All the treasure of the House of the Lord that King Solomon had spent a lifetime amassing was carried off by Persian King Nebuchadnezzer of Babylon! All the gold, silver and vessels of the Temple and the King’s House were cut in pieces and carried off! What lesson can we learn from this? Hundred of years later Jesus predicted the Temple of Jerusalem would be destroyed again! About 40 years after His death and resurrection during the Roman/Jewish War (66-70A.D.), the Jewish Temple was destroyed and the treasure was carried off back to Rome along with one hundred thousand Jewish slaves! The Jewish slaves and treasure was used to build the Roman Coliseum! Then the early Christian’s were martyred in the same Coliseum! History has shown us that when Jew’s are persecuted so are the Christians! Same holds true today in 2016! The Apostle Paul talked about treasure in earthen vessels! The treasure inside each human was given to us by God! It is a gift and no human can steal it! What we do with this treasure is very important! If we claim it as our own then we are stealing treasure from God! The treasure within you is priceless and has eternal purpose! It will last forever! Our purpose in Christ is found on earth and prepares us for Heaven! Remember after death we come back to earth again with Christ for the one thousand year rule of earth following the seven year tribulation period! If you have been faithful here on the earth with the real treasure then expect greater responsibility later in His Kingdom there and when you return with Him again to earth! Thankyou. Mercy and Consequences! 2 Kings 24:3-4
These two words seem contradictory but yet they compliment each other! You cannot have one without the other! Manasseh repented and found Mercy from God for his sins he committed but God did not remove the consequences of what he had done. (2 Chronicles 33:12-13) For Christ to forgive the world of sin their were consequences for Him! It is called the Cross at Calvary! Physical death is still a consequence for the human family for the sin of our first parents Adam and Eve! If you or i had been the first parents we would have done the same thing! However for those in Christ death is not permanent for Jesus has promised to raise us from the dead as He was raised from the dead for us! Consequences in life are real but not permanent! The joy of our salvation has overcome the fear of sin and death! God’s love has overcome our evil! His love has removed our guilt and shame! Pride! 2 Kings 20:17-18
Please don’t get me wrong! King Hezekiah was a good man! God healed him from death, turned back time for him and added 15 years to his life! Pride is the most celebrated word in America but the least talked about word in the church! Gay pride day? Pride is like a bottle of poison that tastes like candy with no warning label on it! It always follows success! If you do not believe you suffer from episodes of pride then you are as blind as our first parents Adam and Eve! We have ten words for pride in the Hebrew and three words in the Greek in our Bible. Here are some definitions for pride from these root words; Arrogancy, swelling, pomp, haughtiness, loftiness, elation, grandeur, proud, raging, exhaultation, presumption, self-confident boasting, smoke without flame or smoltering, and ties and binding. Remember Samson got tied! The word i have not listed yet is the one i like best! Pride means to turn your back! Some people turn their back on God! Peter did! I don’t know him? Jesus did not turn his back on Peter! Have people turned their backs on you? Friends or family? Church members or a Priest or Pastor? Have we turned our backs on them? I have asked Jesus why i should try to establish a relationship with them? Jesus asked me do i want to be like them or like me? The Middle Eastern Christians who were beheaded this past two years did not turn their backs on Jesus! Do we turn our backs on the poor, widows, orphans and single moms? After success King Hezekiah showed off his wealth to the Babylonians! After this Isaiah warned him that this would result in Babylonian captivity and his sons would live in their palace court as eunuchs! We believe Daniel was a eunuch in the court there during their 70 year captivity however it did not impede his Prophetic words as recorded in our Bible! Pride was the very first sin and the sin that causes us to turn our backs on God and others! Humble yourself that you may turn people’s heart towards God! God Light Savings Time! 2 Kings 20:11
Here in American we have Daylight Savings Time. We turn the clocks forward one hour in the spring and one hour back in the fall. However what God did for King Hezekia of Judah was more than simply moving the clock back one hour! To turn the sun dial back ten degrees requires a complete adjustment of the solar system! If you do the math every degree of our 360 degree circumference of earth represents four minutes of time. So to turn the shadow back ten degrees is 40 minutes of time. So the day was extended by 40 minutes! God also added 15 years to the King’s life! So God can turn back time or extend time for you! What most people do not understand is God for those in Christ turns back time for us and extends time for us! It all happened at the Cross! When Jesus took the judgment for our sin our clock was turned back to the Garden of Eden! Before Adam and Eve sinned we are restored as though we have never sinned! Now we walk with God in the cool of the day! That is cool! No longer separated from God in Hell but Heaven living on earth! Those that reject Christ have their lives extended but separated from God in Hell. Their clock was never turned back! We cannot carry sin and stay where you are but God must turn your clock back! Hell on earth is a choice and heaven on earth is a choice! Jesus said you must be born again! The second birth is a time machine that changes your destiny! Decisions matter! What time is it? Science and Faith Psalm 90:10
It has been said that those good in the sciences are good in math! We have a Book in the Bible named Numbers! God is so merciful i can even figure out Numerology in the Bible! King David wrote this Psalm around 1000 B.C So the above scripture was written about 3000 years ago! David was inspired by the Holy Spirit when God told him few people live past 70 years old! So how would science verify the Bible? How would we do the math? I know some people lie about their age like Bob Hope and Jack Benny! However except for Obama birth certificates and death certificates tell the story! I went to the 2010 census report for the United States. This report is done every 10 years. They have a category for the 65-74 age group which includes both men and women. According to the chart those living in this category make up 7 percent of the population! So what percent are living in the 70-74 age group? No data but you can figure about 2 percent or less? What are the percentages for 3rd world countries? The health care industry and the whole food industries do not want you to see these statistics! However they can improve you quality of life but not your length of life! Everyone wants to be in that number when the Saints go marching in! However all go marching out! This is March madness and turbo shakes will not change your score! Thankyou. Empty Vessels! 2 Kings 4:1-7
