Is God in the Darkness? 1 Kings 8:12

“Then spoke Solomon, the Lord said that He would dwell in the thick darkness!” Does this scripture sound contradictory? I thought God was light? If it does it is only because of the English word darkness used in this passage! The Hebrew translation is the word cloud! Like a cloud covering the Tabernacle or Temple manifesting God’s presence. Clouds bring rain and life! Now let us take the same English word darkness used in Genesis 1:2. “And darkness was upon the face of the deep.” The Hebrew root word is a completely different word than used in the Book of Kings! The word means destruction, misery, ignorance, sorrow and wickedness! This is just one more example for the case to be made that people who really want to study the Bible need a Hebrew-Greek study Bible! Without this helpful study tool you can miss-interpret the Bible and end up with bad theology! I never want to live or die with the wrong idea about God and His Christ! Thankyou. STOP—NO LEFT TURN!

The Chief Modern Rival of Christianity is ‘Liberalism’…at every point, the two movements are in direct opposition! John Gresham Machen (1881-1937) John was a seminary professor at Princeton, founder of Westminster Theological Seminary and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. His text book on New Testament Greek is still used in seminaries today! Comment: Who was the founder of liberalism? John Locke (1634-1704) However let us dig deeper! Let us hear what Satan told the first inhabitants of earth found in the Book of Genesis! “Has God said? Surely He has not said? You will not die if you partake of this fruit! God is a liar” How are we to live our lives as Christians? By every word that proceedeth out of the Mouth of God! Where do we find these words? In your Bible! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Accursed Thing? Joshua 7:1

What is the accursed thing? Is it something I had for breakfast? My wife’s cooking? Fast food? It will help you to go back to the Hebrew root word to help understand this. I would suggest you get a Hebrew-Greek study Bible if you want to dig deeper in the Scriptures! According to the Hebrew word this is something devoted to religious use. Some consider this word to have a contradictory element because it can also be something devoted to destruction! So something accursed is either set apart for destruction or set apart to be devoted to God! During the conquest of Canaan the Jews set aside the spoils of war for religious use. That is the silver, gold, bronze, iron and the animals were devoted to religious use. The idea here is since God has given us the victory in war the spoils belong to Him! Much like the tithe and offering today is given to God because He has given us the victory over sin, hell and death! So after crossing the Jordan River in a miraculous way they defeated the first city Jericho in another miraculous way! A man named Achan from the tribe of Judah and his family got greedy and stashed some of the gold from the spoils in his tent! God got angry and in the next battle for the city of Ai Israel got defeated. Joshua went to the Lord and the Lord revealed to him there was sin in the camp! Joshua went through every tent and found the offender! Achan and his family were stoned, burned and buried in the Valley of Achor! Is your life set apart for God or for destruction? What you do with Jesus Christ will answer that question? If you accept Jesus Christ your life will be set apart for Him! If you reject Christ then your life is set apart for destruction! The choice is yours! God will not send you to Heaven or Hell without you deciding! He will not force His will on you! Love demands a choice! So it is up to you! Victory or defeat? Heaven or hell? Light or darkness? Wealth or poverty? Health or sickness? You choose! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Is Allah in our Bible? Revelation 13:16-18

Absolutely! It is the word “Beast” used 37 times in the Book of Revelation! The Strong’s number for the Greek word is 2342. If you go to that Greek word it says it has a Hebrew origin. The Strong’s Hebrew number is 5927 and 5928. You can look this up yourself in any Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance. The Chaldean root word means holocaust! The Hebrew root word means to cause to burn, carry up(smoke), to grow, to make to pay, to shoot forth, to stir up, and to take away. So if you do your homework and study your Bible the word “Beast” in the Book of Revelation is not a mystery! So Allah and the Beast are the same words so Islam is the Beast prophetically revealed in our Bible! You may think holocaust and Islam? How about 9-11? How about the Jordanian pilot burned in a cage? How about Hitler and the millions of Jews incinerated in ovens! Islam was allied with Hitler! Obama is helping Iran get the hydrogen bomb with delivery systems! They want to incinerate the world! How about the Christians being burned in Syria? Remember the Book of Revelation was written about 600 years before Islam and Mohammed came along! With 1400 years of Islamic war and history I get it! If you believe your Bible is prophetic then the words that make up those verses and chapters are also prophetic! The scripture always have application whether yesterday, today or forever! God is and has spared His elect from judgment through Jesus sacrificial work on the Cross! How is God going to destroy the world? Fire! Muslim’s believe they are judging the world for God but only God has reserved that for Himself because He is the perfect Judge that knows every heart! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. The Beast and “666” Revelation 13:16-18

Before we can talk about 666 we need to discuss the “Beast.” The Strong’s number in the Greek for this word is 2342. If you go to this Greek root word it says this word has a Hebrew origin. If you go to that Hebrew origin it says this word was taken from another Hebrew word. The Hebrew Strong’s number for this word is 5927. This word is the word, “Alah”. Now this is where it gets interesting! This Hebrew word Alah is never used in the Old Testament scriptures! It is a Hebrew word never used in the Bible except to be translated into the New testament word “Beast” used in the Book of Revelation! The word is used 37 times in the Book of Revelation. So the word BeastĀ used in Revelation can also be translated Alah! Remember the Book of Revelation was written about 600 years before Mohammad and Islam ever came along! In Islam the number 666 is a sacred number! We will discuss thisĀ in further detail on our next Blog posting. Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Why is the Virgin Birth Important?

