Comment: Salvation has come to the earth through the Jew! We need to be reminded of this because if forgotten history has shown us that even the church has been guilty of the persecution of the Jews! Yet congregations are very seldom reminded of this? If we are not taught the whole truth and nothing but the truth then error can enter into the church! The world will never have any problem persecuting the Jews! Did you ever observe that a right theology by the church leads to the persecution of the Jews and the church! Bad theology leads to the church persecuting the Jews! Jesus a Jew was persecuted by the Jews not because he was a Jew but because he claimed to be God! Would the Messiah not be God? The 1st Century Jews knew the scriptures but they believed their Messiah would be a world political leader who would conquer the Romans and the world! Much like the Anti-Christ will do in the future here on earth! The true Messiah conquers through love! A sacrificial love demonstrated on the Cross! So the Jews ignorantly offered up the sacrifice that would save the world! A Jewish sacrifice offered up by the Jews! Many Jews will turn to Christ during the 7 year Tribulation period in history! The Jewish Anti-Christ will set up his world reign from the re-built Jewish Temple at Jerusalem! The False Prophet will set up his co-reign with the Anti-Christ at Rome! The False Prophet will be the one world religious ruler! My guess is it will be Islam! The Church will have been raptured by then! When the Anti-Christ proclaims he is God the Jews recognize their error! Jesus said many false Christ’s will come! A Jew who hates the Jewish Messiah has been deceived! A Jew who loves the Anti-Christ has been deceived! A Jew or a Gentile who loves the Jewish Messiah has found the truth! Your defense against the false Messiah’s of this world is the Word of God! Are You Acceptable? Isaiah 61:2
Hebrew Translation: “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. The year of delight, favor, love, grace, kindness, as the pleasure of a King blessing his subjects! The year the High Priest’s sacrifices were accepted with the blood sacrifices and death accepted for our sin. The debt is now paid and the petitions or prayer requests are now heard and acted upon. And the day of vengeance when the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies and God’s rage, revenge and jealousy was poured out upon the sacrificial offering and accepted. Now after this the people can be comforted with compassion as the sacrifice for their sin has been accepted and they can take a deep breath and sigh of relief for their trespasses have been atoned for.” Comment: Today when we accept the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for our sin this offering of God for God on behalf of God is presented before the Father and our sin is forgiven. But what of the fate of those who reject the sacrifice of God’s only Son Jesus Christ for their sin? I would rather be a fallen angel in Hell than an unbeliever in the earth! Why? Because then they themselves become the sacrifice in judgment condemned to an eternity with their leader Satan! The one and only unpardonable sin is the rejection of Jesus Christ as their Savior! While you still have breath you can still chose Jesus Christ! But one day the opportunity in the chapter of your life will end! You are only acceptable to God through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for your sin! Nothing else qualifies you for Heaven! No works or no efforts of your past, present or future will suffice! The Apostle Paul with all his great scholarly abilities said I only know Christ and Him crucified and nothing else! Faith & Baptism! Mark 16:16 (Greek Translation)
“He that puts his faith or trust in me and is submerged in water as a profession of their faith shall be saved from sickness and death. He that disobeys shall be judged and condemned!” Comment: I substituted faith and trust for belief because it is the same Greek word. Belief is a verb and requires a response or action! Baptism is an act of obedience based upon your faith in Christ! So the old proverbial question is does baptism by itself save you or is it Christ alone who saves you or it is both? Jesus was baptized yet the thief on the Cross who was saved was not baptized? Baptism is an identification with Christ! In the early church baptism was a public identification with Christ! Baptism was not done in a church building but along a stream, river, lake or sea shore for unbelievers to see! Today we could live behind the four walls of a church and unbelievers would never know you were saved! This is where much of the American church is today! To publicly profess Christ outside a church is foreign to much of the church today? If the unbelieving world does not know you are a Christian God probably does not know either? When you enter the cultural war with gays, lesbians, Muslims and abortionist you are a target! Worship has to be more than the Sunday only crowd! Your Pastor cannot save you! You want me to serve Jesus seven days a week, 24-7? I do not have time? Remember that old hymn, “Take Time to be Holy.” The word time means to honor! If you do not worship God in this life then where? Get some Gospel tracts and start there! Distribute them wherever you go! Give them to store clerks at Walmart, McDonald’s, Best Buy, Sears, Burger King, Waffle House, Post office, Government Federal State and County offices or wherever you go! Jesus does not have a denominational name stamped on His forehead! Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved! In the previous verse 15 Jesus said, “Go out into all the world and preach the Gospel to all the world.” The Greek word used for preach means to publically proclaim the Gospel! Covetousness? Jeremiah 6:13
So what does covetousness mean? It is a word in the Bible and it is something i do not want to do! I always thought it is just wanting someone else’s stuff? However according to the Hebrew definition it is much more than that! It is to gain through violence! It is dishonest gain or plunder! Like aborting babies and selling their body parts! Just before Israel went into captivity to Babylon this was the state of the people! This cancer affected the least to the greatest of people! Jeremiah went on to say it affected the Priests and Prophets also! They dealt falsely! Falsely means anything done with deceitfulness! To even do a right thing in appearance but with evil intentions! It simply means to lie with wicked intentions! So the whole Jewish culture was absorbed with covetousness! Were the Babylonian saints? They were even worse! God has a way to punish the wicked by sending someone to rule you that is even worse! History is full of Nations who have gone down this path! God will always have His voice through His Prophets to warn the people! I would remind America to listen to her Prophets as judgment will otherwise come! Donald Trump will help direct America back towards God and the Clergy must respond to take the mute button off their messages of repentance and proclaim God’s Word across America so that Liberty will once again Rule America!
