Worship The Right Way! 1 Samuel 13:

Saul was the first King of Israel. He was appointed and anointed by Samuel the Priest of Israel. Saul won a lot of military victories but lost the Spiritual victory! If you lose this victory you lose everything! Saul worshiped the wrong way! He tried to do the Priest’s job! Do not try to worship without the Priest! Jesus is our High Priest but we also have an earthly Priest! Jesus had an earthly Priest and his name was John the Baptist! He prepared the way for Jesus! Your earthly Pastor or Priest prepares the way for you to meet Jesus! Through Jesus you worship the Father! Please do not let your earthly Priest live on locust and wild honey! Your tithe supports your Pastor! You honor your High Priest by honoring your earthly Priest! Give your tithe do not be a fake worshiper! Judas stole the tithe! Saul was in great danger surrounded by the Philistine armies! Samuel was separated from him so he offered the sacrifice for worship! Caiaphas the High Priest of Jerusalem felt threatened by Jesus so he unknowingly offered the true sacrifice for the redemption of man! God Himself! The earthly Priest arranged for the redemption of man! Why we worship and how we worship and who we worship is very important! We worship God alone but understand God became man to establish His Kingdom here on earth! God uses men and women to build His Church! He chooses earthly men and women to lead His Church towards Heaven on earth! Enlist in His Army and follow your leader here on earth! Find a Church this Sunday and worship Him! Thankyou. Messianic Prophecy Genesis 49: 9-12

These verses in the Book of Genesis even though written thousands of years ago predicted a coming Messiah through the Tribe of Judah! Verse ten is particularly interesting! The word scepter in the Hebrew means a rod and a tribe. A shepherd’s staff. We are the sheep of His pasture! The word lawgiver means a commander of decree’s! It means to enact laws cut in stone! Jesus was the only one who could live out and keep all the commandments of God because He was God! The word people here means a flock of people comprising the whole earth. Yes, Jews and Gentiles! In verse eleven we see Jesus riding the donkey into Jerusalem! We see the vine and the wine. The last supper and the crown of thorns! Pastor Edward Mote (1797-1874), wrote a hymn that says, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness!” Pastor Mote’s parents ran a beer tavern in England. They left him in the streets as a boy to grow up. He entered the ministry and became Pastor of Rehoboth Baptist Church in West Sussex for 26 years! The congregation loved him so much that they wanted to give him the church building as a gift! Pastor Mote replied, “I do not want the church but only the pulpit and if I cease to preach Christ kick me out!” Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

A King In Zion ! Zechariah 9:9-17

Zechariah predicts a coming King of Zion, the Messiah! It begins with the scene of Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey. Remember Zachariah made this prediction 520 years before it happened! Remember there is no evolution with God! God does not get better with time! He made time and all history revolves around His plans for the redemption of man. His plans are revealed through His Word The Holy Bible. Jesus entry into Jerusalem and the people’s rejection of Him marks the end of Daniel’s 69th week. Briefly Daniel’s 70 weeks is a period of 490 years. This period of time began when Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem with the Jews from Babylon after 70 years of captivity. We have a gap of over 1900 years between the 69th and 70th week which is the Church Age. The 70th week will begin with the Rapture of His Church and the 7 year tribulation period and consummated by Christ’s second coming to earth. Zechariah’s prophecy then continues with a discussion of God’s dealing with Israel in the 70th week of Daniel. During the tribulation period Israel will no longer rely on military power but on the Prince of Peace who will exercise worldwide dominion over the entire earth. Conclusion; God stopped the clock so that during the Church Age gentiles would have the opportunity to accept Christ as Savior. This window will not remain open long for long! Why you still have time do not reject Christ but accept Him so you can spend the remainder of your life here and all eternity with Christ and a peace that this world can never deliver to you! When you look back your entire life will boil down to either accept Him or reject Him! Your life here and hereafter spent in Heaven or Hell rests with your choice! Be wise! Thankyou. Prophet Amos Predicts Salvation Of Gentiles! Amos 9:11-12

