Wives & Ministry!

Martin Luther is famously known as the Father of the Reformation! He grew up in the organized church. However something was wrong? Not with the people but with the system. He was a German Monk who began the Protestant Reformation in the 16th Century and became the most influential and controversial figure in the history of Christianity! Today in the 21st Century Donald Trump would be the most influential and controversial figure in American politics in the last hundred years! Somehow if you have never noticed influence and controversy go together! You cannot have one without the other! If you are not influential you will have no controversy! Martin Luther had to drain the religious swamp! If no influence you will die alone in the grave yard! Luther was charged as heretical as a leader of a religious revolt! The organized church tried to impeach him! More than that they were running for their lives from the church and the State! They had to go under ground! After months as a refugee in his own country he went into a depression! His wife encouraged him in a most unusual way! She went to her bedroom and dressed in black! Black dress, shoes, hat, veil, socks and handbag! When she came out to the living room Martin saw her and told her that she looked like she was going to a funeral? Yes we are she replied! To the funeral of your God! Martin snapped out of the depression went to his prayer closet and penned the famous hymn “A Mighty Fortress is our God!” Wives carry and share the burdens of ministry! Remember Job’s wife? Curse God and die! I am sure she got Job out of his depression! Good wives do not like pity parties! My wife Hamsa over the years has been responsible to help carry this ministry! Our wives help to shed light on our human frailty! As we enter through a very dark period in American history of political upheaval, death, plagues, spiritual depravity and isolation we must remember when the night gets the darkest the light of Christ shines the brightest! That is what happened to me on my death bed back in 1973! They gave me last rites! I knew it was my last night on earth yet excited because I was going to find out if my Bible were true and this Christ it talked about? Jesus came into my room that night and told me in just three words that God Loved Me! Then in the same year Jesus sent Hamsa my dear wife into my life! God is no respecter of people and those who call on the name of the Lord shall be saved! In Jesus name! James & Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Is Christianity a White Man’s Religion?

My second question is are Arabs Caucasians? Findings; Arabs are Arabid. Arabid is a sub race of the Mediterranean Caucasian race. Arabs and Caucasians have the same origins as Europeans. Note that the Caucasians came out of the Middle East (Near Caucus, East Arab Levant, North of Iran). Comment: First of all the entire human race is related to each other! Also remember Ishmael is the offspring of Abraham! All of this shows us that the creation narrative of the Bible is accurate! My point here is sometimes when I witness to African American Muslims they will tell me Christianity is a white man’s religion? I politely explain to them that Mohammad was a white guy who had black slaves and nine wives! He also founded a religion where murder is justified if anyone disagrees with their theology about God? Then I ask them why would you want to follow this guy? James and Hamsa Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com

Do You Have a Meaningless Life? Ecclesiastes 1:1-9

Solomon was a wise man but sometimes not so wise! Starting life off with 1000 wives would not be a good starter? You would have to remember 3 wedding anniversaries everyday! Could he remember all their names? Name tags would help! Solomon seemed to be a cynical old man at times but he did write a book of wisdom! He tries to explain to us not to make the same mistakes! He took an honest look at his life! He was the richest man in the world! He did not spare himself any pleasure! Solomon wished he had asked himself the hard questions! Do you have time to wrestle with your Faith? Take an inventory of your Faith! Why do I believe? Why do I follow Jesus? Do you ask questions about God? Solomon repeated 27 times, “Is there anything new under the sun?” Life can seem burdensome and meaningless at times! I have two teenagers at home. We have on going conversations like when can I get my drivers license? When can I go off to college? I want to go to a college far away from home? Teenager’s want your money and your absence! Do not be in a hurry to grow up! Our daily routines of dishes, laundry, house cleaning repeat everyday with no end in sight! A lot of life is routine! You may hate your job and is just a paycheck? Sometimes we can lose our passion for life! Like Solomon we are looking for the right things in the wrong places! We are looking for something to give life meaning! In 1st Kings we see Solomon was a great builder! He built palaces and Houses of Worship! Today in 2015 people are not sparing themselves any pleasure! We have hundreds of options! We have all the electronic gadgets to amuse ourselves! We have drugs and alcohol to drown our meaningless in! Solomon arrived at emptiness! Is your tank on empty? When we reach the point of our limitations collapse can come! What can we turn too? Our need for completeness comes from outside of ourselves! Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus said come unto me! Those that are laboring and overburdened! To those that are carrying a heavy load! Jesus promised to those that receive His invitation He will give rest! Yes! Rest and refresh. You will find completion in Christ! How do you know you are doing well? Solomon had everything but was not doing well? Jesus said, “Come to me.” Solomon did not have the revelation of Christ we have today! True worship is to come to Jesus! Jesus did not come to promote Himself but to promote you! The Old Testament Books point to the Cross! People without Christ come to despair! You may have lost a key relationship? Husband or wife? Son or daughter? You may have lost a job or business failure? A sickness or accident may have taken your ability away to provide for your family? Internal failure requires and external rescue! When we learn we cannot make it own our own then we discover the only one who can give us rest! We discover Christ’s yoke is easy and His burden is light! A yoke is designed for two! Let Jesus come along side you and lift you out of your troubles! Rest in Him! Talk with Him! Walk with Him! Think on Him! Discover in Him! Love in Him! Plan in Him! Win in Him! Stand in Him! Trust in Him! Faith in Him and He will never leave nor forsake you! Source; Pastor Brady Boyd, New Life Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Doctrine of Estrangement! 1 Peter 2:9

