Babylon & Your Bible!

Why is the name Babylon important? God thought it was important enough to mention it 284 times in your Bible! That is a lot of scriptures containing this word! You might think because the name is mentioned so many times it deserves honorable mention? Not for its value but a warning to us of its destructive powers to any culture! The name appears first in Second Kings 17:24. The King of Assyria brought men from Babylon and planted them in Samaria! Verse 25 goes on to say they did not fear God and God sent lions in to consume them! This is one way to handle the illegal immigrant problem! We have moved to a place in America where very few people fear God! They work on Sunday and do not honor the Sabbath! Sixty years ago when I was a small boy growing up in Nebraska only the police department and the hospitals were open on Sunday! You traveled to church and no where else on Sunday! If you murdered someone you got the death penalty! The name Babylon means confusion! In the Hebrew Strong’s #894. However this Hebrew word has another Hebrew root word that helps us understand the name Babylon! This word literally means to mix yourself with God! That is you dilute God with yourself! Like diluting milk with water to get skim milk! You try to make yourself God! Like an atheist you decide what is right or wrong! You decide who lives or dies! Abortion! Holocaust! However God initiated the incarnation to mix himself with humanity through his only Son Jesus Christ! Then God had to sacrifice his only Son on a Cross to make us right with God! Remember Jesus was fully God and fully man! When the Jews were mixed with the ideology of Babylon God had to take them into captivity to Babylon for 70 years! In the land of confusion they discovered the truth of their God again and regained their heritage and were returned to Israel! Babylon is mentioned several times in the Book of Revelation! God is warning us that in the end times confusion will rule the world! Sexual identity confusion! Political confusion! Darwin/Creation confusion! Lawless confusion! The list goes on also here in America! When I went to another culture in India and lived for 3 years I discovered the great value of my Christ while living there! Babylon & Rome! Daniel 11:36-37

“The fall of the Roman Empire was a result of the effeminacy of a few in Carthage, a paradise for homosexuals, who infected the many. An act of Sodomy was prepared for the original movie, ‘Spartacus.’ The abhorrent presence of a few gays infected the good part of the Roman people.” Professor Roberto Mattei, July 31, 2013. “Actually homosexuality was accepted as a normal alternative in Babylon. Just as the Greek and Romans in later times. In fact the Greeks and the Romans took a lot of their customs as well as their religious beliefs from ancient Babylon. Many of the gods of the Romans had their roots in Babylon. Homosexuality was practiced and taken as normal in the ancient city of Babylon. The Romans also took the same sexual customs from the Babylonians homosexuality being one of them” Source: Yahoo Answers   Comment: Babylon fell in 539 B.C. Rome fell in 476 A.D. However the foul spirits of Babylon and Rome live on today with homosexuality, lesbianism and transgenderism being promoted in America and worldwide! In the Book of Revelation when the angel tells the Apostle John that Babylon is fallen and the Church in Rome with its seven hills is fallen this is future! However not very far off! How can you identify the apostate church today? By their promotion of homosexuality including not speaking against this sin!  We are having many church splits here in America because of this issue! So Babylon has been revived here in America! Daniel identified these signs of the end times and also revealed that the Anti-Christ will be gay and a Jew! So the followers of the Anti-Christ are preparing for him by the promotion of sexual perversions while the followers of our Jewish Christ are opposing these sins and being persecuted by opposing homosexuality just as the early disciples were persecuted by the Roman Emperors for opposing their homosexual activities! Babylon has Fallen! Revelation 18:23-24

It says in verse 23 that by her sorceries were the nations of the earth deceived! Sorceries is the Greek word for drugs! We get are English word pharmacy from this Greek word! It is also called by definition medication or a poisoner! Babylon is a literal place but it is also a world system led by the Anti-Christ! Notice according to verse 24 what violence was found in her! The blood of the prophets and the Saints! Do you remember the Tower of Babel? The word means confusion! Babylon is a economic, political and religious system that opposes Christ! The fall of Babylon is future yet to come! During the 7 year tribulation period! About 70 thousand young Americans died from drug overdose last year! More people lost in one year than we lost in the Vietnam War over a ten year period! Because of abortion and drugs America has a negative population growth today! Drugs poor in across our southern border everyday! Yet the Democrats do not seem to care? Illegal drugs are now legalized in some States with devastating consequences! Needles and syringes litter our inner city streets! Needles are supplied to them by our government! Disfunctional young people go on public support to  buy more drugs! Babylon is alive today but not well! The religious system of Babylon is Islam! We only have two of them in the House of Representatives and they are raising Hell! If they were in the majority we would have Afghanistan, Syria, Iran or Iraq! The political system of Babylon are the followers of Charles Darwin! Did you know the leaders of the Axis powers of WWII, Germany, Italy and Japan were all followers of Charles Darwin! The divide today politically here in America is between Creation and Evolution! We need the mind of Christ! A path to righteousness and eternal life! Without Christ you are a mindless wanderer in the wilderness being deceived by the lies and deceptions of Satan! God sent his only Son Jesus Christ into the world to deliver us from evil and the deceptions of the present world system! Jesus said we are to go out into all the world and preach the Gospel! Bring good news to a fallen world! Being a slave to sin is death but a slave to Christ is life! Everyone will be someone’s slave! God wants to save you and Satan wants to destroy you! Satan uses sin as his weapon! God uses the sacrificial blood of his Son to deliver you from sin! This is why Satan is blood thirsty for the Saints! Thoughts about the Star!

