It was Christmas Eve in Brooklyn New York in 1942. The war was on and a difficult time. It was snowing in New York. A cold night as Wilber was walking down the street thinking about his past. Wilber was 98 years old and his past troubled him? He had committed crimes and betrayed his family and many friends. He was most troubled about where he would go if he died? As he went by a church he heard Christmas Carols. Then he thought I know what I can do! I will join a church and this will throw me in with all the good folks. Then I can escape hell! Wilber went into this Lutheran Church and asked the Pastor if he could join the church? The Pastor told him if he could answer one question correctly. The question is where was Jesus Christ born? Wilber thought a minute and said Pittsburg. Sorry said the Pastor you need to find another place. Wilber went back out into the snow and cold and found a Catholic Church. He went in and asked the Priest if he could join? The Priest said he could only if you can answer one question correctly. Where was Jesus Christ born? Wilber strained his brain and said Philadelphia. The Priest told Wilber he was too far gone to make a good Catholic! Down but not out Wilber hit the streets once again. The he walked by a Synagogue but it looked closed. Then he saw a light in one of the back offices so he knocked on the door. A Rabbi opened the door and invited him in. Wilber asked if he could join the Synagogue? The Rabbi said sure you can! Wilbur was perplexed? Are you going to ask me any questions? No replied the Rabbi. Wilber asked the Rabbi if he would mind if he asked him a question? Please go right ahead said the Rabbi. Are You Stoned? Ezekiel 28:13
Lucifer had it made! The praise leader of Heaven! He had every precious stone in his covering! Sardius, topaz, diamond, beryl, onyx, jasper, sapphire, emerald, carbuncle and gold! Lucifer was equipped with praise instruments! He had the tabrets and pipes like a pipe organ to make music to the Lord in worship! Lucifer was a created being like us! That is why we are not to worship angels! Pride entered Lucifer and rebelled against God and was cast down to earth with 1/3 of his followers! When he impacted the earth his precious stolen stones from Heaven were scattered throughout the earth! So when you find a precious stone in the earth think where it came from! According to verse 13 Lucifer had been in the Garden of God, Eden! That is where he met Adam and Eve the first humans on earth! You might say Lucifer had a touch of heaven for in heaven the streets are paved with gold! It is not rare stuff up there! So why do we labor for the stolen goods Satan left here on earth when the jems and gold are as common as dirt in the earth up there? Some humans have worked for them but others have stolen them committing evil sins against God and man! Worship of God by humans involves the precious elements of the earth! Let us look at the Ephod Breast Plate in Exodus 28:18-29. The 12 tribes of Israel each had a precious stone of a significant color representing each of them before God! These stones represented earthly people. Most of these colors are in the rainbow across our sky! The rainbow has 7 colors! This sign in the heavens reminded us of God’s covenant to never completely flood the earth as in the days of Noah. It is interesting it takes water to activate the rainbow! It takes sin to activate the blood! When we look at the breastplate the tribe of Judah was represented by an emerald. The green emerald stone is used in engagement rings representing fidelity, harmony and loyalty! In Revelation 21:19-20, we see these precious stones appearing in the New Jerusalem! In the 4 entry gates of the city! Our Messiah came through the Tribe of Judah! God’s engagement to man began here and was consecrated in marriage which produced a Son named Jesus Christ! Remember Jesus always existed before creation and was incarnated into the earth as a human! The church today is the bride of Christ! My Bible says he is more precious than silver and more costly than gold! Why? Because he created this stuff! Remember the Ephod Breast Plate was for judgment! Judgment begins at the House of God! If you let Christ take your judgment then you are saved from it! Christ the eternal judge will not condemn his own! Another notable here is the eastern gate of the mobile tabernacle was guarded by the Tribe of Judah! When the Muslims controlled Jerusalem centuries ago they heard that Christ would re-enter the city through the eastern gate! So they sealed the eastern gate closed with brick and mortar to try to stop Christ at his second coming! The eastern gate is still sealed today and it looks like the Muslims believe some of the scriptures! In the New Jerusalem the eastern gate will have a green emerald stone on the gate representing the Tribe of Judah! If you have accepted the offspring of Judah Jesus Christ you will be able to enter this gate! Only God who created us is able to deliver us from sin! You cannot save yourself! It takes the God who never sinned to deliver you from our sin! He sacrificed himself for us! In the