Beside me there is no God.” Comment: Remember the words of Jesus in Revelation 22:13? I am the Alpha and the Omega! The first and the last! Why is he first? He is the cause of creation! Jesus was before all things! Very opposite to Darwin and evolution where he believed there was no God so with him everything began with man! When Jesus said he is the end it does not mean his extinction! Jesus meant his goal is reached redeeming men from death, Hell and the grave! Jesus is last for the conclusion of everything! He concludes with grace and judgment! You cannot have one without the other! You either let Jesus take your judgment on the Cross or you take your own judgment condemned to Hell. Remember Matthew 20:16? Jesus said the last shall be first and the first shall be last! Lazarus the beggar was last in this world and the rich man was first! Then after the judgment Lazarus was first and the rich man was last! Jesus being first in time, order and rank will pass out rewards and punishments! Credit Card Praise! John 5:43
Jesus did not come in his own name! He came from Heaven to earth in his Father’s name! Jesus told the crowd that you receive me not? However if another shall come in his own name you will receive him? Jesus whole walk on this earth was to give his Father the glory! What much of the world cannot stand is for you to come to them in Jesus name! If you tell the world my name is Frank, Sally or George they have no problem! But if you come to them in the name of Jesus all Hell breaks loose! Most people have a Visa or credit card. The bank that has given you the card has given you a loan or some credit! If you took the name of the bank off the credit card it would be worthless! You purchase by credit in the name of the bank! Your name on the card by itself would not even buy you a can of beans! Our power and authority does not come from our own name but from the name that is above all names! When we call on Jesus name it gets the attention of the Father just as a charge on your Visa gets the attention of the bank! Without the recognition of the bank or the recognition of the Father your request will be denied! The Father listens for the name of Jesus from your lips! Some people curse rather than praise Jesus! Do people go around cursing their bank? Your credit rating is all about you honoring your bank by paying back the loan! How much credit do you give Jesus for your life? How is your spiritual credit rating? Have you refused to give the credit for which he has paid out to you on the Cross for your sin? The debt was paid by him! Your debt! Trinity of Communion! 1 John 5:7-8
Verse 7: “These are the 3 that witness a good report in heaven, the Father, the written Word and the Holy Spirit or the Breath of God.: Verse 8: “and these are the 3 that witness a good report in the earth, the Spirit, and the water and the blood; and these 3 agree as one.” Comment: So we see in Heaven a Trinity of the Father, Word and Holy Spirit! So where is Jesus in Heaven? Remember the Word became flesh and dwelt among us! Now let us move down here to the earth. We have a good witness of the Spirit, the Water and the Blood! We have the Holy Spirit, the Blood (Jesus Christ) and the Water! The Water? There is only one thing the Lord could be talking about here! Baptism! Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River! Jesus washed the disciples feet with water before the Cross! I believe there are 3 elements of Communion! The body, the blood and water! Baptism is a separate ordinance in the church as so is Communion however you cannot separate them spiritually! After Jesus was baptized the Holy Spirit descended on Him! It pleased the Father! Should we want to please God? Baptism is a witness in the earth to the world that we belong to Christ! In Communion we identify with Christ in Heaven here in the earth and in Baptism we identify with Christ here in the earth as a witness to the world! We do these things in remembrance of Him because He first remembered us at Calvary! God first loved us! Do you want to identify with Christ? Can you be saved without baptism and communion? Yes like the thief on the Cross but would you not want to experience the joy and fellowship of communion with God? In order to be in authority we must be under authority! The ordinances of the Church and the tithes and offerings established by God are there to test you and see if you are under God’s authority? You cannot be in God and not under His authority! Do you forsake assembling together in Church on Sunday’s? If you do you are not under His authority! No Ghost’s but the Holy One! John 20:21-23
After Jesus Resurrection Mary Magdalene finally recognized Jesus at the tomb! But Jesus warned Mary not to touch Him for He had not ascended to His Father and your Father! A few verses later we see why Jesus said this! Jesus found His other disciples hiding out in fear from the Jews! Jesus instructed His disciples that they must go out into the world the same way my Father has sent me! Jesus told them they must receive the Holy Ghost! Must receive the Holy Spirit! Jesus breathed on them and His breath transmitted the Holy Ghost into them! Then Jesus told them as they went out into the world to preach the Gospel that whoever accepts my atonement for their sin will be released from their sin but whoever rejects me will retain their sin with judgment! Enlightenment & French Revolution (1789-1799) The thinkers in this period of history contradicted each other in the correct course of action! What is new? Many deep thinkers cautioned Europe not to cast off Church Authority and replace it with atheism! The same warnings ring true for America today! After the heads were chopped off and the Napoleonic Wars were over Europe had over a million casualties! Some historians say there were some good benefits to all this but to sacrifice over a million people to get there? The following warning came from great thinkers of their day! Voltaire held that without a belief in God who punishes evil, the moral order of a society is undetermined! That is since atheist gave themselves to no Supreme Authority and no law and had no fear of eternal consequences, they were far more likely to disrupt society! Herod’s Defensive Letter to Caesar!