This star is not an astronomical object! The star appeared at the moment of Jesus birth. It was visible to the wise men of Babylon. If they saw the star over Israel, it would indicate it was not astronomical because stars do not rise in the west! They rise in the east. If it rose in the east it was very special because star gazers like these wise men would not have difficulty recognizing the planet Venus! Traditional images show the wise men traveling over the desert following a star. However Matthew 2 does not say they followed a star to Israel. In fact, it would appear, from their reaction, that the star newly reappeared in Matthew 2:9. How could a star go before the wise men? Bethlehem is to the south of Jerusalem! Stars do not move south. They move west. Stars do not settle over houses. The Greek word for star (Aster), implies something strewn! What could it be? What could it be that moves easily from west to east appearing as strewn light? A pillar of fire would be a good example! Remember the Shechinah Glory of light that moved with the Tabernacle representing the presence of God? This light could have been interpreted as a star! It is believed the wise men reached Bethlehem about 2 years after Jesus birth. That is why Herod ordered the murder of the children 2 years and younger! He turned the sun and time back for Joshua to win the battle! He opened the Red Sea for Moses and drowned the pursuing army with the same sea! Mary bore Jesus yet being a virgin! Jesus raised the dead and has promised to raise those who believe and trust him! Jesus himself was raised from the dead! Peter at midnight was delivered from the prison! Do I believe in miracles! Absolutely! Jesus delivered me off my death bed some 45 years ago! Is it a stretch to believe God at his word? It is a stretch not to! God who created all this can change anything or everything at his will! He transformed me from sin to righteousness with his atoning blood! Was it a star? All things are possible with God! He can create anyone he wants to! He can create anything he wants to at anytime at any place! He came to Bethlehem so he could prepare a place for you in Heaven! Why not follow Jesus to Heaven! Case Against Abortion Jeremiah 1:5

Hebrew Translation: “Before I formed you in the belly I intimately and personally knew you with your distinction between right and wrong. Before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified and morally consecrated you to me. I ordained you a Prophet possessing you with my Divine Spirit. A Prophet unto the non-Jewish (Gentile) nations.” Comment: Notice the non-Jewish nations (Gentiles)? The Jews rejected the message from God through Jeremiah and went into Babylonian captivity for 70 years! We could make a case here that we have a known existence by God before we were physically born into the earth! We were created in the Image of God! But before our birth? Jesus said we must be born again! We know the Trinity pre-existed creation! They were the cause of creation! However I do not support reincarnation! What the Hindus believe. So why would anyone one want to prevent a child from being born? Why at the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem did Herod order the slaying of all children 2 years old and under in the city trying to kill Jesus? Jesus said do not suffer or prevent the children from coming to me for such is the Kingdom of God! Today in America 500 children are murdered by their parents each year! Why over 57 million babies murdered in America since 1973? We have a missing generation of people! What political party would support this genocide? Why would our tax money be used to support the killings? Why would the Democratic Party be attractive to anyone? Because the Democratic Party has always supported immorality! Because it appeals to the sin of man! Whether it be slavery, Jim Crow laws, welfare, gambling, socialism, open borders, sanctuary cities for criminals or anti-law enforcement they have found a following of about 1/2 the U.S. population! Don’t work for a living! Live off the State! Protect illegal immigrants at a cost to their citizens! Government health care! State ownership of everything! The deep State control of every aspect of your life! State worship! Promoting the failed ideologies of Marx, Engels, Lenin and others! If we as Christian’s here in America want to maintain the control of our Constitutional liberties and the implementation of Biblical values then we have to take voting seriously! Support President Trump and those who value Biblical values! Kind of funny but a candidate who is running for office down here in Georgia said she supports both Republican and Democratic voters? Letter to Jerusalem! Isaiah 51:9

