Bless or Curse?

First of all the blessing comes from God and the curse comes from Satan! Two opposites from two different sources! In the Old Testament there are twelve different Hebrew words used for our English word ‘curse’. There are five different Greek words used in the New Testament. Which word used depends on context but the same English word is used in every case by the translators. Nothing wrong with that but a need to know! The word curse means to appear worthless or small. To feel insignificant! You feel like circumstances are in your way that stop your progress! That is why some abandon their families! It could be a sworn statement about you in a court of law! It is an effort to undo your blessings! However these are feelings and if we live by them disaster comes! We are to live by faith! Another meaning for the word curse means to bore a hole or puncture! The Cross! Jesus was cursed for our iniquities! It means to be marked for death by extermination! The disciple Thomas would not believe Jesus was raised from the dead unless he could feel his scars in his side! Jesus was bruised for our iniquities! So where did the curse really begin? It began in heaven! War began in heaven and continues down here on earth! Lucifer the fallen angel had the highest position in heaven next to God leading the Praise and worship there! He was the Praise leader! The choir leader! Yet somehow and at some point he felt insignificant? Ever feel that way? He wanted more! I remember my grandfather who was a wealthy man tell me the more I give my kids the more they want! It never ends? Lucifer wanted to be God and at that moment he became Satan! The religions and ideologies of this world want to make you God for your destruction! When you reject Christ your blessings end and your curses begin! Lucifer said I will be God I will be like the most high! He led a rebellion in heaven and got one third of the angels to follow him! They were cast out of heaven to earth and then hell on earth began! So Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden were enjoying the blessings of heaven here on earth and who comes along to make them feel insignificant? Satan! Surely God has not said you will die if you take of this fruit? God is a liar! You can be God if you eat of this fruit! The bait Satan uses to get us to sin is the feeling of insignificance and pride! The Pastor that feels insignificant steals church funds (Judas), or has an affair with a member of the congregation! The drug dealer dropped out of school but now with his weapon controls territory and has an income and feels significant! Any challengers to his authority die! Insignificant people buy lottery tickets! If I have money I will then be important! Men plot to overthrow governments so they can be in charge! Men abuse people and murder people to stay in power! After retirement I felt insignificant! Even though I got a check every month it was as though I lost my purpose? No longer part of an organization with purpose! This is why it is important to develop ministry purpose in your local church! That will continue on after retirement! Part of my purpose is our web site and blog! No one retires in heaven! Neither his Saints on earth! John 3:16; For God so loved the world that he gave… God first loved you! He has purpose for your life! When you find Christ you find your purpose! Jesus has purpose because he serves you! Whether on earth or in heaven! What is he doing right now as he prepares for his second coming? He is seated at the right hand of the Father praying for the Saints here on earth! Praying for you! For me! If you are a believer in Christ you are on his prayer list! Jesus served you on the Cross! Are you serving others or just yourself? The author of purpose and significance is God! The author of insignificance is Satan! Which voice are you going to follow? You will follow someone! Christ or the Anti-Christ! The religions and ideologies of this world oppose Christ! Do you oppose Christ? If so why? Credit Card Praise! John 5:43

Jesus did not come in his own name! He came from Heaven to earth in his Father’s name! Jesus told the crowd that you receive me not? However if another shall come in his own name you will receive him? Jesus whole walk on this earth was to give his Father the glory! What much of the world cannot stand is for you to come to them in Jesus name! If you tell the world my name is Frank, Sally or George they have no problem! But if you come to them in the name of Jesus all Hell breaks loose! Most people have a Visa or credit card. The bank that has given you the card has given you a loan or some credit! If you took the name of the bank off the credit card it would be worthless! You purchase by credit in the name of the bank! Your name on the card by itself would not even buy you a can of beans! Our power and authority does not come from our own name but from the name that is above all names! When we call on Jesus name it gets the attention of the Father just as a charge on your Visa gets the attention of the bank! Without the recognition of the bank or the recognition of the Father your request will be denied! The Father listens for the name of Jesus from your lips! Some people curse rather than praise Jesus! Do people go around cursing their bank? Your credit rating is all about you honoring your bank by paying back the loan! How much credit do you give Jesus for your life? How is your spiritual credit rating? Have you refused to give the credit for which he has paid out to you on the Cross for your sin? The debt was paid by him! Your debt! I Am That I Am! Exodus 3:14

