Is Jesus God? Philippians 2:6-8

Jesus while He was here on earth positively laid claim to Deity is clear from the fact that the Jews reproached Him with two accusations: first. that He place God on par with Himself—and this they called blasphemy, secondly, that He made Himself God—and in this they thought they recognized the false prophet, although both idea’s merged together in John 10:30-39. Remember our Lord Jesus Christ being the Son of God did not and could not claim to be the Father but He did claim to be God! Even a human cannot claim to be his father but can claim to be a human being. A claim to the sameness of nature of personality in like manner is consistent and intelligible in the case of Divine Sonship of the Son of God but the sameness of personality would be contradictory! But there is a similarity of persons that it would be true that those who saw the Son have seen the Father! Also remember that the Trinity is one Spirit and character and not many personalities! Christ’s distinction had everything to do with His mission here on earth as Redeemer of mankind! Christ is not half man and half God! He is wholly man and wholly God! Jesus prayed because He is a man! God does not pray! God answers prayers through His Son Jesus Christ! If God were to pray who would He pray to? Himself? What is Jesus doing in Heaven right now? He is interceding for the Saints in prayer to the Father! Jesus still has a human nature in Heaven and so will we! We will not be floating on a cloud as a bodiless Spirit! You mean I get stuck with my ugly face for eternity? Do not jump over the cliff yet! Our human bodies are created by God! Male and female! Sin has marred us! God has a fix for our sin through Jesus where death no longer rules us! Your God given identity will not change! Jesus is a man in Heaven as He was on earth! Mary the mother of Jesus is still a female right now in Heaven! You will be much greater in Heaven because sin will no longer influence your decisions! You will live more like you are in Heaven while on earth because Jesus has redeemed you through His Blood! Voting Consequences!

So how will the world go? So how will America go? It will go one of three ways! It will either go secular, Christian or Islamic! America and the west have succeeded in pushing back Islam for the past 200 years because we were stronger spiritually, politically and militarily! Islam has been weaker than the west so their gains were small. However if the balance changes then they take new territory! So what happens next? This is a tricky call. It is possible the radical secularists may partner with the radical Islamist against Christians! We may not be fighting one opponent but two! The religious battlefield in America is also the political battlefield! We know the religious outcome as believers in Christ as outlined in our Bible. However the same cannot be said about America! The great providential leaders of America such as Lincoln and Reagan saw America with a Divine mission sanctioned by God just as Israel did! The vision of these men inspired greatness in her people and great things happened because of them! Dinesh D’Souza

Why Believe?

The Apostle Paul told us five things we must remember if we are to be sincere followers of Jesus Christ. We follow Him out of conviction not out of convenience! First Jesus has always existed! He is the only sure foundation! All else will fail and pass away! Jesus will never leave you or forsake you! He was and is and is to come! Second Jesus is fully God! He took on our humanity but kept His Divinity! Fully God and fully man! Why are our prayers answered? His death was full payment for our sin and we are no longer separated from God! Third through Jesus all things were created! All things were created for Jesus! He exists for you! Invite Jesus into your life! Invite Him into your marriage, your work, your plans and your future! No future without Jesus! Jesus created marriage! He knows how to hold it together! When a couple has Jesus on the thrown of their lives and marriage great things happen! Jesus created all human life! Fourth the Holy Spirit will give you the power you need to continue in His purpose! Everyday is a new day! All things become new! The Holy Spirit has changed the game! You can win now! Jesus said no man comes to the Father but by me! Fifth you need to decide today to believe! Is He your Lord? Is Christ your Lord or someone or something else? Are you on your own throne? Christ left a perfect Heaven to suffer for you! His Kingdom will have no end! Do you want to be a part of forever? C. S. Lewis said that Christ is either a lunatic, liar or He is Lord! How many bad choices before you choose Christ? How much suffering do you want trying to make it own your own? Nobody has ever succeeded trying! Victory or failure depends on who you have on the thrown of your life! Self or Christ? I cannot choose for you but I can say when I chose Christ things began and continue to get better in my life! Creation Versus Evolution! Genesis 1:1

Meat left out too long will bear maggots or mold? These days we know the maggots hatch from fly eggs and the mold grows from spores that are carried in the air. However in the past the fuzzy growth and the wiggly bodies were believed proof that whole organisms could spontaneously arise from rotten meat or certain types of inanimate matter. In the early 1860’s French chemist Louis Pasteur proved that such spontaneous generation did not occur, but instead the air itself was full of bacteria, spores and other forms of reproducing life. In 1859 Charles Darwin promoted the notion that life forms were ever changing evolving into new species over time. Pasteur’s experiments and Darwin’s theory led to opposing conclusions regarding the origin of life here on the earth. Pasteur claimed that through his scientific experiments  that there was support for belief that God created life!  Just as life could not arise from spontaneously animate matter the first life on earth could not have arisen without the help of a Divine Creator! Source: Space.com   Comments: According to Genesis 1:1, God created the Heaven first. The word Heaven comes from the Hebrew word, “Shamayim.” The word means the sky, clouds and atmosphere or air. Air itself has life and sustains and produces life! Try living without it ! I will never belief any theory whether Darwin’s or any other unless backed up with facts! If you get the origin of life wrong your whole perspective on life will be wrong and your decisions throughout life will be based on error! If you get this one wrong you get everything wrong! It’s Only Make Believe! John 3:16

Conway Twitty co-composed a song back in 1958 that went to the top of the charts as the number one song and held this rank for two years! The theme of the song was that he wished and prayed that this girl would love him as he loved her but finally realized that her love for him was only make believe! No matter how much he loved her she did not care about him. If you are human or even divine you have experienced this in your life. You wanted to believe in someone or something only to find a betrayal by that person or system. After all your love and affection was extracted from you an emptiness entered your soul. Human relationships are fragile at best! However there is a love greater than any human love! God’s motive for loving you is that He is simply love! Yes and He loved you so much that He became flesh! If you accept His love then you will find His love deeper than any ocean! In our spiritual relationship you can love the one that hates you through default! If you stay in the default mode you express your affection to the one who wants to destroy you! You can make believe about any man made system of religion but only to find in the end you are deceived and forsaken! Believe in the one true God Christ who gave His life for you and loved you before you ever loved Him and even before your love for Him was only make believe! In Christ’s Love! James and Hamsa Sasse. Book of John Chapter One Verse One !

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The word beginning in the greek translates as Commencement! When we finish a degree and complete all the work we graduate and have a commencement service. God completed his work at creation and time began! The word, “Word” in the greek is Logos which means Divine Expression! What was God’s Divine expression? Verse 14 of Chapter one says, ” And the Word was made flesh and dwelt amoung us……..” The divine expression could include creation itself but it is more than that! The divine expression is Christ himself! Let us substitute Christ for Word in verse one. In the beginning Jesus was the word and Jesus was with God and Jesus was God.
