This Do in Remembrance of Me! Luke 22:19

Commentary: Most people want to be remembered good or bad! We have a fear that we will never be remembered! Did you know God is the same way! That is because we are created in his image! We tend to remember the good things people have done for us and forget the bad things done to us! When you see a beautiful woman what do we as men remember? Right we are reminded that we are men! This gives us purpose just as a woman sees a man she is reminded that she is a woman! This gives us purpose! Men who try to become women and vice versa explains why their suicide rates are 5 to 6 times the rest of the population! They have lost their purpose to live! So our purpose is connected to remembering who we are! Did you know God likes to be reminded who he is! This is why we quote scriptures! Why we memorize scriptures so that when we pray we use scriptures to remind God who he is! Does God have a memory lapse? No! I like Psalm 103:3. “Who forgiveth all our iniquities and who healeth all our diseases!” My wife was in the hospital for 90 days! Everyday in prayer I reminded God and his Christ who he is! Now my wife is home with us! If you will remind God who he is he will remind you who you are! A creation of God and Jesus said he will never leave us nor forsake us! James & Hamsa Sasse. Who Touched Me?

Mark 5:29 “And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” Comment: After this woman touched the hem of Jesus robe he asked the crowd who touched me? The Greek word used for disease or plague here means the flesh has a softness or is a delicacy for disease! Disease thrives in our flesh! It is the perfect environment for death! The disease is acquired by contact! The Roman whip is related to this word! By his stripes we are healed! Jesus got 39 stripes on his back one for everyone of our diseases! This woman got the disease by contact but got healed by contact with Jesus! Our contact with sin leads to disease and death! Our contact with Jesus brings eternal life! Jesus went around healing the sick and raising the dead! I asked the Lord would it not be wonderful if you would come back now to America and raise the 65 thousand who have died from the Coronavirus? Jesus had to rebuke his disciples and that includes me! What do the scriptures say? Sorry Lord! After death the judgment! Some to everlasting life and some to everlasting judgment! I have already raised them from the dead! If Jesus would return today and raise the dead what would the liberal American press say? The same thing the press said in the first Century! The deceiver is back! They stole his body! He did not die! He is an imposter! He is here right now he did not die! What would the politicians say like Herod said? Crucify him! Follow not Jesus but my political party! Congress would craft a law to crucify him again! That is why Jesus will only come back at the end of the world’s destruction! The world trying to live without Jesus! Who are you in contact with? Satan or God? Who is your King? Jesus or who? Who do you follow? Yourself? I have decided to follow Jesus as the old hymn writer from India wrote years ago! Do you contact disease and death or the Savior? Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand! Man fights hard to keep his sin and death! If Jesus would return today everyone would be out of a job! Hospitals would be closed! Funeral homes would have to close! Why would not the world want this cure? They want to keep their power over men! They would have to turn from their wicked ways and repent! They would have to give up playing God! Perhaps we are learning that we cannot keep our jobs and the world system is not our Savior? Without faith it is impossible to please God! If America comes out from this epidemic with a strong faith in God then it will have been worth it all! If we could just believe! My concern is if we come through this pandemic and return to business as usual then we would have lost the lesson we should have learned through this suffering of our people! Just Call Me Angel? Revelation 9:11

Commentary: So in chapter nine we have an angel from heaven and an angel from hell! Wow! Can they be in both places! They are from very different places! Remember Satan or Lucifer is a fallen angel! An angel is a created being just like a human! That is why we are not to worship an angel! Jesus Christ is not a created human being! He pre-existed creation and is actually the creator of heaven and earth! He has no beginning and no end! So in the apocalypse described in Revelation  we see this angel from heaven releasing the angel of hell unto the earth for judgment of the inhabitants of the earth who have rejected Christ! This angel by definition is a King or monarch over the people of Hell! The word Abaddon is an inserted Hebrew word meaning angel of death and desolation. The Greek word Apollyon means a destroyer. So where did hell get all of its population? From the same place heaven got its population. From the earth! Since Easter is approaching what happened to Jesus during those three days in the heart of the earth? He preached to the captives! Jesus went to hell for you and me and preached to the captives there! It was an evangelistic crusade! Did he get any converts? Do you remember the rich man and Lazarus Jesus told us about in the Gospel of Luke? Lazarus the poor beggar while on earth was now in heaven! The rich man was in hell! A great gulf separated heaven and hell and no one could cross over! A border wall! The rich man wanted the Lord to go to his five brothers and warn them of this terrible place he was suffering in! The Lord said they have Moses and the Prophets! The rich man said if one would go to them raised from the dead they will listen! The Lord said if they will not believe Moses and the Prophets they will not believe one raised from the dead sent to them! Remember Jesus said Moses spoke of me! So the first place Jesus went when raised from the dead was hell! Even those in hell will confess Jesus is Lord and Savior but it will not help them! The disciple Judas betrayed Jesus so if Jesus could not save him who could? Those that have rejected God while on earth and now in hell do not have the moral capability to repent! So during this seven year Tribulation period before Christ’s second coming we see the judgments of the wicked on earth are punished by God releasing the inhabitants of hell back unto the earth so that the wicked consume each other! Their fallen condition perpetuates hell on earth! God through his Son Jesus Christ perpetuates heaven on earth as people repent of their sin! Jesus Christ the God/Man has power and authority over Heaven, earth and Hell!  Would we be so foolish as those in Hell and some living on the earth to deny his power who determines where we spend eternity? To reject his love is a serious mistake that can have eternal consequences for our soul! Christmas explains that God was born for us and Easter explains that God died for us and rose from the dead for us and lives in Heaven waiting for those who will call upon his name and repent while living here on the earth!   James and Hamsa Sasse. Why Suffer? Revelation 1:9

