Greek Translation; “Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new quality never before accomplished and a fully restored man that God has created. Old things are passed away and all things have become new.” Comment: What things are passed away? Our sin has passed away! It passed away on a Cross over two thousand years ago! Sin died on the Cross with Jesus! It was nailed on a Cross never to rise again! Sin is defeated forever! Man was raised from the dead without sin! A new creature uninfected by sin! Born again! A restoration that has nothing to do with men but everything to do with God! The only sacrifice that is perfect and everlasting! Man’s efforts have failed but God’s work won the day! A victory that is not seasonal with every new game but eternal! No rivals! It is not a victory that is waiting for the next war but has defeated all foes past and future! A trophy that will not rust with time but the timeless redemption of all ages! Heaven and earth will pass away but not our Christ! He will create a new Heaven and a new earth to go along with your new life! Awaken to your new reality that had been hidden in time! Do you want to trade in your old model for the new model or do you want to hang unto death? Do you want to exchange your sin for righteousness before God? Righteousness that He purchased for you! Do you want to be wrong with men and right with God? Free at last! You cannot have it both ways! Heaven or Hell not Heaven and Hell. As we enter into the Lent season think on these thoughts! Yearning for Salvation? Job 7:21
Hebrew Translation:” And why has thy not taken away my predetermined rebellion and revolt and passed over or crossed over my criminal acts.” Comment: After Job had lost everything except his life this was his last question to God! Remember Job was a righteous man and hated evil! God had prospered Job with much wealth and a good family and good health! Then Satan that old serpent came along and challenged God to test Job for he told God Job will curse you if you pull all his blessings away! The challenge was on! After Job lost all his wealth and family only one question was left in Job’s mind? God why have you not forgiven my sin? Job lived during the Patriarchs probably around 600 B.C. It would be hundreds of years before Christ would be incarnated into the human race! Job was pleading for the Savior! Job believed all his trouble had everything to do with his sin! He had done everything right before God yet still had great troubles in his life? However the source of his trouble was Satan! So we face the same foe today! However Satan was defeated at the Cross of Calvary! If you do not recognize your enemy he will destroy you! If you do not arm yourself with the Blood of Christ there is none who can stand against him! The trouble in America today is the teaching of evolution to our children with the atheist foundation and they have no defense against Satan and he is shredding our culture to pieces! If you deny God you will also deny Satan! This is the most deadly decision you can make in life! Some people blame God and not Satan for their troubles! One day when you lose all your health and wealth you will ask the same question Job did! Our success sometimes can keep us from asking the most important question in life! But why wait until you are at the end of yourself? God’s reply to Job and to you and me is His Son Jesus Christ! Job needed a Savior and so do you! Do not wait until it is too late! Grace Alone! Ephesians 2 : 8-10
While the soul is in mortal sin, nothing can profit it; none of it’s good works merit an eternal reward, since they do not proceed from God as their first principle, and by Him alone is our virtue real virtue! Saint Teresa of Avila (1515-1582 A.D.) Comment: Jesus said we must be born again! Not just born once but twice! Do you celebrate your second birth? You should know the date if you have had the second birth! James and Hamsa
Infinite Versus Finite! Isaiah 46:10
“Declaring and bringing forward the end or future rewards from the beginning or first with regard to order, rank and time; from the ancient times or front of place that are not yet done, saying, my counsel or wisdom and advice shall stand and I will accomplish my delightful pleasure with affection.” Comment: The word end used here in Hebrew means future rewards! Like the resurrection from the dead! The word beginning in the Hebrew also has a fascinating meaning! It means first in order, rank and time! This same Hebrew word is the first word used in the Bible recorded in Genesis 1:1. In the beginning God created…… God expressed His character here in creation! The words ancient times means the position of the front of a place that is not yet done! Then God said my counsel, wisdom and advice will be accomplished with affection! Remember what Jesus said? I am the first and the last! The Alpha and the Omega! Jesus said He was before the beginning! Jesus always was and always will be! He is eternal. Remember in the beginning was the Word? He was before creation! What was His pleasure with affection! The birth of His Son Jesus Christ into the earth! What was God’s affection! To redeem His creation from sin! Whether you recognize it or not your future is in God’s hands! He placed His hands on a Cross for you! Could you not fold your hands in prayer to Him? Why not begin with Him and end with Him! Does God Create Evil? Isaiah 45:7