Letter form Herod Antipas to Tiberius Caesar and the Senate of Rome: “My Noble Lords, Greeting, As to what Pontius Pilate says in regard to my cowardice and disobedience in the case of Jesus of Nazareth, I will say in my own defense: I was informed by all the Jews that this was the same Jesus that my father aimed to destroy in his infancy; for I have it in my father’s private writings and accounts of his life, showing that when the report was circulated of three men inquiring where was he that was born King of the Jews, he called together the Hillel and Shammai schools, and demanded the reading of the sacred scrolls; that it was decided he was to be born in Bethlehem of Judea, as read and interpreted that night by Hillel. So when my father learned that there was a birth of a male child in Bethlehem under very strange circumstances, and he could not learn where or who the child was, he sent and had all the male children slain that were near his age. Afterward he learned that his mother had taken him and fled into the wilderness. The Rich Hate Him! The Poor Love Him!
Has anything changed in 2000 years? Here is a comment in Pontius Pilate’s letter to Tiberius Caesar’s describing the Crucifixion of Jesus that happened under his provincial authority: “The rich Jews hated Him and curse him behind his back and call him an Egyptian necromancer! The poor people love him and claim him as their King and deliverer from Roman authority!” Comment: In America today it is the rich atheistic Jews in Hollywood, Media, commerce and Political positions who are trying to stomp Jesus name out of American culture! However not the orthodox Jews as they support conservative values! The same spiritual battle carries on in 21st Century America as it did in 1st Century Palestine! The poor love him and the rich hate him? Why? The rich trust in their wealth and the poor trust in their Savior! I saw the same thing in India the 3 years we lived there! However there are some rich people who do not love money but Christ as Joseph of Armithea did! We find some Pastor’s who compromise the Gospel for money and book sales! Do we need another Book beside the Bible? I think not! If the millions of dollars spent on books about Jesus would be spent on missions I think the world would be better evangelized and faster! However I would rather see this money spent on books about Jesus that spent on stuff we do not need! The important point here to know your Bible otherwise a book about Jesus could deceive you unless you know the Bible! Two Stages to Anarchy! Isaiah 1:28
Hebrew translation “And the destruction of those who break away from religious and civil authority are criminals who habitually break the law and suffer the consequences of their actions shall be destroyed together! They that abandon the Lord shall perish!” Comment: As we look at this scripture we see the first stage is to break from religious authority! It may start as simple as working on Sunday and stop attending church altogether! It could also involve robing God and stop your tithes and offerings to the House of God! In America I have lived long enough to see the break down here started in the 1960’s! It began with the baby boomer generation. All traditional values were questioned especially Christian values! These values were mocked by popular culture in their music and immoral behavior! The courts decided prayer should be removed from our public tax funded schools! A vacuum in any culture is always filled with something else! Darwinism and evolution replaced scripture reading in our schools! Darwin was an atheist who taught our children we all came from monkeys! This explains the monkey behavior today in America! The University academia proceeded along the same lines of thought! Today in America Universities they have safe zones where students cannot hear any opposing views to atheism! Universities used to be the platform for debate on all issues but no longer the case! Free speech is shut down in favor of political correctness! The next stage in anarchy is a break from civil authority! It is lawlessness! Police in the streets of America are being killed simply for representing civil authority! We have riots all over America yet the politicians are telling police departments to stand down and give them space to vent their anger? The police are not intervening to protect the public and property destruction! We have celebrities and sports figures not standing for our National Anthem mocking the millions of American Military and civilians who died to protect our freedoms! Politicians have carved out sanctuary cities protecting criminal aliens who assault and murder our citizens! Drug dealers take sanctuary in these cities selling drugs and killing our young people! We have an immigration policy that lets in people who want to harm us! So according to Isaiah lawless people reject religious and civil authority! As a Christian I support and encourage religious and civil authorities! Now some companies refuse to serve law enforcement people? I would suggest that these companies be put on a “no-go” list where police do not protect them! When their business gets robbed, murdered or raped they can call their mommy for help!