The Hebrew word for this English phrase is “Hayah”. Strongs # 1961. This Hebrew word is also related to another Hebrew word “Havah”. Strongs #1933. What is interesting is that these words are not nouns but verbs! So they represent an action or initiation of something! The first word describes God as “to exist.” He always was and always will be! He does not fade off into history like men! The second Hebrew word used means to “breathe.” Do not confuse this word with the two Hebrew words used in Genesis 2:7 and Genesis 6:17. In Genesis 2:7, Strongs #5387, the word breath means a Divine inspiration with intellect. The word breath used in Genesis 6:17, Strongs 7307, means a violent exhaustion of air and spirit. Like giving up the ghost! At Creation God the I Am That I Am, initiated his breath into man with Divine inspiration and intellect! At Noah’s flood in Genesis 2:7, the word breath means a violent exhaustion of air and spirit by death! At birth we receive God’s breath! At death we exhaust God’s breath! At Creation our life is established by his breath! We are established with his breath! We did not evolve! So our breath is not our own! So you have to be careful what you say! Some people have bad breath! Do we praise God or curse him with bad breath? Do we exalt God or ourselves? Every good or evil action is initiated with the breath of our words! Again our breath is not our own! Who is the owner of your breath? When Jesus raises us from the dead again one day we will have breath again! Both believers and unbelievers! Remember the story Jesus told of Lazarus and the rich man? It is found in Luke 16:19-31. Lazarus the beggar was taken to Heaven and the rich man to Hell. There was a great gulf between the two abodes! The rich man begged Abraham to warn his brothers still on earth to the Hell that awaits them unless they repent! Abraham told the rich man in Hell that his brothers had Moses and the Prophets! Abraham told the rich man that if they will not believe them then they will not believe one though raised from the dead! So God was really telling Moses to tell Pharaoh that I am the breath that all men have! I am the God that breathes breath into men! I am the Creator of all living things! Pharaoh you have not evolved by your own works! Pharaoh since you are using my breath that I gave you do not abuse me in unbelief towards me! Jesus said we must be born again! I second breath or wind! Before being born again I cursed God with my breath! No I praise him with the same breath! Pharaoh rejected the God that gave him breath and he and his army was drowned in the Red Sea! In the time of Noah the world except for 8 souls were drowned in the flood! Remember Lucifer who became Satan the Praise Leader of Heaven? Remember the fallen Angel? He used the breath of God to Glorify God then he used the same breath to oppose God! He rebelled against God in Heaven and was cast down to earth with 1/3 of the angels! Now they use the breath of God to oppose his Kingdom here on earth! Satan has many followers over the generations that have lived since the Garden of Eden! Is your breath used to raise doubts about God or affirm him? After the resurrection of the dead we will have breath again! Some to everlasting life and some to judgment! The Praise of the Saints will be beautiful but the screams of Hell deafening! Remember this! What you did with God’s breath while here on earth will determine your outcome in eternity! You are not your own you have been bought with a price!If I were God I would be reluctant to give mortal men my breath! Very risky! Will they praise me or curse me? With the breath of God Jesus said on the Cross,” Father forgive them for they know not what they do”! Crucify Him! Worship! Job 1:10-12

Job is one of the most fascinating Books in the Bible! In these passages of scripture God and Satan are having a conversation about Job! Satan is reminding God that He has blessed Job and the work of his hands with wealth! Satan told God that if you take the wealth away Job will curse you and he will be just like me! So God granted Satan power over Job’s wealth and Job lost money and family! My Bible also says God gives us power to get wealth! Satan can only take it away if God gives Satan authority over your wealth! Remember in the Temptation Satan offered Jesus all the Kingdoms of this world if He would just bow down and worship him! We see in verse 20 that after Job lost everything he rent his clothes bowed down to the earth and worshipped God! Worship can never depend on how much we have or do not have! Wealth can drive us away from God just as easily as poverty! A true heart of worship has nothing to do with our circumstances! Jesus on the Cross was the greatest test of this truth! True worship is understanding the sacrifice God has made for us and to sacrifice for other’s as He has done for us! Our final destination is being in Heaven with our Christ forever! All our decisions need to be based on this fact! Jesus said the love of money is the root of all evil. Trust God and not money because money will perish and you with it if it is your God! Columbus & Cannibals! Ezekiel 5:7-11

Sunday November 4, 1492 “He understood that far from them, there were one eyed men, and others, with snouts like dogs, who ate men, and as soon as one was taken they cut their throats and drank their blood and cut off their genitals! The Admiral decided to return to the ship to wait for the two men whom he had sent out and to decide whether to leave and seek those lands.” Comment: We know from our Bible that cannibalism is a curse for sin! Historically cannibal is a name used to describe a set of Caribbean Islands (The Carib Tribe), who waged war on the Spanish Armada. The closest thing to cannibalism today in America is abortion! Does God Keep His Promise? Genesis 17:8

Abraham lived about 3600 years ago! God made a promise to him then that he and his descendants would inherit the Land of Canaan! Remember Canaan was one of the son’s of Noah who was cursed by God for exposing his father’s nakedness! So what Empires occupied and controlled the Land of Canaan over the last 3600 years since Abraham? The Empires of Babylon, Egyptian, Hittite, Assyrian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman (Muslims), French and the United Kingdom! Then in 1948 the Land of Canaan was declared the State of Israel. Since 1948 Israel has had to fight wars to secure her freedom! The still have to be vigilant as they are surrounded by their enemies! God does keep His promises and history and science defend the promises in our Bible! You Shall Be As Gods! Genesis 3:5

A very fascinating offer! Adam and Eve certainly knew there was only one God. This statement by Satan should have raised a red flag? Satan is suggesting to them there is more than one God and they are missing out on something? To know good and evil is something to be attained! How does one who is not God come to the knowledge of good and evil? Yes, by doing evil. Your good deeds do not offset your evil deeds. Our evil comes from disobeying God which is simply sin. Good is never enough when done out of your own works. Satan and one third of the angels rebelled against God and got a head start on Adam and Eve. Satan, his angels and Adam and Eve got an eviction notice. This whole family made gods unto themselves and opposite in character to God! Satan’s bait here was promotion. Hell is not a promotion. Satan and all humans are created beings. Rebellion against God is to deny the God who created you and set yourself up as God! The Tree of Life was the only remedy but God could not let them partake until His Christ would be manifested in the earth in flesh. Then the curse over man would be broken! Today we have a way God has provided for us through His Son Jesus Christ who paid the penalty(death) for our sin. Any way such as Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddism, ect, is all about making gods unto yourself and then worship yourself is a rejection of the Living God! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse.
