Keep! Ask! Please!
1 John 3:22 “And whatsoever we [ask], we receive of him, because we keep his [commandments], and do those things that are [pleasing] in his sight.” Commentary: Let us look at the bracketed words in the Greek. The first word “ask”, is a unique word. It means making a request based on equal footing with the giver that is what he has is also mine! Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you in heaven! What he has is already mine! This is the covenant! Jesus died on a Cross over two thousand years ago yet all those born before him or after him can have what he has! Redemption! Eternal life! Blessings! Ask and it shall be given you pressed down and overflowing! The promises of God are already given to us we cannot earn them just have the faith or trust in God to receive them! In the natural we ask something from someone because we do not have what they possess! You already have the possessions of God you need to activate them through faith! Without faith it is impossible to please God! Sometimes we ask amiss! We ask for things we already have! The second word “keep” means to help and watch over guard and preserve! This is what we should be doing with the Word of God! When popular culture says homosexuality is good we lift up a standard against the lies of Satan with the scriptures! The third word “commandments”, means a lawful order issued by the Commander! If you have been in the military you will better understand this word! The Commander sets all priorities! While in the military the Commander of our military unit called me to his office one day! What now? Am I in trouble? He told me I was to only worry about what he worries about! Dismiss any other worries! My only concern should be his concern! Then we will be on the same page and you will be a good soldier! Your ten worries are as follows! First you! Then the list went on and by the time he was done I came out of his office a new man! We are to be concerned with Jesus Commandments! Love your enemies! Treat other people as you want to be treated! Love your neighbor! Forgive as you have been forgiven! Who is your commander? God? Satan? Self? Our final word is “pleasing”. To please God means to be in agreement with God’s Word! We ask in accordance with it, we keep it guarded and preserved, follow the orders of our Commander, and please God by being in agreement with his Word! Evolutionary Fantasy Land! Genesis 1:1
What extremes people like Charles Darwin will go to deny the existence of God! What non-sense theories they come up with to support their unbelief! I have shard with you before that science has now proven that the heaven and the earth are the same age! Science has shown us this for some time now! Science verifies Genesis 1:1. What really gets crazy and even more unbelievable is if we apply the Evolutionary model to the whole universe not just the earth! If you did that and after billions of years of development these planets should have an equal outcome! That is every planet should be exactly like planet earth! However our earth is the same age as mars, the sun and the moon and the stars yet completely differ sizes and environments! We can only live on planet earth! None of the others will support life! We cannot live on any other planet! You have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting evolution right! If you have a theory about science and you cannot get the same outcome each time you are blowing smoke! The scriptures in your Bible will always be supported by science! Why? God made the science! Think that hundreds of years ago science then did not support Genesis 1:1. Yet millions of believers then understood that without Faith it is impossible to please God! There will be new science discoveries in the future that will also verify the scriptures in our Bible! There will also be flawed theories about science to try to discredit God! Frog in the Pan! Hebrews 11:6

But I found it more and more difficult, with free scope given to my imagination, to invent evidence which would suffice to convince me. This disbelief crept over me at a very slow rate, but was at last complete. The rate was so slow that I felt no distress, I can indeed hardly see how anyone ought to wish Christianity to be true: for if so the plain language of the text seems so slow that the men who do not believe, and this would include my Father, Brother and almost all my best friends, will be everlastingly punished.” Charles Robert Darwin Comment: Charles Darwin invented evidence that is false science and debunked by the Laws of God and his Creation! Charles invented evidence to support his unbelief! The Theory of Evolution! My Bible says without Faith it is impossible to please God! That is we do not as mortal men know everything! If we take one morsel of science and hang a theory on it then we are subject to error! The science that exists is predictable but what we do not know in natural science cannot be used as a basis for any theory! His theory is not supported by science and the observations recorded in history! The greatest scientist is God! He created us and understands everything about us! That is man has the propensity to sin! Even creating theories that oppose him! There is only one road to Heaven and many roads to Hell. Darwinism is taught to your children in public schools today and for past 70 years or more! Jesus Christ the only Son of God who died on a Cross 2000 years ago for our sin is the only way to the Father and to eternal life! Men come and go in history but history was written by Almighty God to determine who will have Faith in the earth! You can gamble on a theory but not me! The Joy Set Before Him! Hebrews 12:2
What is the difference between love and law? Jesus came to fulfill the law though love! If the only God you know is law then your attitude is I HAVE to obey and keep the Commandments! Even though you are miserable you have to do your duty! We must be in church on Sunday and keep the Sabbath! When we discover the love of God through Christ our attitude changes about worship! Now I WANT to keep the Commandments! I want to please God! He loves me and I do not want to disappoint Him! I love Him because He first loved me! I obey out of love! My attitude now is to love other’s as He has loved me! I take joy in suffering for other’s as He suffered for me! My present and future is in Him so I no longer have to store up stuff for myself! I can joyfully share what I have with other’s! I no longer have to store up anger, hate and worry to be released on other’s for He has taken it away and given me love to replace it! I am free now to do the Father’s will. Jesus endured the Cross with joy! Why? Because He loves you! He knew the return on His sacrifice would redeem billions of souls! However had the return only been you He would have done it! The same joy is available to you but you must forsake the things that are taking your joy away and take up your Cross and follow Jesus!
