Thoughts about the Star!

This star is not an astronomical object! The star appeared at the moment of Jesus birth. It was visible to the wise men of Babylon. If they saw the star over Israel, it would indicate it was not astronomical because stars do not rise in the west! They rise in the east. If it rose in the east it was very special because star gazers like these wise men would not have difficulty recognizing the planet Venus! Traditional images show the wise men traveling over the desert following a star. However Matthew 2 does not say they followed a star to Israel. In fact, it would appear, from their reaction, that the star newly reappeared in Matthew 2:9. How could a star go before the wise men? Bethlehem is to the south of Jerusalem! Stars do not move south. They move west. Stars do not settle over houses. The Greek word for star (Aster), implies something strewn! What could it be? What could it be that moves easily from west to east appearing as strewn light? A pillar of fire would be a good example! Remember the Shechinah Glory of light that moved with the Tabernacle representing the presence of God? This light could have been interpreted as a star! It is believed the wise men reached Bethlehem about 2 years after Jesus birth. That is why Herod ordered the murder of the children 2 years and younger! Source: CreationToday.org   Comment: Point here is you cannot explain this star or light naturally! It was supernatural. Very seldom does God oppose his creation! Only to deliver his people! He turned the sun and time back for Joshua to win the battle! He opened the Red Sea for Moses and drowned the pursuing army with the same sea! Mary bore Jesus yet being a virgin! Jesus raised the dead and has promised to raise those who believe and trust him! Jesus himself was raised from the dead! Peter at midnight was delivered from the prison! Do I believe in miracles! Absolutely! Jesus delivered me off my death bed some 45 years ago! Is it a stretch to believe God at his word? It is a stretch not to! God who created all this can change anything or everything at his will! He transformed me from sin to righteousness with his atoning blood! Was it a star? All things are possible with God! He can create anyone he wants to! He can create anything he wants to at anytime at any place! He came to Bethlehem so he could prepare a place for you in Heaven! Why not follow Jesus to Heaven! Trump Legacy! Isaiah 59:19

Hebrew Translation: “So shall they have emotional and intellectual fear of harm which motivates them to have reverence and formal worship with Godly living from the west and his honor, majesty, abundance and wealth from the from the rising of the sun (east). When the enemy shall come in like a flood the Lord shall lift up a standard against him (Satan). Comment: The Trump legacy will be a period of history where prosperity, power, peace will reign over the world and America will return to her power and majesty as leader of the free world! Trump will be re-elected in 2020 as President and all the efforts of the enemy to de-throne him will fail! Keeping or Polluting the Sabbath? Isaiah 56:2

Comment: What is my attitude about keeping the Sabbath the 4th Commandment of God? If I were to keep the Sabbath I would guard it like a gardener building a hedge around his garden! I would guard it as a shepherd would protect his flock from the wolves! Why is the Sabbath important to God? It is the seventh day of the week! Remember after God finished creating the world for six days he rested from his labor on the seventh day! It was the climax of his creation! On the Sabbath you cease from your work and reflect on the wonderful things God has worked out for you! You rest in his supply! You relax trusting God rather than your own works! So how would I pollute the Sabbath? You would just make it another common work day! It would be violence against God’s established law! I would defile, pollute and desecrate a Holy God! I would ignore him and his Blessings and trust in my own works! Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath! Remember the Jewish religious leaders got on Jesus for healing on the Sabbath! Jesus was raised from the dead on the Sabbath! That is why we worship on Sunday! He rested from his work on the Cross! If God needs rest who are we? Are we greater than God? Remember Lucifer thought he was greater than God! What happened to humanity? Death, destruction, war, disease, sickness and famines! Do you want to worship death or life? Self-worship is worshiping death! Worship life by honoring God and his Sabbath and creator of life who has also promised to raise you from the dead both now and forever! Fear or Faith? Isaiah 51:12

Hebrew Translation: “Even I, am he that has compassion on you. I have repented that I have made man and have changed my heart and attitude to console you. You can take a deep breath of relief. Why should you fear man when you have reverence for me? Man’s weakness of the flesh shall lead to his death. His descendants are made as the grass that will perish.” Comment: The fear of man is what leads to all wars! The fear of death is what leads men to cause the death of others! Religions are formed out of the fear of death! Islam is a prime example! Martyrdom they believe is their only way to God? So suicide is their means to salvation! Faith is just the opposite of fear! God has made the way for our salvation not by any effort of mortal men! The God/Man Christ God’s only Son provided the sacrifice for our redemption! It is not attained by my own efforts but by God’s grace! So my future is not dependent on me but on what God has already done for me! If we will rest in this promise peace will follow! Jesus has promised to those that trust in him he will raise from the dead! Not to cause death but to deliver us from it! Sin is our real enemy with death it’s consequence! To defeat our last enemy death is what God has done for us! If you cannot get excited about this truth then nothing will excite you! Raise the Age of Gun Ownership?

