Credit Card Praise! John 5:43

Jesus did not come in his own name! He came from Heaven to earth in his Father’s name! Jesus told the crowd that you receive me not? However if another shall come in his own name you will receive him? Jesus whole walk on this earth was to give his Father the glory! What much of the world cannot stand is for you to come to them in Jesus name! If you tell the world my name is Frank, Sally or George they have no problem! But if you come to them in the name of Jesus all Hell breaks loose! Most people have a Visa or credit card. The bank that has given you the card has given you a loan or some credit! If you took the name of the bank off the credit card it would be worthless! You purchase by credit in the name of the bank! Your name on the card by itself would not even buy you a can of beans! Our power and authority does not come from our own name but from the name that is above all names! When we call on Jesus name it gets the attention of the Father just as a charge on your Visa gets the attention of the bank! Without the recognition of the bank or the recognition of the Father your request will be denied! The Father listens for the name of Jesus from your lips! Some people curse rather than praise Jesus! Do people go around cursing their bank? Your credit rating is all about you honoring your bank by paying back the loan! How much credit do you give Jesus for your life? How is your spiritual credit rating? Have you refused to give the credit for which he has paid out to you on the Cross for your sin? The debt was paid by him! Your debt! Is Jesus Blood Human?

The father of any child determines the gender and blood type! Jesus carries the blood of his Father in Heaven! If Jesus had human blood it would be contaminated with sin! Jesus had a human body except for his blood! God does not look at our sin whatever it may be but looks on the sacrifice! Is the sacrifice adequate? Is the sacrifice enough to atone for our sin? The same in the Old Testament! The High Priest provided the shed blood of an innocent sacrifice for the forgiveness of the sin of the people! Jesus without sin and his shed blood of God is the only sacrifice that qualifies us for redemption! Not your works not your own efforts but the Divine blood of Jesus Christ! Nothing else! Are You Acceptable? Isaiah 61:2

Hebrew Translation: “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. The year of delight, favor, love, grace, kindness, as the pleasure of a King blessing his subjects! The year the High Priest’s sacrifices were accepted with the blood sacrifices and death accepted for our sin. The debt is now paid and the petitions or prayer requests are now heard and acted upon. And the day of vengeance when the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies and God’s rage, revenge and jealousy was poured out upon the sacrificial offering and accepted. Now after this the people can be comforted with compassion as the sacrifice for their sin has been accepted and they can take a deep breath and sigh of relief for their trespasses have been atoned for.” Comment: Today when we accept the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for our sin this offering of God for God on  behalf of God is presented before the Father and our sin is forgiven. But what of the fate of those who reject the sacrifice of God’s only Son Jesus Christ for their sin? I would rather be a fallen angel in Hell than an unbeliever in the earth! Why? Because then they themselves become the sacrifice in judgment condemned to an eternity with their leader Satan! The one and only unpardonable sin is the rejection of Jesus Christ as their Savior! While you still have breath you can still chose Jesus Christ! But one day the opportunity in the chapter of your life will end! You are only acceptable to God through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for your sin! Nothing else qualifies you for Heaven! No works or no efforts of your past, present or future will suffice! The Apostle Paul with all his great scholarly abilities said I only know Christ and Him crucified and nothing else! Goals! Matthew 4:8-9

Jesus said what profits a man if he gain the whole world and lose his only soul? Remember the Devil offered Jesus all the Kingdoms of this world if he would bow down and worship him! We need a Godly goal! An eternal goal! Depending on our natural gifts we have different abilities. I will never play football in the NFL. I will never go to the Olympics. I am not a rocket scientist. I always enjoyed taking things apart and turning wrenches. I love preaching the Gospel but never had a full time job doing it. I love girls but they are very expensive! I like politics but it is too ugly for me! I would rather do a Bible Study than balance my check book! Math was not my best friend! We should all have one common goal! Reach the Kingdom of God! After this life an eternity awaits us all! Did you ever notice Jesus just had one goal. His goal was to prepare people for Heaven! To do that he had to die a ugly death on a Cross! He had to be raised from the dead! He had to ascend to his Father in Heaven to prepare a place for us there and send his Holy Spirit to us here on earth! How would I know if I had a Godly goal? I would have the same goal for you that I have for myself! My goal is to lead people to Jesus! I do not want to be set apart from Jesus seeking the Kingdoms of this world ending up separated from God forever! Also denying you access to Heaven by my rebellion against Christ! By creating an ideology that opposes the Kingdom of God! I want to share Heaven with you! My goal is that we both share Heaven together! Jesus said they will know you are my disciples if we have love for one another! Do you love the world as much as God does? Humanly impossible! But by his indwelling Holy Spirit all things are possible! Why not give your goals to God and let him sort them out in his eternal plan and purpose for your life! John 3:16 Word Study “Son”

Son (Hulos) Strongs #5207. This word in the Greek is specifically reserved for the Son of God and has no other application! There are other Greek words used for son. An example is for adopted sons and daughters. Hulos specifically refers to the male offspring of legitimate parents! We as believers have a likeness to God’s character but we are not the Son of God! The word son used here refers to Jesus special relationship to the Father! Jesus is never referred to in scripture as a child of God! Only the Son of God! Think about this! Jesus was the Son of God before he came to earth! Jesus Sonship did not start at Bethlehem! Believer’s show maturity by acting as the Sons of God! John 1:12. However this word sons is a different Greek word! Teknon (Strongs#5043). Son (Hulos) stresses the dignity and character of the relationship of the Son to the Father but Teknon sons, communicates the fact of a natural birth. Jesus had a Supernatural birth where we are the product of a natural birth! You can see why a Hebrew-Greek study Bible will help us with interpretations of scriptures! Remember Jesus said we must be born again! The word born (Strongs #1080), means God devine nature imparted to us! But when? The word again (Strongs #509), means from the beginning referring back to the Garden of Eden before the fall of man! Here is a side note for you. Every time the son of man is used in the New Testament the word is not translated from the Greek to English! Why? Matthew 8:20, 16:13, 20:28, Luke 22:69, Hebrews 2:6-9

