“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Commentary: Jesus said that these signs precede his second coming along with many other signs! The word pestilence is a plague killing many by disease! Our longest lasting plague was the Black Death plague which lasted 300 years from 1347-1665 coming back every ten years! We have so many plagues listed in our Bible from the Old to New Testament but why are the pulpits silent on this important subject! We cannot pretend they do not exist or have never happened? They are a lesson for us to learn of the frailty of man and the importance of receiving Christ as Savior! Yet so silent on so many scriptures warning us to help prepare us for Christ’s second coming! Remember Jesus healed the woman with the issue of blood! She had the plague! Do what you can to be responsible during this pandemic! Isolate yourself as best you can! Jesus Warned About Earthquakes! Matthew 24:7
From USGS DataBase 2021: The number of earthquakes is increasing. In the first 65 days of 1921, exactly one century ago only 7 major quakes magnitude 6 or higher were recorded globally. In the same period last year, a total of 24 major quakes, magnitude 6 or higher were recorded around the globe. Back in 2019, just 20 major quakes had been reported up to March the 6th, just 50 percent of this year’s total. Commentary: So is the Green New Deal going to save us? What political party can stop an earthquake? It seems they cannot stop a plague either! The 1918 pandemic here in America killed 675 thousand people! A hundred years later we are at over 581 thousand Americans dead from the Coronavirus! We are not out of the woods on this one either as new strains develop! So where is the science? We could easily exceed the death rate here in America compared to the 1918 pandemic! Where has one hundred years of science taken us? This is another reason Jesus must come back and save us! Man cannot fix himself! History shows us this! Have you taken the Jesus vaccine? He will inoculate you against death for he will raise you from the dead! Hebrew Translation: And he made his grave in the family grave site (humanity), with the morally wrong sinners (wicked), and with also identified with the rich in his deadly sickness (sin), because he had labored and sacrificed for no unrighteous gain, neither was there any deceit with treachery and fraud. Comment: I love the Hebrew and Greek language Bible studies for they paint a clearer picture of God and us! Notice immediately Jesus made his grave with humanity and sin even though he had no sin! When Jesus identified with humanity and the sin of human nature he had to take on death! He also identified with the rich in his death! With Judas and the rich young ruler! Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil. It goes on in this verse and says Jesus labored and sacrificed for no unrighteous gain! Then this verse concludes there was no deceit in him with treachery and fraud! Why did Jesus come down hard on the rich? He is warning us to love God more than money! If you love God more than money then you will give the money away and help many people! If you love money then you will hang on to it for your own hurt! Again money is not evil but the love of it is! Comment: What got my attention to research this is the flood of psychic adds on major cable news channels lately! This takes millions of dollars to run these ads! The 1-800 adds are on your screen for us to call about our future! It is obvious Americans are not taking the advice of Isaiah the Old Testament Prophet? How many Christians are visiting psychics? I shutter in my boots when I hear a Christian tell me, “Ya, but that is the Old Testament and the New Testament has done away with the Old Testament!” Then why did Jesus quote the Old Testament so much? Did He quote something He did not believe? Let us in brief cover the words used in Isaiah 8:19. A familiar spirit or spirit of divination is the act of trying to conjure up spirits from the dead to predict future events! This is an occult practice and sometimes is referred as sorcery. Wizards are of the same spirit and this word actually means to howl. These acts involve chanting, howling to try to call up dead spirits! Sometimes while living in India I would walk past Hindu Temples and Mosques and would hear this chanting and howling while beating drums and tambourines as these Hindu Priests would try to mesmerize their victims! Remember the witch at Endor that King Saul inquired to about his future? Israel was ready to go into captivity and Isaiah tried to warn them! Isaiah asked the Jews a simple question! Is it external? Russia, China or Iran? Is it internal? Financial, political or social? Is it Islamic terrorists? Is it the divide between liberalism and conservatives? All the greatest minds cannot seem to unwrap the mystery of our decline? If we would just get the right people in office or throw a few more billion dollars at it? If the government would just take over then we would be secure! If we could just get rid of certain groups of people? The answer is clear but you will not find it in the Halls of Congress, the Senate or the White House! Last Sunday morning he told us that the real problem in America is that her people are losing their consciousness of God! He is not in their thoughts! They are unconscious of God! Fired Admiral Leads to Pearl Harbor Attack!
February 1941 Rear Admiral James Richardson was removed from command after protesting President Roosevelt’s decision to move the bulk of the Pacific Fleet to Pearl Harbor! He protested against the redeployment of the Pacific portion of the fleet forward to Pearl Harbor, believing that a forward defense was neither practical or useful, and that the Pacific Fleet would be the logical first target in the event of war with Japan. Comment: It is always wise to take the advice from our military leaders on military matters even if you are President of the United States! One of the keys to Alexander the Great and his military victories was that he surrounded himself General’s who did not agree with him on tactics! The reason he did that was that he believed that those General’s would give him an idea how the enemy would think! False Prophets! Not all that shines is gold! Jesus warning His disciples. Wolves attack just to kill while other beasts kill only for food. Assassins! Dressed in sheep clothing. They look like you, dress like you, have a good church language but are suicide bombers wearing a Christian costume. Intentional people who purposely mislead us to hurt. Evil at the core. Verse 16- By their fruit you will recognize them. Good or Bad! True or False! Pay attention to the right thing. Walk and be not deceived. Good fruit is moral fruit. Bad fruit is immoral or evil fruit. Verses 21-23. Final Judgment! I prophesied in your name? I cast out demons in your name? I did miracles in your name? Jesus said but I never knew you! Worst thing you could ever hear! Warning! Big crowds always follow those who perform prophecy, cast out demons and perform miracles. They may be genuine or total deceivers? Work for the right fruit. Do they sell products and then sprinkle Jesus on top of their sales pitch? How does fruit come? Fruit takes time to produce. Galatians 5:22- Fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace———-. Is our motivation on self or Christ? Look for sound doctrine! Is your household built on sand or rock? 2Timothy 4:3-4. People want a doctrine that fits their desires. Our desire and God’s desire is different. Make me happy God! The 21st century church theology is called; Moralistic Therapeutic Deism. It says that God is here to make me happy! Use Jesus to get what you want. No sound doctrine. A lot of money made under this false doctrine. Money made in the God business. Why? It sells! Itching ears. We want to hear this! Pleases the flesh. Marketing 101- Find out what the people want and tell them how to get it. Politicians today- They follow the culture rather than lead it! Flow with the stream down the drain. Sound doctrine- Iron sharpens iron. Follow Jesus. Believe Him. False Prophets will appear to go along with the Gospel but yet will say Jesus did not die and raise from the dead. The Death and Resurrection of Christ is foundational to our Faith! The Nicene Creed has been foundational to our Faith for over 1600 years.
