Why do our prayers have a great value to God? Does God need our prayers? Why are they a great value to him? Prayers are a sacrifice! We could be doing something else! Right! I have the laundry to do! I need to fix my car! I have to run to the grocery store! I have to be to work! Today is my only day off! What is Jesus doing right now at the right hand of the Father? Interceding for the Saints! His sacrifice for us did not stop at the Cross! Jesus right now is at the right hand of the Father doing what? Praying for the Saints! He could be doing something else! His sacrifices for us continue! The Kingdom of God is a sacrificial system! When you pray you pray for others also! You sacrifice your time, money, body, soul and spirit for others! Satan sacrifices others for himself! God has sacrificed himself for you! The Cross! Just opposites! Light and darkness! What we do with sacrifice determines who we follow! Judas sacrificed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver! Some politicians will sacrifice people for their gains! Others will sacrifice themselves for the people! A pastor will either sacrifice people for his gain or will sacrifice his life for the people! Do I sacrifice myself for my family or do I sacrifice my family for gain? Prayer Points!
Our prayer points to heaven! On earth as it is in heaven! The two will become one when Christ returns to earth and Satan is bound for a thousand years! However prayer can bring heaven down to you in your hour of need! Prayer is not talking at God! It is not a one way street! It is not a give me list! It is not a let us make a deal and try to hold God hostage by saying if you do this for me then I will do this for you! Prayer is a two way conversation with God! You speak and then you listen! Satan lies and tries to tell you who God is not! Did God really say? Scripture memorization is important to apply in your prayer life to remind God who he is and his promises to you! As a child reminds his father who he is so God likes to be reminded of who he is! Remind Jesus who he is! Your Savior! Remind the Holy Spirit who he is! The presence of God in your life! You pray the scriptures back to God for his pleasure and your joy! There are hundreds of scriptures with promises to you but do you repeat any to them in prayer? Pray and listen! Let God confirm your requests with signs and wonders! Prayer is waiting on God for his promises to you! Make your requests be known unto God! Sometimes the requests are done immediately and then sometimes over days, months and years! Do you have the gift of patience from God? Prayer cannot be fast food where you get it over with and move on! Prayer changes things but mostly us! If God does not answer your prayer do you still trust him? Jesus prayed if at all possible remove this cup from me but nevertheless thy will be done! The real joy comes in waiting on God! To be in his presence! To desire no other place and no other time! One day time shall be no more! Time in the Greek means “to honor.” If we honor him on earth then heaven awaits us to honor him there! To dishonor him here is to be separated from him forever! The Old Hymn writer understood the truth as he wrote, “Take Time to be Holy Speak Often of His Word!” When you give God’s Word back to him in speech and obedience he confirms to you that you belong to him! We are to read his word, obey his word, study his word and speak his word! God created the heavens and the earth by his spoken Word! The most neglected part of the life of most Christians is to neglect speaking his Word! You can deny being a Christian even if reading and studying his Word but everyone including Satan will know you belong to Christ when you audibly speak his Word to God in prayer and to everyone else you meet while on this earth! Prayers of the Saints!
Revelation 8:3-5 Comment: Chapter 8 begins with 30 minutes of silence in heaven! Now there are women in heaven what this is referring to is a listening time for the prayers of the Saints both men and women to be confirmed! At this point in the Tribulation period Jesus is no longer interceding for the Saints on earth but taking their prayers and confirming them with the will of God to execute judgment on the earth! At this point Jesus role is changed from Savior to Judge! Notice the unity of the prayers of the Saints in heaven and on earth! These prayers are not about saving poor uncle charley down here on earth! These are prayers for judgment to fall on the earth and revenge the persecutors of the Saints! The prayers of the Saints at this time are input to Christ to release judgments into the earth! Their prayers are affirmed by the heavenly incense which God has provided shows he is in agreement with the cries of the Saints! At this point the door of mercy has been closed! Have you closed the door of mercy on your life? Jesus is knocking and wants to open the door for you! When physical death comes to us as it will for everyone the next second you will appear before the Throne of Christ! You will appear either to a Savior or a Judge! What you did with Christ while still living on this earth will determine your outcome! Joined with Christ forever or separated from him forever? The choice is yours to make! You determine your place in eternity by your own choice! Heaven or Hell? It is that simple! Lead us not into Temptation!