“I form the light and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil.” Comment: God created the light and time came into existence! God created the night. God makes peace for us with health, security and welfare. And he created evil. God is not evil but when he created people they have the potential for evil. We have the potential for evil because God has given us the freedom of choice and free will. Love always demands a choice! Jesus chose the Cross for you! The truth is God is good and we are all evil. If we reject our creator evil will follow us! Lucifer the Praise Angel in Heaven rebelled against God and he and 1/3 of the Angels were cast out of Heaven! Angels are created beings! Lucifer became Satan! God made a way of escape for all of us in the sacrifice of His only Son Jesus Christ! God overcame evil with good! What we do with Christ determines our future here now and eternally! Christ living in you empowers you to overcome evil. God slew evil on Calvary! God knew if He created a family on earth Satan would try to destroy them! That is why Christ pre-dated creation! Men are evil because they hate God! God is good because he is love and sacrificed His Son to deliver you from evil. We can rest in Christ because he has defeated in us what was impossible for us to do on our own! Grace and Grace alone! Hour of Temptation! Revelation 3:10
Greek Translation: “Because thou has kept the spoken word of my cheerful endurance, I will also keep thee from the hour, time and season of one’s virtues which shall come to pass upon all the world specifically the Roman Empire, to try them that dwell on the whole earth.” Comment: The Greek word for our English word “world”, used here refers to the Roman Empire. From the Roman Empire the temptation is spread into the whole earth. So what temptation is Jesus keeping you from that is spread to the whole earth from the Roman Empire? The temptation to deny Christ! The world at this time in history was the Roman Empire! They had conquered most of the known world! Jesus and all the disciples except John and many of the early church Father’s were martyred by the Roman Empire! The Apostle John at the time of the writing of this Book of Revelation was exiled on the Isle of Patmos working as a slave in a stone quarry because of Caesar’s sentencing of John! Christian persecution of the Church began in 64 A.D. with Nero and the great fire of Rome. The persecution of the Church ceased in 313 A.D. with the Edict of Milan with Emperor Constatine. It has been estimated that there were at least 100 thousand martyrs during this period. Remember in previous postings we talked about the unpardonable sin? What was blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? Remember to mock one part of the Trinity is to mock all. The unpardonable sin was to deny Jesus! God can forgive every sin except denying Jesus because He is the only one who can forgive sin! Remember the 21 Coptic Christians who were beheaded by ISIS last year? In their hour of temptation they did not deny Jesus! Rome became Christian under Emperor Constatine and became the Holy Roman Empire! Jesus knew what the believers were going to face under Roman Rule for 200 years! He was preparing them for the hour of temptation! So how did the preparation come about for the hour of temptation for the whole earth? When Roman Empire became Christian all the roads they had built throughout their entire Empire were used to take the Gospel to all the known world! I will give you a historical quote on the Roman Empire from Wikipedia: “By means of European Colonialism following the Renaissance, and the descendant states, Greco-Roman and Judaeo-Christian culture was exported on a world wide scale, playing a crucial role in the development of the modern world.” Now where are we at 21 Centuries later today? The pressure upon Christian culture today is to deny Christ! The popular culture, Hollywood, liberal media, atheistic teachings such as evolution, abortion promoters, white supremacy haters, anti-colonialism, gays, lesbian, and transgender promoters all apply pressure against us to deny Christ! Even in the church the denial of Christ exists! Many believers do not tithe their income! Many make a 7 day work week and skip Sunday services! Worship of money over God! The list goes on but we can either deny Christ one small step at a time but when push comes to shove and you have to make a choice between your life or Christ God’s grace will not be their to confess His name! Why is This Not Preached? John 3:16
Why is the unpardonable sin not preached? So what is the unpardonable sin spoken by Jesus in Matthew 12:31-32? We discussed this in a previous post. When you take all the meanings of the word blasphemy in the Greek New Testament and the Hebrew Old Testament words you are prompted to a decision and answer for the question. Jesus can pardon every sin except one sin! Jesus cannot pardon you from the sin of rejecting Him as Savior! In fact according to the Bible if you reject Him He will judge you at the last day! If a worldly judge offers you a pardon for a crime such as murder will you not take the pardon? Blasphemy is taking the Son of God Jesus Christ at His Judgment Seat and spitting in His face! Blasphemy is cursing His name here on earth and mocking Him telling God His Father that He is a liar and His sacrifice for you is rejected! When we understand this truth other truth’s in the Bible become even more important! You hear from the pulpits often that God can forgive any sin! However this is not accurate! The only sin He cannot pardon is the rejection of the Judge of all the world! Savior or Judge? The choice is yours! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
