This is what happens to those who love money more than God! The following are the five characteristics of people who are in love with money; 1. The more they have the more they want. 2. The more they have the more they spend. 3. The more they have the more they worry. 4. The more they have the more they lose. 5. The more they have the more they have to leave behind. Pastor David Jeremiah Comment: Solomon was the richest man that has ever lived on the earth! He had 700 hundred wives and 300 concubines or girl friends! If anyone knew the deception of wealth he knew! Learn from him who had it all but in the end he said it was all vanity! That is to no purpose! Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil. Jesus offended the rich but had compassion on the poor! Judas lost his soul because of a love for money! Divisional Unity! Acts 2:4-6
Divisional Unity? Sounds like a contradiction or an NFL playoff game where winners move on! What is the Holy Ghost? Ghost translates Spirit of God or the breath of God! God breathed His life into us! We see here at Pentecost or 50 days after His Resurrection and 10 days after His Ascension to Heaven that all the disciples gathered together waiting for the promise! What promise? Remember Jesus told us that He must go to the Father so He could send us the Holy Spirit unto us! To dwell in us! The Holy Spirit is like an escrow or down payment made to us to guarantee our preservation until Jesus second coming back to earth! The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity and was present even at Creation! The Holy Spirit given to His Church at Pentecost is to endue us with power! Power to promote the Kingdom of God here in the earth! When the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples they began to speak in other tongues! The word tongues translated here from the Greek means to speak in a foreign language. Then we see in verse 6 that the disciples were confounded because every man heard them speak in his own language? The disciples were a diverse group gathered representing many languages! They had difficulty understanding why men that did not know their language could speak their language? Remember the Tower of Babel in the Book of Genesis? God divided the one language spoken there into many languages to confuse this civilization from their prideful project of building a tower to heaven! Thousands of years later God by His Holy Spirit brings all the different languages together so they can all understand each other! God brought unity in worship! Man’s efforts at the Tower of Babel brought separation! God’s efforts at Pentecost brought unity of worship to God! The barriers were removed to enable corporate worship! The Ascension! Luke 24:51
The word “carried up”, comes from an interesting Greek root word and that Greek word comes from even another Greek root word! These two Greek words translate as a reversal. Jesus descended into the earth as a man child born to Mary in the little village of Bethlehem! After his mission of the Cross and resurrection he reversed his order and ascended back to Heaven! Sometimes we use the word rapture to describe the ascension however the word rapture is not in your Bible! So when Jesus completed his first mission on earth the Father punched his ticket to return home! However Jesus mission on earth is not complete for he will return at his second coming with his church! The word Heaven used in verse 51 is also an interesting word! Heaven is God’s residence! In the Old Testament it is called the Holiness of Separation! The Holy Heaven! It includes the sky above the earth, the sun moon and stars! It is everything above the earth! From where Christ descended from and to where he ascended to! Heaven includes the throne room where Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father! It includes the host of angels with the Saints worshipping God around His throne! It includes the 24 elders! A rainbow is wrapped around the thrown signifying the Covenant! They walk on a floor of crystal glass! nothing hidden! No sin there! Streets are paved with Gold! Gold is not a rare metal there! Jesus is in prayer there for the Saints down here on earth! He does not pray for the world but for the believers on earth! Nationalism is alive and well in Heaven! Believers in the earth have access to Heaven! Believers on earth are purchasing a two way ticket to Heaven and the unbelievers a one way ticket to Hell. For those that trust Christ He has purchased our tickets to Heaven with His own blood! People that choose Hell buy their own ticket purchased with their unforgiven sin! Jesus can check our reservations by looking in the Lamb’s Book of Life! One World Two Kingdoms! Acts 17:26-27
Greek Translation; “God has made one flesh and blood of all nations of an organized people of men (Democracy), to dwell in a fixed dwelling place on the face behaving to the eye of another on the earth and has set boundaries for the time (not chronos), but the opportunity to do something with my specific Commands for my specific purpose. That they should seek the Lord, if decisively, then they might feel after him and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.” Comment: So is God a Nationalist or a Globalist? We see here that God created everything but yet set boundaries! Boundaries like the ten Commandments and territorial boundaries! God respects sovereignty! No sanctuary cities in Heaven where criminals can hide! Heaven has a border and so does Hell. Notice we are to decisively seek God making a conscious decision to do so! We have one world but two Kingdoms! Two Kingdoms competing for dominance! God promotes life and Satan promotes death! God wants righteousness to reign and Satan wants evil to reign! This is what this war on earth is all about! God has an immigration policy that prohibits illegal immigrants from entering Heaven! The screening process is the Blood of the Lamb! Jesus atoning blood must