South Carolina Church Shooting!

This latest tragedy confirms what I have been saying for over a year now! Families and the Church in America have to provide their own security! Whether the church is small or large every time the door is open to the public you must have armed security! Contact your local law enforcement to see if they can provide for your place of Worship! The police departments themselves are under attack in America! This is a very different America today than the one I grew up in! I have already detailed precautions for your family and was posted to our Blog. Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

The Strength of Great Wisdom! 1Cor. 1:20-25

Verse 25– “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” What is Paul talking about here? He is talking about the Cross! This is God’s genius plan! Christ! Born of a virgin? Sinless? Dies on a cruel Cross as a common criminal? Rose from the grave? Conquered death and hell? Seated at the right hand of His Father right now? If you could figure this out it would not be of God! Only the revelation of God through His Holy Spirit can reveal this to you! Spiritual discernment is required not man’s wisdom! Pilot told Jesus I will determine whether you live or die! Jesus told Pilot I lay down my life! Using man’s wisdom you will decide to enslave others! That is what all our wars have been about over history! Using God’s wisdom you will serve others! When you make decisions love people through the Cross! The world’s way is to use power to dominate them! God’s way is to serve men! I traveled down to Central America last week. I know enough Spanish just to get by! The people there encouraged me there to stay there for some time and learn their language! It would probably take me about two years! Why do we hear these messages over and over again every Sunday? Why do we take communion every week? Is it we have nothing else to do? We need to learn the language of God! We need to learn His language! If you are in love with God read His Bible! Study, pray and do the things that please Him! Live righteously! Hate sin! Love God! Love people! Serve others sacrificially! Praise Him! Serve Him! As we come forward for communion this morning let us receive His language of love! Excerpt from message by Pastor Brady Boyd, New Life Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Love Requires Trouble! Trouble Requires Love!

If love dwelleth not in trouble, it could have nothing to love! But its substance which it loves, namely the poor soul, being in trouble and pain, it has thence cause to love this its own substance and to deliver it from pain, that so itself may by it be again beloved! Jakob Bohme (1575-1624) Comment: Jakob Bohme was a theologian but was also sometimes considered a mystic! He wrote a lot of books but was sometimes disciplined by the Lutheran Church in Germany. Any theology has to be compared against scripture. His writings do invoke thought! My first thought was did God love us more after salvation than before? No! What happens is we love Him more after salvation! God loved Adam and Eve before sin! God’s love was the first cause for everything and I believe did not require sin to initiate His love! If you have any thoughts about this please contact us. Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Good Grief! Ecclesiastes 7: 2-4

We need healing conversations this morning! Solomon says grief brings joy! American culture tries to pass by death! We want to avoid conversations about it! Solomon says in verse four that the heart of the wise is in the house of mourning. John 11: 32-35. Jesus knows how to grieve! In fact we see in this scripture that Jesus gets blamed for Lazarus death! Where have you buried him? Jesus wept! Why did Jesus stop and weep when He was about to raise Lazarus from the dead? We cannot skip over the sad places in our life! Jesus was fully man and fully God and is illustrated so plainly in these events! We cannot celebrate the miracles without paying attention to the process! Psalm 137. Two third’s of the Psalm’s are complaints and lamentations. The Jews were taken captive and taken to Babylon! The Babylonians took the best of the population back to Babylon and left the sick and elderly in Israel. Many of the grandchildren never saw their grandparents again! As the Jews sat by the rivers of Babylon they remembered Zion and wept! How do we grieve properly? First we must admit a new reality! Something is new about my life! Everything has changed about my life! It may be from a loss of a spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, job loss, sickness, financial loss, home or something else. I lost my dad in 2005. I miss dad but now a new reality. Second take time to weep. They wept in Babylon! Jesus wept! Slow down and grieve! Grieve properly! It is decompressing! Third remember the past! I have many good memories of my father! My father developed a barbeque sauce! He always wanted to get a patent on it. What my mother did not tell us for years is that she added some ingredients to the sauce so we could eat it! Tell the stories that make you smile at a funeral! See God’s imprint on our lives! Tell the stories that heal us and carry us on! What happens when we grieve properly? Our pain is confronted! We cannot ignore pain! In fact there is more pain for avoiding pain! Drug addiction is caused by trying to avoid pain! Invite the Holy Spirit into our pain! Jesus invited His Father into the pain in the Garden of Gethsemane! When we grieve properly we become available again! Your story matters! Millions of American’s have lost loved ones in battles of war in American history! Their stories matter! God is not finished with you yet! Your story is not over! Your final chapter is not the last one! God needs you available again! God will heal your heart! Even Jesus own disciples thought it was all over for them as Jesus went to the Cross! They scattered and went back to their old jobs! They could not look forward? God needs you available again! God knows what it is to grieve! Life was never the same when I lost my father! Storms are not forever! As we prepare for Communion let us remember the grieving of our Lord He has gone through for us on the Cross! Because He lives this morning we can live! He suffered so that we could have victory! He conquered death for us! Joy comes in the morning! He has Risen! Pastor Brady Boyd, New Life Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

