What does repent really mean? Jesus asked the church at Ephesus to repent! In fact Jesus asked five of the seven churches in the Book of Revelation to repent! These are saved people! The blind side of sin is it can only look back and not forward! Sin is a Spirit that causes an evil action! It is listening to a voice in your head that opposes the Word of God! True repentance is not just regret for getting caught but a change of heart towards God! Recognizing we have a future beyond our sin and outside of ourselves! God does not overlook our sin he paid a price on the Cross for it! Sin is defeated understanding our forgiven past and promised future! That is why we must forgive others! Repentance is more than the regrets for sin but a willful choice to abandon the sin that led to the regrets! It is more than just sorry! Looking forward to the promises of God and not looking back! To live only for today will lead to sin! To live for tomorrow today is visionary and looks from God’s perspective into eternity! To fly blind is to not take God at his Word! Suicides are all about taking sin on all by yourself! That is what Judas did! Years ago we were trying to help this lady who told us I know God has forgiven me but I cannot forgive myself? We shared with her that then you are making yourself greater than God! Sin is about making yourself greater than God! Satan’s suicide plan for your life is defeated by putting God in his proper place in your life! Who Are They? Revelation 2:6
Who are the Nicolaitians? The word in the Greek means the conqueror of the people! Specifically in the Church of God! They are only referred to twice in the Book of Revelation. Both the church at Ephesus and the Church at Pergamos had the same problem! (Verse 2:15). The Nicolaitians were Bishops and prelates of the church gaining a triumphal victory over the laity! This is the very sin that brought forth the Reformation! It is mostly responsible for all our denominational and non-denominational churches around the world! The Nicolaitians compelled and forced church members to submit to the arbitrary dominion of men who have become the ones which the eternal hates! The Apostle Peter warned us that those who are leaders among God’s people must not dominate the faith of others but rather exhort them to do right! (1 Peter 5:1-3). The Nicolaitians are people in the church who have established a hierarchy of power and dominion under a government of ecclesiastical rulers! Comment: Yes! God hates these folks! Correction is very different from condemnation! We take the word disciple from the word discipline. Jesus used the techniques of correction and commendation very effectively! We as parents either tend to over correct and under commend or over commend and under correct! Everything I do cannot be right and everything I do cannot be wrong! That is why I need a Savior! My experience in ministry over the past 45 years has shown me people do not like to submit to authority! This is the nature of Satan! Most people will submit to authority if commended and corrected in love! However some will never! Hell is reserved for these folks! Why will some never submit? Because they want to replace God! Suicide Mission! Proverbs 8:36
Hebrew Translation :”But he that sinneth missing the mark in your relationship to me and missing your true end and purpose in life wrongeth or commits violence and suicide against your own soul; against your mind, your body and your very breath: all they that hate me love death.” Comment: So what would be some examples of suicide in American culture in the 21st Century? How about abortion with over 57 million deaths! How about drugs with over 73 thousand young people killed last year? The list goes on but all because people hate God and will not follow his Commandments! When you teach young people Evolution and remove God out of their lives they lose hope in living! So what ideologies has man concocted to replace God? Let us take the more recent ones! Here is the most recent one with a historical record of hundreds of millions of deaths created! Engels, Marx, Neitzsche, Trotsky, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini all created socialist political systems based on their belief in Darwinism or Evolution! These were all suicidal political systems created by a vacuum left in the belief that there is no God and every man is accountable to no one! Darwinism today in America is the foundation of the Democratic Party here in America! These ideologies are taught in our public schools! The same socialist idea’s are alive in the party today! School & Police Shootings! James 1:2
“My brethren of the same womb count it all joy, that is rejoice with gladness of heart when you fall into various types of temptations.” Comment: James had a primary ministry to the Jews. He was referring to the Jews when he spoke of the same womb! However we as Gentile Christian’s that are “born again” are of the same family! So we to are to rejoice when temptation comes! Why? Remember Jesus prayer he taught us? Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Temptation is authored by Satan and God will deliver us from his evil. What we do with the temptation will prove us either good or evil. Remember Job? Satan was the author of all his loses of family and wealth! However God gave him back twice as much! Jesus himself was tempted many times by Satan to try to keep him off the Cross! If you are God turn these stones into bread! Jump from the Temple Mount one of your angel’s will save you! Temptation will either condemn you or exonerate you! The evidence that we are all sinner’s and need salvation tells us we all have had moral failings! God has given us a way of escape through the one that defeated Satan at the Cross! We can choose to repent and change! Satan will solicit us to sin! God will empower you to resist! Resist the Devil and he will flee from you! Jesus cast out Devil’s but he did not destroy them! They moved on finding a herd of swine to dwell in! Satan was a deceiver from the beginning even before creation! He was cast out of Heaven and was waiting in the Garden of Eden! One day he will be cast into the Lake of Fire with his followers! So why did James say count it all joy? James goes on to explain in the following verses! To develop your faith with patience! A Crown of Life waits those who endure temptation! Endure means to resist Satan! How? God can empower you to resist Satan! Without the power of Christ no mortal can resist Satan! How did Jesus do it? He constantly said , “It