Amos prophesized this event 765 years before the birth of Christ! He speaks of “The remnant of Edom” which refers to the future time when God would deal directly with the Gentiles and bring them to Salvation! James the New testament leader of the Jerusalem church quoted these verses to show how Amos prophecy was being fulfilled by the great number of Gentiles who were believing on Christ. (Acts 15:16-17.) What Did Jesus Say About Following Him? Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus had a radical message! You can only enter in at the narrow way, narrow passage or narrow gate to follow me. A narrow gate would only be about the width of your shoulders. You cannot carry any baggage with you when you go through it. Following Jesus through the narrow gate requires focus with no distractions in the way. The broad road or gate leads to destruction. Jesus does and did not go this path. It is a dead end road. Few people choose the narrow gate. American culture is more Christ resistant than anytime in our history. To follow Christ today is more costly than in previous generations. We are considered radicals by our culture and ridiculed. We are considered on the outer fringes like space cadets. Did you ever notice the on-line surveys always give you a way out. You are never committed to a yes or no answer. Kind of like politics today. Christ gave His disciples no third choice. It was either Heaven or Hell. The same holds true for us today! Yes or no? Easy or difficult. Matthew 5:1-2. Jesus real audience was more than the crowds it was His disciples. They had already made up their minds to follow Him but their trust level was low. It takes time to figure out if you can trust someone. Jesus told them the Kingdom of God is right now! It was not yesterday or tomarrow. Living right now is Monday through Saturday working, school and difficult schedules. Jesus said let Heaven break into your boring day to day world. Jerusalem has 12 gates. The wide gate is the most used gate. Examples today are convenience stores, shopping malls, fast food, ect. We like the best paved roads with the fewest traffic lights. They even have drive through churches today. Just hear a message on the internet or television. Why go to church? Studies have found that women like to shop on the internet after 9:00PM. Why? Convenient! We like to choose the easy way over the difficult. Going through the wide gate we can take along as much baggage as we want. No constraints, no sacrifices, easy choices, no boundaries, no commitment applies to all who travel the wide gate. Taking this path leads to ruin. Jesus took a narrow path from The Judgment Hall to Calvary. It was also a steep climb carrying your Cross! He took your unforgiveness, hurt, pain and all your sin. Jesus was a teacher of virtue. Creativity exits between boundaries. Whether it be inventions, music, poetry, sciences, discoveries or even the work of a humble farmer. All great work is done within constraints and boundaries. Jesus had to be sinless to fix your sin. Because of the discipline of constraints and boundaries we have very few great people. People do not like boundaries. Live together why get married? Why study? Why work? Get on welfare. Pregnant? Get an abortion. Vote for the political party that offers you no constraints or boundaries. Revelation 7:9. Heaven is not sparsely populated but has a great multitude. Salvation belongs to our God! It is a free gift like a Christmas gift under a tree and is easy to find. Jesus is easy to find but very difficult to follow. Weddings are exciting but then the couples have to learn to live together. Marriage goes from easy to difficult. The wide gate is to get a divorce or just live together unmarried. To remain in covenant is a miracle from God and requires His Grace. To stay married is hard work and a challenge. Getting pregnant is easy but raising children is hard work. The family under the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman is God’s only plan and design for relationships and for the security of future generations. Worship even requires constraints and boundaries. All people will make one of the following four choices in their life. 1. Secularism- autonomy, it’s my life, live for yourself, no boundaries, no restraints. Not Jesus way. No! 2. Moralism- Follow the rules and get the life I deserve. Entitlement. Steeped in religion that says it is all about me. I deserve to be rich and famous because I am a moral person. 3. Religion- I owe my life to God. Obligation. Things better go right with me because I am serving God! Bad exchange. Problems come! Death and disease comes to all! 4. Grace- Jesus says your life for my life! Wonderful exchange! Great Exchange! My nothingless for His everything. Give God your life and He gives His life back to you! Stop living for yourself. It is a dead end. Let Christ come in. Welcome the Holy Spirit! You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. What needs constraint in your life? Do you eat food for comfort? Do you have a drug or sex addiction? Do you feed your senses to no avail. Let Christ increase and you decrease. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and He will add to your life that will help you to victory.
