Christmas, Science & Faith! Isaiah 38:5,8

King Hezekiah was on his death bed! Both Isaiah and the King went to prayer! God informed the King He was going to add 15 more years to his life! God turned the shadow of the sun dial back 10 degrees! This is not like changing or turning your clock back for daylight savings time! Let us try the math here! Our earth is divided into 360 degrees like a circle. A rotation of earth equals 360 degrees one day or 24 hours. There are 60 minutes in each hour multiplied by 24 hours equals 1440 minutes. If you divide 1440 minutes by 360 degrees each degree represents 4 minutes of time. So turning back ten degrees is equal to 40 minutes of time for each day. If you multiply 40 minutes by 365 days you get 1460 minutes! So for every year Hezekiah lived from that first day he got a year back! So he lived 15 years longer and got 15 years back! When time is stopped or reversed the aging process stops! Jesus said we must be born again! Why? Our eternity is affected by what we do with the time we have here on earth! When we receive Jesus Christ as Savior our time is reversed back to the Garden of Eden before we were sinners and before Adam and Eve sinned! In eternity there is no time and no death! There is no aging in eternity! The birth date of Christ into the earth in Bethlehem has a lot more significance than you can ever imagine! Wise men still follow Him! Merry Christmas! The Christmas Scrooge? Matthew 6:13

Do not let the Pope ruin your Christmas! The Greek word for temptation means to test with experience. I wish the translators would have used the word testing instead of temptation! We do not fall into temptation or testing as though it were an accident? We are led into temptation determined by who you follow! The Spirit lead Jesus to be tempted of Satan! (Matthew 4:1-11). If God leads us into testing it is not to abandon us or destroy us but to give us victory through experience over Satan! God will test us to prove to us He can be trusted! When Satan tests us it is for the purpose to destroy us! The key is to know which tester is testing us? Remember God will not test us with evil. (James 1:13-14) If something that is evil comes to your mind you know the author of it! Do not listen to Satan but rebuke him in Jesus name! Cast him out of your mind! Has God surely said you cannot eat of this tree? You will not die! Jesus turn these stones into bread! Jump from the Temple Mount the angels will catch you! I will give you all the Kingdoms of this world if you will bow down and worship me! Mary you are going to have a baby boy and yet know no man? Elizabeth you are going to have a son in your old age! Abraham you are going to have a son in your old age? Ha Ha Ha! His name will be Isaac meaning laughter! All these saints passed the test! No one likes tests! When you are tested and close your eyes in death who will you trust to take you to Heaven? The Pope forgot the most important part of verse 13. But deliver us from evil. Evil exists because we do not trust God! The testing to do evil is from Satan! The testing from God is to deliver us from evil. Christmas is all about a way is provided by God to deliver us from evil into righteousness! There will never be a greater gift than this! Merry Christmas! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Incarnation in You! John 3:5-8

Here is the definition of the word “Incarnation”, from the Merrian-Webster Dictionary: “The embodiment of a Deity or Spirit in some earthly form; the union of divinity with humanity in Jesus Christ.” Comment: Jesus told Nicodemus he must be born again! After you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior your sin is forgiven then you have a born again experience with God! Now His Spirit rules you rather than the flesh! The Holy Spirit becomes incarnated in you! You then follow Him as He leads you into righteousness! Those that reject Christ receive another Spirit that controls them and leads them away from God! Satan rules their life to destroy them! Jesus came to save us! No one can ignore or escape the incarnation! What Spirit incarnates you has everything to do with what you do with Jesus Christ! Life or death? Judas Iscariot would be one example of what happens when you reject Jesus Christ! The other disciples are good examples of the power that dwelled in them from the Holy Spirit to reach the lost world and transform lives! Merry Christmas! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