Greek Translation: I John, who also am among you a brother of the same womb (Born Again) and companion in tribulation. In tribulation of being broken, squeezed, crushed with the pressure of a burden upon my spirit in a confined space (Prison). And in the Kingdom of God under all circumstances with endurance towards people. I was in the isle of Patmos, for the Word of God and for the testimony being a witness, certifying and declaring Jesus Christ.  Comment: Suffering by the world brings death! Suffering by God has brought men Salvation! John suffered for a testimony of Jesus Christ! Suffering in Christ brings purpose in your life! To live is Christ and to die is gain! We have an interesting story about India. We spent two of our three years there on a remote mountain village named Yercaud in South India. They had an old English church up there that had the graveyard surrounding the church! I explained in a previous post why the British did this. Since I had to walk through the cemetery to get to the front door of the church I noticed some of the grave markers. There were two grave markers of a missionary couple from England that spent their whole life preaching the Gospel in India! But I noticed next to their graves was a little grave marker of a four year old girl. This was their daughter who died of malaria while ministering to the people of India! I wrote there names down and then inquired of the elders of the village if anyone knew about them? An old man in the village told me the story his grandfather told him many years ago. This couple had a powerful ministry bringing  hundreds of Hindus and Muslims to Christ! They had been appointed to a three year mission work to India. However after their daughter died there they spent the rest of their lives ministering in India! They decided their daughter’s death would not be in vain! Her sacrifice was not to be wasted! Jesus said, “This do in remembrance of me!” As we take the bread and the cup let us remember he did not let the cup pass from him! A sacrifice was provided to you for your Salvation! Case Against Abortion Jeremiah 1:5

Hebrew Translation: “Before I formed you in the belly I intimately and personally knew you with your distinction between right and wrong. Before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified and morally consecrated you to me. I ordained you a Prophet possessing you with my Divine Spirit. A Prophet unto the non-Jewish (Gentile) nations.” Comment: Notice the non-Jewish nations (Gentiles)? The Jews rejected the message from God through Jeremiah and went into Babylonian captivity for 70 years! We could make a case here that we have a known existence by God before we were physically born into the earth! We were created in the Image of God! But before our birth? Jesus said we must be born again! We know the Trinity pre-existed creation! They were the cause of creation! However I do not support reincarnation! What the Hindus believe. So why would anyone one want to prevent a child from being born? Why at the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem did Herod order the slaying of all children 2 years old and under in the city trying to kill Jesus? Jesus said do not suffer or prevent the children from coming to me for such is the Kingdom of God! Today in America 500 children are murdered by their parents each year! Why over 57 million babies murdered in America since 1973? We have a missing generation of people! What political party would support this genocide? Why would our tax money be used to support the killings? Why would the Democratic Party be attractive to anyone? Because the Democratic Party has always supported immorality! Because it appeals to the sin of man! Whether it be slavery, Jim Crow laws, welfare, gambling, socialism, open borders, sanctuary cities for criminals or anti-law enforcement they have found a following of about 1/2 the U.S. population! Don’t work for a living! Live off the State! Protect illegal immigrants at a cost to their citizens! Government health care! State ownership of everything! The deep State control of every aspect of your life! State worship! Promoting the failed ideologies of Marx, Engels, Lenin and others! If we as Christian’s here in America want to maintain the control of our Constitutional liberties and the implementation of Biblical values then we have to take voting seriously! Support President Trump and those who value Biblical values! Kind of funny but a candidate who is running for office down here in Georgia said she supports both Republican and Democratic voters? Do You Love Me? John 21:15-17

Greek translation: “Peter do you love me unselfishly to the point of sacrificing yourself for me more than these fish? Peter do you understand God’s love towards men even though they are His enemy? Yes Lord, I know I am your friend. Then shepherd, guard and protect my sheep. Then Jesus says a second time to Peter, “Do you love me to the point of sacrificing yourself to me and my work here on earth? Peter replied you know I am your friend. Jesus replied a third time, Peter are you my friend? Peter was grieved for Jesus asked him a third time and Peter replied, “Lord you know all things and you know I am your friend.” Jesus said to him then shepherd, protect and guard my sheep.” Comment: Two very different Greek words are used for the English word love in these passages of scripture! They are agape and phileo! Initially Peter did not understand God’s love Like most of us when we first come to Christ initially He becomes our friend! Peter probably thought since he betrayed Jesus just before the Cross three times Jesus needed to ask him about his commitment three times? Actually in Jewish Hebrew culture when something is said three times it is complete and not necessary to repeat anymore! Peter though because of his past he could be no more than just a friend! Could God forgive me? Peter answered this question later in his life as he was the leader of the Jerusalem church! Then later he was crucified upside down on a cross in Rome! Jesus was more than a friend to those 21 Coptic Christian men who were beheaded by ISIS last year! Peter finally understood God’s love for him! I have been a Christian for 45 years yet still with each new revelation I understand more of his love for me! Will we totally understand His love for us? After our resurrection from the dead we will learn more! During the millennium we will understand more of His love! We understand enough to feed His sheep here on the earth! The Joy Set Before Him! Hebrews 12:2