John 3:16 Word Study “Only Begotten”

Greek Word Strongs #3439 The Greek root word used here is metamorphose! Yes! A worm turning into a butterfly! However in the incarnation the butterfly becomes a worm! Becomes a human! Well the butterfly was always the butterfly! God becomes man but still God! Only begotten means only Son of his mother. Jesus had brothers and sisters but they were from a different father! Jesus was unique only from one race! Salvation has come through the Jews! Father God said this is my beloved Son! Jesus was not born eternally of the Father but as to his humanity here on earth at his incarnation! The Trinity pre-existed creation and the cause of it for the Trinity always has been and forever will be! At Salvation our outward form changes because of a inward transformation! Jesus said we must be born again! The miracle of God in our life changes our condition! It is an invisible process with outward demonstrations of the change! Character is changed! From earthly to Godly character! Remember the Transfiguration? Jesus, Moses and Elijah transformed from earthly to Supernatural! One day we will have a new heaven and a new earth! The word “new”, in the Greek means qualitatively new! A new quality! That is what happens to us at salvation! It will happen at the Rapture of the Church and our eternity spent with Christ! If you can believe your eyes when you see a worm turn into a butterfly here on earth is it too hard for you to believe God’s only Son Jesus Christ was born out of heaven into earth? Give Glory to Another? Isaiah 42:8

“I am the Lord; that is my name: and my Glory will I not give to another; neither my praise to graven images.” Comment: His name is Jehovah and he has distinguished himself from idol’s! He will not allow his name to be ascribed to another! No one will take the honor that belongs to me! God’s glory, honor, abundance and all that he is be given to another? No praise to graven images that belong to God? God has distinguished himself from his creation! In the earth throughout history we have one God but many gods created and worshipped by men! Idol worshippers have made gods unto themselves! Earth worshippers, environmentalists, sun worshippers, worship of money, sex, fame, fortune are the gods of men! Satan has always tried to get mortal man to worship him! To steal worship from God! Any ideology that replaces God is self-worship! Atheism and evolution are two good examples! Self-worship is exalting men above God! So how do we reconcile this with the Gifts of the Spirit? The indwelling Holy Spirit? How can God share his nature with mortal men? We were created in the image of God! How can God live in mortal men who are sinners? God became man through his Son Jesus Christ! God is a Trinity! Father, Son and Holy Spirit! One God but yet three distinctions! Each with a specific purpose! The Holy Spirit was the first active agent involved in the creation of the heavens and the earth! Even today the Holy Spirit delivers Israel from her enemies! God’s Son Jesus Christ sacrificed his sinless body as a substitute for our sinful body! So after Salvation we ascribe glory to God through his Son! Now the benefits from God are available to us because Jesus is God! When we give Jesus glory we are giving God glory! God gives his glory to us through his Son! So now we have communion both ways! God to men and men to God! God see’s his Son living in us and it pleases him! He see’s his atoning blood over our lives! The Father gives his glory to the Son and the Son gives his glory to believers! The Holy Spirit see’s God through his Son living in you and he is attracted to dwell in you! The Gift’s of the Spirit such as love, peace and joy are ours! His power is available to us to give victory to believer’s and defeat Satan! Without Christ man can only give God graven images and human sacrifices! God sacrificing himself for you is the only acceptable sacrifice! He was sinless! The praise of men that they give idol’s belong to God! If God saved your life and stepped out in front of a vehicle and took your death who would you be thankful to? The reckless drunk driver? No but yet this is what idol worshippers do! They thank Satan who wants to destroy them and reject God who has saved them! This is the unpardonable sin against God!  James and Hamsa Sasse. Trinity of Communion! 1 John 5:7-8

Verse 7: “These are the 3 that witness a good report in heaven, the Father, the written Word and the Holy Spirit or the Breath of God.: Verse 8: “and these are the 3 that witness a good report in the earth, the Spirit, and the water and the blood; and these 3 agree as one.” Comment: So we see in Heaven a Trinity of the Father, Word and Holy Spirit! So where is Jesus in Heaven? Remember the Word became flesh and dwelt among us! Now let us move down here to the earth. We have a good witness of the Spirit,  the Water and the Blood! We have the Holy Spirit, the Blood (Jesus Christ) and the Water! The Water? There is only one thing the Lord could be talking about here! Baptism! Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River! Jesus washed the disciples feet with water before the Cross! I believe there are 3 elements of Communion! The body, the blood and water! Baptism is a separate ordinance in the church as so is Communion however you cannot separate them spiritually! After Jesus was baptized the Holy Spirit descended on Him! It pleased the Father! Should we want to please God? Baptism is a witness in the earth to the world that we belong to Christ! In Communion we identify with Christ in Heaven here in the earth and in Baptism we identify with Christ here in the earth as a witness to the world! We do these things in remembrance of Him because He first remembered us at Calvary! God first loved us! Do you want to identify with Christ? Can you be saved without baptism and communion? Yes like the thief on the Cross but would you not want to experience the joy and fellowship of communion with God? In order to be in authority we must be under authority! The ordinances of the Church and the tithes and offerings established by God are there to test you and see if you are under God’s authority? You cannot be in God and not under His authority! Do you forsake assembling together in Church on Sunday’s? If you do you are not under His authority!