be applied to your heart and mind! This will legalize your status into Heaven! The refugee’s from Hell are looking for illegal entry into heaven! Satan wants a one world government with no borders or rules must like his first attempt at the Tower of Babel. God thwarted his plan dividing one language into many to confuse their attempt! God’s rescue plan was to send His only Son Jesus Christ into the world to save humanity! God promised Israel a land of their own through His Covenant promises! A case for Nationalism here! Jesus said to go out into all the world and preach the Gospel. Not to destroy cultures as marching armies have done throughout history but to redeem people within the context of their own cultures! That is to recruit people from wickedness to righteousness! One nation under God! Did you ever wonder how the Book the Bible ends? Read the Book of Revelation! Read the last Book! Want to see the ending! The two opposing Kingdoms of this world go into a final battle! Satan rules the world during a short seven year tribulation period! With the greatest destruction known to world history! Christ returns with the saints at the end of the seven year period conquering Satan and his armies and setting up Christ’s Millennium reign for a thousand years! Want to know more well read the book! So which leader of which Kingdom are you following right now? You can ignore the truth and believe a lie but it will cost you your eternity separated from God! Fishing Without Jesus! John 21
The disciples jumped into the boat with Peter! Peter was going to show them how to do it! It was his old occupation! Can you imagine taking Thomas the doubter along with you on a fishing trip? I told you guys you would not catch anything! Just wasting my time! The only thing we caught was a cold out on this water all night long! I really had my doubts about this trip! Shut up Thomas! Since the ministry had failed Peter went back to his old job! However it looked like Peter was failing in his old occupation? Was he rusty or bad luck? Failure can be a good thing if it points us to God! That has been my experience in life! When our own efforts fail God can do mighty things through us! If we can trust God rather than ourselves good things will come out of that! The disciples were so into themselves they did not recognize Jesus standing on the shoreline patiently waiting for them after their night of failure! Hey boy’s you caught anything last night? Hell no! I got a little heaven waiting for you guy’s! You boy’s are fishing on the wrong side of the boat! Throw your net on the other side! If in life you fish in the wrong place without Christ you could even catch things that could harm you! John was the first to recognize Jesus from the boat and when Peter found out he jumped into the water and headed to shore dragging the net with 153 fish in it! When Peter got to shore Jesus had a fire going on frying fish with bread! Jesus had already prepared what the disciples were seeking! They did not even need their big catch! Jesus has promised us that He would prepare a place for us! The Marriage Supper of the Lamb is waiting for us! The disciples finally figured out they could not make it without Jesus! Just One Unpardonable Sin! Mark 3:29
On previous posts we have discussed this important topic! We have discussed what is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Remember these are the words of Jesus speaking in Mark 3:29! Jesus can forgive every sin except one! Would it not be wise to know what this sin is? The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity! To offend one person of the Trinity is to offend all for they are one! Jesus is the only one who can forgive sin because He is God! God’s sacrifice for our sin! When it comes to the virgin birth of Jesus by Mary who came over her to conceive Jesus in the flesh? The Holy Spirit! To reject Jesus Christ is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit! Jesus will be your Savior or your Judge! Which is it for you depends on your choice about Christ! It depends on your choice! Morality is a choice! The outcome of your eternity depends on what you do with Jesus Christ while here on earth! Choose this day who you will serve! God or Satan? Heaven or Hell? Is Jesus Just a Gardener to You? John 20:15
Just as with Mary at one time in my life Jesus was just a gardener to me! As long as you do not look for Jesus you will never see Him! Mary Magdalene was the first disciple to recognize Jesus after His resurrection from the dead! Death seems to close the door on our personalities but really it does not! Remember the rich man and Lazarus? One life carried on in Heaven and the other life in Hell. Jesus carried on after his death the same way He was before death! Jesus disciples wrote Jesus off after the Crucifixion! Peter and John had preconceived idea’s about Jesus before they entered the tomb! They looked around the empty tomb and saw the grave clothes then fled and went into hiding from the Romans and the Jews! What they saw confirmed what they believed! This whole thing is a hoax! Mary hung around the tomb weeping because there was no body there to anoint for burying? Mary had experienced Jesus power for He cast 7 demons out of her! Yet she let death close the door on her faith and thought the man speaking to her in the tomb was a gardener! Then the voice and light of Jesus opened her eyes! Rabboni! Rabbi! Master! Jesus is always present even if you do not see Him! Just as a blind man can feel the rays of the sun so you can feel Jesus love! The stars shine brightest in the darkness of the night! After Jesus delivered me from death I could only see Him and experience His love! My allegiance and devotion turned to Him! Rabbi! Master! Power over death! Jesus was no longer a gardener to me! The Resurrection took on a whole new meaning! It was no longer just a religious story I heard once a year at church! Do you want the reality of Jesus or just a once a year story? You do not want to wake up on the wrong side of death as the rich man did! Either a Heaven or a Hell? The reality of Christ will one day come to all the living and the dead! Drugs (Sorceries) Revelation 9:21
