Jesus Second Coming! Matthew 24:40-41
“Then shall two be in the field, the one “be taken”, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall “be taken” the other left.” Comment: What we have here is a description of Jesus second coming to earth. The Greek word, Strong’s #3880 for our English word “be taken”, means to receive oneself to who you are associated with. Remember the rapture of the church has already occurred and the seven year tribulation period has concluded with the second coming of Christ back to earth! The ones left behind that have not been martyred during the tribulation period are kept for Christ and his millennium reign on earth! The ones taken are those reserved for judgment! Bar Church & Grille
There was a small little church in a tiny little town in southern Alabama! It was a clean little community with no vices! This rich man from the big city was franchising sports bars across America! He was an atheist and did not respect any religion! So he picked their little town for his next bar location! The community was up in arms about this project! But he won the law suit and construction began! After the bar was about 90 percent completed the little church got together and decided to do an all night prayer meeting to stop this project! In the middle of the night a big storm came over their community! A bolt of lightning struck the bar and it burned down! The rich atheist immediately filed another law suit blaming the church for it’s destruction! The church members claimed they had nothing to do with this fire? The day of the trial the judge called down the two lawyers to his bench! He told them I really do not know how this case will turn out? Jesus said persecution will come to you if you are a follower of Christ! Many places in the world Christian martyrdom is common! However in America the assault is growing on Christian’s! Here are the steps that lead to persecution in any culture! What was once celebrated is now condemned! Some examples? Crosses, traditional marriage between a man and a woman! Bibles! Ten Commandments! American Flag! Patriotism! Legal immigration! Borders! Nationalism! Military service! Sodomy laws! Sunday worship! Free speech! Right to bare arms! Prayer in schools! Free press! Visual displays of Christ! Verbal expressions of Christ in the public places! Litigation and fines against those that support traditional values! Social media blocking of Christian content on Facebook, Google and other media forms! So if you condemn what the Bible has expressed as evil then you will not celebrate the condemned then you will be condemned by the culture politically, socially and judiciously! Robert E. Lee Psalm 11:3
When President Lincoln tried to resupply Fort Sumter the Federal Fort in Charleston South Carolina harbor, the secessionists responded by bombarding it! Lincoln summoned an Army of 75 thousand men to suppress the rebellion and asked Colonel Robert E. Lee of Virginia to take command of it. What if Lee would have accepted? Lee repeatedly said he believed secession was treason! Georgia receded but only by a handful of votes. Lee was married to George Washington’s great granddaughter Mary Curtis. Lee lived in Arlington Virginia. Lee’s father, Henry “Light Horse Harry” was a famous American Revolutionary War Calvarymen and one of Washington’s favorite solders! Only 6 percent of the South owned slaves! George Washington enlisted thousands of black men into his Continental Army in 1776. He freed all his slaves in his will and ordered they be educated and trained in various skills! If Lee had accepted Lincoln’s offer how would have things changed? Possibly no civil war and Lee could have been elected President of the United States after Lincoln! Source: Historians History 6-24-13 Comment: So why tear down his statues? Lee (1807-1870) Comment: Can we start on the wrong side of history and end up on the right side of history? If the truth be known we all started on the wrong side of history! Otherwise no one would need to be saved! Ask the thief on the Cross! Today there are billions of people on the Cross in the valley of decision! Millions will get saved! My favorite example of a thief done straight is John Newton! You remember his song, “Amazing Grace.” He was captain of his own slave ship! Then in the midst of a storm on the sea when they were about to perish God showed him how wicked he was! He repented and returned to Liverpool England and joined a small church. This is where he wrote his famous hymn! In 1787 he wrote a book, “Thoughts upon the African Slave Trade.” This book helped William Wilberforce a Parliament member over a 20 year period abolish the slave trade! Suffering and Success! Acts 9:15-16
It seems that everyone is trying to show the world how successful they are! The American dream! Mansions, land, gold, money, private jets, limo’s, fame, status and the rest of the vanities! However though everyone wants it there is a problem? Success tends to put the spotlight on us rather than God! Our failures can put the spotlight on Jesus rather than us! God delivered me from the death bed! Jesus raised me from the dead! I was a street person but now He has given me a family and a home! No one else ever cared for me like Jesus! He loved me when no one else would! The disciples were afraid of Paul and rightly so but Jesus told them that Paul was going to be a great leader in the church and suffer many things for my name! In my weakness i find His perfect strength! Much of the modern church has adopted the ways of the world! Then they wonder why there is no power to do the things Jesus commanded them to do? What do the super bowl team owners have in common? Arthur Blank and Robert Kraft are both Jews! Even though the Book of Deuteronomy was written thousands of years ago the Words of the Bible still hold true! God promised His people that if they would keep His Commandments He would make them the head and not the tail. Christopher Columbus was a Jew! Do you see the word “Christ”, in the name Christopher? Columbus had a vision before his voyage that he would discover a land that would support the Jews and Israel. Welcome to Columbus Land! My Bible goes on to say the Salvation has come through the Jews! Jesus Christ’s incarnation into the earth is fulfillment of many Biblical Prophecies! Did you ever notice the enemies of the Jews and Christ want to behead people? To be balanced here i want to remind you that Karl Marx, Frederick Engels and Charles Darwin were all Jews with anti-Christ ideologies! I would also remind you that the Anti-Christ (One world ruler), during the tribulation period will also be a Jew! He will also be a homosexual as he will have no natural affection for women! This will be a real war on women! The war on women started in the Garden of Eden! So which Jew are you going to follow? You can follow Christ or someone else!
