Christmas for Dummies! Luke 2:11

The shepherds got the hell scared out of them when the angel appeared to them in the middle of the night on a lonely hillside while tending their sheep! When the Holy smoke cleared out of their campsite from the lightening bolts they bowed their faces to the ground expecting to be incinerated! The sheep headed for the hills. The laser light show was on full display! All bowel constipation disorders were miraculously healed! The angel told them to chill out! You cool cats need to cool down! Relax! Good news guys! This is not the end of the world! Their hopes were somewhat dashed! I want you guys to hit the trail back to Bethlehem! There is a new guy just born in Bethlehem! His first name is Jesus and his last name is Christ! I have heard you use his name sometimes when you talk to your sheep! This is the real deal dudes! You sheep dogs are highly favored this night! None of the smart people in your neighborhood know about this! He is born to you this night as your SAVIOR! He will save you from yourselves! He is your SAVIOR at his birth, at the Cross, at the resurrection, at his ascension and when he comes back to earth the second time! He will be your SAVIOR forever! He will send you the Holy Ghost! You boys look puzzled? You got too many wooly balls in your heads! Now get packing for Bethlehem and see your new born King! Hey guys! Merry Christmas!

What did Bethlehem do for you? Isaiah 25:7-9

Verse 7. And I will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people and the vail that is spread over the nations. Verse 8. He will swallow up death in victory and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth for the Lord hath spoken. Verse 9. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us; this is the Lord, we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. Comment: The Hebrew word used here in verse 9 for salvation means a deliverance from outside of yourself! It comes from outside of your circumstances! It has nothing to do with your efforts! Touched by an Angel? 2 Peter 2:4

What do we know about angels? From our Bible we know that there are 3 basic groups of angels. Gabriel (messenger angels), Michael (war angels), Lucifer (praise angel), who became Satan! We know that angels are created beings just like humans! We know we are not to worship angels. We know we were created just a little lower than the angels. We know Lucifer was the disobedient angel that rebelled against God and 1/3 of these angels were cast out of Heaven down to earth! We know angels can dwell in flesh. We know Christ was not a created being but was pre-existent and always was is and forever will be! What has all this to do with Christmas? A lot! Everything! Did you ever notice 1/3 of the earth’s population is Christian! One third of the disobedient angels were cast down out of Heaven to earth! Yet 1/3 of the earth’s population has been redeemed! We know that Satan can never be redeemed! However Satan dwelling in flesh or humans is his effort to destroy them! Remember Jesus has authority over demons and cast them out of people! At the mention of His name demons tremble! Jesus God’s Son incarnated into the earth was God’s plan to defeat Satan! Those that reject Christ continue to live under the control of Satan! The Christmas story is a lot bigger than tinsel, gifts and food! It is all about the defeat of the fallen angel in your life and the deliverance of your soul from the same plight that awaits Satan! The small baby in Bethlehem is God’s plan to deliver us from evil. Merry Christmas! Praise God and Christ for our praise replaces the praise in Heaven lost by Lucifer’s removal from Heaven! Earthquakes and Air! Matthew 8:24

“And behold there arose a great tempest in the sea, inasmuch that the ship was covered with the waves; but He was asleep.” The Greek word “seismos”, used for tempest can either mean an earthquake or a gale of wind. Are these events related? Could this have been a tsunami? Regardless Jesus used the air or His breath to command the storm to cease! Let us go back to some other voices from the past! From the lifetime of Greek Philosopher Anaxagoras in the 5th Century B.C. to the 14th Century A.D. believed that earthquakes were attributed to air(vapors) in the cavities of the earth! The Greek Philosopher Democritus (460-371 B.C,) blamed water in the ground for earthquakes! He did not know anything about fracking! Also remember the earth in history was completely flooded in water for months! Noah’s flood! What would that do to the earth’s crust soaking and submerged for months? Perhaps this is why the Greek word became associated with earthquakes, air and water? We know earthquakes can cause floods, fires, volcanos and elevate the earth’s temperature! Jesus predicted an increase of earthquakes before His second coming! Could this increase cause global warming? An earthquake of 8.6 in magnitude releases the same amount of energy as ten thousand atomic bombs the size used in WWII. Remember the earthquake when Jesus died on the Cross? The graves were opened and many other things happened! When Jesus stopped breathing (air) the quake occurred! Let us look at Revelation 16:17-18. Chapter 16 covers the seven vial judgments released upon the earth! Notice the seventh angel poured out his vial out into the air! Then God spoke it is done or finished and then the largest earthquake ever recorded in history took place! Jesus said in Luke 21:11, “there shall be earthquakes in diverse places and great signs from Heaven.” Remember Paul and Silas in prison? Acts 16:25-26. Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God! Your praises and prayers involve breath or air! Suddenly an earthquake came and freed them from prison! God can use a supernatural event to save you or destroy you! Without breath we die! God breathed into man the breath of life! Creation involved air as God spoke it into existence! When a baby is born it is slapped on the bottom to get it to breath! When opposing winds collide they form cyclones or a tornado! Opposing words between nations can cause a war! Words are important because they can either pollute the air or fragrance it! Remember when the Holy Spirit came as Jesus had promised? The Holy Spirit came upon the disciples as a mighty rushing wind! We can repeat Jesus words with our breath or we can speak our own words in destruction! Use the breath God gave you to praise Him! Your life and others will be changed! James and Hamsa Sasse. Lazarus Sleepeth! John 11:11 Greek Translation