is written! It is written!” Do you know the Words God wrote? Jesus resisted the Devil with the Word of God! The liar of all lies when he hears the Word of God will flee! Satan thrives on ignorance! Ignorance is not Bliss! It is Hell. Why is the Bible the most banned Book on earth? Try to get a Bible into any public funded University or High School. Our youth are taught Darwinism or Evolution where the strong should get rid of the weak! The stronger species will destroy the weak! The same conclusion that Darwinism teaches to our children is the same ideology that drove Hitler to do what he did! This ideology leads to racial pride and violence against each other! No knowledge of the Word of God leads to school violence and attacks on legal authorities! The vacuum left by removing every trace of God is filled with anarchy! They cannot hear the voice of God so they listen to the voice of Satan! It is back to the Garden of Eden all over again! You can take away guns but they will be replaced with knives, swords and clubs! Violence is not done by the weapon but by the evil heart of man living without the knowledge of God! The political left is behind all this Godless ideology! We need to return education to the American family and privatize our public institutions! Solicit President Trump to give school vouchers to every American family instead of sending these hundreds of billions of dollars from your tax money to public institutions! Why get Baptized? Acts 2:38
Greek Translation: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent! Have a true change of heart towards God understanding that your future is not dependent on your past! Be baptized! That is make a public identification with Jesus Christ through water immersion. Be baptized in the name and character of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your willful and intentional acts against God! Be baptized with the purpose of serving God by the free gifts of God’s character through the Holy Spirit!” Comment: Believe it or not this church doctrine has been controversial for the past two thousand years! You would think it would be a slam dunk but not the case! Some believe infant baptism is enough! However there is no conscious decision on the part of the infant to do this! Some believe there is no need of baptism because the thief on the Cross was not baptized yet he was saved! Baptism is connected to forgiveness but not dependent on it! Baptism is about power for ministry! It is about an effective work here on the earth! Jesus was baptized yet he did not need to be saved! Some say I am saved and therefore do not need to be baptized! If it is good enough for Jesus it is good enough for me! Remember the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus after baptism! The Holy Spirit will empower you for effective ministry here on the earth! Without His love you will be abusive in the ministry! Your human capacity will never be enough! We need the character of God to do the work of God! The thief on the Cross was headed for heaven! No earthly ministry time left for him except to say he was saved without baptism! The Holy Spirit saves us until the rapture or Christ’s return to earth! The Spirit is the down payment or escrow to hold us until his return! Remember Jesus said greater things will you do after I send the Holy Spirit! We have examples of baptism in the Old Testament! “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Comment: This is great! I can forget my mortgage payments! My credit card payments! My utility bills! No more taxes! Even better than Trump! No more insurance or car payments! No more rent! No more nagging wife or condemning husband! No more diapers! No more toxic supervisor! I feel like I have died and went to Heaven! This verse in Isaiah is not a prison escape plan! What Isaiah is really saying is do not let your past sin become your present sin! Warning to Gay’s and Lesbian’s! Leviticus 18:22
Chapter 18 of the Book of Leviticus covers forbidden sexual practices! It also covers human sacrifices which we see in Islam! Verse 22 instructs us that homosexual behavior is an abomination to God! Yes God is homophobic! God is love but hates sin! He could not be a Holy God and endorse sin! Won’t ever happen! The best example in history of his rebuke of gay’s is Sodom and Gomorrah! Marrying and Given in Marriage? Matthew 24:37-39
I always thought Jesus was talking about traditional marriage between a man and a woman! I thought Jesus was trying to communicate that things were carrying on as before and then suddenly He returns! However, a Jewish Rabbi Charne Dov Keller has a different perspective! In the ‘Inside Israel Newsletter’, (Vol. 13, No. 7), he writes in the ‘Jewish Observer’, ‘The Midrash (Acharie Mos) tells us that the Generation of the Flood was wiped out only because they wrote marriage contracts between males just as they did for conventional couples! We can better understand the cultural expression ‘only because’ as meaning the ‘singular primary reason’ in importance as the cause why God brought the Flood upon the world at that time in antiquity! The next destruction was Sodom and Gomorrah for the same reason! The Apostle Jude warns us in verse 7 of our history and mentions going after strange flesh meaning homosexuality and bestiality! Is Rabbi Keller correct? If he is then that means we are very close to the Rapture of His Church and God’s hammer of Judgment coming on the world! Some Pastor’s claim all sin is the same? Satan throughout history has tried to prevent the “bruising of his head” by the seed of the woman! The latest political ploy by the Democrats is that everyone except them has a war on women? What an oxymoron this is since they promote abortion and homosexuals! The primary sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was homosexual behavior. God does not have a war on women but Satan does! History has shown us that God does have a war on gays! The next major event of God’s judgment on man was at the Flood of Noah! Comment; As we see the continued decline of America we also see cultural perversion endorsed and sanctified by our governments across America. Much of the “Church” is mute on these issues and some even endorsing them! Many Pastors do not want to loose their 501c exemptions and many want to remain popular and sell their books! There is only one “Book” that counts and that is the Holy Bible! God has provided a way out from all sin through His Son Jesus Christ! God will not accept “Gay Christians” which is another oxymoron!