The widow of a Prophet had two sons. She could not pay her debts so her two sons would become slaves! Slavery was different then! During this period Hebrew slavery was according to law! The period of slavery was limited to six years! (Exodus 21:2) Slaves had protections and rights under the law! It was possible for slaves to attain position, power and honor! Remember Joseph? Prime Minister of Egypt! Regardless the widow would have been separated from her children! You could not file a Chapter 11 to get out of debt! She took her problem to the Prophet Elisha. Elisha asked her what she had in her house? She told him nothing but a pot of oil. She had only one thing but it was everything! Jesus there is only one lad here who has two loaves and five fish! How can we feed the multitude? We are out of luck Master! We are having a bad day! Elisha asked the widow to borrow empty vessels? He told her to shut the door on her house with her two sons! He asked her to begin to fill the empty vessels! Jesus told his disciples to bring the little boy’s food to him. He prayed and Blessed the borrowed food and told his disciples to begin to distribute the food to the crowd! The widow came to Elijah and told him all the empty vessels were full. He told her to sell the oil and pay the debt! Remember the gold coin in the mouth of the fish? God is looking for the empty vessels on earth whom He can fill. However a majority of these vessels do not believe they are borrowed vessels? They think they own their own vessels? It is my money! Don’t tell me to tithe! Don’t tell me what to do! You can understand the challenge God faces! You are not your own but paid for with a price! The price was His blood! God’s blood! I would never want God’s job! Are Atheist Really Atheist?
Not really! This is my finding as i debate them across America in colleges and universities! They are really angry at God? What triggered it? Maybe an abusive childhood, poverty, abandoned by their father or a tragic death of a parent! This pent up anger is released by creating an alternative world where God does not exist! Then they get further even with God by gathering young disciples to follow them! So they get teaching jobs in colleges and universities where you send your children to them to get a college education! After years of exposure to these teachers your child graduates and has a degree but hates God! No longer a disciple of Jesus? Where have i failed? You find your children hate God just like their masters! This is the cultural war we are in today! War has been declared on God! I want to compare the story of the lion and the lion tamer! Who is the most powerful in the cage? The lion but he does not know it? So the guy with the little stick and the chair pushes the lion around! The lion could destroy this guy in about 3 seconds! The Christians are the lion and the secularist are the guys with the little sticks poking and intimidating them! The Christians do not know their power so they sit there and take it! They cave in when challenged! The atheist also accuse me of creating an alternative world! They say i create a heaven as a means of escape from reality where there is no war, sickness, disease and death! They tell me heaven does not exist! Then i explain to them that the Bible also speaks about Hell. How about that alternative world? Blood and water! 2 Kings 3:22-24 Part 1
There was constant war between Israel and her neighbors thousands of years ago just like today in 2016! What was the source of this conflict? In this scripture the Moabites were at war with Israel. Who were the Moabites? They were the descendants of Lot! Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? God destroyed the gays living in those cities! The only reason Lot and most of his family escaped was because of Abraham! However Lot’s wife had to look back on those cities as they were burning and turned into a pillar of salt! Her heart was still in Sodom and Gomorrah! Lot hid in a cave on a mountain with his two daughters. Lot had sex with his two daughters and produced offspring that became the enemies of Abraham and the Covenant Jews! The Moabites was one of these tribes. So again what was the source of the conflict? The Moabites chief God was Chemosh and required human sacrifice! Much like Islam today which requires human sacrifice! The practice of human sacrifice was strictly forbidden by the Jews! Here is what the Jews believed! The only true sacrifice that would appease God for the sin of mankind was not going to be made by man to God but God was going to provide a sacrifice to man! If you miss this point you miss everything! All the wars of earth fought or ever will be fought are based around this difference in concept of God and the redemption of man! The war with Islam in 2016 and wars with them over the past 1400 years are all about this! Man dies for God or God dies for man? Which is it? We are dealing with opposite theology! You cannot have it both ways! Some try and become atheists! They believe this will solve the problem yet atheist leaders in history have killed more people than religious wars! New Revelation on the Clinton Foundation!
It is hard to get information about the Clinton Foundation because it is set up in Canada where under Canadian law they do not have to disclose donors! What happened to transparency? You have to sue Obama to get something that is to be provided to the citizens by Constitutional law! Anyway through law suits under the Freedom of Information Act under our Constitution information is slowly being released! What we have learned is that the Clinton Foundation is spending on itself as a proclaimed charity 90 percent of all income taken in! Ten percent of collected funds go to charities! I would like to know the names of those charities? This is an example of Santa Claus turning into a scrooge! Santa delivers 10 gifts to the children on Christmas morning and keeps 90 gifts for himself? We need to ask ourselves as Christian’s how much of our income do we spend on ourselves? How much does the ministry you support spend on themselves? To be a good steward it is intellectually honest to ask your church for the annual budget report! If they are buying jet planes and putting property in their names it is time to step back and pray about your investment! Are they using the funds to proclaim the Gospel, mission work, helping widows, orphans, single moms and homeless people on the outer fringes of our culture? Our income requires time and we have only so much of it before we stand before Jesus! If we amass a lot of money with no compassion for the lost then we are bankrupt before God! The word time in the Greek means to Honor God with your tithes and offerings as one of the ways we worship God to say to Him i am who i claim to be as a believer in His name!
