Isaiah 51:11 Hebrew Translation: “Therefore the redeemed, the ransomed, the rescued, these set free from slavery, these severed from sin, those that only God can liberate, the transferred of ownership from the first born that were slaughtered, the redeemed of the Lord shall return to Jehovah from their idol’s. They shall return to their point of departure as God reversed the sun dial for the Jews to win the battle. They shall come singing to Zion and everlasting joy that is perpetual without end, that continues without change, that is past, present and future, that is eternity without end and what is hidden and concealed from the unbeliever’s. This joy shall remain upon their Head. They Israel shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” Comment: If God cannot be faithful to Israel He will never be faithful to you! If He breaks His covenant with Israel no covenant will stand for you! What stood out to me in this passage is the reference to the slaughter of the first born of Egypt that was the ransomed paid to deliver the Jews from their enemies! Also Egypt turned all their gold over to the Jews! The sacrifice of life and treasure for redemption! Likewise God slaughtered His only Son Jesus Christ for the redemption of the Jews and the Gentiles! Jesus also sacrificed all treasure and became poor for your prosperity! What did Bethlehem do for you? Isaiah 25:7-9
Verse 7. And I will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people and the vail that is spread over the nations. Verse 8. He will swallow up death in victory and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth for the Lord hath spoken. Verse 9. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us; this is the Lord, we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. Comment: The Hebrew word used here in verse 9 for salvation means a deliverance from outside of yourself! It comes from outside of your circumstances! It has nothing to do with your efforts! Are NFL Players Jehovah Witnesses?
Jehovah Witnesses are conscientious objectors refusing military service and refuse to salute our National Flag! They refuse blood transfusions! They do not celebrate Christmas, Easter and birthdays! They do not believe in the immortality of the soul. They believe there is no Hell. They believe the 144 thousand in the Book of Revelation are the only ones going to Heaven! They believe the last days began in 1914. They believe all present day religions except them will be destroyed by the United Nations! They believe Armageddon will only begin when they are attacked! They believe Jesus Christ began his rule in Heaven in 1917. They distribute Watch Tower Magazines and Awake Magazines going door to door. Comment: They are polite people and come to our neighborhood knocking on doors once a month. I question them about their Faith! I share with them that their organization, Pastor, denomination, doctrines and elders cannot save them! I tell them only Jesus Christ can save you from your sin! They look at me puzzled? I share with them only Jesus Christ can save them from eternal separation from God and eternal Judgment! No response or reply? Can you name His name from your lips? Jesus Christ the Son of the living God! They just walk away turning their backs on the Savior? Salvation! Isaiah 12:2 (700 B.C.)
Hebrew Translation; “Behold the God of Holiness, compassion, might, power, strength is my Salvation! His victory has delivered me from outside of myself! In His Salvation I find safety, comfort and rescue from emergencies, enemies, natural disasters, calamities, plagues and sickness! I will trust Him with confidence and security and will not doubt, quake, tremble or be cautious! Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; He has come to pass and existed for my Salvation! Goliath Attends Rock Concert! 1 Samuel 17:
The name Goliath is a verb meaning to uncover, remove or go into exile! It means to expose. The name does not mean giant so don’t name your kid Goliath! Whether to expose Israel’s weakness or Goliath’s false gods? Goliath cursed David in the name of his gods. Notice gods is plural. He was an idol worshiper! How can I please all the gods? If I please one will I offend the others? Will I anger some of my gods? Superstition follows this belief system! Idol’s are usually made of stone or wood. They are man made carved images. They represent the gods men make! They are made in the image of men! Man making God! David replied to Goliath by saying, “The battle belongs to the Lord!” The name is singular! The name Lord means the self-existent one! It is the name Jehovah the God of Israel. Notice David took five smooth stones out of the brook. Why five? Goliath had four brothers who were also giants! They were later slain in battles but not by David. No images were carved on these stones by men! You might say Goliath’s name was on one of these five stones! These stones in the brook were formed by water and the creator God! The stones Goliath carved his image on were defeated by the stone God created! Sin is an image breaker! Islam is founded on Idol worship! Mecca is known as the place of the black stone. There were 360 idol’s in Mecca so they chose their best idol and named him Allah! The Jews were not Idol worshipers however when they did fall into this practice they were exiled by God! They were not exiled by a physical Goliath but were exiled by the spiritual Goliath! Koran and the Bible the Same?
According to Pope Francis they are? The spiritual leader of the Catholic world addressed his followers stressing the importance of religious tolerance! The smiling Pope Francis told his Vatican guests that the Koran and the spiritual teachings contained therein, are just as valid as the Holy Bible! Jesus Christ, Jehovah and Allah are all means employed to describe an entity that is distinctly the same all over the world! He went on to say together we can bring in an age of peace. There is a God but His Name is not Allah ! (Lesson 2)
Although “Allah” has become known as the proper name for the Muslim god, Allah is not a name, but a desciptor that means literally, “the god”. All pagan cultures have these generic terms that refer to their ‘top god’ as ‘the god’. In comparison to the perfect monotheism of Judaism and Christianity. “Allah” was originally no more a proper name for the Muslim God, than for the Hebrew ‘elohim'(god) or Greek “theos” (god) are proper names of the one true God of the Bible. “Jehovah” is the only revealed proper name for “Elohim” of the old testament(Exodus3:13;6:3) and “Jesus” is the only revealed proper name of “Theos” in the New Testament. (Acts4:12) Islam has no proper name for their god, but merely transformed, by universal use and confusion, the generic Allah into a proper name. So although today, Muslims use “Allah” as a proper name, it was never used this way originally. Allah, therefore is equivalent to “elohim” and “ho theos” but not “Jehovah” or “Jesus”. Allah is not the name of the nameless Muslim God. However Muslims will claim that Allah is the name of God that corresponds to Jehovah. Both the Father and the Son are called “ho theos”(The God). Jesus is called “The God” many times in the New Testament: John 20:28; Hebrews 1:8. An important conclusion from this, is that the mere fact that “Allah” is equivalent to “elohim” and “ho theos” does not mean they are directly corresponded. It certainly does not prove that Muslim’s worship the same God as Christians. If this correspondence proved the Muslim god was the same as the Christian God, then because pagan religions also have generics that correspond to “the god” (Allah), this correspondence would also prove that Allah is the same god as the Buddhist god, for Buddhists also refer to their god as “the god”. Conclusion; I do not describe my automobile to you as, “The Car”. My car has a personal name such as Ford, Chevy, Honda, Toyota and the desription by a model such as Focus,Civic,Camry, ect. My daughter has a Hyundai and has named him Henry! Why? We are all created in the Image of God and we want a personal relationship with Him! God has a personal name and His name is Jesus Christ meaning the , “Annointed Saviour”. The God/Man Christ came to earth and put boots on the ground for you and me!
