Who Are They? Revelation 2:6

Who are the Nicolaitians? The word in the Greek means the conqueror of the people! Specifically in the Church of God! They are only referred to twice in the Book of Revelation. Both the church at Ephesus and the Church at Pergamos had the same problem! (Verse 2:15). The Nicolaitians were Bishops and prelates of the church gaining a triumphal victory over the laity! This is the very sin that brought forth the Reformation! It is mostly responsible for all our denominational and non-denominational churches around the world! The Nicolaitians compelled and forced church members to submit to the arbitrary dominion of men who have become the ones which the eternal hates! The Apostle Peter warned us that those who are leaders among God’s people must not dominate the faith of others but rather exhort them to do right! (1 Peter 5:1-3). The Nicolaitians are people in the church who have established a hierarchy of power and dominion under a government of ecclesiastical rulers! Comment: Yes! God hates these folks! Correction is very different from condemnation! We take the word disciple from the word discipline. Jesus used the techniques of correction and commendation very effectively! We as parents either tend to over correct and under commend or over commend and under correct! Everything I do cannot be right and everything I do cannot be wrong! That is why I need a Savior! My experience in ministry over the past 45 years has shown me people do not like to submit to authority! This is the nature of Satan! Most people will submit to authority if commended and corrected in love! However some will never! Hell is reserved for these folks! Why will some never submit? Because they want to replace God! This explains why the world is a war! War on God! Jesus asked the churches at Ephesus and Pergamos to repent! Sunday our Pastor Oscar Cope made an important point to us in his sermon! Train Up! Proverbs 22:6

Hebrew Translation: “Train up; that is initiate, consecrate, dedicate and teach in community, a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Comment: The key here is to teach the child in the totality of the community! So what is the trinity of the community? It is first parents, church and school! The school part is where the rub can come in! If your children attend a public tax funded school here in America the children or young adults will be conflicted! That is they will be taught things there that will contradict what you teach them at home and in the Church! Creation versus evolution is one important example! The children will be taught that homosexual, lesbian and transgender gender is to be celebrated! Loyalty to America will be discouraged! Prayer will not be allowed! No Bibles in school! If your children attend a religious supported school whether Jewish, Catholic or Protestant their chances of confliction are greatly reduced! They will also be exposed to real academic training rather than social engineering! The Democratic Party gets their supporters and voters through the Public education system! Home schooling is an option! One third of all Harvard freshman are home schooled adults! I want to have my children miss out on school shootings, drugs and the violence in public schools! Twenty percent of all public high school graduates cannot read! Raising children is a real challenge but what complicates it is your children being taught atheistic ideologies from Darwin, Engels, Marks and others that oppose your Biblical view of life! John 3:16 Word Study “Son”

Son (Hulos) Strongs #5207. This word in the Greek is specifically reserved for the Son of God and has no other application! There are other Greek words used for son. An example is for adopted sons and daughters. Hulos specifically refers to the male offspring of legitimate parents! We as believers have a likeness to God’s character but we are not the Son of God! The word son used here refers to Jesus special relationship to the Father! Jesus is never referred to in scripture as a child of God! Only the Son of God! Think about this! Jesus was the Son of God before he came to earth! Jesus Sonship did not start at Bethlehem! Believer’s show maturity by acting as the Sons of God! John 1:12. However this word sons is a different Greek word! Teknon (Strongs#5043). Son (Hulos) stresses the dignity and character of the relationship of the Son to the Father but Teknon sons, communicates the fact of a natural birth. Jesus had a Supernatural birth where we are the product of a natural birth! You can see why a Hebrew-Greek study Bible will help us with interpretations of scriptures! Remember Jesus said we must be born again! The word born (Strongs #1080), means God devine nature imparted to us! But when? The word again (Strongs #509), means from the beginning referring back to the Garden of Eden before the fall of man! Here is a side note for you. Every time the son of man is used in the New Testament the word is not translated from the Greek to English! Why? Matthew 8:20, 16:13, 20:28, Luke 22:69, Hebrews 2:6-9

Warning to Christian America!

Hillary Clinton’s closest aid and confidant is Huma Abedin! She is a Muslim and her parents are connected to terrorist organizations! Abedin is also deeply involved with the pay to play scandals of Hillary while she was Secretary of State! Hillary owes Muslim nations hundreds of millions of dollars in favors that they contributed into the Clinton Foundation located in Canada! She did favors for the Muslims while she was Secretary of State so the question is what favors would she do for them while President of the United States to keep the money flowing into their Foundation? Hillary would not say who she would appoint to the Supreme Court as Trump has? I believe she would try to appoint Muslims to the Supreme Court! We could easily have Sharia Law ruling the United States! Christian America could go Islamic! She could also appoint Muslims to high cabinet positions such as Secretary of State, Attorney General and many other cabinet positions! She has and will sell out America for money! Most Misinterpreted Scripture In the Bible! Matthew 7:1

A poll was taken among unbelievers and they were asked what word comes to their minds when they hear the word, “Evangelical Christian.” A overwhelming majority said the word that comes to their mind is; “Judgmental.” Most of them quote Matthew 7:1 to support their views. What is lacking here is for them to read the rest of chapter 7. It is always easier to be critical of others sin than our own sin. We treat others sin different from our own. There is a big difference between judging and evaluating someone. We get discernment from God’s Word! The Greek word used for judgment in verse one is the word,”Krima.” It means to judge, condemn and execute. Like Jesus was given at Calvary. We can say something is wrong without judging. We can take a moral stand without being a jerk. We need not be evaluator and chief. We do need to draw the line on impure thoughts and actions. Cool parents are bad parents! You are not your children’s best friends but you are in authority over them and responsible to God for them! We set boundaries in our family for their safety. Judgmental people are constant fault finders. They think your problems are because God is out to get you for your faults. They are always looking for the wrong and not what is right. They always remind others of their past mistakes. We all have flaws and need Christ. Following are a list of opposites judgment verses evaluate; Judge-emotional anger. Evaluate-restore them (kindness). Judge-Pride (better than you). Evaluate-I want to help (Grace). Judge-stay away (fear). Evaluate-restore them (Kingdom). Verse 2- Same way be judged. Give-away get back. Forgive-forgiven. Heal-healing. Pour out Grace abundantly! John 8:3-6. Woman caught in adultery. What did Jesus write on the ground? No one knows? Maybe the names of the ladies the Pharisee’s were seeing? They knew all about the law yet guilty. Older left first. Why? Maybe more to remember? Sometimes when we get older we forget how broken we were before we came to Christ. Don’t get over your salvation! Where are your accusers? Jesus asked her to leave her sin and stop it. Jesus gives us an invitation to take up our Cross and follow Him. We want to pray for two groups this morning. The worst kind of abuse is spiritual abuse. Spiritual leaders who abuse the flock. These people are hurt the deepest. We need grace not judgment. Forgive! We need ocean’s of Grace! New way of living. Judgmental people assume the worst in people. A product does not know it’s purpose. Only the designer or creator knows a products true purpose. Find your Creator and learn your true purpose in Christ!