The Greek word “Koimao” used here for sleep means deceased or dead! Jesus goes on in a later verse to emphasize that Lazarus is dead! There is another Greek word used for sleep in the New Testament which is “Katheudo.” This word means to lie down and rest but was not used in this passage of scripture. What may be of interest to you is this same Greek word used for sleep which means deceased or dead is the same word used in Acts 12:6. Peter was sleeping between two soldiers in chains! Verse 7; The Angel of the Lord came upon him and light shone in the prison and smote Peter on the side and raised him up, saying arise up! His chains fell off! Herod had Peter beaten badly! By definition of the word used Peter could have been deceased lying between the two soldiers! Peter may have been raised from the dead! The angel was probably Jesus Himself! Adopted Parrot!

Jack was a retired Naval Officer who had a parrot for over 20 years! His name was Pirate and he even took him aboard ship on some of his deployments! The sailors would give him treats and teach him new words over the years. Pirate learned some really bad words but the crew would just laugh at his nasty vocabulary! Jack passed on after some time and left his estate to his cousin William. William did not know what to do with Pirate? He filled his house with horrible words that would make a sailor blush! William invited his aunt over for dinner one Sunday afternoon. They sat down at the table and Pirate started off! Hey prostitute! Hey prostitute! Time to go to bed! Past your bed time! Ha Ha Ha! So William put a blanket over his cage but Pirate responded, “Hey baby i know you are in here somewhere! I will find you!” William went to his Pastor to ask for advice! Pastor Luke advised William talk to another member of the congregation who had a lady parrot. Mrs. Boatwright was a retired widow who had a sweet parrot named Angel. Angel was quiet, respectful and even sang Mrs. Boatwright to sleep at night! She even taught Angel to pray! Mrs. Boatwright asked William to bring his parrot over and place him in the cage with Angel and her goodness would rub off on Pirate! Pirate was put in the cage with Angel and immediately Pirate jumped up into her swing and snuggled next to Angel and said, “How about a kiss baby!” Angel replied, “WOW, Finally an answer to prayer! Angel in Disguise!

The Devil was an angel, and that have become apostate, he induced as many angels as possible to fall away with himself, and these at the present time are called his angels! Origin (185-254 A.D.) Comment: The Bible says 1/3 of the angels were cast out of Heaven! The Bible also makes it clear they cannot be redeemed! This has to be an unpardonable sin! So how serious is it when an ideology, religion or institution whether government or private leads people away from Christ? If you get a following to lead people away from Christ whether secular, political or any other how serious is it? To lead a child away from Christ? Very serious and you will have an eternity in Hell tormented to think about your decision! Your followers will also hate you as they also torment you for their plight! James and Hamsa Sasse. Angel of Peace?

The Pope recently called Palestinian leader Abbas an angel of peace? Which angel was the Pope talking about? Is it Michael, Gabriel or Lucifer? Last year Abbas praised the murder of a Rabbi saying the killer would go to Paradise as a martyr? This event and many others support scripture and my belief that the one world religious ruler or the false prophet that will rule from Rome will be a Muslim! The Anti-Christ who will simultaneously rule from Israel will be a Jew and a gay! How does a Jew hater and a Jew marry together and rule the earth? ISIS has two main objectives. Take down Saudi Arabia and take over Rome! They know Bible prophecy better than most Christians! The cut off of oil from Saudi Arabia to America will cause gasoline to go to $10.00 dollars per gallon and cause an economic collapse! The takeover of Rome by Islam will be even more catastrophic! Two billion Catholics will have to confess to Islam, fight or die? Notice the worldwide endorsement of gays! Is all this just another bump in the road or are we at the close of Bible prophecy? With Obama in office the bad guy’s are making their moves! Two more years with Obama will be enough time for these things to come to pass! So when is the rapture of His Church? Soon! Watch the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage soon to be decided! It will probably be a 5-4 decision! If gay’s win this decision Pastor’s across America will be forced to perform gay marriages and deny their Faith or refuse and go to jail! In these last days God is sorting out his true followers!