The Just Judge! Isaiah 11:4

Hebrew Translation:”With honesty, integrity and peace He shall judge the poor with uprightness and justice for the meek inhabitants of the land, and He shall punish, defeat and slay the inhabitants of the earth with the Ruler’s staff with His speech and with the breath of His voice shall bring unnatural death to those who challenge God.” Comment: What fool would challenge God? A fool has said in his heart there is no God! Our first parent’s Adam and Eve challenged God! We kind of got off to a bad start! The unnatural death mentioned in this scripture is because of sin! God never designed us to see death! When we die what do we inherit? We think of leaving an inheritance to our family when we die but what do we inherit? We will either inherit eternal life or eternal death! The meek shall inherit the earth and also Heaven! God is ruling the earth because the sheep have gone astray! We all need a shepherd! Left to ourselves we become homeless wanderer’s on the earth with no purpose! Jesus is the good shepherd and a fair and honest Judge! How is Jesus fair and honest? Christ who was without sin died for your sin! God sacrificed His own Son to redeem us from an eternity of separation from God and the Hell of suffering judgment! When I see the mockery of Christ in American culture I shutter to think of their outcome! Hopefully like Paul on the road to Damascus they will see a great light! To live without God means destination without God! Why would people want to miss Heaven! To choose no future and no hope? The second sin of rejecting Christ is worse than the first sin! What could God do more for us than making us righteous with His own blood taking our punishment upon Himself? To reject the Cross is to play the double fool. Does God have a limit on His love? No! But love without law would be meaningless! It is not God’s love that will send you to Hell. It is the rejection of His love and the penalty He paid to satisfy the law for our pardon is what sends people to Hell. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Burned at the Stake! 1415 A.D. Hebrews 11:35

Hebrews 11:35 (Greek Translation) “Women received their dead standing on their feet again and others were tortured not receiving kindness with joy and redemption from sinners that they might obtain a stronger more powerful resurrection.” Comment: Could an early resurrection from martyrdom be stronger than a later one from natural death? Absolutely! Why? Jesus resurrection was the most powerful one because it required the most forgiveness! All the inhabitants of earth from Adam and Eve until now and for all that will ever be born were forgiven by God for their sin! We all put Jesus on the Cross! The greater the resurrection the greater the forgiveness required! Here is a quote from John Hus the Czech Reformer who was burned at the stake in 1415. “O’ Lord Jesus Christ, into thy hands I deliver my soul, which thou has redeemed with thy blood. Father in Heaven, do not hold against them the sin which thy enemies commit against me, and let my eyes see them blissfully with thee, when their souls fly to thy throne after an easy death. Holy Spirit, enlighten their deceived hearts, so that the truth of the Holy Gospel may open their eyes and it’s praise be spread everywhere, forever and ever! Amen.

Are You a Servant? Philippians 1:1

I am glad you asked! You say I feel like one with job, family and ministry! The true slave loves to be a slave! No complaints! A true slave would work for free and many did in the Roman Empire and early America! The Romans had slaves of all races! They were non-discriminatory in their slave employments! So what would be the attitude of a true slave? First, they would be completely consumed in the will of another! They would be completely bound in the relationship of another! Like marriage! They would be bound by the law! They are bound to do that which is needful to another! Their Master! They would make their needs know to their Master in prayer! The needs of others to their Master? Jesus was bound to the Cross in service to God and man! The only Master that could destroy you is the one who makes his Master himself! That is what Satan did! He quit serving and forced others to serve him through sin! Who your Master is important because it is a matter of life and death! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Two Destinies! Genesis 3:1

“Now the hissing creature was more cunning and crafty than any of the created beings in the field God the creator, ruler and judge had made.” Comment: Remember the Jews again murmured against God in Numbers 21:9. The serpent called God a liar! Moses constructed a brass serpent upon a pole for the people to look at after they were bitten by the fiery serpent in judgment by God! Why? God had instructed Moses to do this to save the people! Remember the brass serpent is an image and not the fiery serpent! We were created in the image of God but we are not God! There are religions today such as Islam that make themselves God and decide who should live and who should die! Remember Lucifer was at one time Heaven’s choir leader and highly ranked in Heaven! He is a created being and rebelled against God and was cast out of Heaven down to the earth! His image on a brass pole represented his position and condition before his fall. He was pure and Holy at one time! His pure condition represented by the brass serpent delivered the Jews from same fallen serpent! Any Savior has to be greater than those saved! We cannot be like God unless we are restored to the previous estate of no sin! Jesus has made this possible for us! The wars on planet earth are between the Image of God and the Image of Satan! We have to chose the right side of this war! Adam and Eve had to chose between two tree’s! Today there are still two tree’s in the midst of the garden! One tree looks good to the eyes and the fruit is pleasant but is deceptive and leads to death! The other tree has life in it and healing for the nations and mercy but does not appeal to the carnal nature! Christ was hung on a pole or Cross and took your place in His death and resurrection! He took your punishment for your sin and rebellion! Your image is restored and now you live in the Image of God as first intended at creation! You now live as if you had never sinned! Spirit or Flesh? John 11:25-26 (Greek Translation)