Most of the time you will not hear about the Virgin birth except around Christmas time. This is why we as a congregation repeat the Nicene Creed every Sunday because it includes this among other important things to our Faith! This great event in human history causes to awe and wonder about how God does things? God does not owe us an explanation! God could have zoomed Jesus down to earth in a flash of light for the whole world to see instantly! Think about Mary for a moment? She was a teenager, poor, female and pregnant out of wedlock! In the Greek, Roman and Jewish world women had no status! They were considered property! Yet God chose her? Why? God shows us the womb is a Holy place! There is dignity in the womb! Life begins in the womb! God shows us the important role of women! God does not have a war on women! Satan does! Herod and the State tried to abort Jesus! A medical doctor wanted to abort Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow! His mother chose life! God has demonstrated to us that the womb is a Holy Sanctuary! God Repented? Genesis 6:6

The controversy of this scripture and Exodus 32:14 and Numbers 23:19, is the result of the translation of the word “Repented”, from the Hebrew to the English! You can research this yourself using any Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance. The word repented in the Hebrew means to be sorry. In the New testament the word “Repented”, in the Greek means to think differently or change your mind. The same two words in the English “Repented” used in both the Old and New Testament have entirely different meanings! God was sorry that He had made man! This is not a good testimony for the human race! But Noah found Grace in the sight of God! A man can feel sorry for his sin but never repent in the New Testament sense! In Exodus 32:14, the literal translation is: “The Lord was sorry of the evil which He spoke to do unto His people.” The English word “thought”, is the word “spoke” in the Hebrew. Moses in the previous verse reminded God of the promises He had made to the Jews. The slaughter came to the camp with 3 thousand slain! Forty years in the wilderness took out an entire generation! But God preserved a remnant to keep His promise! In Numbers 23:19 it says; “God is not a man that He should lie. Neither the son of man that he should be sorry! Shall He not do what He has spoken and shall He not make it good?” God’s promises are sure to us and He has saved a remnant out of the earth! I am sure I have made God sorry in my life but I have changed my mind and think differently now! If God changed His mind He would have pulled Jesus from the Cross! Don’t make God sorry today but repent and Christ will rejoice with you in your new life! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

“I AM That I AM” Exodus 3:14

The Hebrew word, “Hayath” means to exist, to be, to become, to happen, to come to pass and to be done! An important point here is the word is a verb and not a noun! The name represents action! The word suggests the timelessness of God who is the foundation of all existence. In Revelation 1:4, it is said of Christ, “Him which is, and which was, and which is to come.” Jesus said in John 8:58, “Before Abraham was, I AM.” This Greek word, “Eimi” for “AM”, is also a verb of existence, to be and to have existence. Action initiated by God created life both yesterday, today and forever! We can trust in Christ who pre-existed time and is allowing time to redeem us! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. Dreams! Genesis Chapter 41

The word dreams in the Hebrew means to bind firmly! It can also mean a sense of dumbness! I must dream all the time! The Greek word defines a dream as a vision within a dream. The Bible talks about visions and dreams! The English Webster defines a dream as an image or conception of something. It also can mean to deceive as a ghost. Certainly a dream would have a sense of dumbness unless it were properly interpreted. I am sure we have all had dreams where we were dumbfounded as to the meaning? I remember having a dream about New York City about 6 months prior to 9-11. In this dream I was walking around in the streets of New York and seeing these piles of white powder all over the place? Since I had no one to interpret the dream it did nothing to preclude the attack! I only understood the dream after the attack and then I was not surprised by it! When we were called to the mission field back in the 1980’s we did not know what country we should go too? We thought about Mexico. Then through many visions and dreams God revealed to us He wanted us to go to India! Joseph had the ability to interpret dreams! He interpreted the dreams of the chief butler, the chief baker and then the dreams of Pharaoh of Egypt! Joseph got it right to the saving of the people of Egypt and for his own family from the famine! If you do not get an immediate interpretation of a dream then wait on God and He will find another believer to help you or through events He will show or confirm the dream to you! Joseph’s brothers would mock Joseph about being a dreamer yet by his dreams they were saved from destruction! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Esau and Jacob Romans 9:13

Why did God hate Esau and love Jacob? Esau was the first born and should get all the perks! The name Jacob means trickster or to supplant or replace. The name James in the New Testament is the same word as Jacob and has the same meaning! In fact in some foreign language translations of the New Testament calls the Book of James the Book of Jacob. God does not personally hate Esau but hates his priorities! We must value what God values! Our priorities must be God’s priorities! We must define our priorities according to scripture! We must make wise choices! Seek first the Kingdom of God! God will either respect or disrespect your priorities! There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek! Whosoever calls on His name shall be saved! Esau despised his birthright but Jacob valued it! If you value what God values then you will find favor with God! Live your life with integrity! The root word for integrity is the word integer. Something complete and not a fraction of something but a whole number. Let your yes be yes and your no be no! Do not add or subtract from the Bible. Do not cherry pick the Bible! That is only what you like! Some people think they will be cheated if they do the right thing? Jacob was cheated by his uncle Laban! Jacob did not take vengeance but let God Bless him more than if he had not been cheated! Isaac loved Esau more than Jacob because he was a hunter. Jacob tricked his father into thinking he was Esau! He did this to get the Blessing of the first born. Jacob comes in the name of another! To receive Blessings we do not come in our own name but in the name of Jesus Christ! We despised our birthright by living in sin! He took our sin away! We cannot save ourselves but in the name of another! Jacob wrestled all night with God! Jacob did not give up until he was Blessed! Do not compete but get complete! Jesus wrestled in the Garden of Gethsemane for us! Jacob in Faith got a name change! Yes, Israel! God promoted him to be a Prince! Jesus is our Prince of peace! We serve the God of Israel! Source; Pastor Steve Vaggalis, Destiny Worship Center. He was guest Pastor at New Life Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
