Freedom without Law?

Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred! Martin Luther King Jr.  Comment: Laws can be on the Books but never enforced! That is what sanctuary cities and open borders are all about! Not enforcing our laws! The civil rights laws after the abolition of slavery were on the Books for over one hundred years but never enforced! The Ten Commandments have been in the Books for at least 4000 years yet broken everyday by man! We can legislate until the cows come home yet how to enforce laws in a rebellious world? God had to find someone who never broke any of his laws yet was human to pay the penalties of men! Then that perfect God/Man would have to be sacrificed for the penalty of sin! This perfect lamb would be sacrificed to reconcile man to God! God had one which qualified for the job! His only Son Jesus Christ! His whole purpose was to die for our sin! When we personally recognize our sin against God and man and the great cost that came to him for our redemption for breaking the law then our attitude towards the law changes! The attitude is I want to follow the laws because it cost so much for him to fix my breaking of the law! Jesus said if you love me keep my Commandments! God’s love brings victory over hate! Martin Luther King knew he was going to pay a price to free his people! Even after the civil rights laws that were put on the Books in the 1960’s no significant change came until after his murder! Then American’s woke up to the fact they had gone to far! Because of the price paid their thirst for hate dried up and a new day of reconciliation came to America! But a sacrifice was required! Freedom requires a sacrifice! To overcome hate and revenge! If all of the world would accept the God given sacrifice of his Son Jesus Christ for their sin another human sacrifice would never be done on earth! Jesus said we must be born again! Something much greater than our first birth! It is a Godly birth with the character of thinking and acting like God making sacrifices for others rather than sacrificing others for yourself! Wrath or Salvation? I Thessalonians 5:9-11

Thessalonica was the Crown Jewel of the Apostle Paul’s mission work! His preaching there achieved a numerous and socially prominent following! Paul and his companions in the summer of 50 A.D. had to leave the city! Paul’s sudden departure left the newly found church exposed to great persecution! Paul sent Timothy from Corinth to check on the congregation at Thessalonica. Timothy informed Paul at his return to him that the congregation was steadfast and had a zeal to spread the Gospel! However the church did have some internal problems with sexual relations and some theological issues. Some in the congregation thought that those believer’s that had preceded them in death would have a disadvantage over the living when the Lord returned! So the Letter to the Thessalonians was born out of the need for Paul to settle these issues with the Church there. Paul has made it clear in his letter that God has not appointed us to wrath! The word wrath used here means a punishment with revenge from men! Revenge is a punishment from men that satisfies them but also brings grief to the punisher! The wrath of men is the opposite to the Salvation of God! God took out his revenge on men for their sin by punishing his only Son Jesus Christ on the Cross! Wrath and judgment came upon Jesus Christ for our sin! This is why rejecting Jesus Christ is so serious an offense to God! In fact it is the only unpardonable sin! Judgment or Salvation? Heaven or Hell? The choice you make about Jesus Christ will cast your eternity forever! Jesus is not an option unless you want the consequences being separated from God forever! Jesus is Judge of the living and the dead! He will be your Judge or Savior! The choice is yours to make! Keep in mind in Hell there are no more choices! In Heaven as the Angel’s who are created beings like us still have a choice! Lucifer made his choice to reject God but do you want to follow him to Hell? Jesus took our place on the Cross and took our Judgment upon himself! If Jesus does not take your Judgment you will take your own Judgment! Paul went on to clarify that whether we wake or sleep we live together with him! The word live from the Greek means that God through his Son Jesus Christ causes us to live righteous and Holy physically, spiritually and eternally in him! Paul goes on to say we need to comfort one another! We as the Church need to come to one another’s aid! To comfort one another together as the Body of Christ! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

21st Century Problem in America?

We have no government….capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge and licentiousness would break the strongest cords of our Constitution is as a whale going through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other. President John Adams

Esau and Jacob Romans 9:13

Why did God hate Esau and love Jacob? Esau was the first born and should get all the perks! The name Jacob means trickster or to supplant or replace. The name James in the New Testament is the same word as Jacob and has the same meaning! In fact in some foreign language translations of the New Testament calls the Book of James the Book of Jacob. God does not personally hate Esau but hates his priorities! We must value what God values! Our priorities must be God’s priorities! We must define our priorities according to scripture! We must make wise choices! Seek first the Kingdom of God! God will either respect or disrespect your priorities! There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek! Whosoever calls on His name shall be saved! Esau despised his birthright but Jacob valued it! If you value what God values then you will find favor with God! Live your life with integrity! The root word for integrity is the word integer. Something complete and not a fraction of something but a whole number. Let your yes be yes and your no be no! Do not add or subtract from the Bible. Do not cherry pick the Bible! That is only what you like! Some people think they will be cheated if they do the right thing? Jacob was cheated by his uncle Laban! Jacob did not take vengeance but let God Bless him more than if he had not been cheated! Isaac loved Esau more than Jacob because he was a hunter. Jacob tricked his father into thinking he was Esau! He did this to get the Blessing of the first born. Jacob comes in the name of another! To receive Blessings we do not come in our own name but in the name of Jesus Christ! We despised our birthright by living in sin! He took our sin away! We cannot save ourselves but in the name of another! Jacob wrestled all night with God! Jacob did not give up until he was Blessed! Do not compete but get complete! Jesus wrestled in the Garden of Gethsemane for us! Jacob in Faith got a name change! Yes, Israel! God promoted him to be a Prince! Jesus is our Prince of peace! We serve the God of Israel! Source; Pastor Steve Vaggalis, Destiny Worship Center. He was guest Pastor at New Life Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Great Leaders Absorb Pain!

Whether it be Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi or Nelson Mandela much pain was applied to achieve their dreams! They did not seek revenge but forgave their enemies! However the ultimate example is God Himself in sacrificing His Son Jesus Christ for our sin! Jesus absorbed all the pain of the entire world with all our sin forever! Source; Pastor Rick Warren.
