First when you look at the Greek this woman translates as a married woman! So why did the English translation say just woman instead of married woman? Because the translators use just one English word to translate from the Hebrew or Greek to best represent the meaning! From verse two she is pregnant so we can assume she is married however the woman riding the beast in Revelation chapter 17 represents Satan! She is also married but to Satan! In verse one here heaven is translated as God’s dwelling place which includes the sun, moon and the stars! So heaven is inclusive of God’s creation including us! This woman in her brilliancy is clothed with the sun, moon and stars! The word crown means a conqueror rather than a crown just worn on her head! So who is this woman married to? The number twelve is significant! Who represents the twelve stars? We have twelve apostles! We have twelve patriarch’s in the Old Testament! We have the twelve tribes of Israel. Many believe the woman represents the church for we are the bride of Christ! However some believe the woman represents Israel. Some others believe the woman represents the virgin Mary! She gives birth to the church though Israel. I have no problem with all three interpretations! If you make the church exclusive and end up with replacement theology church history has shown us you can become anti-Semitic then much harm can come to the Jews and God’s Kingdom through the church! Israel is included in the Book of Revelation with the 144000 Jews out of 12 tribes redeemed during the 7 year tribulation period! Studying the Book of Revelation is challenging but there is a special blessing for reading and studying this Book! (Revelation 1:3) Scholars say that there are more references to the Old Testament in this Book of Revelation than any other New Testament Book! Problem is the Apostle John does not directly quote these but weaves them into the Book! Many referrals to Book of Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah and the Psalms! Columbus & Cannibals! Ezekiel 5:7-11
Sunday November 4, 1492 “He understood that far from them, there were one eyed men, and others, with snouts like dogs, who ate men, and as soon as one was taken they cut their throats and drank their blood and cut off their genitals! The Admiral decided to return to the ship to wait for the two men whom he had sent out and to decide whether to leave and seek those lands.” Comment: We know from our Bible that cannibalism is a curse for sin! Historically cannibal is a name used to describe a set of Caribbean Islands (The Carib Tribe), who waged war on the Spanish Armada. The closest thing to cannibalism today in America is abortion! Russia And Ukraine In Bible Prophecy !
Can anyone stop Bible Prophecy? Can you stop the sun from rising in the east? Why would you want to stop it anyway? Satan would and has tried and is trying with much of the world with him! Satan has tried through killing Jews, Christians and through drugs, abortions, gambling and other crimes against humanity. But even Satan and his actions including putting Christ on a Cross fulfill Bible Prophecy! Even some Christians do not want Bible prophecy to come to pass so they can build their own Kingdoms! If you had a choice would you want Jesus to come back today and take over the world? How you answer this question would tell you a lot about who you are? if you are building God’s Kingdom you have nothing to worry about! It is very hard to make a long story short here! The reason it is so hard is because Bible prophecy is the main story of history. In Genesis 10: 1-2, you will find the genealogy of the sons of Noah. These references are also included in 1 Chronicles 1:1-5. Meshech is the Hebrew term where came the word Moscow. Tubal is considered to be associated with Russian people. Three times in the Old Testament the expression, “The prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal.” (Ezekiel 38;2, 39:1) Here is one of them that also mentions Gog and Magog; Gog and the land of Magog, the prince of Ros, Meshech and Tubal. Ross is the ancient Hebrew name Russ(blondes), who settled in the plains of ancient eastern Europe. They gave their name to the Russian nation. The official name of the Russian Federation(ROSSIYSKAYA FEDERATSIYA), bears the name similar to the Hebrew word Rosh. David writes in Psalm 120; “Woe is me that I sojourn in Mesech!” Islamic writings identify Ros as the son of Japheth. According to Mohammed writings he is the eldest son of Noah. They call him Aboultierk and ascribe him as one of the eleven sons who is Ros of the Russians. Those in Ukraine seem to have ties with the Medes. The nation of Georgia is made up of people called Iberians. The capital of Georgia is Tbilisi. This word is believed to have come from the word