We are a peculiar people! Peculiar meaning we have reached a point or place in time where we have found purpose in God together! Notice not a peculiar person but people. People meaning a mass of humanity of all nations joined together in one purpose. We belong to a nation of people. We are a chosen people by God through Christ to minister and serve others. His church is a proclaiming community! We are organized to take care of others. As citizens of Heaven we seek the peace of the city we live in. Start a good work where you are. Bloom where you are planted. Seek to help the most vulnerable of our culture. Paul sought to free a slave. We are not to Lord over others in our family and community but demonstrate love in our marriage and family! Wives are to submit to their husband and the husband is to protect his wife. There is strength in kindness! If you have to be told you are a leader you are not! The way you are is the way you tell your story to the world. You proclaim what you are. Sin has and is causing estrangement in our world. The cultural wars of divorce, untraditional marriage, drugs, crime and corruption at all levels lead the way to estrangement in our nation! In the Book of Genesis we see creation of the world and man. Everything started out right but sin caused Adam and Eve to blame God and each other. Sin has caused us to run and hide from God and each other. It became finger pointing! She made me do it! The Devil made me do it! In Genesis chapter 11 we see the Tower of Babel where men wanted to make a name for themselves! Sound familiar? The unity here resulted in man wanting to build his own kingdom! Man has unified against God throughout history! God divided the languages and confused the people. This lead to tribalism, separation, violence and a fragmented society. So what was God’s solution? To send His Son Christ into the world! In Ephesians chapter 2 we see God putting to death separation and estrangement. He instituted the resurrected life! In Acts chapter 2 at Pentecost 120 people speaking different languages but understanding each other. One language became many and then many languages became one! Many people became a peculiar people. The Holy Spirit is joining together many people for one purpose! God reverses estrangement! Why are we a peculiar people? The church is a community within where the Holy Spirit reverses all previous estrangements! We are a eschatological community! God’s first intent consummates in the church! In Revelation chapter 5 and chapter 7 every nation and people group comes back together again! At the end of the day we win together! In Revelation chapter 21 we see no more death and a new Heaven and earth living in peace and joy. Heaven and earth become one just as we say in our Lord’s prayer! Two become one. If we know the end then we can make the right choices and do the right thing now! Start today. We are called to live and die for one another! If we as His church do the right thing today then Jesus will have little to do when He returns! The word, “Apocalypse” is used 18 times in the New Testament. To most of the world it means the end of the world. The word in the Greek translates; disclosure, revelation, enlightenment and manifestation. Romans 8:19— creation itself is groaning for redemption of the earth through storms, earthquakes and other events. The world is waiting for the Apocalyptical church and our Christ to return! We are a chosen people and a royal priesthood! As we take communion this morning do you feel estranged from God and others? Jesus paid the price on the Cross to bring us together. Jesus poured out His blood for you! In estrangement Cain slew Abel and his blood cried out from the ground for redemption! Murder is the last act of estrangement but Jesus laid down His life as a sacrifice on the Cross for you! The marriage supper of the Lamb is waiting for you and me as described in Revelation. The differences we have is removed by God in unity with Him! It is joyful in Heaven and not sorrowful! God is inviting you back to Heaven this morning! We cannot hold bitterness. We cannot drink the poison and expect others to die! We have through Christ the power to forgive! Come to His altar now and experience the ending of separation between you and God and man! Muslim or Mormon for President?

Which one do you want?Would you rather be Muslim mad or Mormon mad? Just a joke here but I cannot help myself! Another Joke; Muslim mad is to blow yourself up and get 70 virgins! Mormon mad is to marry and add another woman to your wives list! Obama will never blow himself up and Romney is faithful to his wife! Evangelist Billy Graham encouraged Americans to vote Biblical Values! I agree! Mr. Graham went on to say that these values include three impotant points. 1. Protect sactity of life. 2. Protect definition of marriage as between a man and a woman. 3. Support the Nation of Israel. Unquote. When I apply these 3 principles to the candidates running for president of the United States I am left with only one choice! Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Thankyou. James Sasse. GodWhoisGod.com
