Easter Thoughts! Romans 6:5

“For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.” Commentary: Through the incarnation Jesus identified with our birth and our death! Planted together! You have to plant a seed before you get a harvest! The Greek word (Strong’s#4854), for planted together means to be combined and united together to grow! In the likeness or resemblance of his death! We must die to self before the new birth can come! A seed must die before it produces fruit! Jesus said we must be born again! God uses his power and authority to save us at a great cost! A sacrificial lamb for our redemption! Most humans use their political power to rule over us manipulating us with lies for their benefit! It seems at times Democracy at it’s best is like electing your own slave owners! God sacrificed for us as we are to do for others! The love of God is sacrificing for others! Until you have done this you have never lived with purpose! The Kingdom of God is a sacrificial system! Not sacrificing us for his benefit but sacrificing himself for our benefit! It is hard for me to see political Americans sacrificing us for their benefit! For their own gain! Our greatest leaders here in America like Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. sacrificed themselves for our benefit! The list goes on by the millions of military members over our history! What is sin? Sin is sacrificing others for your benefit! That is what Satan does! How? Through rape, murder, robbery, identity fraud, abortion, open borders, drugs, extortion, lying, false witnesses, tax cheats, ransom, kidnapping, divorce, arson and the list goes on! How about war itself? Putin wants donations to help bury thousands of their war dead! He needs to pay for all the violence done against Ukraine and his own people! What about sin in the church? Stealing money! How about the 501c tax exempt status trading free speech for money? The church was silent on Trump during the 2020 elections and Biden got in and now we pay the price for silence! If Trump were in there would be no war in the Ukraine! So we just collect money for Ukraine by the non-profits and they continue being muted to speak out exercising our 1st Amendment! Jesus came to enable us to repent of our sin however it cost him his life! Who are you living for? Sin? The battle between good and evil will continue but whose side are we on? We are to forgive our enemies but if you cannot you are on the wrong side! God’s love identifies with the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ Can we identify with Christ? Only because he first identified with us innocent yet took upon himself our sin to set us free from the guilt and bondage of Satan our accuser! Happy Easter! James & Hamsa Sasse. Easter People? Revelation 12:17

Greek Translation: “And the dragon was provoked and enraged with the woman, and went to make war with the remaining ones of her seed sown, which preserve and watch the Commandments of God respecting his authority and those having the testimony of those bearing witness of Jesus Christ.” Comment: If this scripture does not explain the reason for the culture war in America and throughout history nothing will! Satan’s followers war against Christ and his seed! Christ is in Heaven right now so the only targets are his followers! Get rid of prayer in school! Get rid of Bibles in schools! Take down the Commandments off buildings! Remove Crosses across America! Even cemeteries! Disturb the dead! Make civil laws that oppose God’s Commandments! Gay marriage! Remember slavery was once the law of the land here in America! Abraham Lincoln said a law may be legal but can also be immoral! This scripture also explains Anti-Semitism rising in America! The Jews are the keepers of the Commandments! That is orthodox Jews here in America! They recite the Commandments daily! Most Christian’s can maybe name two of the ten? Christian’s and Jews are always linked together as enemies of Satan! If you read the Quran Muslim’s are responsible to kill both Jews and Christians! Christian persecution world wide is at an all time high! What we do with Jesus will determine our outcome in life! If you follow Jesus the Devil will be enraged! He will with his followers persecute you! If you follow Satan he will be happy with you and reserve a place in Hell for you! However you cannot have it both ways! You cannot as some try to have one foot in the world and one foot in the church! My Bible says a double minded man is unstable in all his ways! Satan is a deceiver! He started his crusade in the Garden of Eden! So for America and the world what is the biggest deception he has achieved in the 19th, 20th and 21st Centuries? The lie that Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution is science! If you follow Darwin you will believe there is no God and there is no Heaven and no Hell! So there is no need for repentance and I am answerable to no one for my actions! Some Christian’s in Sri Lanka were murdered in their House of worship! Obama and Hillary called them the Easter people! They could not utter the name “Christian”? Political correctness! Jesus is the only name in Heaven and earth below by which men can be saved! Are you afraid to mention his name! Jesus said if you are ashamed of me then my Father in Heaven is ashamed of you! His name is above every name! Where is his name in your ranking? Communion & Holy Days!

