From USGS DataBase 2021: The number of earthquakes is increasing. In the first 65 days of 1921, exactly one century ago only 7 major quakes magnitude 6 or higher were recorded globally. In the same period last year, a total of 24 major quakes, magnitude 6 or higher were recorded around the globe. Back in 2019, just 20 major quakes had been reported up to March the 6th, just 50 percent of this year’s total. Commentary: So is the Green New Deal going to save us? What political party can stop an earthquake? It seems they cannot stop a plague either! The 1918 pandemic here in America killed 675 thousand people! A hundred years later we are at over 581 thousand Americans dead from the Coronavirus! We are not out of the woods on this one either as new strains develop! So where is the science? We could easily exceed the death rate here in America compared to the 1918 pandemic! Where has one hundred years of science taken us? This is another reason Jesus must come back and save us! Man cannot fix himself! History shows us this! Have you taken the Jesus vaccine? He will inoculate you against death for he will raise you from the dead! Some to eternal life and some to eternal judgment! What scientist can raise you from the dead? Follow the science? It will lead you to the grave yard! Follow Jesus! He conquered death for you! Earthquakes and Air! Matthew 8:24
“And behold there arose a great tempest in the sea, inasmuch that the ship was covered with the waves; but He was asleep.” The Greek word “seismos”, used for tempest can either mean an earthquake or a gale of wind. Are these events related? Could this have been a tsunami? Regardless Jesus used the air or His breath to command the storm to cease! Let us go back to some other voices from the past! From the lifetime of Greek Philosopher Anaxagoras in the 5th Century B.C. to the 14th Century A.D. believed that earthquakes were attributed to air(vapors) in the cavities of the earth! The Greek Philosopher Democritus (460-371 B.C,) blamed water in the ground for earthquakes! He did not know anything about fracking! Also remember the earth in history was completely flooded in water for months! Noah’s flood! What would that do to the earth’s crust soaking and submerged for months? Perhaps this is why the Greek word became associated with earthquakes, air and water? We know earthquakes can cause floods, fires, volcanos and elevate the earth’s temperature! Jesus predicted an increase of earthquakes before His second coming! Could this increase cause global warming? An earthquake of 8.6 in magnitude releases the same amount of energy as ten thousand atomic bombs the size used in WWII. Remember the earthquake when Jesus died on the Cross? The graves were opened and many other things happened! When Jesus stopped breathing (air) the quake occurred! Let us look at Revelation 16:17-18. Chapter 16 covers the seven vial judgments released upon the earth! Notice the seventh angel poured out his vial out into the air! Then God spoke it is done or finished and then the largest earthquake ever recorded in history took place! Jesus said in Luke 21:11, “there shall be earthquakes in diverse places and great signs from Heaven.” Remember Paul and Silas in prison? Acts 16:25-26. Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God! Your praises and prayers involve breath or air! Suddenly an earthquake came and freed them from prison! God can use a supernatural event to save you or destroy you! Without breath we die! God breathed into man the breath of life! Creation involved air as God spoke it into existence! When a baby is born it is slapped on the bottom to get it to breath! When opposing winds collide they form cyclones or a tornado! Opposing words between nations can cause a war! Words are important because they can either pollute the air or fragrance it! Remember when the Holy Spirit came as Jesus had promised? The Holy Spirit came upon the disciples as a mighty rushing wind! We can repeat Jesus words with our breath or we can speak our own words in destruction! Use the breath God gave you to praise Him! Your life and others will be changed! James and Hamsa Sasse. Signs of the End! Matthew 24:7 Earthquakes
First our condolences to the families of Nepal in their great loss of life! God does not cause earthquakes! God does not cause physical death! Man’s rebellion and sin against God is responsible! But God has promised to raise us from the dead! According to the Bible there are many signs on the earth and in the heavens in the last days before Christ’s return that will be present. Here is a brief summary: 1. Increase of knowledge 2. Government ability to enforce the Mark (One world government) 3. Man of Sin revealed 4. Violence and sexual immorality 5. Rise of spiritualism 6. Massive animal deaths 7. Natural disasters 8. Unsealed prophecy 9. False Christ’s and prophets 10. World pushing for peace 11. War 12. Famines 13. Christians being killed 14. Increase in Sin 15. Christians departing from the truth 16. God destroys those who destroy the earth 17. The Gospel preached into all the earth. There are many scriptures that support these signs! Most all the signs are on us today! I want to talk about natural disasters today. There has been a 200 percent increase in natural disasters since 1979. Large earthquakes with a value of 5 or higher have doubled in 2014 compared to each year since 1979. You can see by viewing USGS stats page. As of February 22, 2015 there are around 3100 earthquakes happening every month! Remember Jesus on the Cross at the 9th hour when He gave up His Spirit in death? The earth was covered in darkness and then a great earthquake! The vale in the Jewish Temple was rent in two and the graves were opened and people were raised out of their graves and brought to life! This particular earthquake did not kill people but raised people from the dead! This is historical evidence that those who trust in Christ will be raised up! Remember that all will be raised from the dead! Some to everlasting life and some to judgment! Why does the earth quake? It longs for redemption! What you do with Christ will determine your outcome! End of the World? Matthew Chapter 24!
About 2000 years ago Jesus disciples asked Him the signs of the end of the age? I suppose we are all curious as His disciples were? Jesus summed it up this way; 1. Many false Christ’s would come. 2. Wars and rumours of wars but end not yet. 3. Famines, pestilences,earthquakes in diverse places. 4. You shall be hated and killed of all nations for my name’s sake. 5. Many shall betray one another and hate one another. 6. Many false prophets shall arise and deceive many. 7. Iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold. 8. He that shall edure to the end shall be saved. 9. This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then the end shall come! Comments; We have little control or no control over the first 8 events! However the last event number nine we as Christian’s can all participate in!
