Has anything changed in 2000 years? Here is a comment in Pontius Pilate’s letter to Tiberius Caesar’s describing the Crucifixion of Jesus that happened under his provincial authority: “The rich Jews hated Him and curse him behind his back and call him an Egyptian necromancer! The poor people love him and claim him as their King and deliverer from Roman authority!” Comment: In America today it is the rich atheistic Jews in Hollywood, Media, commerce and Political positions who are trying to stomp Jesus name out of American culture! However not the orthodox Jews as they support conservative values! The same spiritual battle carries on in 21st Century America as it did in 1st Century Palestine! The poor love him and the rich hate him? Why? The rich trust in their wealth and the poor trust in their Savior! I saw the same thing in India the 3 years we lived there! However there are some rich people who do not love money but Christ as Joseph of Armithea did! We find some Pastor’s who compromise the Gospel for money and book sales! Do we need another Book beside the Bible? I think not! If the millions of dollars spent on books about Jesus would be spent on missions I think the world would be better evangelized and faster! However I would rather see this money spent on books about Jesus that spent on stuff we do not need! The important point here to know your Bible otherwise a book about Jesus could deceive you unless you know the Bible! Do The Righteous Suffer With The Wicked? Isaiah 6:10-13
Absolutely! Even one step further they suffer for the wicked! Jesus on the Cross for us is the best example! How about Moses in Egypt? Isaiah was frustrated! He asked the Lord how long shall I preach to a people who have a fat heart, heavy ears, blind eyes and a heart that does not understand? The Lord answered and said, “Until their cities be wasted without an inhabitant, and their houses without men and the land utterly destroyed.” The Lord removed them to a far place (Babylon). After 70 years the Lord said ten percent would return as a Holy Seed! If you could get an accurate account of how many Christians today faithfully give their tithe to the work of the Church most Pastors would probably say about ten percent! It has been said that if every Christian would tithe their income and not rob God there would be enough funds to Evangelize the world in about 30 days! However most cannot even trust God with 10 percent of their income yet the same people claim they are going to trust God with their eternity? Someone is blowing smoke here? Jesus and John both quoted Isaiah 6:10, explaining that the 1st Century Jews were no different than the Jews living in Isaiah’s day 800 years earlier! Remember as Jesus predicted the Romans destroyed their Temple in 70 A.D. and carted off all the wealth of the Temple and burned Jerusalem and carted off one hundred thousand Jewish slaves to build the Roman Coliseum! Then the Christians were martyred in the Coliseum for the next 300 years! Is the 21st Century Church any different from the Jews in 1st Century Palestine? Are you a 10 percenter? Covenant! Genesis 17:8
We often separate the Old and New Covenant in our Theology! However the word Covenant is the same word used in both the Old and New Testament! There is only one word used in the Greek for Covenant in the New Testament! So the only thing that separates them is time! It is the passage of time that proves the Covenant! The passage of times confirms the Covenant to the Jews, Israel and to the Gentiles! Four thousand years later from Abraham we have the nation of Israel. The word Constitution is another word for Covenant! Our U.S. Constitution is a Biblical document! Remember a Covenant is conditional. Whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved! Whosoever believeth in me shall not perish but have everlasting life! Here are some words that describe Covenant: determination, stipulation, league, treaty, alliance, constitution and a sacrifice! It was sealed by passing between the divided parts of a sacrifice! It is a divisor will, to put apart! Jesus will one day separate the sheep from the goats! We see in Genesis 15:18 that God promised much more land to the Jews than Canaan. However the Covenant is conditional and the Jews broke the Covenant! Captivity was their lot when they did this! A Covenant is a contract accompanied by signs, a sacrifice and a solemn oath which sealed the relationship with promises of Blessings for obedience and cursing’s for disobedience! Jesus was obedient even to death on a Cross! The Jews rejected human sacrifice! That is what the Heathen did! Therefore their Messiah could not be human! This is the challenge Jesus met in 1st Century Palestine! They were puzzled? How could Jesus do miracles that only God could do yet He appeared human? They understood God created humans yet their sacrifice could not be human! Their concept of God was He would come down as a knight in shining armor riding a white horse and destroy the Roman government! What they were really envisioning was Jesus second coming! What Jesus was trying to tell them is that He was God! A human telling them He was God was blasphemous to them! The Jews could not put all this together in their minds? God created human beings who sinned against Him and then He sacrificed Himself for them? This defied their understanding so they Crucified Him! They executed the sacrifice! What was missing was Faith! By Faith Abraham believed God! Counted as righteousness! Without Faith it is impossible to please God! We know He loves us! We will never know everything about God because then we could control Him! Could you imagine what the Judas Iscariot’s of this world would do with that! A jet aircraft flies through the air at hundreds of miles per hour! It does not think about it’s designer but simply does what it is designed to do! We are designed to worship God! Who Invented Crucifixion?
The first historical record was about 519 BC when King Darius I of Persia (Iran), crucified 3000 political opponents in Babylon. It was later employed by the Greeks especially Alexander the Great and by the Carthaginians from whom the Romans adapted the practice as a punishment for criminal slaves and illegal immigrants.Crucifixion was not introduced into Palestine until Hellenistic times. The Seleucid Antiochus 4th Epiphanes crucified Jews who would not accept Hellenization. The Roman Empire crucified millions of Christians! How many have recognized crucifixion has been revived with hundreds of Christians crucified in Iraq and Syria! Islam Joins Nazi Germany 1941
Arab Muslim leader Grand Mufti Amin al-Husseini meets Adolf Hitler on November 21, 1941. The chief Muslim, Islamic legal religious authority and Muslim Leader from Palestine meets the Nazi Fuhrer. Prior to this meeting, in June 1940 he offered his services to the Nazi Reich government. In 1941 he went to Berlin through Tehran, where he explained to the German ambassador, Erwin Ettel, his plan to bring all Arabs under the banner of Pan-Arab over to the side of the Axis (2 Jun 1942). Here he came out unconditionally for the “final solution” of the Jewish question, calling for Germans to wipe out all Jews, “not even sparing the children.” He intervened with Nazi’s to prevent the escape to Palestine thousands of European Jews, who were instead sent to death camps. He also conspired with the Nazi’s to bring the Holocaust to Palestine. He also ran the Nazi’s Arab-language propaganda radio broadcast out of Berlin which incited Muslim’s to kill Jews wherever you can find them!