They Do Matter! Decoration Day May 1868

They died for you that is why they matter! No life is wasted if it is expended to defend others! That is what the “Cross” is all about! From the Concord Church to Benghazi American’s have sacrificed their lives for you! General John A. Logan ordered his posts in May of 1868 to decorate graves of the civil war fallen, 620000, with the choicest flowers of springtime! We should guard their graves with sacred vigilance! Let no neglect, no ravages of time, testify to the present or to the coming generations that we have forgotten as a people the cost of a free and undivided republic! Please take time to remember the fallen American’s over our history who changed history for you so that you can live in freedom today! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Messianic Prophecy Genesis 49: 9-12

These verses in the Book of Genesis even though written thousands of years ago predicted a coming Messiah through the Tribe of Judah! Verse ten is particularly interesting! The word scepter in the Hebrew means a rod and a tribe. A shepherd’s staff. We are the sheep of His pasture! The word lawgiver means a commander of decree’s! It means to enact laws cut in stone! Jesus was the only one who could live out and keep all the commandments of God because He was God! The word people here means a flock of people comprising the whole earth. Yes, Jews and Gentiles! In verse eleven we see Jesus riding the donkey into Jerusalem! We see the vine and the wine. The last supper and the crown of thorns! Pastor Edward Mote (1797-1874), wrote a hymn that says, “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness!” Pastor Mote’s parents ran a beer tavern in England. They left him in the streets as a boy to grow up. He entered the ministry and became Pastor of Rehoboth Baptist Church in West Sussex for 26 years! The congregation loved him so much that they wanted to give him the church building as a gift! Pastor Mote replied, “I do not want the church but only the pulpit and if I cease to preach Christ kick me out!” Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Who was Polycarp? A.D. 69-155

He was a disciple and personal companion of the Apostle John. As a youth he studied at the Apostle’s feet and was ordained as Bishop of Smyrna. Some scholars believe that the Angel of the Church at Smyrna mentioned in the Book of Revelation was referring to Polycarp. Our Lord had no criticism for the Church at Smyrna and told them that they were rich! Their tribulation and poverty was translated into wealth of spirit! Polycarp lived to be about 87 years old and was martyred in 155 A.D. To escape martyrdom he only would have had to say, “Caesar is Lord.” Polycarp was a powerful leader both living and dying! Who Made This Speech?

My feeling as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter! It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter! In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders! How terrific was His fight against the Jewish poison! Today, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this He had to shed His blood upon the Cross! As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice! And as a man I have the duty to see to it that human society does not suffer the same catastrophic collapse as did the civilization of the ancient world some two thousand years ago—a civilization which was driven to ruin through the same Jewish people! Source; Speech delivered at the Reichstag by Adolf Hitler on March 5, 1922. Comment; If you were to hear this same speech today what red flags would go up in your mind? There should be many! One red flag I see is that Jesus was a Jew! Salvation would come through the Jew! This is one of the hazards of replacement theology! Theology that says the church replaces the Jews and Israel! This bad theology leads to the next error which is let us get rid of the Jews! Same spirit we see today with Islam! The Roman government executed Jesus with the help of the Jews. Jesus submitted to them to accomplish His purpose to be the sacrifice for the whole world for sin! Jesus fought for us by sacrificing Himself for others not sacrificing others for Himself! Jesus was upset at the money changers because they were turning the Temple a place of Worship into a place of material profit! Jesus kicked them out but they still could practice their trade somewhere else. Jesus went to the Cross for all! Jews and gentiles! Hitler claims to fight for truth and justice for all but leaves the Jews out? The Bible shows us again salvation has come through the Jews! Hitler believes the Jews murdered Jesus when in fact He voluntarily submitted to the Cross! Hitler says he has the right not to be cheated? Jesus said to love your enemies and if your brother has need give to him! Hitler has bad theology here and if you take one scripture out of context to support your position you end up in error! The Bible is like a jigsaw puzzle! If you take all the scripture or every piece of the puzzle both old and new testament and put them together then you see the complete Image of God! If you take one piece of the puzzle or one scripture and run with it you end up in error! Hitler actually believed from theological error that he was a crusader for God as the Muslims today believe! Anti-Semitism is growing across America and the world today! Be careful you have no part in this movement especially when it rises in the Church! Thankyou. James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
