Thankyou for the promotion! Are the only Saints in New Orleans? The football team there got put on probation and had to pay huge fines for violations of the National Football League Rules! My friend asked me if I thought he would make it to Heaven? Just wondering is not good! I told him that if he did make it he would be on probation for some time! Notice Paul addressed the congregation as “Saints in Jesus Christ!” Apart from Christ there are no Saints! In Him you are one! So by definition what is a Saint? Is it a marble statue in a church or park? No temptation there! According to the Greek a Saint is one who is set apart or consecrated from a common root! If you and I were branches on the same apple tree we would share a common root! We would draw the same nourishment from the same root for life! If we were cut off from that root we would die! As long as we were attached to the same root we would share the same life! So the life that I have is connected to Christ alone! Apart from Him I can do nothing! If I cut myself off from the Tree of Life I will spiritually die! Is There a Bible in Heaven? Philippians 4:3
There is an answer to this question and it is found in our Bible! Let us start with the word “Gospel.” This word originally meant the reward for good news! Then it became good news! So what good news? That salvation only comes through Jesus Christ! The next word in this passage is the word “names.” This word used here means the character or reputation of a people! It describes the names of people who are saved! These names are on God’s hard drive and He has more capacity to add more names! God’s hard drive is the Book of Life! This book is not just any book! This book is a Book in Heaven and contains the list of those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior! It is the only Book in Heaven! Will the Bible be in Heaven? It will be only in the sense that it will live in the people who are there! The Bible is for those who dwell here on earth! Remember the Bible is the recorded spoken Word of God! What God spoke was written down! If you believe the Bible here on earth then your name will be written down in the Book of Life in Heaven and that Book will be opened at the Judgment Seat of Christ! Remember the Tree of Life in the midst of the Garden? If you reject the Word of God then your name will be blotted out of the Book of Life in Heaven! (Revelation 3:5) I know what you are thinking? What about John 1:1? The word ‘beginning’ used here means at creation! The word “Word” used here is logos or the spoken word! Now back to Philippians! The word “life” used here refers to the spirit and the soul as distinguished from physical life. (Biology). This position is the highest Blessedness of all His creatures! Now let us put things in perspective here! Paul was writing another letter from another prison in Rome and was commending his financial supporters because he could not earn wages while in prison! Paul encouraged them that they would earn the same rewards as co-laborers in Christ! What you do with your Bible is very important here on earth! It will either pardon you or condemn you! There will be no sinners in Heaven on probation! I would encourage believer’s here that when you take God’s recorded spoken words and repeat them yourselves they become very powerful. If you leave your Bible on the night stand to collect dust it will do you no good! Remember Jesus said to go out into all the world and speak or preach the Gospel. Great prophets hear the word of God and then speak those words! One of our present day examples was Tim Clements! He passed away recently but I knew him because he came to our church in Macon Georgia back in the early 1990’s for a Crusade! Tim prophesized in 2007 that a new president would come by the name of Trump! Then in 2013 he gave his first name Donald! These video’s are on YouTube and you can see for yourself! Your Bible is a tape recorder and has recorded God’s Words and when you replay His Word’s and speak them His Power is released to push back the darkness and at the same time your name is recorded in Heaven! Paul warned us that a time would come when some would depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils! So what would one of these signs be? Verse three says forbidding to marry! That is living together outside the sanctity of marriage. Paul said this would be one of the signs of the latter times! The statistics show that the Bible does forecast history! The other statistics this life style produces is out of wedlock births, abortion and mother’s on welfare! When a culture abandons the faith something else takes it’s place! Satan’s war on women is alive and well. Everyone will follow someone! Either God or Satan! By choice and default! The good news is that Christ’s return is soon when we add all the signs together in our Bible! Faith in Christ can save anyone to the point of death! After death your choice is locked in forever! If you believe the teachings of Christ you follow Him and live your life as a conservative! If you do not believe Christ and His teachings you become a liberal and the anti-Christian values they hold! This is what this war is all about! Remember Jesus said I have come to cause divisions! Also to bring life and not death! There will be unity in Heaven and in Hell but not hear! Two Destinies! Genesis 3:1
“Now the hissing creature was more cunning and crafty than any of the created beings in the field God the creator, ruler and judge had made.” Comment: Remember the Jews again murmured against God in Numbers 21:9. The serpent called God a liar! Moses constructed a brass serpent upon a pole for the people to look at after they were bitten by the fiery serpent in judgment by God! Why? God had instructed Moses to do this to save the people! Remember the brass serpent is an image and not the fiery serpent! We were created in the image of God but we are not God! There are religions today such as Islam that make themselves God and decide who should live and who should die! Remember Lucifer was at one time Heaven’s choir leader and highly ranked in Heaven! He is a created being and rebelled against God and was cast out of Heaven down to the earth! His image on a brass pole represented his position and condition before his fall. He was pure and Holy at one time! His pure condition represented by the brass serpent delivered the Jews from same fallen serpent! Any Savior has to be greater than those saved! We cannot be like God unless we are restored to the previous estate of no sin! Jesus has made this possible for us! The wars on planet earth are between the Image of God and the Image of Satan! We have to chose the right side of this war! Adam and Eve had to chose between two tree’s! Today there are still two tree’s in the midst of the garden! One tree looks good to the eyes and the fruit is pleasant but is deceptive and leads to death! The other tree has life in it and healing for the nations and mercy but does not appeal to the carnal nature! Christ was hung on a pole or Cross and took your place in His death and resurrection! He took your punishment for your sin and rebellion! Your image is restored and now you live in the Image of God as first intended at creation! You now live as if you had never sinned! Joshua 24:15