In communion the bread representing Jesus body is about God becoming flesh at Bethlehem as we celebrate the Christmas story! His flesh broken for us as we break the bread together! His blood represented by the cup as his blood shed for our sin for an atonement a gift given to us! His blood shed at Calvary which we celebrate at Easter! So both Holy Days are represented in our communion services! His body and his blood! These two great events are the only hope for mankind! Pastor David Jeremiah

Christmas & Taxes! Luke 2:1-7

The Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus got up on the wrong side of the bed one morning and decided the whole world should be taxed! This taxing was first made by Cyrenius governor of Syria! They must have been Democrats! So poor Joseph had to get on his donkey (hybred vehicle), along with his pregnant wife Mary and ride down to Bethlehem! Mary was also taxed along with Jesus still in her womb! The politicians played an important role in getting Jesus down to Bethlehem to be born fulfilling many Old Testament prophecies! Then another politician named King Herod who wanted to kill the baby Jesus caused them to flee down to Egypt for a couple years to fulfill more prophecy! Then after Herod died they moved to Nazareth where Jesus became known as the Nazarene! So the good bad and ugly of politicians helped to complete God’s promise of a Savior to the world! Many politicians today here in America try to stop Jesus second coming! Their strategy will help promote his second coming as they play the fool! The best way to celebrate Christmas is to understand no one can or will stop Christ from completing his mission to earth! No one can stop his love for the world even by changing his name to Happy Holidays! Rest in his peace and joy this season knowing all is well because of Christmas and Easter! One Week After Easter! April 14, 1912

Pastor John Harper was an accomplished Pastor out of Scotland with hundreds of congregation members in his home church! He had been invited by Moody Church in Chicago to participate with this ministry! He was excited and his young daughter and sister accompanied them on a brand new ship on it’s maiden voyage to New York! His wife had been deceased years earlier. The Titanic was promoted as the safest ship to ever sail. On the late night of April 14th the Titanic struck that rock of ice and began taking on water! As the tragedy unfolded Pastor Harper helped load the women and children into the life boats! He gave up his life vest to another who did not have one! A crew member warned him that without the life vest you are going down with the ship! Pastor Harper replied that he was going up and not down! Pastor Harper kept shouting to the crowds, “Do you know Jesus as your Savior?” He continued to shout, “No one can save you tonight but God!” Survivors said that Pastor Harper kept preaching the Gospel to the end especially after Acts 16:31. Are you saved was his continual cry to the people entering the cold icy waters of the North Atlantic! Pastor Harper found himself in the cold frigid waters clinging to a deck chair floating in the water! As people floated by him he would ask them if they were saved? Do you know Christ! Declare His name from your lips and enter into eternal life! You only have one chance tonight! Do not let the love of this world keep you from Christ! Christ loves you but not this world! Trust Christ not your own efforts! Whether here tonight or later we will all perish from this earth! There is only one name under Heaven in where you can be saved! Pastor Harper with over 1500 people perished that night and entered eternity either saved or lost! Are you saved! When we run out of time we run out of choices! The word time means, “To Honor.” Why not honor Him today with the rest of your life here on earth? Foundation for Ministry? Isaiah 33:6