About 35 thousand American’s die every year from drug overdoses! Actually the CDC says the numbers are greater than this because many overdoses are not reported! The English word sorceries comes from the Greek word pharmakeia from which we get our word pharmacy. In the Book of Revelation Chapter nine God is pouring out His judgment on the earth during the seven year tribulation period during the Anti- Christ one world government rule before Christ’s second coming! The Church has already been raptured from the earth! Even during these judgments when 1/3 of the earth’s population is destroyed they still would not repent of their drug use! Have you noticed the cultural shift here in America? The secular population is saying this drug use problem is a medical problem not a moral problem? Like medical marijuana! In fact all moral problems in America are viewed as medical problems including our mass shooters! So the last days game is on that immorality does not exist because God does not exist and the Bible has no application anymore! We all do what is right in our own eyes! So science has a fix for our immorality! So medicine is our new god! So no responsibility for sin? Since all the sinners just have a medical problem they need the State to step in since it is no fault of their own with welfare payments to those youth on drugs! Since the youth and their families cannot live on welfare payments alone they sell drugs to supplement your income! So what happens to Christian’s who have a Biblical standard of morality? Since we have a moral standard from a God that does not exist and a Bible that is irrelevant we must have a psychosis or medical problem that science can fix! The State must intervene and reprogram these people! There is a parallel going on in the Church in America today! Some of the big name Pastor’s who are on National media do not talk about sin anymore? Hell is never mentioned? It is all about getting rich and being successful and is all about self! Their pride is fed every Sunday! Remember Billy Graham? Repent for you are a sinner headed for Hell! He hammered this message over and over again! This message seems unpopular today as the standard of morality also fades from the pulpit! Altar calls have become extinct? Why have one if I am not a sinner and Hell does not exist? Christ wasted His time and life on the Cross? Chapter nine of the Book of Revelation closes out saying yet they would not repent of their murders, drug use, fornication and thefts! Lent Season 2 Corinthians 5:17
Greek Translation; “Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new quality never before accomplished and a fully restored man that God has created. Old things are passed away and all things have become new.” Comment: What things are passed away? Our sin has passed away! It passed away on a Cross over two thousand years ago! Sin died on the Cross with Jesus! It was nailed on a Cross never to rise again! Sin is defeated forever! Man was raised from the dead without sin! A new creature uninfected by sin! Born again! A restoration that has nothing to do with men but everything to do with God! The only sacrifice that is perfect and everlasting! Man’s efforts have failed but God’s work won the day! A victory that is not seasonal with every new game but eternal! No rivals! It is not a victory that is waiting for the next war but has defeated all foes past and future! A trophy that will not rust with time but the timeless redemption of all ages! Heaven and earth will pass away but not our Christ! He will create a new Heaven and a new earth to go along with your new life! Awaken to your new reality that had been hidden in time! Do you want to trade in your old model for the new model or do you want to hang unto death? Do you want to exchange your sin for righteousness before God? Righteousness that He purchased for you! John Lennon Promotes Hell!
Here are the words of this despicable song! Imagine there’s no heaven. It is easy if you try. No hell below us. Above us only sky. Imagine all the people . living for today. Comment: No heaven or hell? John is blaming God for the evil in the world! Remember the Bible says we were created in the Image of God! So John is saying if God did not exist everything would be alright! Such a mockery! The responsibility of evil in the world has nothing to do with God! It is his creation that wars against him is the result of sin! Living for today? No responsibility required? No rewards for good and no punishment for evil? His mockery of God is unequaled! He goes on in the second stanza and says imagine there are no countries? No religion too? As though peace would ensue if these were absent? Heaven is full of people from every country and so is hell! John is talking about the one world government to be established with the Anti-Christ rule for 7 years before Christ’s second coming! In the next stanza John is trying to recruit you to his hell on earth! Imagine no possessions? No need for greed and hunger? Brotherhood of man? Sharing all the world? John is promoting socialism and the communism which was responsible for the killing of millions of people! In the last stanza he again trying to recruit you to join him! Then the world will be one? John was really trying to tell us that it were not for God the world would live in perfect peace? The truth is there is a battle between good and evil because there is a Ruler for Heaven and a Ruler for Hell that are competing for your soul! To deny either is suicide! To chose Satan over Christ is to spend an eternity separated from God in Hell. Heaven, earth and hell is a reality show and to deny any of it is living in a John Lennon Imaginary world not connected to any reality!
