Do You Understand? Luke 24:45
Greek Translation: ‘Then Jesus opened up their understanding or mental and intellectual perception. He stirred up and agitated their minds and comprehension. He caused them to hear and perceive God’s thoughts with their thoughts so that they could measure the scriptures against their own thoughts and actions.” Comment: It is interesting that the Greek word for “scriptures”, is the word graphe from which we get our English word graph! So what is a graph for? What purpose? It is used to measure and compare things! We need to measure and compare our life to the Word of God! To be honest when we do this we come up short! Lacking! At a loss! Missing link! So how can we measure up? If we look at a graph of ten motor vehicles comparing gas mileage you might want to buy the one that gets the most gas mileage! However if you look at another graph that shows this vehicle has the highest maintenance repairs and another graph that shows this vehicle also has the highest fatality rate then you might change your mind? I can measure my life against other men and I may look good but by other men I look like a failure! The Apostle Paul said it is unwise to compare among men! If I have a compass I can find north and find my way by the standard for direction! How does my life rank against the standard of God? If honest I can only fall at His feet asking for forgiveness and mercy! Then Jesus said we must forgive others as He has forgiven us! If you do not do this you block your own forgiveness! So how do we meet the standard set by God? We cannot in and of ourselves! Our standard was provided to us by God Himself! Through His Son Jesus Christ! God paid the penalty for our sin at the Cross! When we accept His standard in His Son’s sacrifice for our sin then we are forgiven! If we reject the standard of the sinless Savior then we stand naked before God with no covering! We will one day stand before a Holy God Jesus Christ who will judge the living and the dead! If we look at a graph and compare the life of Jesus to ourselves all we can do is bow our knee and confess with our tongue that Jesus Christ is Lord! If you have not do so right now before it is too late! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
Just One Unpardonable Sin! Mark 3:29
On previous posts we have discussed this important topic! We have discussed what is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Remember these are the words of Jesus speaking in Mark 3:29! Jesus can forgive every sin except one! Would it not be wise to know what this sin is? The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity! To offend one person of the Trinity is to offend all for they are one! Jesus is the only one who can forgive sin because He is God! God’s sacrifice for our sin! When it comes to the virgin birth of Jesus by Mary who came over her to conceive Jesus in the flesh? The Holy Spirit! To reject Jesus Christ is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit! Jesus will be your Savior or your Judge! Which is it for you depends on your choice about Christ! It depends on your choice! Morality is a choice! The outcome of your eternity depends on what you do with Jesus Christ while here on earth! Choose this day who you will serve! God or Satan? Heaven or Hell? As for me and my house we will serve the Lord! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Reproach of Men! Isaiah 51:7
“Listen unto me carefully that you understand to discern and know righteousness. For my people are those who know my heart and inner soul of my law. Fear not the shameful displeasure of men neither be broken or despaired of their sinful rebuke.” Comment: The true commentary is we all initially opposed God! Those that have repented understand His righteousness because they understand His forgiveness! Once you understand you have sinned against God you understand His righteousness! Your night brings His light into your life! Those that live in and promote evil do not understand their error and God’s standard! God’s standard is described in your Bible but those that reject His Word reject God Himself! As described in Isaiah sinners will try to shame you and rebuke you for taking the God standard! They will sue you and drag you into court as they did with the Colorado family who refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple! Since Jesus is not around to spit in His face, mock Him, plant a crown of thorns on Him, whip Him bloody and nail Him to a Cross they only have you His follower to persecute! Remember on the Cross Jesus asked His Father to forgive them for they know not what they do! Why could not Jesus have forgiven them? Jesus had not yet completed His redemptive work on the Cross! After Jesus death and resurrection the way was open for His persecutors to repent! It would not be smart to reject the only God who can forgive you your sin! I can suffer the reproach of men but I could never survive the reproach of God on Judgment Day unless my Judge was my Savior! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
First & Last! Isaiah 44:6
Hebrew Translation: “Thus saith the Lord the Divine Authority of Israel, who was not elected by men but created men has ransomed and released you the Lord of the Armies of Heaven and His Angels. I am the first in place, time and rank, and I am the last following behind my creation with redemption and judgment; beside me there is no Holy, Righteous and True God.”
