Who Predicted End of World in 2060 A.D.?

Isaac Newton predicted this date in 1704 A.D. You can be sure he was not trying to sell a book! Newton was one of the most influential scientists that ever lived! He was also an ardent Christian and had a tremendous interest in end-time theology! He spent years in researching the Bible on the 2nd coming of Christ. Newton wrote over one million words related to his Bible studies! Newton based his prediction on Daniel 12:7. It was the phrase, “Times, times and a half times”, that caught his attention! He interpreted it to mean 3 1/2 years or 1260 days (also referred in Daniel 7:25, Revelation 11:3, 12:6, and 13:5. However Newton made a slight adjustment! He interpreted days to mean years -1260- years which marked the countdown to the end of the world and the return of Christ. What was his start date? Newton used the establishment of the Holy Roman Empire in 800 A.D. by Charlemagne. So the date was figured by adding 1260 to 800 to arrive at 2060 A.D. In Matthew 24:36, Jesus said we would not know the exact day or hour of His return! However, He said there would be important signs! Newton realized then that the restoration of Israel was a significant sign post to the end of the world! Theologians in Newton’s day thought Israel would be established as a nation in the 17th or 18th century. Newton predicted through his Bible studies that it would be much later! A King In Zion ! Zechariah 9:9-17

Zechariah predicts a coming King of Zion, the Messiah! It begins with the scene of Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey. Remember Zachariah made this prediction 520 years before it happened! Remember there is no evolution with God! God does not get better with time! He made time and all history revolves around His plans for the redemption of man. His plans are revealed through His Word The Holy Bible. Jesus entry into Jerusalem and the people’s rejection of Him marks the end of Daniel’s 69th week. Briefly Daniel’s 70 weeks is a period of 490 years. This period of time began when Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem with the Jews from Babylon after 70 years of captivity. We have a gap of over 1900 years between the 69th and 70th week which is the Church Age. The 70th week will begin with the Rapture of His Church and the 7 year tribulation period and consummated by Christ’s second coming to earth. Zechariah’s prophecy then continues with a discussion of God’s dealing with Israel in the 70th week of Daniel. During the tribulation period Israel will no longer rely on military power but on the Prince of Peace who will exercise worldwide dominion over the entire earth. Conclusion; God stopped the clock so that during the Church Age gentiles would have the opportunity to accept Christ as Savior. This window will not remain open long for long! Why you still have time do not reject Christ but accept Him so you can spend the remainder of your life here and all eternity with Christ and a peace that this world can never deliver to you! When you look back your entire life will boil down to either accept Him or reject Him! Your life here and hereafter spent in Heaven or Hell rests with your choice! Be wise! Thankyou. 2014 Prediction! Hebrews 13:8

The world changes! People change. Health changes. Finances change. Attitudes change. Economy changes. President’s change, Families change ( Divorce-remarriage). Weather changes. Pastor’s change. Church member’s change, Friends change. Laws change, Time changes. War changes. Taxes change, Technology changes, Nations change, ect. The News that never changes is the Good News as Paul says in Hebrews 13:8; “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!” Christ is the only one who can give you stability and peace in this unpredictable world you live in! The God of 2013 is the same God of 2014 and on forever! Do not hang your hat on anything else but Him! He will never leave you or forsake you! Others will! Happiness depends on circumstances!
