Isaiah wrote this prophecy between 701-681 B.C. Babylon fell is 539 B.C. The Persian King Cyrus conquered Babylon allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple. Isaiah also wrote many Messianic prophecies about Jesus birth that came to pass hundreds of years later! Babylon was never rebuilt again even though many tried! The accuracy of the Bible is as accurate as the science God created! You can trust gravity and your Bible! There are many more prophecies in your Bible that have not come to pass yet but will such as Jesus second coming to earth! Your Bible is history waiting to happen!
