How do we know? The atheist asks the Christian do you know anyone who has come back from death? The Christian asks the atheist do you know anyone who has come back as evidence for your faith there is no God? We have Christ himself who was raised from the dead! He raised other people from the dead! In fact if there was no life after death God would not have wasted his only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sin to prepare us for the life after death! Easter is the best illustration God has given us to demonstrate his love for us preparing us not only for a life of peace trusting him today here on earth but experience his love for us as he has prepared a place for us in Heaven to live with him forever! Before & After! Isaiah 11:2, Revelation 4:5
Isaiah has a picture of Heaven! He has a vision of our Messiah in Heaven hundreds of years before his incarnation to earth at Bethlehem! The six spirits of God are resting on Christ making the number seven a sign of completion! Revelation chapter four is the same picture in Heaven of our Messiah except this is after his ascension from earth back to Heaven! However in verse 5 we see thunder and lightning which represents judgment! Christ here in Revelation is preparing for his second coming back to earth to judge the living and the dead! His first coming was as a lamb or sacrifice but his second coming he is the judge of all. Judgment to those that have rejected his sacrifice for their sin! Jesus first coming was as a lamb but at his second coming as a lion! The Holy Spirit is the active agent in Heaven and on earth! A crucial part of the Trinity! The Holy Spirit came upon Mary to impregnate her with our Messiah! When Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan River the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus! This is why baptism is an important ordinance of the church! Then when Jesus ascended back to Heaven he promised to send his Holy Spirit to his church at Pentecost! Jesus role in Heaven was different before his incarnation! His role on earth was different! At his second coming his role will be different! Is Jesus Just a Gardener to You? John 20:15
Just as with Mary at one time in my life Jesus was just a gardener to me! As long as you do not look for Jesus you will never see Him! Mary Magdalene was the first disciple to recognize Jesus after His resurrection from the dead! Death seems to close the door on our personalities but really it does not! Remember the rich man and Lazarus? One life carried on in Heaven and the other life in Hell. Jesus carried on after his death the same way He was before death! Jesus disciples wrote Jesus off after the Crucifixion! Peter and John had preconceived idea’s about Jesus before they entered the tomb! They looked around the empty tomb and saw the grave clothes then fled and went into hiding from the Romans and the Jews! What they saw confirmed what they believed! This whole thing is a hoax! Mary hung around the tomb weeping because there was no body there to anoint for burying? Mary had experienced Jesus power for He cast 7 demons out of her! Yet she let death close the door on her faith and thought the man speaking to her in the tomb was a gardener! Then the voice and light of Jesus opened her eyes! Rabboni! Rabbi! Master! Jesus is always present even if you do not see Him! Just as a blind man can feel the rays of the sun so you can feel Jesus love! The stars shine brightest in the darkness of the night! After Jesus delivered me from death I could only see Him and experience His love! My allegiance and devotion turned to Him! Rabbi! Master! Power over death! Jesus was no longer a gardener to me! The Resurrection took on a whole new meaning! It was no longer just a religious story I heard once a year at church! Do you want the reality of Jesus or just a once a year story? You do not want to wake up on the wrong side of death as the rich man did! Either a Heaven or a Hell? The reality of Christ will one day come to all the living and the dead! Rag Doll Election Cycle?
Remember the 1960’s era song by the Four Season’s? Remember the lyrics? She wore hand-me-downs. They laughed when she came into town. Called her “Rag Doll.” Such a pretty face she should have been dressed in lace. If I could change her sad rags into glad rags I would. My folk’s won’t let me because they say she is no good. I love you just the way you are. Though I love her so I can’t let her know. She is a ‘Rag Doll.” Comment: Every election cycle the politicians drag their rag doll out of the closet! Jesus name gets thrown around like a rag doll. Donald Trump went to church last week! Congregation members said it has been years since they have seen him? Remember when Obama said he was a Christian? After November Jesus will be thrown back under the bed for another four years! There is more facts coming out everyday that Obama is targeting Christians by using government agencies to intimidate those who disagree with his lack of moral convictions in regards to gay marriage and other social issues. His administration is also reading millions of private E-mails and other social media networks. He is probably reading this article but I will speak truth regardless of cost! We are supporting organizations who are taking these unconstitutional acts by the Obama administration to federal court for prosecution. You as a Christian can keep quiet like many did in the 1930’s as Hitler came to absolute power but they found sooner or later Hitler’s SS troops got them!