Pope Francis wants to change this section of the Lord’s prayer to: “Keep us from falling into temptation.” I do not have any problem with this semantics however the word we need to pay attention to is “Temptation.” In James 1:13 it says God cannot be tempted neither does he tempt any man! Why? Because there is no sin in him and he is Holy! Satan is the father of sin and executer of all sin! What did Jesus mean by “Lead us not into Temptation?” What Jesus meant with this model prayer to the Father is lead us not into denying Christ! The only unpardonable sin is to deny Christ! Every other sin can be forgiven! To deny Christ is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit who is part of the Trinity along with Christ! I touched on this topic in January of 2018. You can type in on our search box of our blog, “Hour of Temptation! Revelation 3:10”, and it will take you to this posting. So in Revelation 3:10 what did Jesus mean by keeping us from the hour of temptation? Keeping us from denying Jesus! The 21 Coptic Christian believers who were beheaded last year were kept from the hour of temptation! Christ will give us strength not to deny him! So what are the forces in American culture that put pressure on you to deny Christ! There are many! Popular culture in Hollywood, Political correctness, political left, liberal media and social media, educational teaching of atheism in evolution, humanism, socialism, abortion, racial supremacy, anti-colonialism, gay marriage, lesbians and transgenderism! These are not all but the more obvious! These are the principalities and powers of darkness that will tempt you to deny Christ! So how do we resist the Devil? The same way Jesus did! With the Word of God! It is written man shall not live by bread alone! It is written! It is written! If you do not know your Bible you are hanging out on a limb! An eternity at stake! Jesus came to deliver us from our sin! The only way you can thwart God’s love for you is to deny him! So who would be so foolish? Many! Bar Church & Grille
There was a small little church in a tiny little town in southern Alabama! It was a clean little community with no vices! This rich man from the big city was franchising sports bars across America! He was an atheist and did not respect any religion! So he picked their little town for his next bar location! The community was up in arms about this project! But he won the law suit and construction began! After the bar was about 90 percent completed the little church got together and decided to do an all night prayer meeting to stop this project! In the middle of the night a big storm came over their community! A bolt of lightning struck the bar and it burned down! The rich atheist immediately filed another law suit blaming the church for it’s destruction! The church members claimed they had nothing to do with this fire? The day of the trial the judge called down the two lawyers to his bench! He told them I really do not know how this case will turn out? We have a professing atheist who believes in the power of prayer and we have a church who does not believe in the power of prayer? Pastor Robert Jeffress

Hebrew Translation: “Teach me by laying a foundation established and erect controlling me which leads me down the road of life. O Lord; I will walk faithfully and stable in thy truth; unite my heart in the totality of my inner nature to reverence and respect your name.” Comment: We like Jesus disciples have struggled with this scripture! Like Jesus disciples we sometimes do not walk stable following him! We waver in faith getting off the road that leads to life! The disciples would sometimes get off the foundation! Their heart was not always united with Christ! Reverence and respect for his name was not always there! Peter denied Jesus even though he told him he would die for him! He eventually did in Rome years later! Jesus told us to go out into all the world and preach the Gospel! We say let the church do it! Let an organization do it! Pay them so I do not have to do it! Our gift’s God has given us cannot be used unless we do what Jesus told us to do! At the feeding of the 5000 Jesus asked the disciples what do they have? The disciples wanted to send the crowd away! We do not have money to feed this large crowd? Cancel the meeting! Send them home! The disciples were perplexed? They can buy their own food! A little boy in the crowd came prepared! He had more than enough for himself! He had a little faith! Enough faith to give Jesus everything he had! The little boy gave his all! He had the gift of 5 loaves and 2 fish! Bring what you have to Jesus! God will multiply it! Let God bless what you have! Really what he has given you! Doesn’t seem like much but enough! He will multiply it to feed everyone! God is greater than what you have! Have you figured this out yet? Do something with what God has given you! With your life! Don’t waste it on drugs and go to work! With the left overs from a miracle you can feed even more people! Twelve baskets full! Israel had twelve tribes and Jesus had twelve disciples! God can build a nation out of left overs! God can build a church with left overs! God has more than enough for your family! He has more than enough for your church! God can bless you if you bring all you have to him! Peter build my church! Do you want to distribute God to the world? Or keep him for yourself? Sow the seed you have! Do not eat your seed! Share and multiply what you have! The rich young ruler was not able to do that? He valued his possessions more than God! I don’t need to tithe and make offerings? The possessions God had given to him he could not give back! If you give to God what you have he will do more with it than you ever could by yourself! The graveyard is full of excuses! Even David who wrote this Psalm waivered at times! Jesus never did! Wait on God but not on anything else! Do what God has called you to do! Help the needy and the lost! Go after those the world has rejected! Pray and agree with God! Jesus had every excuse to quit! The crown of thorns was very painful! The betrayal of his disciples was painful! His back cut open and bleeding was painful! His Cross was heavy! Your will be done! God’s will is not easy! Jesus had no excuses to die for you! Do you have any excuses not to live for him? He gave his all! Can you? Be faithful! Stand up for our flag and take a knee for Jesus in prayer! Greek Translation: “Then goeth he, and takes with himself seven spirits that are strange, foreign, teaching with different doctrines unequally yoked together more wicked with malice and mischief, more demonic than himself, and they enter in and live permanently there: and the lowest and furtherest and final state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be unto this wicked generation.” Comment: Remember Jesus cast seven evil spirits out of Mary Magdalene in the Book of Luke? Then she became Jesus disciple! Jesus cast devils out of people and they became his disciples! In 21st century America what would be seven evil spirits you could identify today living in our culture? The spirits would be strange or foreign to the believers in Christ teaching opposition to our scriptures as found in our Holy Bible! These spirits would be unequally yoked together wicked with malice and mischief! Judge Kavannah touched one of these evil spirits called abortion! He had a snake by the tail. How about Darwinism which opposes creation? Opposes a belief in God’s existence! Gay marriage, lesbianism, transgenders, socialism, fascism and how about Islam? There are more than seven evil spirits but those are the top ones! One of the real conflictions in America is that these spirits are not resisted from the pulpit’s of America! Why? There are some exceptions but most Pastor’s play the political correct game! Why? Because these evil spirits are linked to a political party! The Democrats! Since the churches across America took the bait for the 501c deduction they fear losing there tax exemption? Is the love of money worth sacrificing our culture? You cannot defeat Demons pretending they do not exist? My suggestion to American Christian’s is to bind these foul spirits in prayer everyday! Make this part of your prayer life! Encourage your Pastor to speak out on these issues and confront these issues with the scriptures! Raise up a standard against them! Our mid-term elections are coming up in November!