From 18 to 21 years old? Most of these high school shooters are under the age of 18! If a young man or woman is 18 and can go into the military and risk their life for their country why should they be denied the right to purchase a weapon! Should we wait until they are 21 years old before they can join our military services? If that would have happened during WWII we would have lost the war! Many young people joined when they were 17 including President George Bush Senior! Had these men and women had to have waited until they were 21 we would all be speaking German and Japanese right now! This is all barking up the wrong tree! Why not reinstate the 10 Commandments back into our public schools? How about one Commandment? Thou shall not kill. The vacuum left by abandonment of Religious education is being replaced with secular education devoid of respect for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! Hall of Faith! Hebrews Chapter 11

Can you place your name in with those in the Hall of Faith as listed in Hebrews Chapter 11? How do you get there? So what is Faith? Faith is a relationship with God that causes one to be persuaded to trust and believe in the confidence of Divine Truth that produces good works! Faith in a false god will produce destructive works! Islam is probably our best example but atheism with Darwinism ranks right up there with Islam! A Faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ leads to the miracles described in Chapter 11. Faith in Christ makes one confident and free from guilt, doubt and fear! Faith in a false god leads to guilt, fear and death! You have to trust in the one greater than yourself! You cannot save yourself! To trust in yourself is sin! God and His Christ is the gold standard for Faith because there is no sin in them and they have power over death, hell and the grave! Is Life Fair? Habakkuk 1:5

Habakkuk was puzzled? He wrestled with God! He could not connect the dots? Why would a more wicked nation punish Israel? Why do the righteous suffer with the wicked? Babylon was giving their gods credit for the Jewish captivity when Habakkuk knew better! The best example i could give Habakkuk about the righteous suffering with the wicked happened about 600 years later in history! Jesus God’s only Son went to the Cross on Calvary outside the city gates of Jerusalem to suffer for the sin of the whole world including you and me! He was perfect without sin yet paid the price for our sin? Paul echoed the same exact words Habakkuk did in Acts 13:41. Paul tried to warn the Jews of the danger to their soul and to Israel to reject the Messiah! Remember the Book of Acts was written between 80-90 A.D. This was 10 to 20 years after the Jewish Roman War and the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D. Also remember Jesus predicted the destruction of the temple! It is in the 13th chapter of the Book of Acts that Paul decides to leave the Jews and go to the Gentiles with the Gospel message! It is interesting that the punishment for sin is built in to sin itself! Sexual immorality leads to deadly diseases like AIDS! How about death itself? No human escapes! Jesus promised to raise us from the dead! However remember everyone gets raised from the dead! Some to everlasting life and some to everlasting punishment! No one could ever promise to raise anyone from the dead unless they themselves could be raised from the dead and also to be able to raise others from the dead! Jesus did that while on earth! Only God our creator has this kind of power! But greater is His love for us as He demonstrated to us in all that He did! The wages of sin is death but God paid our wages and has given us life! Signs of the End! Matthew 24:7 Earthquakes

First our condolences to the families of Nepal in their great loss of life! God does not cause earthquakes! God does not cause physical death! Man’s rebellion and sin against God is responsible! But God has promised to raise us from the dead! According to the Bible there are many signs on the earth and in the heavens in the last days before Christ’s return that will be present. Here is a brief summary: 1. Increase of knowledge 2. Government ability to enforce the Mark (One world government) 3. Man of Sin revealed 4. Violence and sexual immorality 5. Rise of spiritualism 6. Massive animal deaths 7. Natural disasters 8. Unsealed prophecy 9. False Christ’s and prophets 10. World pushing for peace 11. War 12. Famines 13. Christians being killed 14. Increase in Sin 15. Christians departing from the truth 16. God destroys those who destroy the earth 17. The Gospel preached into all the earth. There are many scriptures that support these signs! Most all the signs are on us today! I want to talk about natural disasters today. There has been a 200 percent increase in natural disasters since 1979. Large earthquakes with a value of 5 or higher have doubled in 2014 compared to each year since 1979. You can see by viewing USGS stats page. As of February 22, 2015 there are around 3100 earthquakes happening every month! Remember Jesus on the Cross at the 9th hour when He gave up His Spirit in death? The earth was covered in darkness and then a great earthquake! The vale in the Jewish Temple was rent in two and the graves were opened and people were raised out of their graves and brought to life! This particular earthquake did not kill people but raised people from the dead! This is historical evidence that those who trust in Christ will be raised up! Remember that all will be raised from the dead! Some to everlasting life and some to judgment! Why does the earth quake? It longs for redemption! What you do with Christ will determine your outcome! Object of Your Faith?

Our Faith is no better than the object in which it is placed! Airplanes crash and ships sink! We can trust in our senses and physical body but it will ultimately fail us in death! If we trust anything more than God our Faith will be faulty! Jesus Christ will never fail you because He has promised to raise you from the dead both now and forever!
