3:22
Greek Translation: “Who has gone into heaven the residence of God, and is on the right hand having preference first in high rank equal to God and of God; messenger angels and authorities granted permission by authority with right, might and dominion and powers inherent and capable with great abilities being created in relationship and under the authority of Christ with power to conquer yet lacking the freedom to do their own will.” Our Founding Father’s gave us our Constitution with the balance of power so that not the will of one man could rule over another man! You can only be ruled by another by your own consent as established by our Constitution! Our Constitution is Biblical based! We also cast our vote for or against God! Before I came to Christ and submitted my life, will and abilities under his authority what did I do with my own will? I chose sin every time! I was wicked and opposed the Kingdom of God! I was the enemy of God! Even choosing Christ was beyond my own will it was a miracle! I thought I had life figured out but I was dead wrong! I alienated myself from God and was no good to anyone! There were angels in Heaven that had their own will! Lucifer and his followers or about one third of Heaven! Lucifer became Satan! None of us really have our own will! We will always follow the will of another! If not following the will of another we will lead others to follow our will. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil! You are either going to follow God or Satan! The Holy Spirit and the evil spirits have a great influence over our minds! We are to put on the mind of Christ! That is why we read and study our Bible daily! Remember Jesus prayer? Not my will but thy will be done! If Jesus had done his own will he would not have gone to the Cross! Our own will opposes God! Why? Because we are following the wrong will! Your last will and testament declares who you are following! Satan follows his own will and deceives millions of people into following him deceiving them into thinking they are following their own will! This path leads to death and destruction! God’s will for your life is that you might be saved! Saved from yourself! We are wrapped in the flesh the enemy of God! Flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom of God! However the flesh and blood of God and his Christ has redeemed us! Our will has to become his will. Salvation is about giving up your own will and submitting to the will of God! I Am That I Am! Exodus 3:14
The Hebrew word for this English phrase is “Hayah”. Strongs # 1961. This Hebrew word is also related to another Hebrew word “Havah”. Strongs #1933. What is interesting is that these words are not nouns but verbs! So they represent an action or initiation of something! The first word describes God as “to exist.” He always was and always will be! He does not fade off into history like men! The second Hebrew word used means to “breathe.” Do not confuse this word with the two Hebrew words used in Genesis 2:7 and Genesis 6:17. In Genesis 2:7, Strongs #5387, the word breath means a Divine inspiration with intellect. The word breath used in Genesis 6:17, Strongs 7307, means a violent exhaustion of air and spirit. Like giving up the ghost! At Creation God the I Am That I Am, initiated his breath into man with Divine inspiration and intellect! At Noah’s flood in Genesis 2:7, the word breath means a violent exhaustion of air and spirit by death! At birth we receive God’s breath! At death we exhaust God’s breath! At Creation our life is established by his breath! We are established with his breath! We did not evolve! So our breath is not our own! So you have to be careful what you say! Some people have bad breath! Do we praise God or curse him with bad breath? Do we exalt God or ourselves? Every good or evil action is initiated with the breath of our words! Again our breath is not our own! Who is the owner of your breath? When Jesus raises us from the dead again one day we will have breath again! Both believers and unbelievers! Remember the story Jesus told of Lazarus and the rich man? It is found in Luke 16:19-31. Lazarus the beggar was taken to Heaven and the rich man to Hell. There was a great gulf between the two abodes! The rich man begged Abraham to warn his brothers still on earth to the Hell that awaits them unless they repent! Abraham told the rich man in Hell that his brothers had Moses and the Prophets! Abraham told the rich man that if they will not believe them then they will not believe one though raised from the dead! So God was really telling Moses to tell Pharaoh that I am the breath that all men have! I am the God that breathes breath into men! I am the Creator of all living things! Pharaoh you have not evolved by your own works! Pharaoh since you are using my breath that I gave you do not abuse me in unbelief towards me! Jesus said we must be born again! I second breath or wind! Before being born again I cursed God with my breath! No I praise him with the same breath! Pharaoh rejected the God that gave him breath and he and his army was drowned in the Red Sea! In the time of Noah the world except for 8 souls were drowned in the flood! Remember Lucifer who became Satan the Praise Leader of Heaven? Remember the fallen Angel? He used the breath of God to Glorify God then he used the same breath to oppose God! He rebelled against God in Heaven and was cast down to earth with 1/3 of the angels! Now they use the breath of God to oppose his Kingdom here on earth! Satan has many followers over the generations that have lived since the Garden of Eden! Is your breath used to raise doubts about God or affirm him? After the resurrection of the dead we will have breath again! Some to everlasting life and some to judgment! The Praise of the Saints will be beautiful but the screams of Hell deafening! Remember this! What you did with God’s breath while here on earth will determine your outcome in eternity! You are not your own you have been bought with a price!If I were God I would be reluctant to give mortal men my breath! Very risky! Will they praise me or curse me? With the breath of God Jesus said on the Cross,” Father forgive them for they know not what they do”! Crucify Him! Good Old Boy? John 5:29
