Chapter 18 of the Book of Leviticus covers forbidden sexual practices! It also covers human sacrifices which we see in Islam! Verse 22 instructs us that homosexual behavior is an abomination to God! Yes God is homophobic! God is love but hates sin! He could not be a Holy God and endorse sin! Won’t ever happen! The best example in history of his rebuke of gay’s is Sodom and Gomorrah! Messianic Prophecy Genesis 49: 9-12
These verses in the Book of Genesis even though written thousands of years ago predicted a coming Messiah through the Tribe of Judah! Verse ten is particularly interesting! The word scepter in the Hebrew means a rod and a tribe. A shepherd’s staff. We are the sheep of His pasture! The word lawgiver means a commander of decree’s! It means to enact laws cut in stone! Jesus was the only one who could live out and keep all the commandments of God because He was God! The word people here means a flock of people comprising the whole earth. Yes, Jews and Gentiles! In verse eleven we see Jesus riding the donkey into Jerusalem! We see the vine and the wine. The last supper and the crown of thorns! Pastor Edward Mote (1797-1874), wrote a hymn that says, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness!” Pastor Mote’s parents ran a beer tavern in England. They left him in the streets as a boy to grow up. He entered the ministry and became Pastor of Rehoboth Baptist Church in West Sussex for 26 years! The congregation loved him so much that they wanted to give him the church building as a gift! Who was Polycarp? A.D. 69-155
He was a disciple and personal companion of the Apostle John. As a youth he studied at the Apostle’s feet and was ordained as Bishop of Smyrna. Some scholars believe that the Angel of the Church at Smyrna mentioned in the Book of Revelation was referring to Polycarp. Our Lord had no criticism for the Church at Smyrna and told them that they were rich! Their tribulation and poverty was translated into wealth of spirit! Polycarp lived to be about 87 years old and was martyred in 155 A.D. To escape martyrdom he only would have had to say, “Caesar is Lord.” Polycarp was a powerful leader both living and dying! What is the Book? Revelation 1:11
The Book here is the Book of Revelation! Notice that when Christ gave this Revelation to John he was to immediately release this to the seven churches in Asia. God puts a priority on “His Church” and “His Body” and does not leave us in the dark! The world is in darkness and like the navigator told the pilot we are making very good time but I do not know where we are? We are so Blessed in the Body of Christ to know future events and are not taken by surprise when history unfolds before us. History confirms the Bible both past, present and future! Christmas Gift? Seal of God! Revelation 9:4
Remember in Revelation 5:1, the word book translated Bible in the Greek. The Bible in Heaven is sealed with 7 seals. Only one is worthy to open these seals is Jesus Christ! The Bible is not sealed here on earth but open to all who will receive it. When Jesus opens the seven seals in Heaven judgment is released on men on the earth. Now let us fast forward to Revelation 9:4. God’s judgment misses those on earth who have the seal of God in their foreheads! Notice it does not say on their foreheads but in their foreheads! This simply means those who have the mind of Christ and are sealed by the word of God which is the Holy Bible. Christmas is about the word of God becoming flesh! Christ born into the earth! The word of God defends us from the judgments of God and seals us from unrighteousness! We have no better defense and no better offence to win the battles before us! Sodom and Gomorrah Act III Romans 1:27-32
Satan throughout history has tried to prevent the “bruising of his head” by the seed of the woman! The latest political ploy by the Democrats is that everyone except them has a war on women? What an oxymoron this is since they promote abortion and homosexuals! The primary sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was homosexual behavior. God does not have a war on women but Satan does! History has shown us that God does have a war on gays! The next major event of God’s judgment on man was at the Flood of Noah! I want to quote a Jewish commentary about the sin in the Days of Noah; “In the new issue of Inside Israel newsletter (vol.13, No.7), Rabbi Chaim Dov Keller is reported as writing in the “Jewish Observer”: The Midrash (Acharei Mos) tells us that the Generation of the Flood was wiped out only because they wrote marriage contracts between males just as they did between conventional couples. We can better understand the cultural expression “only because” as meaning “the singular primary reason” in importance as the cause why God brought the Flood upon the world at that time in antiquity. For many years I have realized that Mr. GTA’s explanation of Matthew 24:38 did not hold water– There is nothing wrong in marriage itself, unless wrong things or wrong people are being married to one another.” Rabbi Keller has provided information from Jewish Midrash (commentary) to help us better comprehend Jesus intended meaning and message. Comment; As we see the continued decline of America we also see cultural perversion endorsed and sanctified by our governments across America. Much of the “Church” is mute on these issues and some even endorsing them! Many Pastors do not want to loose their 501c exemptions and many want to remain popular and sell their books! There is only one “Book” that counts and that is the Holy Bible! God has provided a way out from all sin through His Son Jesus Christ! God will not accept “Gay Christians” which is another oxymoron! Judaism and Christ!
Judaism was the womb that birthed forth Christ and Christianity! Let us never forget the unbreakable link between the Christian and the Jew. Though some Jews today reject Christ let us not forget that their history was foundational to bring our Messiah into the earth! The Jewish history and culture prepared the way for God to position His Son to enter history at the exact appointed time. The Jews are still the apple of His eye and God will deal with them and open their eyes to Christ especially during the tribulation period as described in the Book of Revelation. Moon Under Her Feet ! Revelation 12:1
The arabs at Kaaba worshipped 360 idols. When Islam came along in about 650 A. D, , they took their highest idol and worshipped it as Allah. The idol Hubal which is a lunar diety was thought to have powers of divination is identical in origin to Allah. Their religious symbol is the crescent moon. Notice in the Book of revelation, Chapter 12, verse 1, that the moon was under her feet. Going on to verse 5 notice what it says, ” And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule the nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up to God, and to his throne.” Christ will have dominance over every false religion which is prophetic and reality! Billy Graham Tribute
Billy Graham at age 93 is back in the hospital. He is working on another book! He never tires in well doing! When I was a teenager back in the 1960’s I used to watch his crusades on my grandparents old Philco black and white TV set on the farm back in Nebraska. This man had a significant impact on my life as a teenager! His positive influence has carried me over the years as now I have entered my senior years! I thank the Lord and His Christ for sending Billy Graham into my life at a critical time to steer me the right direction and for my grandparents Edgar and Ethel Sasse for asking me to watch these crusades!