New Jerusalem there will be 12 gates, 12 angels, 12 tribes, 12 foundation stones, 12 names, 12 apostles, 12 thousand furlongs (dimension of city), 12 stones, 12 pearls and 12 fruits! This is going to be a fascinating place to live! Can I wait to see the mansion he has for me? Not really! It will certainly beat this stone age earth! A news agency (Fox News), reported today that Pope Francis told a gay man that God loved him and that God made him gay? We all were made in the image of God but we cannot make God in our image! That is called idol worship! I have no problem with the Pope telling him that God loves him! Jesus the Son of God went through a bloody six hour crucifixion on a Cross for our sin! Jesus did not go to the Cross for us to retain our sin! In the old days people would say the devil made me do it! But today some say God made me do it! Blame it on God? If you read your Bible you will see that God did not make us sinners! We chose sin! Morality is about choices! God gave us a free will to chose right or wrong! Satan deceived the human family into choosing sin! God have us the remedy at the Cross! We cannot blame God for our sin? Put the blame where it belongs! On Satan! Why did Jesus tell us to rebuke Satan in His name? We are still responsible for sin but God has made a way of escape through the blood of His only Son Jesus Christ! We must repent of sin not blame it on God! Sometimes organized religion gets it wrong! That is why we must know the Bible cover to cover! In these last days you will be lead astray if you do not know the Word of God! If the Bible contradicts any religious leader then go with the Bible! Does not matter the cost to you! Jesus paid it all. Remember what Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden? Surely God has not said you cannot eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil? You will not die! Easter Commentaries Luke 23:43
“And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee. Today thou shalt be with me in paradise.” Comment: So where is paradise? The Greek word means Eden, the future place of happiness! The Hebrew equivalent means a forest or fruit orchard. So the word paradise describes the Garden of Eden! Remember when Adam and Eve sinned against God they were cast out of the Garden of Eden! Then an Angel with a flaming sword was placed at the east entrance not allowing any human to eat of the Tree of Life! We know that sin and Eternal Life cannot co-exist together! Everyone will chose one but without the other! Only Jesus could make this promise to the thief on the Cross because Jesus was the Tree of Life! He was hung on a Cross to provide you an entrance back into the Garden of Eden for an eternity! A garden with no sin because of His sacrifice for our sin on the Cross! The entrance fee has been paid with His own blood! Adam and Eve sacrificed animals in the Garden to try to cover their sin! But the blood of animals was not enough! Self-Worship! Isaiah 47:10
For you have felt confident, safe and secure in your malignant, evil and immoral thoughts; for you have declared and spoken that no one has seen my intellectual depravity. Your intellect and understanding is flawed and it condemns you for you have turned back to sin away from me. Comment: Self worship is a choice! You make your own gods and then worship them! You deny the true God and manufacture an idol. Lucifer was Heaven’s choir director! One day he decided to worship himself and abandon God! He made himself God! It was a case of identity theft! Pretend to be someone else! Masquerade as God! Lucifer with 1/3 of the angels were kicked out of Heaven! Lucifer became Satan! Never a chance for redemption! Satan came to Adam and Eve and said surely God has not said…. So he promoted the rebellion here on earth! Remember what Satan challenged Jesus to do? If you are the Son of God turn these stones into bread! Jump off the high wall of the Temple! Satan wanted Jesus to challenge God! Problem for Satan was Jesus was God! Satan wanted Jesus to challenge Himself! The Jewish leaders challenged Jesus saying only God can forgive sin! Atheists challenge God by saying He does not exist! When they do this they make themselves God! Charles Darwin a Jewish atheist theorized since God does not exist things must have happened this way! So he came up with his theory of evolution! Sadly this is taught as truth in our public funded institutions throughout our education system today! Children taught the big lie! Only One Unpardonable Sin! Matthew 12:31-32
