Communion Service July 30,2017 Genesis 4:4

As we were preparing for Communion Service our Pastor Cope asked us to contemplate what this ordinance in our church meant to each of us? Pastor Cope presented many scriptures out of the Old and New Testaments! As these scriptures cut through my soul I asked myself where is recorded the first body and blood sacrifice in our Bible? From where did the first fountain of blood flow? Abel presented an excellent sacrifice according to the KJV. Some Bible translations say a better offering but to me a weak translation! A sacrifice to God means blood! An offering may not mean blood! Then Cain murdered Abel his brother and his body was broken and bled! Did Abel have more faith than Cain? No! Abel had faith in the right thing! The blood sacrifice of his lamb! Cain’s sacrifice was of the ground and did not remind God of His Son Jesus Christ sacrifice of his body and blood for our sin! We can have faith in the wrong things! Jesus said remember this my body and my blood! Every time we take Communion we are reminded of His love towards us! God had to become flesh for the flesh of men could only sin! Man’s blood continues to be shed in the earth through wars, violence and sin! All the wars in the history of men starting with Cain and Abel could never cure the sin problem! It was also violence that put Jesus on the Cross! Had I been Cain, Adam, Judas, Pilot, Herod or Caesar I would have done the same thing! Abel’s sacrificial lamb reminds me that Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for me on Calvary is the only lasting sacrifice for the sin of everyone who has lived on the earth or will ever live on the earth! Are You a Pilgrim? Hebrews 11:13

“These all died while believing and acting while not receiving the gifts graciously given by God but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them and embraced them publically praising God that they were aliens and foreigners on the earth.” Comment: Are you a Christopher Columbus? Is your faith based upon science, intellect or reason? Columbus said he navigated to the missing continent of his then known world based upon the Bible! When you live by faith you see your final destination not by physical sight but by trusting God’s promises to you! The world says show me the money! I will believe it when I see it! The Christian has just the opposite view of life! I believe it through His Spirit according to His Word and one day I shall see it! Columbus sailed west and no one in that day would dare do that! Suicide! He was navigating according to the Word of God! If you trust the Bible as Columbus did and those in the Hall of Faith then you will build God’s Kingdom while down here on earth and you will help prepare the earth for Christ’s return! Christian Responsibility! 1 Timothy 5:8 Greek Translation

“If any (Not) take thought and care beforehand for your immediate household and those belonging to the church which is the household of God then he is worse than one who does not believe in the Gospel of Christ.” Comment: The Greek word “Oikeis”, represents the phrase “those of his own household.” However this Greek word has a compound meaning! It includes those believers in the church or your congregation! The money received into any church organization is to be used to spread the Gospel and is also to be plowed back into helping the hurting within your own congregation! The money from organizations is not to be used to buy jet airplanes, big mansions, luxury cars and boats! It is to be used to help widows and orphans! The money should not be used to plaster your name on the front of a building! What has happened to the church since the 1930’s is the State has assumed the responsibilities of the church and we have ended up with a choking 20 Trillion dollar budget deficit! If we do the right thing with God’s resources then we will not be worse than the unbeliever! An unbeliever has an excuse in that he is ignorant of the scriptures! Hebrews 11:1 Greek Translation

“To believe and act is the foundation for your expectation and desire that you have not seen yet.” Comment: We believe and act on what we trust! If we put our faith in the wrong things or people sin, guilt and fear will control us! A.B. Evans said this, “Faith is not a sense, nor sight, nor reason; but faith is taking God at His Word!” The words of people can be deceptive! Remember Satan told Eve surely God has not said this? Go ahead and eat this delicious looking fruit! There is only one of two voices we will hear and obey! Either God or Satan! All of us first listened to the voice of Satan! We were deceived like Adam and Eve! Sin, guilt and fear was the outcome! Sin was the outcome yet we still have an opportunity to listen and obey the voice of God! It is never too late! Remember the thief on the Cross? If you believe and act upon the Word of God through His Son Jesus Christ and confess your sin you will enter a new day being born again and experience God’s love! No longer in bondage to sin but free to serve God and love others! The choice is yours to make but it is a matter of life and death! Subterranean Retreat!

It sounds like a termite colony? The word is describing a time share property that has a lot of rooms, accommodations and permanent guests! It is a place where people are in agreement with each other! No debates about good and evil! However there is a lot of buyers remorse there! It is also described as the place of the dead! It is the Hebrew word “Shehole” (hole) from where we get our English word ‘Hell.” There are 31 verses in the Old Testament and 22 verses in the New Testament on this word. Funny of the Hebrew description is a subterranean retreat! It is interesting in the Greek of the New Testament there are four different words used! Will discuss later. So why bring this up? Every Pastor that prepares any sermon must consider two things! What are we saved from and what are we saved for? Most of the early fire and brimstone sermons of early America are gone? Heaven is not talked about much so what is left? The here and now! However the here and now is temporal! Heaven does begin here on earth after we receive Jesus Christ as Savior! Jesus talked more about the Kingdom of God than any other topic! If the reality of Heaven and Hell are not taught from the pulpit then  people have a hard time understanding why they need to be saved? Saved from what and for what? James and Hamsa Sasse. Is Jesus God? Philippians 2:6-8

