Who is God? Daniel 12:3

A very good question! There are a lot of different answers to this question. Some people say, “There is no God.” Your answer to this question will determine how you treat other people and where you will spend eternity! Our belief about who God is will also determine whether we worship God or worship ourselves. If we love God then we will love people! We have three major religions in this world. They are opposite each other, therefore they cannot be all true! Let me explain; 1. Christianity says, “That God died for man.”  2. Islam says, “That man must die for God.”  3. Hinduism says,  “That God is who you make Him to be in your mind.”  4. Christianity says, “That God made man.” Islam= Self-worship  Hinduism= Self-worship  Christianity= God’s grace  Self-worship is you trying to do for God what God has already done for you!  Grace is God doing for you what you cannot do for yourself!  By grace you are saved by faith and not of yourselves! See Ephesians 2:8  We all make mistakes! My worst mistake was rejecting Jesus Christ! My best decision was accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior! Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am?” Who do you say Jesus Christ is? See Matthew 16:16. Islam Joins Nazi Germany 1941

Arab Muslim leader Grand Mufti Amin al-Husseini meets Adolf Hitler on November 21, 1941. The chief Muslim, Islamic legal religious authority and Muslim Leader from Palestine meets the Nazi Fuhrer. Prior to this meeting, in June 1940 he offered his services to the Nazi Reich government. In 1941 he went to Berlin through Tehran, where he explained to the German ambassador, Erwin Ettel, his plan to bring all Arabs under the banner of Pan-Arab over to the side of the Axis (2 Jun 1942). Here he came out unconditionally for the “final solution” of the Jewish question, calling for Germans to wipe out all Jews, “not even sparing the children.” He intervened with Nazi’s to prevent the escape to Palestine thousands of European Jews, who were instead sent to death camps. He also conspired with the Nazi’s to bring the Holocaust to Palestine. He also ran the Nazi’s Arab-language propaganda radio broadcast out of Berlin which incited Muslim’s to kill Jews wherever you can find them! PTSD Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

All of our returning veterans can suffer from this disease! Why does it only manifest itself when our veterans return and not in the combat theater? When they return the threat is gone! Bonnie Gray has some interesting insights into this problem! Combat veterans are trained to survive using their weaponry. When they return home the threat is still in their minds from training, combat experience and long periods of exposure to battle field conditions! So the first thing they do when they get home is buy a weapon for security from the threat! They are depending on their own works to protect themselves! We as Christians also must not depend on our own works! Yes, Faith without works is dead but works alone will result in dead works! We need to allow for whitespace which is simply spending quality time with God in prayer, Bible study and church attendance! God Blesses our work if we rely upon Him and commit the work to Him and through Him! Grace is God doing for you what you cannot do for yourself! Suggest you buy her book! Humility For Pride! John Chapter 13

During Jesus last 3 years of ministry He would sometimes  say my time has not come yet! However in John Chapter 12 we see a change where Jesus says my time has now come! The word time means to honor! The word honor means to promote! Jesus promoted you from Hell to Heaven! Jesus promoted His Father! Jesus got promoted and is seated at the right hand of our Father today interceding for us in prayer! What is our response to Christians being beheaded around the world?  How do we respond to violence? Jesus said those who live by the sword will die by the sword! Jesus was also living in violent times! Jesus life was just not hanging around shepherds anchored to green pastures!  The Romans ruled through fear and violence! The same for the Middle East today! In Jesus day swords, spears and crosses ruled the day! The good Samaritan got beat up! Mr. Rogers could not have lived in this neighborhood! John 13:3-5 Why was this foot washing so offensive to Peter and the disciples? In the Jewish culture only gentiles could wash a Jews feet! A Jew could never wash another Jew’s feet! Jesus stepped on their pride! Never let your culture separate you from God! Jesus was never careless with His authority. He used it to draw people to God! Jesus shows us and His disciples that serving confronts our pride! Sometimes we have pride we are not even aware of! Pride hung on the religious and political rulers but could not cling to Jesus! Matthew 6:1-4 Jesus warned us not to let acts of kindness be seen of men. Give in secret! When was the last time you served in secret? There are 3 ways to serve. 1. Serve to be seen by others. 2. Serve in secret but to be proud of it! Self  righteous! 3. Serve in secret as worship to God! Do we serve to impress God? Serve in pride? Do you think you are better than those you serve? John 13:34-35  Jesus gave us a new commandment! It covers the other ten! Love one another! I thought just my family and church members? Help those who cannot help you! Serving others is the most powerful witness to the world! The watching world will never agree with all our theology but are fascinated with our behavior of helping others! Serve the widow’s, orphans and the hurting! The one’s nearest us know us best! How do the one’s closest to you describe you? Do they call us servants? He who is greatest in the Kingdom of God is servant of all! Carl Marks had a philosophy but it was not a reality? He got his best friend’s wife pregnant and then sent the baby to an orphanage! Story Behind 21 Coptic Christian Beheadings!

Our church supports Pastor’s in the Middle East. Our Pastor in Egypt gave us some details about these executions. ISIS rounded up a group of Christian’s then one by one asked them to deny Christ or die! Out of this group these 21 men would not deny Christ! Notice there were no women executed? Muslim’s will keep the women for sex slaves either for themselves or sell them to other Muslim countries! A lot of young girl’s have been sold to the surrounding area’s such as to Saudi Arabia and others! Under the current political situation here in America some of us may have to make this choice also! Creation Versus Evolution! Genesis 1:1

Meat left out too long will bear maggots or mold? These days we know the maggots hatch from fly eggs and the mold grows from spores that are carried in the air. However in the past the fuzzy growth and the wiggly bodies were believed proof that whole organisms could spontaneously arise from rotten meat or certain types of inanimate matter. In the early 1860’s French chemist Louis Pasteur proved that such spontaneous generation did not occur, but instead the air itself was full of bacteria, spores and other forms of reproducing life. In 1859 Charles Darwin promoted the notion that life forms were ever changing evolving into new species over time. Pasteur’s experiments and Darwin’s theory led to opposing conclusions regarding the origin of life here on the earth. Pasteur claimed that through his scientific experiments  that there was support for belief that God created life!  Just as life could not arise from spontaneously animate matter the first life on earth could not have arisen without the help of a Divine Creator! Source: Space.com   Comments: According to Genesis 1:1, God created the Heaven first. The word Heaven comes from the Hebrew word, “Shamayim.” The word means the sky, clouds and atmosphere or air. Air itself has life and sustains and produces life! Try living without it ! I will never belief any theory whether Darwin’s or any other unless backed up with facts! If you get the origin of life wrong your whole perspective on life will be wrong and your decisions throughout life will be based on error! If you get this one wrong you get everything wrong!