“If it seem evil to reject my authority then make the best choice remembering those who sin hurt other people! Serve either the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites where you dwell now but as for your leader Joshua I declare as for me and those living inside my house we will serve the Lord!” Comment: It is interesting that the Hebrew word for evil is associated with the rejection of God’s authority! It is a choice that leads to the destruction of the sinner and the people around them! The plural word gods used by Joshua refers to idolatry. For those that reject God’s authority they make their own gods! It is exalting self above God! The false gods or idols are substitutes for God that can be controlled by the worshippers! They are puppets on a string! If you have not lived in a culture where idol worship is predominate I can assure you it is a living Hell. An idol can be anything you make it to be! It can be money, sex, fame, evolution, junk science, pleasure, graven images, religion and it is worshipped in place of God! It is self-worship! If you remove God from His throne you will replace Him with something else! The word “House”, used in this passage means those living under your roof! When your children become adult’s and leave home they have to decide if they are going to worship God under their roof! We pray for them! Never give up! My brother-in-law passed on this month! His mother prayed for him to come to Christ all her life and she passed on in 1995. He came to Christ about two years ago! Going After Strange Flesh! Jude 7
“Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” Comment: Strange flesh used here by Jude the brother of Jesus means unnatural homosexual behavior. In the last days of this age Sodom and Gomorrah will be revived! It will climax with the Anti-Christ’s one world government during the 7 year Tribulation period that will close out this age! He will be gay also! He will have no natural affection for women! A real war on women! This 7 year Tribulation period will be the most destructive period in human history! We also believe from scriptures that His Church will be Raptured away just prior to this period in history! Now let us go on and see what Jude says in verse 18. “How that they told you that there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.” It is interesting that the word “last”, comes from a Greek word meaning echo! It denotes the last end of a sound made! It will also be the last sound of the age before the trumpets blow! It concludes a time of the end of this age! The word “time”, used here means the last season of an opportunity! There will come a time in all our lives that there will be no more opportunities to get right with God! Do you as a gay want to be in this part of the end times scenario? Jude mentions the eternal fire of judgment! God reigned down fire on these cities! Political correctness and civil judicial approval did not save them! The popular culture will prepare you for Hell. When I stand before my Christ I will have to give an account! God’s love includes judgment and He took our judgment on the Cross! If no judgment then it would not matter what we do! Then bad choices would have no consequences! Revolution!
Revolution over history have had different motives with different outcomes! The Russian Revolution which brought in socialism and communism took absolute control of the people and their property by the State! The Revolution produced about 20 million casualties! Earlier we had the American Revolution and a few years later the French Revolution. In the American Revolution people migrated from Europe who were suppressed by the Church/State relationship! They wanted religious freedom! The American Church supported the Revolution and separated from England. There were about 8000 casualties in this war. A few years later the French Revolution came along! The French Revolution was a war against the Church/State! The Enlightenment era with Voltaire and other anti-Christian thinkers sprang up all over France! The French Revolution had over one million casualties and concluded with the Napoleon Wars! The Church and the State were never merged again! We also must not forget history in that France was over run by the Muslims in 700 A.D. So the Church and the State came together with the Crusaders to push the Islamists out of France! When any culture is threatened with extinction then the Church and State should join together! Today the battle lines are drawn between globalism and nationalism! Globalism is a quest for a one world government! Nationalism is for State sovereignty. According to our Bible the end of this age will feature a one world government which will last for 7 years known as the Tribulation period! Our last two World Wars were waged in the name of nationalism but they went global. Globalism is an ideology with no borders, socialized medicine, sanctuary cities, illegal immigration, no voter I.D.’s, the UN and the EU. Jesus said to go out into all the world and preach the Gospel. He did not say to go out politically, religiously, militarily to do violence! The Islamists through revolution and their wars over history have spread violence into the earth! By their present wars they have planted refugee’s into the cities of Europe and America! These Islamic plants are reaping havoc around the world! The good news is some of the old empty Christian Cathedrals in Europe are being filled up by Muslim converts! Jesus has given us some signs of the end of the age! However Jesus Himself does not know the time of His second coming! He told us it was in the hands of the Father! Live your life as though he was coming today! Those in Christ will not look to the one world government as a solution except it will usher in Christ’s Millenium! Those in love with the world and not Christ will look to the Anti-Christ as his one world solution! Globalism is a return to the Tower of Babel. Christ was written about thousands of years before He ever showed up here on earth! No human could accomplish this! People have and are sacrificing their lives for Him on the mission fields of this world yet have never seen Him! I witnessed this first hand in India during the three years we were there! Families in Yercaud on that remote mountain who had been Christians for generations would show me the graves of missionaries who had taken the Gospel to their ancestors! The calendar lasted 12 years about as long as Hitler’s rein! An attempt was made to remove all religious influences from the culture! Prominent atheist were behind this effort much like today in America. The French Revolution and the American Revolution were very different with different outcomes! The American Revolution established the free exercise of religion with the trinity of three branches of government with Biblical values woven into our Constitution! The French Revolution was a rebellion to remove all elements of religion from their culture! The French Enlightenment was the darkest hour in French history!