Tubal. People of Georgia claim to have descended from the great grandson of Japheth named Kartlos whose father has claimed to be Togarmah of Genesis 10:3. The Medes were once in the land of Media which was near Persia (modern Iran). The Bible uses the terms Medes and Persians five times. One example is Daniel 5:28. Remember in Acts 2:8-11 when the Medes are mentioned? The Medes and the Russians have a shared history. Today and in the future you are seeing the re-gathering of the Medes and the Persians in power surrounding Israel! If you read Daniel 8: 9-12, you will see this detailed. Russia and Iran will be the big players in these last days to battle against Israel and then lose! Eastern Europe and Western Europe have become dependent on Russian energy! Ukraine gets all of it’s natural gas from Russia. Russia is expanding power over Europe as America diminishes in influence over Europe. Russia along with China is building their military while for political reasons America is diminishing her military. We are not developing our oil and gas resources in America and cannot offer Europe an alternative. The case is closed as Bible Prophecy plays out! As we raise our kids, pay our mortgages and work our jobs it is easy to forget Bible Prophecy! Also many Christians are living in Ukraine and Russia and are suffering! Want To Build A Altar To God? Requires Blood! Genesis 35:1
The word for Altar in the Hebrew is the word, “Mizbeach.” It means the place of sacrifice by slaughtering an animal. The sacrificial system was at the focal point of the Israelite system of worship since the sacrifice and subsequent meal were used to solemnize a covenant or treaty to symbolize a position relationship between two parties. Noah built an altar and offered sacrifices on exiting the ark. The patriarchs built altars and sacrificed at various points along their journeys such as Abram, Isaac, Jacob and Moses. At Mount Sinai, God commanded that the Israelites build a tabernacle that included two altars; a bronze altar in the courtyard for sacrificing animals and a golden altar inside the tabernacle for burning incense. Solomon and Ezekiel followed a similar pattern. God also required that the altar for burnt offerings be made of earth or uncut stones so that human hands would not defile it. God also required that the altar would have no steps so that human nakedness would not be exposed on it. Notice that the blood required was not human blood but animal blood. In some religions including Islam human sacrifice is required. God never required us to commit another sin to try to cover our first sin. The blood of animals never did pay the penalty of death for our sin but pointed us to the God-Man Jesus Christ as the one and only sacrifice for our sin. Sermon On The Mount Series New Life Church
Matthew Chapter 5; The sermon on the mount is the most taught and least followed of all Jesus teachings! Jesus brings a new imagination ( image ) and a new people out of this sermon. Israel has a history of getting things wrong! They moved from holiness, sin, rebellion, repentance and back to holiness. The difficulty today is the church is just like Israel. Often we cannot tell the difference between the church and the world. Leviticus 18:1-4; God found us in Egypt! God did not want the Jews to be like Egypt or like Canaan. There are traps both in prosperity and bondage. Do not follow the practices of the world. The world is sinking sand. Build on the rock (Christ). The Jews wanted Samuel to give them a king. Why? Other nations had kings. We want to be like the world. God and samuel were greived. So they got Saul, David and a bunch of really bad kings out of forty. Ezekiel 20:6-8; It is possible not to lust, control your temper and live peaceably. Here is a summation of the sermon on the mount, “An invitation from Jesus to be like him and be set apart.” We are a covenant people serving a covenant God. As a mother feeds her baby through the umbilical cord so we are the branches attached to the vine. Moses could not follow the law! The sermon on the mount is not another set of rules. Jesus in you teaches you and enpowers you. John 15:5-6; Apart from me you can do nothing. Bare much fruit! Philippians 2:12; Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. God works in you! No individualism here but community. The disciples left the crowd but after Jesus changed their lives they went back to minister to the crowds! We are in covenant with God and the community. If we try by ourselves we will fail. Live with Jesus and others. No isolation from community in the covenant. The table of covenant is community. Together we servs the community. We serve each other and we serve Christ as He serves us! The Trinity of the covenant is serving community, each other and Christ!