Verse 25; “Jesus said unto her I will cause his body to stand on his feet again from the grave! I am the principle of life and the spirit and the soul but not the flesh! He that will believe or give me credit though he were dead yet I will cause his spirit to dwell eternally with me!” Verse 26; “And whosoever dwells with me spiritually and eternally and believes or gives me credit shall never die on account of sin!” Comment: My first thought was how could I believe in Jesus if I were physically dead? Jesus is talking about a spiritual death! The second death! Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead spiritually and physically but Lazarus died again! Jesus is telling us that the spirit and the soul is eternal but not the mortal flesh! Yet it is the mortality of the flesh that controls most people! Remember Jesus said we must be born again! Translated from the Greek he said we must be conceived from above! That is an important reason why at His ascension He sent us the Holy Spirit! There are two things in life that can destroy you eternally! Sin and to trust your flesh! Jesus heals sick bodies but only with eternity in mind! He said go and sin no more! Your flesh is temporary but your spirit and soul will dwell somewhere eternally! Either with Christ or separated from Him! Have you ever heard a Christian say I have never sinned since coming to Christ? The big lie! Your sin past, present and future is covered by the blood of Christ! You are not Holy by your own efforts! All will be raised from the dead! No one will miss this whether righteous or unrighteous! When you appear at the Judgment Seat of Christ you if in Christ will be pardoned from judgment! You will miss the second eternal death! Are you giving Christ credit for your Salvation right now while on earth! Do you tell others or are you mute? Salvation is about what you do with Christ and what He does with you! This is what the Easter message is all about! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Made Whole! Luke 8:48-50

Jairus the Temple ruler had one daughter 12 years old who was very sick! Jairus had sent for Jesus but He got delayed when a crowd of sick people thronged Him! A woman in the crowd touched the hem of His garment and got healed! Jesus commended her for her faith! Jairus sent another message to Jesus telling Him not to come for his daughter is dead! You might call this a cold case! Jesus presented two conditions for restoration! Fear not and believe and you will be made whole! So what does the words made whole mean? Elementary Watson! The Greek root word used here is “Sozo.” It is the same word used for our English word “Salvation.” This word means a spiritual and eternal rescue granted immediately by God for those who believe in Christ! It is the current experience of God’s power to those who believe in Christ! It is God’s power to deliver us from sin and death! What death are we talking about here? It is the second death or eternal judgment made by Christ Himself! Remember Jairus daughter and Lazarus were raised from the dead but they died a physical death again! Lightening can strike twice! I was delivered from my death bed in 1973 and have served Christ for the past 44 years but I will experience another physical death! Remember what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 5:5? Remember the congregation member living with his father’s wife? Verse 5: “To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the Spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.” Remember Physical death is Satan’s work not God’s work! Death is the result of sin! If Salvation was a rescue of our physical bodies here on earth then we would never die again while here on earth! At the resurrection we will receive glorified bodies that will never get sick or die! Remember at the Judgment seat of Christ some Christians will lose their rewards but not their Salvation! When some Christians get to Heaven will they be on probation? Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us! Jesus went back to Heaven to pray for us, send the Holy Spirit and prepare a place for us! He will come again! You cannot go there unless you have Salvation with a new body and a redeemed soul! He can provide that to you because of Calvary! The Easter message is about this hope we have in Him and His promises to those who accept Him as Savior! Our hope is in Him! Our past is in Him! Our present is in Him! Our future is in Him! He is the same yesterday, today and forever! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