“And they shall come forth, they that have done good unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation.” Comment: So what did Jesus mean by the word good? Is it a Hindu taking a dip in the Ganges river? Is it a Muslim making his pilgrimage to Mecca? Is it a member of the Elks Club? Is it a Boy Scout leader? Is it a Buddhist walking across hot coals in a hypnotic state with mind over matter? Is it the church member who only attends Christmas and Easter services once a year? One of the challenges of Bible translation is the translators will try to find one English word that will translate from the Hebrew and Greek! The Greek word used in this passage means to be constitutionally good! However not to be necessarily benefiting others! It means by the law you are good! That is your goodness comes from outside of yourself! That is by law your sin penalty of death was paid by Christ on the Cross! So the Supreme Court in Heaven has acquitted you of your sin and death penalty! So a good old boy who tries to be good on his own is condemned to death and damnation simply because he trusts in his own righteousness! Divisional Unity! Acts 2:4-6
Divisional Unity? Sounds like a contradiction or an NFL playoff game where winners move on! What is the Holy Ghost? Ghost translates Spirit of God or the breath of God! God breathed His life into us! We see here at Pentecost or 50 days after His Resurrection and 10 days after His Ascension to Heaven that all the disciples gathered together waiting for the promise! What promise? Remember Jesus told us that He must go to the Father so He could send us the Holy Spirit unto us! To dwell in us! The Holy Spirit is like an escrow or down payment made to us to guarantee our preservation until Jesus second coming back to earth! The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity and was present even at Creation! The Holy Spirit given to His Church at Pentecost is to endue us with power! Power to promote the Kingdom of God here in the earth! When the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples they began to speak in other tongues! The word tongues translated here from the Greek means to speak in a foreign language. Then we see in verse 6 that the disciples were confounded because every man heard them speak in his own language? The disciples were a diverse group gathered representing many languages! They had difficulty understanding why men that did not know their language could speak their language? Remember the Tower of Babel in the Book of Genesis? God divided the one language spoken there into many languages to confuse this civilization from their prideful project of building a tower to heaven! Thousands of years later God by His Holy Spirit brings all the different languages together so they can all understand each other! God brought unity in worship! Man’s efforts at the Tower of Babel brought separation! God’s efforts at Pentecost brought unity of worship to God! The barriers were removed to enable corporate worship! Reproach of Men! Isaiah 51:7
“Listen unto me carefully that you understand to discern and know righteousness. For my people are those who know my heart and inner soul of my law. Fear not the shameful displeasure of men neither be broken or despaired of their sinful rebuke.” Comment: The true commentary is we all initially opposed God! Those that have repented understand His righteousness because they understand His forgiveness! Once you understand you have sinned against God you understand His righteousness! Your night brings His light into your life! Those that live in and promote evil do not understand their error and God’s standard! God’s standard is described in your Bible but those that reject His Word reject God Himself! As described in Isaiah sinners will try to shame you and rebuke you for taking the God standard! They will sue you and drag you into court as they did with the Colorado family who refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple! Since Jesus is not around to spit in His face, mock Him, plant a crown of thorns on Him, whip Him bloody and nail Him to a Cross they only have you His follower to persecute! Remember on the Cross Jesus asked His Father to forgive them for they know not what they do! Why could not Jesus have forgiven them? Jesus had not yet completed His redemptive work on the Cross! After Jesus death and resurrection the way was open for His persecutors to repent! It would not be smart to reject the only God who can forgive you your sin! Do Not Touch Me! John 20:17
Sounds like my old girl friend! This statement Jesus made is different in the Greek rendition than we have in the English! Here are some notes from the Greek notation in my Bible. The verb “hipton”, the present imperative of hipto(681), should be translated, “do not continue to touch me.” It is “do not touch me” in the commonly translated and should have been translated if this verb had been in the aorist imperative, hapsou. So does it matter? It means Mary has already touched Him! I think anyone would have to want to touch Jesus after his Resurrection with the human curiosity of is this the real deal? Remember Thomas later in this chapter would not believe until he touched Jesus and felt the scars of His Crucifixion! In regards to the four pillars of redemption which includes Jesus birth, death, resurrection and ascension Jesus even though human fingerprints were all over the first three pillars did not want human influence on Him after the resurrection before His ascension! The Greek word touch means to intentionally touch to modify with influence on! God wants to modify our behavior but God wants no human influence on Him! We are not going to take this flesh we are living in to Heaven! The only thing that influenced my behavior away from God is my flesh! We leave it the grave for a reason! After Jesus resurrection He walked through a closed door to see His disciples! No physical limitations of the flesh! Jesus has transformed my life but death will finish the job! We cannot enter Heaven in this flesh so we have to be transformed from the worm to the butterfly! We do not die without a purpose! We live with purpose in Christ and we die with purpose in Christ! No Ghost’s but the Holy One! John 20:21-23
After Jesus Resurrection Mary Magdalene finally recognized Jesus at the tomb! But Jesus warned Mary not to touch Him for He had not ascended to His Father and your Father! A few verses later we see why Jesus said this! Jesus found His other disciples hiding out in fear from the Jews! Jesus instructed His disciples that they must go out into the world the same way my Father has sent me! Jesus told them they must receive the Holy Ghost! Must receive the Holy Spirit! Jesus breathed on them and His breath transmitted the Holy Ghost into them! Then Jesus told them as they went out into the world to preach the Gospel that whoever accepts my atonement for their sin will be released from their sin but whoever rejects me will retain their sin with judgment!
