Your Best Life Now? Revelation 21:4

If this is our best life now why would we want to go to Heaven? It would be unnecessary! Why would we want to leave this life of war, famines, earthquakes, murder, abortion, rape, incest, sexual abuse, pestilences, disease, death, terrorism, political upheaval. divorce and all the rest of our problems? Jesus warned us not to fall in love with this world! You can see why! The new heaven and the new earth will no longer be separate from each other! Why? No sin! No border walls! The old world is passed away! No threat of nuclear destruction in the new earth! There will no more be a sea with storms interrupting our lives where with no distractions we have perfect communion with God! In the new Jerusalem the church is in a perfect state of communion! The church is triumphant! Our blessedness does not depend on our own works but is kept and released to us by our Christ! No more sin, afflictions, tears and sorrows! Death is defeated! No more persecution of the Saints! The best earth now pales to the new heaven and the new earth! The River of Life flows with the refreshing water that quenches all thirst! Living water! No more floods and polluted water! No more air pollution! No global warming! No more politicians! Praise God! No more drug addiction! No more taxes, funerals, grave diggers or crematories! No illegal immigrants! No more persecution of Christ and his followers! The wheat and the chaff are separated forever! The second death has no power over us as we are redeemed by his blood! The blood shed at Calvary! For you and for me! Our payday is not very far off! So close I do not want to fall in love with this world but to Christ! One day your health will expire! Your effort to sustain yourself will end! Then who have you trusted with your eternity? Yourself who has just died? Are you going to raise yourself from the dead? Christ said that he is able to do exceedingly above all that we could ever ask or imagine! If we trust God in the here and now he will lead us in paths of righteousness and to a place he has prepared for us! Time Shall Be No More! Psalm 90:1

Lord God, thou has been our dwelling place in all generations. Comment: Moses wrote this Psalm and is the oldest Psalm in our Bible! What was Moses saying? Generations represent the revolution of time! Time reveals everything! It includes the revelation of God to men! It also reveals the character of man and the character of God! Time is linear and measurable! Time is the result of creation! Time does not measure creation it is creation! Time is your best friend or worst enemy depending on what you do with it! It allows you to find the living God or allows you to reject the living God! Time proves God’s faithfulness and man’s folly! Time is the opportunity presented to you for redemption! Time marches on as generations come and go! Every generation has to make a choice about God! Reverence him or reject him! After time passes for us the opportunity for accepting redemption passes! Then our choices are locked in forever! God wants to forgive you of your wrong choices but that requires repentance on your part! Humility rather than pride! Time opens the door and closes the door! Time presented the incarnation of God into flesh through his Son Jesus Christ into the earth! Time allowed his crucifixion on the Cross for our sin! Time will present his second coming into the earth! Time will reveal you redemption or judgment! Time is the best friend of the believer and the worst enemy of the unrepentant! Time allows us to receive God’s love and demonstrate God’s love to others! Water saved Noah and his family but destroyed the rest of the world! If you choose God the elements of the earth created by God will save you! If you reject the Savior the elements will destroy you! Which side of history will you choose? Your way or his way? Life or death? Sin or redemption? Living in Hell is not an option worth considering! Time shall be no more is declared in Revelation 10:6! This is the echo of Moses in Psalm 90! It expresses the highest and best of what Christ is and which he gives to his Saints! It is the highest blessing of the creature! It is the eternal part of us that never perishes! Your Best Friend Should Not Be You!

John 12:25 Greek Translation “He that has his best friend as his physical body shall be killed and destroyed eternally: and he that hateth his physical body in this world shall preserve it from danger unto life of the spirit and the soul apart from the physical body inheriting God’s life with eternal value and time.” Comment: Did you notice most of the advertising industry is based around your physical body? It is all about weight loss, hair loss, teeth loss, skin loss, ect. The cosmetic industry is a multi-billion dollar industry! Yet we will all physically die! Does that mean we do not care for our physical body? It means as Jesus said before the Cross do not let you physical body be your best friend! It will forsake you! It will be a corpse sooner or later with no value! We are the Temple of the Holy Spirit! God does not want us to pollute our bodies with sin and corruption! Love God and not your physical body! Jesus was saying death is the incubator for life! The eternal part of us is the spirit and the soul. We need to nourish this as the most valuable! Develop your soul as on a treadmill. Exercise your spirit and your soul! Practice Holiness! Use the time you have as a gift from God to lead other’s to Christ! Read and study your Bible daily! Pray daily! Spent time and money to reach the lost! Use your God given resources to support your local church! For those that make it to Heaven you will not be alone! Neither will those in Hell. Goliath Attends Rock Concert! 1 Samuel 17:

The name Goliath is a verb meaning to uncover, remove or go into exile! It means to expose. The name does not mean giant so don’t name your kid Goliath! Whether to expose Israel’s weakness or Goliath’s false gods? Goliath cursed David in the name of his gods. Notice gods is plural. He was an idol worshiper! How can I please all the gods? If I please one will I offend the others? Will I anger some of my gods? Superstition follows this belief system! Idol’s are usually made of stone or wood. They are man made carved images. They represent the gods men make! They are made in the image of men! Man making God! David replied to Goliath by saying, “The battle belongs to the Lord!” The name is singular! The name Lord means the self-existent one! It is the name Jehovah the God of Israel. Notice David took five smooth stones out of the brook. Why five? Goliath had four brothers who were also giants! They were later slain in battles but not by David. No images were carved on these stones by men! You might say Goliath’s name was on one of these five stones! These stones in the brook were formed by water and the creator God! The stones Goliath carved his image on were defeated by the stone God created! Sin is an image breaker! Islam is founded on Idol worship! Mecca is known as the place of the black stone. There were 360 idol’s in Mecca so they chose their best idol and named him Allah! The Jews were not Idol worshipers however when they did fall into this practice they were exiled by God! They were not exiled by a physical Goliath but were exiled by the spiritual Goliath!