So what is it? God delivered me off my death bed 45 years ago as a young man! I did not deserve it but He did it! A miracle and my first at the hands of Jesus! After this event I was actively involved in ministry through my local church! I went into prisons! I went down to the skid rows down on Larimer street in Denver Colorado! I went down to the drunks in alleys sleeping and awakening them and telling them Jesus loves you! I held Gospel meetings in the alleys of slum area’s of Denver! Saturday morning I was there among them preaching the Gospel! I was faithful for 10 years in these kind of ministries! I spent time in half-way houses holding prayer meetings! Then visions came to me in the middle of the night! Visions of going to the foreign mission field! I went to my local Pastor and explained these visions to him but he felt I should spend 4 years in Bible school. However the window was open now but for how long? I went back to other churches we had attended over the years in Denver but they all had excuses why they could not help us! Then my wife in Denver heard over the Christian radio station that the pastor of the world’s largest church was coming to Denver for crusades! My wife asked me if we should go see him? I was skeptical? If these Pastor’s here in Denver don’t want us even though we supported them for years who are we to this guy? I told Hamsa we are going to put our house up for sale this week and I am resigning my job! We are selling everything we have except two traveling bags each and buying a one way ticket to India! Sponsor or no sponsor we are going! She told me before you take this big step of faith why not take a small step of faith and go to this crusade! So we took our two little daughters who were 3 and 5 years old and went down to the crusade! It seemed uneventful? We left out to the parking lot after it was over with hundreds of cars leaving the parking lot! We went to our car and then it seemed out of nowhere Pastor Cho surrounded by elder’s was heading to his limo! My wife told me to stay with the children and I will talk to him! She shouted through the ring of elder’s and told Pastor Cho we are going to India as missionaries would you pray for us! He told my wife to bring your husband and we will pray! He took our hands and began to prayer for about 30 seconds. Then he told us we would come to Korea to be commissioned by our church for a 3 year work in India! The rest is history! So what is the bed rock foundation for ministry? I learned later that Cho as a young man was dying of TB! The hospital sent him home to die! He lived in a slum of Seoul. He was coughing up cups of blood! This little teenage girl would come by his cot in the cold winter everyday and pray for him! He would insult her and call her a Christian dog and would spit on her! She kept coming back each day for prayer! As she prayed he began to get better! A miracle walked into his life by the name of Jesus! Cho began a tent ministry in the slum of Seoul that eventually became the world’s largest church with over one million members! Suffering is the foundation for ministry! We do not look for it but God will bring it according to His will and purpose of your life! Pastor Cho looked for 60 years to find this teenage girl but never could find her? She is probably wearing a crown right now! She led Cho to Christ! Never discount who you have led to Christ! Suffering has purpose! Easter is about God suffering for you! The Joy Set Before Him! Hebrews 12:2

What is the difference between love and law? Jesus came to fulfill the law though love! If the only God you know is law then your attitude is I HAVE to obey and keep the Commandments! Even though you are miserable you have to do your duty! We must be in church on Sunday and keep the Sabbath! When we discover the love of God through Christ our attitude changes about worship! Now I WANT to keep the Commandments! I want to please God! He loves me and I do not want to disappoint Him! I love Him because He first loved me! I obey out of love! My attitude now is to love other’s as He has loved me! I take joy in suffering for other’s as He suffered for me! My present and future is in Him so I no longer have to store up stuff for myself! I can joyfully share what I have with other’s! I no longer have to store up anger, hate and worry to be released on other’s for He has taken it away and given me love to replace it! I am free now to do the Father’s will. Jesus endured the Cross with joy! Why? Because He loves you! He knew the return on His sacrifice would redeem billions of souls! However had the return only been you He would have done it! The same joy is available to you but you must forsake the things that are taking your joy away and take up your Cross and follow Jesus! Easter Thoughts!

The word compassion means to suffer with! Do you see the word passion in compassion? The first use of the word compassion used in our Bible is in Exodus 2:6. Pharaoh’s daughter saw the baby Moses drifting down the river in a basket! She had compassion on the baby and rescued him! The word used here means to have pity and spare! However there is another Hebrew root word used for compassion that really got my attention! This word is used in 1 Kings 8:50 and 2 Chronicles 30:9. The word means the tender mercies of the womb! Moses was a deliverer of his people and the fruit of the womb! Compassion was born! Just as Jesus death was an act of compassion so was His birth! You cannot separate Christmas and Easter! We were not born to die but Jesus was!  We die because of sin but Christ is sinless! So Jesus suffered for us and with us at birth and at death! He took our death upon Himself so that we could live! His resurrection nullified our death! Satan threw the yellow flag with the penalty of death for our sin but Jesus protested the penalty and threw the red flag reversing the decision! The penalty on the field of life is reversed! Our new resurrected life is a 1st and 10! A fresh start! Born again! A second chance at life!
