Why is the Virgin Birth Important?

Most of the time you will not hear about the Virgin birth except around Christmas time. This is why we as a congregation repeat the Nicene Creed every Sunday because it includes this among other important things to our Faith! This great event in human history causes to awe and wonder about how God does things? God does not owe us an explanation! God could have zoomed Jesus down to earth in a flash of light for the whole world to see instantly! Think about Mary for a moment? She was a teenager, poor, female and pregnant out of wedlock! In the Greek, Roman and Jewish world women had no status! They were considered property! Yet God chose her? Why? God shows us the womb is a Holy place! There is dignity in the womb! Life begins in the womb! God shows us the important role of women! God does not have a war on women! Satan does! Herod and the State tried to abort Jesus! A medical doctor wanted to abort Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow! His mother chose life! God has demonstrated to us that the womb is a Holy Sanctuary! Can You Make A Teenager Happy!

God can raise the dead but He cannot make a teenager happy! If you try you will burn out! Love them and leave them to their own devices. They will figure it out in their early twenties! I raised four of them and experience most of the time is the best teacher! I remember an old Burt Reynold’s movie back in the 1970’s. In this movie Burt and his buddy were robbing gas stations for a living. In those days the gas stations were not self-service but had an attendant to fill your tank, check your oil and wash your windshield. Burt was in the driver’s seat and his friend a passenger in the right front seat. Burt pulled up to the station and an old cranky man came up to Burt’s window and asked him what he wanted? Burt said it is surely a lovely day out here! The old cranky attendant said I do not think so. Burt said fill my tank up! Attendant finishes filling tank comes back to Burt and says give me ten dollars. Burt asked him if he could wash his front window glass? Attendant say’s No! Burt say’s you know something, I am tired of trying to make you happy! Burt pulls out his pistol and tell’s attendant to fill his bag with money from his cash register in his office! Attendant seems compliant and goes into his office where the cash register is and then brings a double barrel shotgun out! Burt hits the gas, squeals his tires as the attendant fires two blasts into the trunk of their car as they leave the station! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Billy Graham Tribute

Billy Graham at age 93 is back in the hospital. He is working on another book! He never tires in well doing! When I was a teenager back in the 1960’s I used to watch his crusades on my grandparents old Philco black and white TV set on the farm back in Nebraska. This man had a significant impact on my life as a teenager! His positive influence has carried me over the years as now I have entered my senior years! I thank the Lord and His Christ for sending Billy Graham into my life at a critical time to steer me the right direction and for my grandparents Edgar and Ethel Sasse for asking me to watch these crusades! Thankyou. James Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