Words of Jesus! Greek Translation Verse 31; “Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin or missing the true scope and purpose of finding God and ruining one’s human reputation by evil speaking shall be forgiven unto men, but the ruining of God’s reputation shall not be forgiven unto men.” Verse 32; “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him, but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” Comment: If you call me a liar and it is not true God can forgive you! If you call God a liar these is no pardon for you! Remember the first example of this in the Book of Genesis! When Satan was tricking eve to take of the forbidden fruit he told Eve God was a liar because God has surely not said you cannot eat this fruit! You will not surely die! Why is sin against God unpardonable? Because He is the only one who can pardon sin! But not against Himself! What would be some examples of calling God a liar today? Not believing the Word of God or the Bible as God has given to us! Mocking Christ and rejecting Him! Trusting anything more than God! Cursing God to attack His character! Attacking His people or believers! Spreading lies about His servants! Trying to destroy Jesus reputation by spreading lies about Him! Doing just the opposite of what God has established as righteous in His Word! Dismiss God’s Word as having no application in the 21st Century! Believing ideologies that oppose Holy Scriptures! The list is much bigger than these but since the Garden of Eden the assault continues on God, His Kingdom and His people! There is one line you can never step over! The Apostle Paul was a defender of Judaism but was ignorant of Christ in the 1st Century! When He saw Jesus for who He really was he repented and became the greatest human promoter of Jesus Christ in history! Looking Forward! 1 Esdras 5:38-39
When the Jews returned from Babylon captivity by the favorable Decree of the Persian King Cyrus they met many challenges to rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem! Here is a quote from verses 38-39. “Since they were unable to prove their ancestry, they were not allowed to function as Priest’s. Nehemiah the governor told them that they could not eat food offered to God until there was a High Priest who could use Revelation and Truth.” Comment: Ancestry was everything to the Jews! Tradition was the foundation of their life and worship! If you could not prove your ancestry as many Jews could not after returning from 70 years of Babylonian captivity you could not participate in Temple worship! Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses were in the Religious Hall of Fame! Rightly so! Jesus really threw the religious Jews a curve ball when He told them they must be born again! Jesus the High Priest with Revelation and Truth was looking them in the face but they did not get it? The religious leaders seemed blind? Yet the simple Jews such as Peter saw the light! How far does Jesus ancestry go back in time? All the way back to the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve! Remember the Tree of Life in the Garden? His humanity took their sin and fast forwarded it to you and me! His Divinity delivered you and me from sin! His humanity was sacrificed for you and me! Jesus was a Jew and of the tribe of Judah! That is prophetic! Ancestry.com should be renamed Death.com! Why were the Persian Kings (Iran), favorable to the Jews? The 3 wise men were from Persia! King Cyrus and Darius were favorable to the Jews! Why? God spoke to them! Why is present day Persia (Iran), not favorable to the Jews but want to destroy them? Very simple! Islam that came along in 650 A.D. Islam has given all of its followers a religious backing to kill. The Persians also invented the crucifixion so they prepared the method for the sacrifice for Jesus! Since we find it recorded in the memoirs of the Apostles that he is the Son of God, and since we call him the Son, we have understood that he proceeded before all creatures from the Father by the power of his will…. and that he became man by the virgin, in order that the disobedient which proceeded from the serpent might receive its destruction in the same way it devised its origin. For Eve, who was a virgin and undefiled, have conceived by the word of the serpent, brought forth disobedience and death. But the virgin received faith and joy when the Angel Gabriel announced the good news to her that the Spirit of the Lord would come upon her and the power of the highest would overshadow her. King Hezekiah was on his death bed! Both Isaiah and the King went to prayer! God informed the King He was going to add 15 more years to his life! God turned the shadow of the sun dial back 10 degrees! This is not like changing or turning your clock back for daylight savings time! Let us try the math here! Our earth is divided into 360 degrees like a circle. A rotation of earth equals 360 degrees one day or 24 hours. There are 60 minutes in each hour multiplied by 24 hours equals 1440 minutes. If you divide 1440 minutes by 360 degrees each degree represents 4 minutes of time. So turning back ten degrees is equal to 40 minutes of time for each day. If you multiply 40 minutes by 365 days you get 1460 minutes! So for every year Hezekiah lived from that first day he got a year back! So he lived 15 years longer and got 15 years back! When time is stopped or reversed the aging process stops! Jesus said we must be born again! Why? Our eternity is affected by what we do with the time we have here on earth! When we receive Jesus Christ as Savior our time is reversed back to the Garden of Eden before we were sinners and before Adam and Eve sinned! In eternity there is no time and no death!