Jesus while He was here on earth positively laid claim to Deity is clear from the fact that the Jews reproached Him with two accusations: first. that He place God on par with Himself—and this they called blasphemy, secondly, that He made Himself God—and in this they thought they recognized the false prophet, although both idea’s merged together in John 10:30-39. Remember our Lord Jesus Christ being the Son of God did not and could not claim to be the Father but He did claim to be God! Even a human cannot claim to be his father but can claim to be a human being. A claim to the sameness of nature of personality in like manner is consistent and intelligible in the case of Divine Sonship of the Son of God but the sameness of personality would be contradictory! But there is a similarity of persons that it would be true that those who saw the Son have seen the Father! Also remember that the Trinity is one Spirit and character and not many personalities! Christ’s distinction had everything to do with His mission here on earth as Redeemer of mankind! Christ is not half man and half God! He is wholly man and wholly God! Jesus prayed because He is a man! God does not pray! God answers prayers through His Son Jesus Christ! If God were to pray who would He pray to? Himself? What is Jesus doing in Heaven right now? He is interceding for the Saints in prayer to the Father! Jesus still has a human nature in Heaven and so will we! We will not be floating on a cloud as a bodiless Spirit! You mean I get stuck with my ugly face for eternity? Do not jump over the cliff yet! Our human bodies are created by God! Male and female! Sin has marred us! God has a fix for our sin through Jesus where death no longer rules us! Your God given identity will not change! Jesus is a man in Heaven as He was on earth! Mary the mother of Jesus is still a female right now in Heaven! You will be much greater in Heaven because sin will no longer influence your decisions! You will live more like you are in Heaven while on earth because Jesus has redeemed you through His Blood! Are You a Remnant? Romans 9:29

Paul was quoting the Old Testament here in Isaiah 1:9. Jesus quoted the Old Testament a lot! In Romans here Paul uses the word Sabaoth! This word means the armies of Heaven! Remember the war angel Michael? They are still employed by God! Isaiah uses the word remnant while Paul uses the word seed. The Hebrew word for our English word remnant means a people who survived an onslaught of an enemy! They are simply survivors! A seed is also a survivor in the sense that it was not consumed but lived to produce more fruit! So what in the world are we surviving from? I am glad you asked! God’s Judgment due to our sin! Love cannot exist without judgment! If God winked at sin and looked the other way there would be no need for Salvation! The earth would just be consumed in wickedness! We are all who are in Christ Jesus survivors from judgment! Whether it be Noah and his family or Joseph in Egypt or Lot and his family! There are only survivors in Heaven! It is interesting that the word Lord used in Romans refers to God using His authority for good! Lucifer the fallen angel had authority in Heaven but he used it for evil and was cast out of Heaven! How do you use the authority you have? For good or evil? Israel is a survivor today as it exists as a State under threats from all around her! In the last battle on earth Armageddon Israel will be surrounded by Gentile armies as they try to destroy her! God will dispatch His armies and consume them! No survivors! Do you want to be a survivor or remnant? Then you need a Savior! He is a Jew and His name is Jesus Christ! Remember according to the Covenant if God cannot be faithful to Israel He cannot be faithful to you! The Covenant promises include the Jews and the Gentiles! How Did The Apostle John Decrease? John 3:30

John was arrested in Ephesus when his enemies threw him into a pot of boiling oil. However John was miraculously delivered from death! The authorities then sentenced him to a slave labor camp in the marble mines of Patmos! On this island on the Aegean Sea John under impossible odds had a vision of Jesus Christ and wrote the Prophetic Book of Revelation! John years later was freed due to his old age and returned to Ephesus in now modern day Turkey. He died an old man sometime after 98 A.D. He was the only Apostle to die peacefully! Comment: If we will decrease Jesus will increase! Most 21st Century Christians think of decreasing as missing a meal now and then or even a whole day! When you find yourself in a pot of boiling oil up to your neck you could easily think I am having a bad day! Especially when the local natives are cutting up vegetables and putting them in your pot! To be sentenced to a slave labor camp on a remote island under Roman guards in a stone quarry might cause you to think you are having another bad day? Holy Month Final Score! 2017

The month of Ramadan is finally over so what is the score card for Islam’s Holiest month? Terrorist Attacks: 174. Kills: 1545. It could have been a Holy month for some of the victims who have gone to Heaven! Islam can only threaten Christians with Heaven! The world events we see everyday are prophetic according to our Bible! The False Prophet or one world religious ruler who co-reigns with the Anti-Christ during the 7 year Tribulation period will be a Muslim! Remember we have the Rapture of the Church just prior to the Tribulation period! So if the Christians are raptured who will be the new targets of the one world regime? They will be the new Christians and Jews who get saved during this period! Running neck and neck with the promotion of Islam is the promotion of gays! Remember the Anti-Christ will be a Jew and a homosexual! Our Bible says he will have no natural affection for women! How can the Jews and the gays and the Muslims have a marriage together to run the world for 7years? Jesus is a Jew and His rival is a Jew! The Quran verse against gays cited by Mohammad was taken from our Bible! The Quran was written when our Bible had been around for about 700 years! What Mohammad did was insert some Biblical scriptures between his ranting revelations and that is why the Quran contradicts itself! The verse he borrowed is about Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah. Remember what Paul said in Romans 9:29 ? “And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma and been made like Gomorrah.” Islam and the gay Sodomy system will eventually merge as one! They are already merging! Same sex intercourse is already legalized in 20 Muslim majority countries! They are; Albania, Azerbajan, Bahrain, Bosnia, Herzogovina, Burkina Faso, Chad, Djibouti, Guinea-Bissau, Lebanon, Tunisia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgzstan, Mali, Niger, Tajikistan, Turkey, West Bank (Palestine), Indonesia (Except Acehan and South Sumatra), and Northern Cyprus. Many of these countries have now legalized same sex marriage! So now do you understand why a Colorado baker who will not bake a cake for gay marriage gets death threats everyday? Do you see why most Pastors are mute never to talk about how the Bible opposes homosexual lifestyles? The lack of resistance by the Church will help accelerate these end time events! I believe the Islamists will be the military arm of the one world government to enforce violence against those that support Biblical values!