Hebrew Translation: “Awake Awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; awake as in the ancient times when you delivered us from the east. You delivered us from Babel and Babylonian captivity. You brought us out of darkness into light. You established an important point in time for our salvation. You delivered us from the sorceries and superstitions of Babylon. You took us out of the desert of Egypt. Your existence was before eternity establishing and delivering us. The beginning and end of our life cycle over generations has witnessed your good works. Our past and future is everlasting. No end! You wounded the serpent which desecrated your established laws. You have cut up and carved Rehab the god of Egypt for us. Comment: The God of Israel through Moses received the Ten Commandments from God carved in stone by God Himself! Looking Forward! 1 Esdras 5:38-39

When the Jews returned from Babylon captivity by the favorable Decree of the Persian King Cyrus they met many challenges to rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem! Here is a quote from verses 38-39. “Since they were unable to prove their ancestry, they were not allowed to function as Priest’s. Nehemiah the governor told them that they could not eat food offered to God until there was a High Priest who could use Revelation and Truth.” Comment: Ancestry was everything to the Jews! Tradition was the foundation of their life and worship! If you could not prove your ancestry as many Jews could not after returning from 70 years of Babylonian captivity you could not participate in Temple worship! Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses were in the Religious Hall of Fame! Rightly so! Jesus really threw the religious Jews a curve ball when He told them they must be born again! Jesus the High Priest with Revelation and Truth was looking them in the face but they did not get it? The religious leaders seemed blind? Yet the simple Jews such as Peter saw the light! How far does Jesus ancestry go back in time? All the way back to the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve! Remember the Tree of Life in the Garden? His humanity took their sin and fast forwarded it to you and me! His Divinity delivered you and me from sin! His humanity was sacrificed for you and me! Jesus was a Jew and of the tribe of Judah! That is prophetic! Ancestry.com should be renamed Death.com! Why were the Persian Kings (Iran), favorable to the Jews? The 3 wise men were from Persia! King Cyrus and Darius were favorable to the Jews! Why? God spoke to them! Why is present day Persia (Iran), not favorable to the Jews but want to destroy them? Very simple! Islam that came along in 650 A.D. Islam has given all of its followers a religious backing to kill. The Persians also invented the crucifixion so they prepared the method for the sacrifice for Jesus! Let us look forward! Is your name written down in the Book of Life? (Revelation 3:5) Are you born again? Washed in His blood? Jesus promised us to go prepare a place for us! Then He would return the second time to earth! He promised to send His Holy Spirit to us until He returns! When Satan tries to remind you of your past remind him of his future! Babylon is Fallen! Isaiah 21:9

Isaiah wrote this prophecy between 701-681 B.C. Babylon fell is 539 B.C. The Persian King Cyrus conquered Babylon allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple. Isaiah also wrote many Messianic prophecies about Jesus birth that came to pass hundreds of years later! Babylon was never rebuilt again even though many tried! The accuracy of the Bible is as accurate as the science God created! You can trust gravity and your Bible! There are many more prophecies in your Bible that have not come to pass yet but will such as Jesus second coming to earth! Your Bible is history waiting to happen! Whether you believe the Bible or not it still will come to pass! Don’t be on the wrong side of history with the unbelievers who will be proven wrong! Do not gamble your eternity! Let us not forget that the truth came to us at a great cost including God’s own blood! Isaiah was sawed in half by a timber saw by King Manasseh! Take Holiday Every Week! Hebrews 10:25

A Holiday is a Holy Day! The Sabbath Day is a special day set aside every week to rest in Christ! The 4th Commandment says, “Remember the Sabbath and Keep it Holy.” The Sabbath was made for man! For man’s benefit! A Jew could be put to death for violating the Sabbath! Jesus healed people on the Sabbath! Jesus said He is Lord of the Sabbath! The Jews could not gather manna on the Sabbath. God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th day! If God needs rest who are we? Jesus said if you love me keep my Commandments! The Sabbath begins on Friday at sunset and ends on Saturday at sunset. There was to be no light or fire on the Sabbath. Jesus was buried late Friday just before the Sabbath. So he was crucified on Friday. The Jews did not want his body on the Cross during the Sabbath!  So Jesus had a Sabbath day of rest in the grave! He arose from the dead on Sunday the first day of the week. For a Christian Monday is not the first day of the week it is Sunday! We begin each new week Sunday with God in worship in our local Church giving tithes and offerings of our income! Without God’s Blessing we would have no income! He blesses the rest of the week in a way we could not do by our own efforts! The seventh day is interesting but also the seventh year! The Jews were to release all slaves to go free on the 7th year. The Jews were not to work the land for crops on the seventh year! The land was to rest! The Jews were taken into captivity by Babylon for 70 years! If you divide 70 by 7 you get 10. Why ten? The Ten Commandments! For breaking God’s Laws they got 70 years! Jesus came to fulfill the Law! Since He was God He kept the Law and the sacrifice for our sin because he never sinned!