Prepare You a Way! Isaiah 40:3
“Prepare a physical pathway for the Lord, make upright and just in a wilderness a highway for our God.” Comment: This Old Testament prophecy was also quoted in the New Testament in several places! In (John 1:23), John the Baptist quoted this scripture to the religious and political leaders explaining what he was doing and why! The word “way”, used in the New Testament means a road in which one travels. Here is the real deal. We as believers had a way prepared for us to find God! The message you received about Christ may have come from a Evangelist, Pastor, teacher, Priest, prophet, elder, parent, grandparent or a missionary! They prepared a way for you to find Christ! We are to return the favor! You are preparing the way for others as you preach His Word! You may be doing a Bible study, prayer group, web site, Blog, audio or video tracts, prison ministry or a Pastor of a local church. You may be a missionary in a foreign land! You may distribute Bibles, Gospel tracts or do hospital and nursing home ministries. You may be doing a food kitchen or clothing distribution for the poor. Just like John the Baptist you are preparing the way for people to find Christ! At Jesus first coming John the Baptist prepared people to receive Christ! However today Christ’s second coming is even more important to prepare people’s hearts because His second coming will not be as Savior but as Judge of all. This makes our mission very important! John sacrificed his life for his mission but today the stakes are even higher! Even more is on the line today! At Christ’s second coming there will be no more choices available to you! Your eternity will be locked in forever! We cannot afford to play church! We must play for keeps! No business as usual. Each day that slips by begs the question what did I do today to prepare the way for others? Will we be able to answer Christ at the Judgment Seat with confidence and assurance that we did all we could to reach the lost? Was our heart in the world or in Heaven? If our destination is Heaven then think about Heaven! We cannot work our way to Heaven but we can prepare a way for others! Go out into the whole world and preach the Gospel. At marriage we say, “I do.” When we join the military we say, “I do.” Then the sacrifices begin! Jesus on the Cross said, “It is finished.” May the God of Heaven give us the grace to finish the highway to Heaven for others and receive the rewards Christ has promised us! Nothing could be more rewarding than to be in Heaven and witness others coming in after us who we have helped to prepare the way for them! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
The Just Judge! Isaiah 11:4
Hebrew Translation:”With honesty, integrity and peace He shall judge the poor with uprightness and justice for the meek inhabitants of the land, and He shall punish, defeat and slay the inhabitants of the earth with the Ruler’s staff with His speech and with the breath of His voice shall bring unnatural death to those who challenge God.” Comment: What fool would challenge God? A fool has said in his heart there is no God! Our first parent’s Adam and Eve challenged God! We kind of got off to a bad start! The unnatural death mentioned in this scripture is because of sin! God never designed us to see death! When we die what do we inherit? We think of leaving an inheritance to our family when we die but what do we inherit? We will either inherit eternal life or eternal death! The meek shall inherit the earth and also Heaven! God is ruling the earth because the sheep have gone astray! We all need a shepherd! Left to ourselves we become homeless wanderer’s on the earth with no purpose! Jesus is the good shepherd and a fair and honest Judge! How is Jesus fair and honest? Christ who was without sin died for your sin! God sacrificed His own Son to redeem us from an eternity of separation from God and the Hell of suffering judgment! When I see the mockery of Christ in American culture I shutter to think of their outcome! Hopefully like Paul on the road to Damascus they will see a great light! To live without God means destination without God! Why would people want to miss Heaven! To choose no future and no hope? The second sin of rejecting Christ is worse than the first sin! What could God do more for us than making us righteous with His own blood taking our punishment upon Himself? To reject the Cross is to play the double fool. Does God have a limit on His love? No! But love without law would be meaningless! It is not God’s love that will send you to Hell. It is the rejection of His love and the penalty He paid to satisfy the law for our pardon is what sends people to Hell. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
What is Hebrew Word for Red? Isaiah 1:18
Adam! Isaiah 1:18 Hebrew Translation “Come now, let us debate your case in court together! Your sin has condemned you! You have been rebuked and judged by me! Though your transgressions are as red as Adam’s sin, they shall be as white as snow! Though they be as red as crimson they shall be as white as a lamb!” Comment: Jesus blood was more red than a human’s blood! No sin! Jesus will either be your Savior or your judge! All judgment is rendered unto the Son! We are all on trial for murder! We all put Jesus on the Cross! Sin has condemned us! Guilt is a horrible estate! If we cannot live with ourselves we cannot live with others! For those who accept Jesus atoning blood as the sacrifice for their sin Judge Jesus has now become our Defense attorney representing us before the Father! The Father says we are condemned to death! When the judge and the defense attorney are the same person we get mercy! The Father says my blood and the blood of my Son is enough to pardon us! Satan is on the jury and tries to condemn us! Salvation is conditional in that repentance, confession of your sin to Jesus is the prerequisite for Salvation! God’s love is unconditional in the sense He died for all. If we try to hide our sin from others we are just hiding from other sinners just like us! Only God can forgive sins! That is why Jesus is called the God/Man! If we wait to confess our sin before the executioner Satan he will still execute us! He is the accuser of the brethren! When Satan comes to accuse you point him to the Cross! He will flee! At the final judgment those that reject Jesus, He will not execute! He simply turns them over to Satan! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
God Renders Legal Decision! 1 Chronicles 15:13
“For because you did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach upon us, for we sought Him not after the due order.” Two Hebrew words stand out in this scripture written thousands of years ago! The word “first”, head or first in rank. The words “due order”, means a legal decision given by God to be followed by the people! What is really interesting is the Hebrew word is another Hebrew root word for the word “due order.” The Strong’s Number is 8199. Here is the Hebrew definition of the word; “this word encompasses all the facets of government including executive, legislative and judicial branches of government.” This sounds like our United States Constitution! Most Americans do not get the connection between our Bible and the Constitution! Our Constitution is a Biblical document! Remember the Jewish Temple and the Mount was the seat of all religious and government rule to the Jewish culture! Law cases were tried there! Laws were written there! Executive actions to enforce the law were done from there! Just as our God is a Trinity so is our government with three branches! The pattern for our Constitution was implemented after the Bible to give people liberty and Justice for all. The question that begs to be asked is why did God have to render a legal decision? We have broken His laws through sin! God’s legal decision to punish sin was accomplished by His Son on Calvary! God has given His Son Jesus Christ the responsibility to judge the living and the dead! Your judge could become your Savior if you choose Him? Otherwise Christ will be your judge forever! Which is it? Do not play the lottery with God! James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
