Enlightenment & French Revolution (1789-1799) The thinkers in this period of history contradicted each other in the correct course of action! What is new? Many deep thinkers cautioned Europe not to cast off Church Authority and replace it with atheism! The same warnings ring true for America today! After the heads were chopped off and the Napoleonic Wars were over Europe had over a million casualties! Some historians say there were some good benefits to all this but to sacrifice over a million people to get there? The following warning came from great thinkers of their day! Voltaire held that without a belief in God who punishes evil, the moral order of a society is undetermined! That is since atheist gave themselves to no Supreme Authority and no law and had no fear of eternal consequences, they were far more likely to disrupt society! Reformation & Anti-Sematism! Romans 1:16
Their (The Jews), rotten and unbending stiffness deserve that they be oppressed unendingly and without measure or end and that they die in their misery without pity of anyone! John Calvin Comment: This is not a good attitude to have to win Jews to Christ? Yet the Protestant Reformation carried out the same persecution of the Jews that the Catholic Church did? One of the greatest benefits of the Reformation was getting the printed Gospel into the hands of the common people like you and me! With the aid of the printing press the Bible was mass produced in English and other languages and distributed to the people to read for themselves! This was probably the greatest revolution of history! Prior to this the Bible was in Latin and only read and interpreted to the people by the Catholic Priests! During the Reformation Martin Luther thought the Jews would come to Christ but he was wrong! In his anger he also set up persecution to the Jews! It was culminated 400 years later for Germany with Hitler! The reformers helped clean up the corruption in the Catholic Church! However during the 30 Years War between Catholics and Protestants we had 8 million casualties! The Truth does not come cheap! The Apostle Paul was a Jew and he became so upset with the Jews that he decided to take the Gospel to the Gentiles! If Jesus being a Jew could not reach the majority of Jews while here on earth who are we? Jesus disciples were Jews who gave us our New Testament! Marks and Engels were atheist Jews! Darwin the atheist was a Jew! Einstein was a Jew! The majority of Jews here in America today are atheists and support with their millions of dollars Democratic left wing causes! Christopher Columbus was a Jew! He was a believer in Christ! Peyton Manning and Robert Kraft owner of the Patriots are Jews! The Orthodox Jews here in America by 90 percent are conservative and vote Republican! So we support what we believe about God! We know from scriptures that the Anti-Christ will be Jewish and gay! Do you think the Jews would trust a Gentile to go into their re-built Temple in Jerusalem? During the 7 year Tribulation period in history many Jews will come to Christ! As with the Apostle Paul the scales will be lifted from their eyes! D-Day, June 6, 1944 World War II
Let us remember the fallen American’s today with 29000 casualties on D-Day and 407000 total losses of U.S. military in World War II. World War II so far has been our deadliest conflict on earth with about 70 million total deaths! Let us not forget the thousands of wounded who bore the wounds for the rest of their lives! They sacrificed for us and changed history so that we can live in freedom today! Give tribute to them today! US Intervention in Syria? Genesis 16:12
Over 93000 casualties in Syria over past two years. Iran and Russia are supporting Syria. The US was to pull all forces out of Iraq next month but the US military leaders say will not be possible with all sides feuding and elections next month. Will have to stay to see if stability will come? Afghanistan falling apart as we prepare to leave. Libya was a disaster for us in trying to get a democracy going? Giving tons of money to Egypt to try to buy stability? With hundreds of billions of dollars of debt fighting the muslims over past 12 years where are we going? Do we give up and surrender to tyranny? What does the Bible say about this problem? The Bible says the descendants of Ishmael will be wild men and every man against his brother. One of the few things I did agree with was President Obama’s do nothing policy on Syria! It looks like he is changing since use of chemical weapons in region? In Islam there are no good and bad guys! They are all bad! The military weapons we would give them would be turned on us sooner or later. I would suggest to our elected leaders to make decisions based on Biblical values and not just jump into a fight knowing the spending of our blood and money would be in vain trying to help an enemy who abhors our American values! Then what is left of our foundation to sustain us? Yes the adjustment was over 600,000 casualties as brother fought brother in our most costly civil war! But the Grand Union prevailed and righteousness won and God favored our land. President Lincoln made the ultimate sacrifice along with so many millions more to preserve this great land! As abortion casualties approach 40 million with a missing generation it is so strange as the silence continues by so many Christians in America? If you never find anything worth dying for you will never find anything worth living for! God thought we were worth dying for when He sent His Son Christ to the Cross for us!