What is the difference between love and law? Jesus came to fulfill the law though love! If the only God you know is law then your attitude is I HAVE to obey and keep the Commandments! Even though you are miserable you have to do your duty! We must be in church on Sunday and keep the Sabbath! When we discover the love of God through Christ our attitude changes about worship! Now I WANT to keep the Commandments! I want to please God! He loves me and I do not want to disappoint Him! I love Him because He first loved me! I obey out of love! My attitude now is to love other’s as He has loved me! I take joy in suffering for other’s as He suffered for me! My present and future is in Him so I no longer have to store up stuff for myself! I can joyfully share what I have with other’s! I no longer have to store up anger, hate and worry to be released on other’s for He has taken it away and given me love to replace it! I am free now to do the Father’s will. Jesus endured the Cross with joy! Why? Because He loves you! He knew the return on His sacrifice would redeem billions of souls! However had the return only been you He would have done it! The same joy is available to you but you must forsake the things that are taking your joy away and take up your Cross and follow Jesus! Transubstantiation! Matthew 26:29

Perhaps you will say, I see something else, how is it that you assert that I receive the Body of Christ?…Let us prove that this is not what nature made, but what the blessing consecrated, and the power of blessing is greater than that of nature, because by blessing nature itself is changed… For that sacrament which you receive is made what it is by the Word of Christ. But if the Word of Elijah had such power as to bring down fire from Heaven, shall not the Word of Christ have power to change the nature of the elements?… Why do you seek the order of nature is the Body of Christ, seeing that the Lord Jesus Himself was born of a virgin, not according to nature? It is the true Flesh of Christ which was crucified and buried, this is seen truly the Sacrament of His Body. Before the blessing of the heavenly words another nature is spoken of, after the consecration the Body is signified. He Himself speaks of His Blood. Before the consecration it has another name, after it is called Blood. And you say Amen, that is, it is true. Let the heart within confess what the mouth utters, let the soul feel what the voice speaks. Saint Abrose of Milan (340-397 A.D.) Comment: This doctrine has been a Catholic doctrine for hundreds of years! We have to look at two words used in verse 29. The word kingdom in the Greek can include both Heaven and earth! That is it can mean God’s rule over the earth and His rule over the Spiritual eternal Kingdom in Heaven! Remember part of the Lord’s prayer is on earth as it is in Heaven! The other word used in this verse is the word new! The word means qualitatively new! That is the old man has become a new man! The Old Testament has a new quality! It has become the New Testament! The old Heaven has a new quality! It has become the new Heaven! The old earth has a new quality! It has become a new earth! Everything changed at the Cross! A change took place in me when I came to the Cross! The changes are still taking place in me some 45 years later! It is a continual work! A daily reformation! Are we going to take Communion in Heaven? How about at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? Some say well we will not because we will be with Jesus! Is Jesus not with you right now? Jesus said this do in remembrance of me! Do we need to remember what He has done for us in Heaven? When I take Communion here on earth what do I remember? I remember how bad I am and how good God is! I remember the price He paid for my sin! I remember I deserved death and He gave me life! I remember how hopeless and lost I was and He rescued me! Will I forget these things in Heaven? No way my friend! You see His love for me changed everything! His love for me caused me to love others! If I am that valuable then others must to valuable too! My same motivation to worship Him on earth will be the same motivation in Heaven! Ever Communion Service renews my relationship to Him! It is like being born again again! Paul warned us not to crucify Him again! We are to examine ourselves before Communion! Paul meant we are not to continue sinning after Communion! Whether the elements of the Communion are the actual Blood and Body of Jesus is not the issue with me! We can reject Christ even while taking Communion! Our heart can be somewhere else! Away from Him! So how can we test any Theology? Does the Theology move us closer to Christ or farther away from Him? If Communion causes me to feel free to sin because my slate will be clean at the next Communion Service then we have a license to sin! Does your love for Christ want you to please God and forsake your sin? Why did Lucifer rebel against God? Lucifer a created being like us that was the Praise Leader of Heaven and forsook his position and was cast out of Heaven with 1/3 of the Angels who became Satan? Lucifer looked at his job as a position only not in relationship to God! It was just a job and love was absent from his relationship to God! So self moved on the throne of his heart and rebellion followed! We attended a large church in Colorado Springs for 3 years. Pastor Brady Boyd had the congregation take Communion every week! This was a lot of work for there were about 5 thousand members! So what did this do for me? It brought to my remembrance more often what Christ had done for me and what He is doing for me today!