Only One Unpardonable Sin! Matthew 12:31-32
Words of Jesus! Greek Translation Verse 31; “Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin or missing the true scope and purpose of finding God and ruining one’s human reputation by evil speaking shall be forgiven unto men, but the ruining of God’s reputation shall not be forgiven unto men.” Verse 32; “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him, but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” Comment: If you call me a liar and it is not true God can forgive you! If you call God a liar these is no pardon for you! Remember the first example of this in the Book of Genesis! When Satan was tricking eve to take of the forbidden fruit he told Eve God was a liar because God has surely not said you cannot eat this fruit! You will not surely die! Why is sin against God unpardonable? Because He is the only one who can pardon sin! But not against Himself! What would be some examples of calling God a liar today? Not believing the Word of God or the Bible as God has given to us! Mocking Christ and rejecting Him! Trusting anything more than God! Cursing God to attack His character! Attacking His people or believers! Spreading lies about His servants! Trying to destroy Jesus reputation by spreading lies about Him! Doing just the opposite of what God has established as righteous in His Word! Dismiss God’s Word as having no application in the 21st Century! Believing ideologies that oppose Holy Scriptures! The list is much bigger than these but since the Garden of Eden the assault continues on God, His Kingdom and His people! There is one line you can never step over! The Apostle Paul was a defender of Judaism but was ignorant of Christ in the 1st Century! When He saw Jesus for who He really was he repented and became the greatest human promoter of Jesus Christ in history! If you think you have stepped over the line repent turn to the Cross and never look back! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
Free at Last! Isaiah 43:18
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Comment: This is great! I can forget my mortgage payments! My credit card payments! My utility bills! No more taxes! Even better than Trump! No more insurance or car payments! No more rent! No more nagging wife or condemning husband! No more diapers! No more toxic supervisor! I feel like I have died and went to Heaven! This verse in Isaiah is not a prison escape plan! What Isaiah is really saying is do not let your past sin become your present sin! Repent of it and come into 2018 clean without the sin and bondages of the past coming with you into the new year! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
Looking Forward! 1 Esdras 5:38-39
When the Jews returned from Babylon captivity by the favorable Decree of the Persian King Cyrus they met many challenges to rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem! Here is a quote from verses 38-39. “Since they were unable to prove their ancestry, they were not allowed to function as Priest’s. Nehemiah the governor told them that they could not eat food offered to God until there was a High Priest who could use Revelation and Truth.” Comment: Ancestry was everything to the Jews! Tradition was the foundation of their life and worship! If you could not prove your ancestry as many Jews could not after returning from 70 years of Babylonian captivity you could not participate in Temple worship! Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses were in the Religious Hall of Fame! Rightly so! Jesus really threw the religious Jews a curve ball when He told them they must be born again! Jesus the High Priest with Revelation and Truth was looking them in the face but they did not get it? The religious leaders seemed blind? Yet the simple Jews such as Peter saw the light! How far does Jesus ancestry go back in time? All the way back to the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve! Remember the Tree of Life in the Garden? His humanity took their sin and fast forwarded it to you and me! His Divinity delivered you and me from sin! His humanity was sacrificed for you and me! Jesus was a Jew and of the tribe of Judah! That is prophetic! Ancestry.com should be renamed Death.com! Why were the Persian Kings (Iran), favorable to the Jews? The 3 wise men were from Persia! King Cyrus and Darius were favorable to the Jews! Why? God spoke to them! Why is present day Persia (Iran), not favorable to the Jews but want to destroy them? Very simple! Islam that came along in 650 A.D. Islam has given all of its followers a religious backing to kill. The Persians also invented the crucifixion so they prepared the method for the sacrifice for Jesus! Let us look forward! Is your name written down in the Book of Life? (Revelation 3:5) Are you born again? Washed in His blood? Jesus promised us to go prepare a place for us! Then He would return the second time to earth! He promised to send His Holy Spirit to us until He returns! When Satan tries to remind you of your past remind him of his future! Remember the Cross and move forward! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
